Now that we have a renewed mind and can now see and hear with accuracy, I want to look at a few words that have suffered much misuse and no true understanding, these words are "repent" and "repentance," in both OT and NT.
First only Israel was told to repent in both the OT and NT as it alone held a stiffness or hardness of heart. In Revelation it is again used for the churches of Judaism who had turned to Christ. Today we see this in many who claim to be what they are in fact not, at lease not as far as spiritual growth goes. For they have not yet broke away from religions dark hold on them and their thinking or power of observation goes.
Repent: OT Strong's H5162, H7725, these have 21 verses and 22 matches. NT Strong's G3340, G3338, are used in 22 verses and have 24 matches.
Old Testament:
Strong's H5162, (AHLB) 2392; I. Comfort: To give comfort in time of difficulty or sorrow. II. Regret: To have sorrow for an action. kjv: comfort, repent, comforter, ease.
Strong's H7725, (AHLB)1423; Turn co: A turning back to a previous state or place. - Return: To turn back. [Hebrew and Aramaic] kjv: return, again, turn, back, away, restore, bring, render, answer, recompense, recover, deliver, put, withdraw, requite.
New Testament:
Strong's G3340, Thayer's Definition, from G3326 and G3539; metanoeō; 1) to change one’s mind, i.e. to repent 2) to change one’s mind for better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of one’s past sins.
G3326; meta, a primary preposition: 1) with, after, behind. And G3539; noieō, a verb: 1) to perceive with the mind, to understand, to have understanding. 2) to think upon, heed, ponder, consider
Strong's G3338, Thayer's Definition, from G3326 and G3199; metamellomai, a verb; 1) it is a care to one afterwards 1a) it repents one, to repent one’s self, from G3326 and the middle voice of G3199; G3326, meta, a primary preposition:1) with, after, behind. And 3199; melō, a verb; 1) to care about.
Daniel Webster's 1828 Dictionary states this:
PEN'ANCE, n. 1. The suffering, labor or pain to which a person voluntarily subjects himself, or which is imposed on him by authority as a punishment for his faults, or as an expression of penitence; such as fasting, flagellation, wearing chains, &c. Penance is one of the seven sacraments of the Romish church.2. Repentance.
REPENT'ANCE, n. 1. Sorrow for any thing done or said; the pain or grief which a person experiences in consequence of the injury or inconvenience produced by his own conduct. 2. In theology, the pain, regret or affliction which a person feels on account of his past conduct, because it exposes him to punishment. This sorrow proceeding merely from the fear of punishment, is called legal repentance, as being excited by the terrors of legal penalties, and it may exist without an amendment of life. 3. Real penitence; sorrow or deep contrition for sin, as an offense and dishonor to God, a violation of his holy law, and the basest ingratitude towards a Being of infinite benevolence. This is called evangelical repentance, and is accompanied and followed by amendment of life.
Repentance is a change of mind, or a conversion from sin (a worldly mindset) to God. Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation. 2 Cor 7, Mat 3. Repentance is the relinquishment of any practice, from conviction that it has offended God.
RE'PENT, a. [L. repo, to creep.] Creeping; as a repent root. REPENT', v.i. [L. re and paeniteo, from paena, pain. Gr. See Paint.] 1. To feel pain, sorrow or regret for something done or spoken; as, to repent that we have lost much time in idleness or sensual pleasure; to repent that we have injured or wounded the feelings of a friend. A person repents only of what he himself has done or said. 2. To express sorrow for something past.
Enobarbus did before thy face repent. 3. To change the mind in consequence of the inconvenience or injury done by past conduct.
Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return. Exo 13. 4. Applied to the Supreme Being, to change the course of providential dealings. Gen 6, Psa 106. 5. In theology, to sorrow or be pained for sin, as a violation of God's holy law, a dishonor to his character and government, and the foulest ingratitude to a Being of infinite benevolence.
Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13, Acts 3.
REPENT', v.t 1. To remember with sorrow; as, to repent rash words; to repent an injury done to a neighbor; to repent follies and vices. [See Repentance.] 2. With the reciprocal pronoun.
