The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 13.1, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

Beginning with verse 8 of Romans 13 where we find the law of Agape - Love overruling all other forms and types of laws.

Romans 13:8-11, 12-14 "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law [in Exodus 20:13-15, Deuteronomy 5:17-19, Leviticus 19:18]. "For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
The night [evil and chaos] is far spent (G4298), the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting(G2970) and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on(G1746) the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof." (KJV)

Romans 13:8-11, 12-14 "Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments [in Exodus 20:13-15, Deuteronomy 5:17-19, Leviticus 19:18], "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no wrong [works no evil] to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.
The night [evil and chaos] is far gone(G4298); the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies(G2970) and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on(G1746) the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires." (ESV)

Romans 13:8-11, 12-14 "Remain debt free; the only thing we owe the world is our love. This is the essence of the Law. Love makes it impossible for you to commit adultery, or to kill someone, or to steal from someone, speak evil of anyone, or to covet anything that belongs to someone else. Your only option is to esteem a fellow human with equal value to yourself. Everything love does is to the advantage of another; therefore, love is the most complete expression of what the Law requires. You must understand the urgency and context of time; it is most certainly now the hour to wake up at once out of the hypnotic state of slumber and unbelief. Salvation has come.
It was [1]night for long enough(G4298); the day has arrived. Cease immediately with any action associated with the darkness of ignorance. Clothe yourselves in the radiance of light as a soldier would wear his full weaponry. (The night is far spent, [1, G4298 from G4253 and G2875] prokopto, as a smith forges a piece of metal until he has hammered it into its maximum length.) Our lives exhibit the kind of conduct consistent with the day, in contrast to the [1, G2970] parade of the night of intoxicated licentiousness and lust, with all the quarrels and jealousy it ignites. (The word, [1, G2970 from G2749] komos, refers to a nocturnal and riotous procession of half drunken and frolicsome fellows who after supper parade through the streets with torches and music in honor of Bacchus or some other deity, and sing and play before houses of male and female friends; hence used generally to describe feasts and drinking parties that are protracted late into the night and indulge in revelry.) By being fully [1, G1746] clothed in Christ makes it impossible for the flesh to even imagine to find any further expression or fulfillment in lust. Jesus is LORD of your life. ( [1, G1746 from G1722 and G1416] enduo, fully immersed in the consciousness of the Christ-life, as defining you.)

The LORD willing we shall pick back up next time with chapter 14 with the principle of conscience.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 13, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

By all rights this chapter should have continued as part of the end of chapter 12, as a true Saint follows and abides by the laws of the nation within which they fined themselves living.

Romans 13:1-7 " Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour." (KJV)

Romans 13:1-7 "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed." (ESV)

Romans 13:1-7 "Submit to the authorities with your whole heart. Any authority only has its relevance in GOD. GOD is a GOD of order. To rebel against a GOD ordained structure of authority is a criminal offense. Rulers are there to encourage good behavior and frighten off any evil intention. They represent GOD's desire to protect you and to do you good. The sword they carry is not for decoration; they know how to use it against evil. Do not let fear of punishment be your motivation, rather embrace a good conscience. The taxes you pay is to show the government that you support what they represent on GOD's behalf. Fulfill all your obligations to the government, whatever the tax is that they require of you. Give them their due honor and respect." (The Mirror)

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 12.2, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

Picking the flow up with verse 9 of Romans 12, where one of my study Bibles labels this next few passages "Mark of a True Christian." I do so wish that translators would not stick labels on scripture or people for that matter.

Romans 12:9-13 "Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope[G1680]; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality." (KJV)

Romans 12:9-13 "Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope[G1680], be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality." (ESV)

Romans 12:9-13 "Love without any hidden agenda. Utterly detest evil; be glued to good. Take tender care of one another with fondness and affection; esteem one another's unique value. Do not allow any hesitation to interrupt the rhythm of your zeal; capture the moment; maintain the boiling-point intensity of spirit devotion to the LORD. Delight yourself in the pleasure of [1, G1680]expectation; prayer prevails victoriously under pressure. ([1, G1680] elpis, to anticipate, usually with pleasure.) Purpose with resolve to treat strangers as Saints; pursue and embrace them with fondness as friends on equal terms of fellowship. Make yourself useful in the most practical way possible." (The Mirror)