No man repented him of his wickedness. Jer 8. [This form of expression is now obsolete.]
Why? You may ask am I doing this, to show the err of the religionist's use of these words to force people to believe a falsehood of prayer for the dead and penance of stealing tithes and offerings for the dead. Even those who claim a being born from above have misused and misapplied these terms because of wrong teachings and beliefs. My hope is that the veil is lifted from peoples spiritual eyes and ears so that all may see and hear what the Spirit is saying to us today by our re-genesis or regeneration.
REGEN'ERATE, v.t. [L. regenero; re and genero. See Generate.] 1. To generate or produce anew; to reproduce.
Through all the soil a genial ferment spreads, regenerates the plants and new adorns the meads. 2. In theology, to renew the heart by a change of affections; to change the heart and affections from natural enmity to the love of God; to implant holy affections in the heart.
REGEN'ERATE, a. [L. regeneratus.] 1. Reproduced. 2. Born anew; renovated in heart; changed from a natural to a spiritual state.
REGENERA'TION, n. 1. Reproduction; the act of producing anew. 2. In theology, new birth by the grace of God; that change by which the will and natural enmity of man to God and His law (of Love and Faith become active) while the Law of letters are subdued, and a principle of supreme love to God and His law, or holy affections, are implanted in the heart.
He saved us by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3.
From here I will turn my attention to John 5:1-18 and verse 14 where we have this "sin no more," there was no repentance required of this man! Only go and do! Now we find this in the KJV and then the ESV:
John 5:14 of 1-18 "After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, [1]Wilt thou be made whole? ([1] Theleis, from thelo, to resolve, desire, not merely, do you wish, but are you in earnest?) The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith to him, [2]Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.([2] egeiro, to awaken from sleep) And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.(Grace offends the legalistic mindset. See Romans 3:27) He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said to me, Take up thy bed, and walk. Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, '[1] Behold, thou art made whole: [1] sin no more, lest a [2]worse thing come unto thee.' The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole. And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God."
Now here for comparison is the ESV:
John 5:14 of 1-18 "After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, in Aramaic called Bethesda, which has five roofed colonnades. In these lay a multitude of invalids—blind, lame, and paralyzed. One man was there who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, "Do you want to be healed?" The sick man answered him, "Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am going another steps down before me." Jesus said to him, "Get up, take up your bed, and walk." And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked. Now that day was the Sabbath. So the Jews said to the man who had been healed, "It is the Sabbath, and it is not lawful for you to take up your bed." But he answered them, "The man who healed me, that man said to me, 'Take up your bed, and walk.'" They asked him, "Who is the man who said to you, 'Take up your bed and walk'?" Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, as there was a crowd in the place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, "[1]See, you are well! [2] Sin no more, that nothing [3]worse may happen to you." The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him. And this was why the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them, "My Father is working until now, and I am working." This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God."
Here's the notes for verse 14, taken from the Mirror study Bible:
It is so important to [1] Behold G2396 see your wholenesness and not your distortedness! We reflect what we behold. To see ourselves through God's eyes is the only way to escape the distortion of contradiction! The word G2396 [1] ide from horao means to see, to discern, to perceive. The word translated sin [2] (G264), is the word [1] hamartia, from ha, negative and meros (G3313), portion or form, thus to be without your alloted portion or without form, pointing to a disorientated, distorted identity; the word meros, is the stem of morphe, as in 2Corinthians 3:18 the word metamorphe, with form, is the opposite of hamartia, without from. Sin is to live out of context with the blueprint of our design; to behave out of tune with GOD's original harmony. Hamartia suggests anything that could possibly distract from the awareness of our original likeness. See Deuteronomy 32:18, (KJV reads, "Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee." The ESV reads thus: "You were unmindful of the Rock that bore you, and you forgot the God who gave you birth." The Mirror reads: "You have forgotten the Rock that begot you and have gotten out of step with the GOD who danced with you!" Many translators and commentators have used this verse to conclude that GOD punishes people's sin with sickness! This is not the Father whom Jesus reveals! A few verses later [v 22] Jesus emphatically declares that the Father judges no-one! Those of a religious mindset have for so long connect GOD with judgment and wrath of diseases and sicknesses! All of which Jesus introduces us to a GOD and Father who would rather become our distortions and diseases on the cross and go into our darkness and hell to deliever us from its claim, than to send sickness to us and send us to hell! In John 9:2 the followers of Jesus asks, "Rabbi, who sinned: this man or his parents, causing him to be born blind?" Jesus' answers, 'You're asking the wrong question. You're looking for someone to blame. Never this man nor his parents were guilty!' Then Knox translates the text sentence to read, "it was so that God's action might declare itself in him!" This has nothing to do with judgment! See also 9:34 for the typical opinion of the Pharisees! "You were born in utter sin, now you try to teach us!" Nothing makes a Pharisee more nervous and mad than when their sin and judgment paradigm gets taken out of the equation! They just wont accept us as being with the Holy Spirit.
The revealing of the Revelation and the mysteries in the Light of the Gospel of the risen Lord Jesus Christ as given to Paul the Apostle to the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel. As contained in the letters of Paul, to the Romans on through Philemon and the letter of persuasion written to the Hebrews. A Bible study and other insights. So we should get off that milk bottle. We have to tell those who find us and begin to read the posts to throw the milk bottle away.

The saga of The Secret of GOD, part 6.11.01, the worldly mind verses the renewed mind.
Not long ago we looked at GOD being our teacher, this took place in 6.07. Now I want to take a closer look from John's point of view in chapter 3 of his synoptic gospel message, beginning at verse 12 where Jesus is speaking. Now this will be taken from the new "The Mirror Study Bible." Now it must of necessity be pointed out that all that Jesus did and said are held in Deuteronomy 18:15-22's revelation.
John 3:12-22 If I speak incarnate language to you [Plural - you Jewish law-based-religious leaders] and you are not persuaded about our common origin, how will you be persuaded about heavenly things? (Here we are person-face to face-the prophetic word incarnate!)
No one can fully engage in heaven's perspective, unless one's heavenly origin is realized! The Son of man declares humanity's co-genesis from above!
(This is my mission: See the prophetic relevance-this is how the veil will be removed!) Remember how Moses lifted up the [1] serpent in the wilderness even so the son of man will be lifted up! (John 12:31-33; Now is the judgment of this world, now shall the ruler of this world be cast out; and I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all judgment unto me. He said this to show by what death he was to die. Revelation 12:9. John 3:13-14 are most significant since they point to the very essence of the Mission of Jesus-the co-begotten of the human race now redeemed in our co-crucifixion and co-resurrection on the third day into newness of life! 1Peter 1:3. The word serpent in the Greek is [1] ophis, the serpent at the end of Revelation 12.)
In the same prophetic pattern, I will be lifted up for all to see and be equally persuaded in the echo of the life of the ages now redeemed within them! The entire [5] cosmos is the object of GOD's affection! and He is not about to abandon His creation - the [2] gift of His Son is for humanity to realize their origin in Him who mirrors their [3] authentic birth - begotten not of flesh but of the Father! [See John 1:13] In this persuasion the life of the ages [4] echoes within the individual and announces that the days of regret and sense of [1] lost-ness are over! (The KJV reads, "Whoever [4] believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." The same word translated in the KJV to perish is translated in Luke 15 to be lost. In order to underline the value of the value of the individual, Jesus tells the famous three parables in Luke 15 of the lost sheep, coin and son; now all found, safe and sound! In everyone he repeats the word [1] lost, apollumi, to lose, to emphasize the fact that you cannot be lost unless you belong - to begin with! The word [1] apollumi, also suggests a sense of uselessness; that which comes to ruin and amounts to nothing! The word [2] didomi, to give, in this case to give something to someone that already belongs to them; thus, to return. The fact that they already are his own, born from above, they have thier beginning and their being in him is now confirmed in their realization of it! He is the "only begotten," [3] monogenes; begotten only of the Father and not of the flesh; in him we recognize our true beginning - as in the authentic origin mold (Gen. 1:26-27). The word [4] echo, to hold, or embrace, as in echo. The word, [5] kosmos, in the NT refers to the entire human family)