Romans 12:14-21 "Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." (KJV)

Romans 12:14-21 "Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." To the contrary, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (ESV)

Romans 12:14-21 "Continue to speak well even if someone wants to take advantage of you; bless and do not blame when you feel exploited. Do not merely act the role in someone else's gladness or grief; feel with them in genuine joy and compassion. Esteem everyone with the same respect; no one is more important than the other. Associate yourself rather with the lowly than with the lofty. Do not distance yourself from others in your own mind. ( "Take a real interest in others, ordinary people." ) Two wrongs do not make a right. Never retaliate; instead, cultivate the attitude to [1, G4306]anticipate only beauty and value in every person you encounter. ([1, G4306 from G3539] pronoew, to know in advance.) You have within you what it takes to be everyone's friend, regardless of how they treat you. (Look at Romans 1:16-17. Also Matthew 5:44-45.) Do not bother yourself to get even, dear one. Do not let anger or irritation distract you; [1, G1556] that which we have in common with one another (righteousness) must set the pace. Scripture confirms that the LORD himself is the [1, G1557,vindication, wrath, from G1556] revealer of righteousness. ([1, G1556, from G1558 to carry justice] ekdikeo, is from ek, a preposition denoting origin, and dikeo, two parties finding likeness in one another. That which originates in righteousness sets the pace in every relationship.) "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink." These acts of kindness will certainly rid your enemy of the dross in his mind and win him as a friend. (A refiner would melt metal in a crucible and intensify the process by heaping coals of fire on it [Proverbs 25:21-22]. This is good strategy; be sensitive to the needs of your enemies. GOD sees gold in every person. Hostility cannot hide our true value. He won us while we were hostile towards him [Look at Romans 5:8 and 10]. His kindness led us to repentance [Romans 2:4].) Do not let evil be an excuse for you to feel defeated, rather seize the opportunity to turn the situation into a victory for good." (The Mirror)

Now chapter 12 does end at verse 21 but does carry over into chapter 13 to verse7 but I will cut it shrt just here.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 12.1, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

Jumping right in at verse 3 of Romans 12 with our study of scripture, from the view point of GOD's redeemed man, who lives in His divine salvation of innocence, again. By the gift of GOD's grace

Romans 12:3-8 "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness." (KJV)

Romans 12:3-8 "For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; If service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; The one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness." (ESV)

Romans 12:3-8 "His grace gift inspires me to say to you that your thinking must be consistent with everything that is within you according to the measure of GOD's faith that GOD has appointed to every individual. [1] Let the revelation of redemption shape your thoughts. (The word [1, G5426] sophroneo means a saved mind.) The parallel is clear. There are many different members in one body, yet not one competes with the other in function. Instead every individual member co-compliments the other. In Christ, the many individuals are all part of the same body and members of one another. Our gifts may differ in function, but his grace is the same. If it is your turn to prophesy, let faith and not a title be your inspiration. The same goes for every aspect of ministry, whether it be serving or to give instruction, or to just be there [1, G3870]alongside someone to remind them of their true identity; always let faith set the pace. You are [3, G573] intertwined with your [2, G3330] gift, wrapped up in the same parcel. Lead with passion; minister with mercy cheerfully. ([1, G3870] parakaleo, alongside, closest possible proximity of nearness; [2, G3330] metadidomi [look at Romans 1:11], and [3, G573] haplous are from[G1] ha , a particle of union and [G4120] pleko , to plait, braid or weave together. You cannot distance yourself from your giving! What GOD now has in us is gift wrapped to the world [Ephesians 4:11].)

Now until next time I wish the LORD's speed and grace for you and yours.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 11.4, 12, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

We are now in the last short portion of Romans 11 beginning with verse 33 and with it we fine another error of scripture in word use and abuse, accomplished by none other than the translators. And by the way this will also take us into chapter 12 at the same time, with a short prayer of greatest humility that should be our daily opening prayer, as a Saint of GOD.