GOD has no intention to condemn anyone - He sent His Son, not to be the Judge but the savior of the world. His Faith and not our flesh defines us! In the persuasion of our authentic sonship there is no [1] separation or rejection! For someone to prefer not to embrace this is to remain under their own judgment sustained by their futile efforts to define themselves through personal performance. In their stubborn unbelief they [1] reject what is revealed and redeemed in the Name of the Son, begotten only of the Father and not the flesh. (The word [1] krino, means to separate; to reject; to judge; to condemn. In naming His Son Jesus, the Father openly announces His resolve, which has always been to rescue and redeem His image and likeness in incarnate sonship. As Paul says in Ephesians 3:15 Every family in heaven and on earth originates in Him; His is humanity's family name and He remains the authentic identity of every nation. Also in Titus 2:11 The grace of God shines as bright as day making the salvation of humanity undeniably visible. Galatians 1:16 This is the heart of the gospel that I proclaim; it began with an unveiling of sonship in me, freeing me to announce the same sonship in the masses of non-Jewish people. I felt no immediate urgency to compare notes with those who were familiar with Christ from a mere historic and human point of veiw. See also Hebrews 1:1-3) And this is the [1] crisis: the light is here right now, yet people are so addicted to their own darkness that they prefer a life of [2] labors, annoyances and hardships! (The word [1] krisis, is often translated judgment. The word for evil, [2] poneros, translates, full of hardships annoyances and labors.)
When someone is engaged in something [1] worthless, they often fear exposure and feel threatened by the light! (The word, [1] phaulos means worthless; also used in James 3:16, all kinds of worthless pursuits.)
(But I have good news for you Nicodemus! You won't ever need to hide in darkness again!) He who discovers the [1] poetry of truth, faces the light unashamedly - his lifestyle boldly displays the workmanship of union with GOD! His works speak for themselves - "Made in heaven - wrought in GOD!" (Like Nicodemus there are many following at a "comfortable" distance, hidden in disguise - they too are invited to turn and face the redeeming light of the Love of GOD!)
Form there Jesus and His followers went to the region of Judea and spend some [1] bonding-time together - [2] immersed in conversation. (The word [1] diatribo, carries the idea of a road well traveled; tarrying together - the text says and there he baptized - yet in chapter 4:2 John comments that Jesus Himself did not baptize anyone. The word [2] baptitso, means to immerse; for what it is worth, I thought to reflect on the bonding and cleansing that takes place in conversation, "You are already made clean by the word which I have spoken to you." John 15:3. I'm but Jesus' baptism shifts the emphasis from the prophetic water symbol to a baptism into words and spirit thoughts. He knows and communicates that His baptism into humanity's death, as lamb f GOD, is what John's prophetic baptism pointed to in the first place.)
For some this may shed some light and that is my reason for sharing....

The saga of The Secret of GOD, part 6.11, the worldly mind verses the renewed mind.
I am looking at our every day Bible with a renewed mind from the perspective of our being in the Image and Likeness of GOD as stated in Genesis 1:26-27 which has been from the beginning. All of this because of the Mirror Study Bible and its love affair revelation of GOD for His creation, of His Humanity. Which opens up the scriptures under His Light of seeing us and not our own opinions or that of mans false religions, which by the way fostered a great distortions and perversions of scripture to keep humanity in slavery and darkness to its theologies and ideology. There are many passages within our Bibles that have the earmarks of being manipulated some of which I have shared within this blog before so I will move on the a religious work used by the worlds religion and its church to keep people under its control, this word is "re-penance." Or pay penance is the way it has been used for 1960 ADE years more or less. And 3000 (BC), this going back into Israels past. To approach this I will call upon three witness, the first will be Able, Enoch (is from the third son of Adam and Eve, Seth) and then father Abram who became the son of righteous by GOD's adding grace (ha) to his name making him Abraham. All of these men are witness to the fact and truth that there was no penance needed to establish a relationship with GOD. For they simply took His at His word, just as we are too. But first Genesis 1:26-27 from the KJV and the ESV as a means of comparison. I do this because of those who mistakenly claim the authority of their brainwashing about the KJV being the only true and authorized word of GOD. Now before anyone raises a stink or debate, man (both man and female) in Genesis 1 is as GOD is Spirit.
Genesis 1:26-27, 31 (KJV) "And [1]God said, Let [2]us make man in [2]our [3]image after our [4]likeness: and let them have [5]dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own [3]image, in the [3]image of God created He him; male and female created He them." 31 "And God saw every thing that HE had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."
Genesis 1:26-27, 31 (ESV) "Then [1]God said, "Let [2]us make man in [2]our [3]image, after [2]our [4]likeness. And let them have [5]dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His own [3]image, in the [3]image of God He created him; male and female He created them." 31 "And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day."
Luke 3:36-38 (ESV) "The son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech, The son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan, the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of GOD (Elohim)."
Hebrews 11:4, 5-6, 7, 8 of 3-6, 7, 8-10 (ESV) "By (GOD's) faith we understand that the universe was created by the Word (Strong's G4487, Thayer's definition: that which is or has been uttered by the living voice, thing spoken, Compare G3004) of GOD, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. By (GOD's) faith Abel offered to GOD (because of 3:21's impact on him, [KJV] Gen 3:21 "Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed (to cover their fallen state and condition, nature, shame, the result of the "I am-not" fruit tree, this is seen by how Adam replied to GODS question in verse 10 and12.) them." [ESV] "And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them.") a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain (a flesh ruled man because of the actions of 3:1-7, mans fallen nature now showing up), through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. And through His (GODS) faith, though Abel died, he still speaks. By (GOD's) faith Enoch was taken up (departed / rapture) so that he should not see death (the first son taken in what could be labeled as a rapture), and he was not found, because GOD had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased GOD. For without (GOD's in us) faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would (we are all nearer to GOD today then is being taught) draw near to GOD must believe that HE exists and that HE rewards (rewards are NOT earned, they are a gift!) those who seek Him.
By (GOD's) faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by (GOD's grace of) faith.
By (GOD's) faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is GOD."
Word meanings from Genesis 1:26-27:
1. GOD [1] Strong's H430 [AHLB, definition; yoke, a shepherds staff on the shoulder [Isaiah 9:4], meaning power, Power: The power or might of one who rules or teaches. One who yokes with another. Often applied to rulers or a god. [Hebrew and Aramaic]
2. [2] plural: meaning two or more.
3. [3] image: Strong's H6754 AHLB, definition; Image: Also an image or form of something as the shadow of the original. [Hebrew and Aramaic]
4. [4] likeness: Strong's H1823 [AHLB, definition; blood, Likeness: Likeness A son from the blood of his father resembles his father.]
5. [5] dominion: Strong's H7287 [AHLB, definition; man through the door: kjv: rule, dominion, take, prevail, reign, ruler.]
Now for the second of this two part study, please notice that penance or re-penance is not part of this witness. It does not come until Israel comes out from among them, the Egyptians and because of hardness of heart is called to repent. The wording in the first example reflects a little understood reality of the "it is finished" work of the cross, burial, resurrection and ascension. Our justification, the restoring of our first innocence, of image and likeness. The veil having been torn from top to bottom by GOD.
Abel's Acceptable Worship Sacrifice, by GOD's Faith
"By (God) faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of His / his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks." (Hebrews 11:4 KJV)
The LORD God desires that people become true spiritual worshipers of Him. "The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him" (John 4:23). This can only become a reality through faith in the Lord. One helpful example of this is Abel's acceptable worship sacrifice, by faith.
Enoch's Pleasing Walk with God, by GOD's Faith
"By faith (God in) Enoch was translated so that he did not see death . . . for before his translation (departed / ruptured) he had this testimony, that he pleased God. For without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:5-6 KJV)
Before Enoch was taken to heaven, he walked with God in a manner that pleased the LORD God. Enoch's trust in God's faith is what was pleasing unto Him. "Before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without (God's grace of) faith it is impossible to please Him." Pleasing God, as Enoch did, should be our desire.
Noah Building an Ark, by GOD's Faith
"By faith (God in) Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith." (Hebrews 11:7 KJV)
At times, the LORD God asks His people to engage in assignments that seem to make no sense at all. Perhaps, it is a task that we have never undertaken. Perhaps, it is preparation for a problem that we have never encountered previously. One of the most profound examples from such categories was Noah building an ark, by (God's grace of) faith. His example is profound both in the circumstances that he faced, as well as the extent of the impact of his faithful response.
Abraham's Obedient, Earthly Sojourn, by GOD's Faith
By faith (God in) Abraham (ha, grace: within him, his new name being God's identity restored) obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would afterward receive (no penance / repentance required for this gift) as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By (God's grace of) faith he sojourned in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is GOD. (Hebrews 11:8-10 KJV)
Abraham provides one of the most profound studies concerning the extensive consequences of walking by (GOD's) faith. One lesson he offers is that trusting God enables us to obediently leave familiar settings to follow the LORD God into new, uncertain situations and vistas. Beyond this, Abraham's example sheds light on how to face our entire journey on earth. We see this in Abraham's obedient, earthly sojourn, by (GOD's grace and) faith.

Continuing with the saga of The Secret of GOD, part 6.10 the worldly mind verses the renewed mind.
We are looking into the change that GOD does with our perception from within us by His Grace, that is to say Christ. When we have, if you will, come face to face with Him and the cross of our redemption of innocence, this being the mission of Jesus. For this I will look at Revelation chapter 20 beginning at the eleventh verse through verse fifteenth (like a parallel Bible would do) in the KJV, ESV and the Mirror Study Bible, verse by verse. By doing this hopefully we will see a bit of the err of the translations of the KJV and ESV as they stand now. For "The Mirror," expresses most accurately the change of our thought pattern when we are reborn, birthed from above, re-genesis, or for those of the modern era, rebooted. Following the Mirror I will include the study notes from it.
KJV
Revelation 20:11-15 "I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
ESV
Revelation 20:11-15 "Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."
The Mirror
Revelation 20:11 "I saw a huge white Throne and it was as if heaven and earth fled away from the presence of the One seated upon this Throne and His place was never found again." (This means that there is no accusation in the heavens or upon the earth that could possibly stand in the presence of the Lamb, the One seated upon this Throne of the judgment of righteousness - His Throne gives testimony (witness) to humanity's redeemed acquittal! Hebrews 1:3 "Having made purification for sins He sat down!" There exists no evidence that could be brought from any sphere or dimension that could possibly testify against the human race - Acts 17 "The GOD of creation has overlooked the times of ignorance and now urgently persuades all of humanity everywhere to awaken in their understanding to the fact of their innocence - He appointed a day and a person and on that day and in that person GOD would judge the world in righteousness and of this he has given proof by raising Jesus from the dead! The resurrection Jesus is the official receipt and verification of the verdict confirming humanity's redeemed innocence! Romans 4:25, Revelation 20:4; also Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, in the [1]rebooting of mankind, when the Son of man shall sit on His glorious Throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. The word [1] paliggenesia, suggests a complete restoration to the original, in modern terms, rebooted. From palin, again by repetition and genesis, source. Only used in Matthew 19:28 and Titus 3:5)
Revelation 20:12 "I saw everyone who ever died, small and great, standing before GOD. And the books were opened! The Book of Life! The first volume of books represented humanity's judgment on their own works, versus the Book of Life which celebrates the triumph of the Lamb!" (Revelation 3:5 Everyone who sees their victory in Me will I clothe in white garments - and they will realize that I am not in the business of fulfilling their law and performance based fears by blotting out their names from the Book of Life! Instead I am the one who endorses their identity face to face before My Father and His Shepherd-Messengers. [This language is taken from the custom of registering the names of the person in a list, roll, or catalogue. In Jewish tradition there was a prevailing fear that your name might be blotted out of the Book of Life if your behavior did not please God.])
Revelation 20:13 "Every domain where the dead was held, yielded them up to be judged according to his works [the work of Jesus]. Everyone was there; the sea yielded up its dead also Death and Hades yielded up their dead." (The singular, "his works," rather than, their works, is the text by Tischendorf. Also note Revelation 22:12 "Behold! [again in the Aorist Imperative form!] Noe get the message, once and for all! I am come! There are no further delays! This is the hour the Prophets pointed to! And My reward is with Me, to give to each as his [the Lamb's] work is.)
Revelation 20:14 "Then Death and Hades were cast into the Lake of fire. This is the second death. (The Second Death is not to distract from the once and for all death that Jesus died, but to endorse it. In the Lake of fire, Death and Hades are eradicated from memory. The first is the once and for all death that Jesus died, representing the global death of humanity, mankind, humankind. Jesus' death took mankind's death in Adam, out of the equation! [Hebrews 9:27-28; 2Corinthians 5;14-17] The idea of the second death has to do with the fact that the revelation of everyone's inclusion in the death of Jesus, has not yet dawned on some - so it will take a crisis, often, their own death, to immediately engage them with the symbolic cleansing [from their unbelief] represented by the Lake of burning Sulphur, purifying like in a furnace, separating the gold from the dross-mindset. revelation 2:11 and 20:6)
Revelation 20:15 "And [1] everything that was not written in the Book of Life was poured into the lake of fire. (The Greek word used with, ei tis, meaning everything or everyone - but, what is cast into the symbolic Lake ablaze with Brimstone is not a person but a mindset! A distorted perception of identity! (The authentic ID of humanity is defined in the Book of Life - or the Tree of Life, representing the redeemed life of our design, versus the alternative Tree of the knowledge of good and evil, representing humanity's identity under scrutiny and question. The "I am not-Tree" heads up the System of a Works and Performance Based Philosophy. To have your name written in the Book of Life simply suggests that you discover your original identity there in the Zoe-life redeemed by the Lamb. You may have only known yourself according to the flesh, as Simon, the son of Jonah, while you really are a Petros! Mr. Rock, you are a chip of the old Block! Every evidence of an inferior identity will be cast into the lake of Sulphur burning away the dross to reveal the gold! Any idea of an identity outside of the Book of Life, is dissolved! Continuing with the saga of The Secret of GOD, part 6.09 the worldly mind verses the renewed mind.
In my last posting I introduced the Mirror Study Bible as the Romance of the Ages. As it reveals the person of Christ. With a GOD Centeric mindset, as spoken of in our earlier postings in both this blog and that of GOD has Only One Way for Us All, linked to this one. I want to capitalize on this as I am currently between chapters in Revelation, they being 3 and 4, where the writer states the follow as an explanation of "a thief in the night." For my part it is laziness on my part, as this writer has done a great job of opening up the mystery of Christ, throughout this study.
Like a Thief in the Night.
Revelation 3:3 (The Mirror) Remember therefore what it felt like when you first heard and [1] embraced the word as your own! It was like discovering a priceless [2]treasure! Now [3]make up your mind once again and for all! [4]Why should I surprise you like a thief and break into your space while you are fast to sleep and not even anticipating My [5]intimate intent; not knowing the moment of My [5]visitation?
(The word [1] eilephas from lambano is in the perfect tense, meaning, what you received as a permanent deposit. The word [2] tereo means to treasure. The word wrongly translated, "repent" from the Latin, re-pennance is metanoia - to think with Me. Here [3] metanoesan, is in the Aorist imperative - meaning, "Engage your thoughts with My thoughts once and for all - get it over it and get it done with!" From metanoia, meta together with and nous mind, thought. The word [4] ean suggests, if perhaps, in case you were not alert, you would not anticipate the intimacy of My presence. The word [5] heko means to be present - to approach one with intimate intent. The Hebrew idiom, like a thief in the night, refers to the surprise element; this is in reference to one of the traditions of the Jewish marriage practises as celebrated in the 1st century, where the groom comes to "retrieve' his bride at an unexpected moment. This is to be looked for with joyful expectation.
1Thessalonians 5:2 (The Mirror) You know for yourselves from experience how the day of the Lord suddenly dawns like a thief in the night!
Acts 9:3 (The Mirror) Now as he (Saul of Tarsus who became Paul) journeyed he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed about him. 2Corinthians 4:6 For it is God who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' who has shone in our hearts to give the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. Isaiah 9:2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined. John 1:9 A new day for humanity has come. The authentic light of life that illuminates everyone was about to dawn in the world!
1Thessalonians 5:3-10 (The Mirror) The systems of this world of darkness and unbelief, which held the masses under their pseudo-sway of make-belief peace and security shall suddenly be broken into, like travail upon a woman with child, and none of their captives shall remain under their charm! (the gates of Hades shall not prevail!) You are no longer in darkness; there are no daunting surprises waiting for you like a thief in the night! All of you are begotten of light, "the Day of the Lord" is your true parent! Neither night nor darkness have any claim on you! Live alert and you not become intoxicated by the indifference of others. Sleeping and drunkenness are typical things people do at night, but now the day of the Lord has dawned within us and has put an end to the slumbering effect and intoxication of the practices of darkness. So let us clothe ourselves with day-garments, protecting our sober seeing by having our hearts fully guarded by the breastplate of love-inspired faith, and having our minds encircled, like a helmet, with an expectation which is consistent with what salvation declares! For God did not set us up for disappointment; He is not teasing us with desires that we desperately reach for but cannot attain to! He has brought us to a place where we are surrounded by the poetry of what salvation communicates in the lordship of Jesus Christ. (The word often translated, wrath, is the word orge, from oregomai which means to stretch oneself out with strong and passionate desire.) The fact that He died our death is equally valid to those who are awake to its effects or still fast to sleep in their indifference to it; we are together destined to live in the closest possible association with Him! (The word hama is a particle of union denoting close association.)
The writer of the Mirror is in agreement with what I has been saying in these blogs. That is to have the heart of God in mind at all times as we are and were created by His hand and then received His breath as our life at our birthing from our mother womb. We are His love children made in His image and likeness as restored to us all by the man Jesus, Emmanuel who was the Messiah of promise. "GOD in human form."

Continuing with the saga of The Secret of GOD, part 6.08 the worldly mind verses the renewed mind.
The number eight [8} is mans perfection with GOD on the inside of him. Now I think what I have been looking for is in Galatians 4:1-7 which states this in the ESV:
Galatians 4:4-5 of 1-7 "I mean that the heir, as long as he is a child, is no different from a slave, though he is the owner of everything, but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by his father. In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the elementary {religions do's and don't with politics thrown in as the other 6 of the 6-6 of flowed man's inferior mind-set} principles of the world. For when the fullness of time (the end of the purely Jewish days, the dispensational period of the Mosaic Law) had come, GOD sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the [Mosaic] Law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, GOD has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through GOD."
Verse 5 paraphrased: His mandate was to rescue the human race from the regime of the Law of performance and announce the revelation of their true sonship in GOD!
Now our true state of sonship is again realized! [John 1:12; 1John 1:11-14] It was not as though He arrived on a foreign planet, He came to His own, yet His own did not recognize Him. [Psalm 24:1] But to everyone who realized their association in Him, by conviction that He was indeed their life, in them He confirms that we are His offspring. These are they who discover their genesis in God beyond their natural conception! Man began in GOD. We are not the invention of our parents! Suddenly the invisible eternal Word takes on the visible form! The Incarnation! In Him, in us! The most accurate tangible display of God's glory of eternal thought finds expression in human life! The Word became a human being; we are His address; He resides in us! He captivates our gaze! The glory we see there is not a religious replica; He is the authentic monogenes begotten only of God. In Him we recognize our true beginning. The glory of Adam lost, returned! In Fullness! Only Grace can communicate truth in such complete context! ~The Mirror
Now again I seek the LORD for what He wants of me.