Romans 11:33-12:2 "O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable [G419] are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! [Isaiah 40:13-14] "For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?" [Job 35:7, 41:11] "Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?" For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. I beseech[G3870] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present[G3936] your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (KJV)

Romans 11:33-12:2 "Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable [G419] are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! [Isaiah 40:13-14] "For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?" [Job 35:7, 41:11] "Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?" For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. I appeal[G3870] to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present[G3936] your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." (ESV)

Romans 11:33-12:2 "Oh, how amazing is the depth of the wealth of GOD's wisdom and knowledge. The understanding [G419] of his judgments can only be sourced in a conversation that originates from above; also his ways are only accessible in the footprint of his thoughts. (The word [G419] ἀνεξερεύνητος, anexereunētos, is from [G1] ana, upwards and [G1830] exereunaō, to search out [1Peter 1:10] is from [G1537] ek, the source and ichnos, a footprint. Sadly, both of these words have been wrongly translated to suggest that it is imposible to explain GOD's decisions or to understand his ways! Sounds like Isaiah 55:8-9 until we get to verse 10 comes to the rescue! "But! Just as the rain and the snow come down from heaven [from above] and saturate the soil, SO shall my Word be! The Incarnation is the key to understanding GOD's thoughts and his ways!) Who inspired his thoughts? Who sat in council with him? Is GOD indebted to anyone? Everything originates in him; finds both its authentic expression and ultimate conclusion in him. His opinion rules the ages. We cannot but agree with our yes and awe. Amen. Live consistent with [1, G3870] who you really are, inspired by the loving kindness of GOD. My [2, G80] brothers, the most practical expression of worth-ship is to [3, G3936] make your bodies available to him as a living sacrifice; this pleases him more than any [old dead] religious routine. He desires to find visible, individual expression in your person. (The word, [1, G3870] parakaleo, comes from [G3844] para, a preposition indicating close proximity, a thing proceeding from a sphere of influence, with a suggestion of union of place of residence, to have sprung from its author and giver, originating from, denoting the point from which an action originates, intimate connection; and kaleo, meaning to identify by name, to surname. Jesus introduced the Holy Spirit in the same capacity:[G3875] parakletos, meaning close companion, kinsman [John 14:16]. The word, [2, G80] adelpos, comes from [G1] a, as a connective particle, and[G80] delphos, meaning womb. Commonly translated as brother. [Look at Hebrews 2:11] The word, [3, G3936, from G3488 and G2476] paristemi , means to exhibit,[H1] to present. In the contect of the NT, the sacrificial system no longer involves dead animals, but living people. "You died in his death and are now alive to GOD" [Romans 6:11]) Do not allow [1 G165] current religious tradition to mold you into its pattern of reasoning. Like an inspired artist, give attention to the detail of GOD's desire to find expression in you. Become acquainted with perfection. To [2, G2101] accommodate yourself to the delight and good pleasure of him will transform your thoughts afresh from within. (The word,[G165 is the same as G104, meaning duration] aion, is traditionally translated as "do not be conformed to this world." Actually aion points to a period of time of specific influence. In the [2, G2101 from G2195 and G701] euarestos , comes from[G2195] eu, praiseworthy, well done[G701] + arestos , meaning to accommodate one's self to the opinion, desires, and interests of others.) (The Mirror)

Until our next appointment in time, the LORD willing we shall pick things up at verse 3.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 11.3, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

We begin this post with a familiar passage as we studied it back when we were looking into the secrets and mysteries of GOD. This one has a heading of "the mystery of Israel's salvation." But lets find out for sure what it is all about, as I have come to have my own doubts. beginning with verse 25 of Romans 11, where we fine the following.

Romans 11:25-32 "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written [by Isaiah in 59:20-21, and Jeremiah in 31:33-34 and then again by Isaiah in 27:9], "'There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.'" As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling[G2821 from G2564] of God are without repentance. For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all." (KJV)

Romans 11:25-32 "Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written [by Isaiah in 59:20-21, and Jeremiah in 31:33-34 and then again by Isaiah in 27:9], "'The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob'"; "'and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.'" As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. For the gifts and the calling[G2821, from G2564] of God are irrevocable. For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy. For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all." (ESV)

Romans 11:25-32 "Do not be ignorant then of the mystery of their temporary exclusion; their (self imposed) blindness opened your eyes to the fullness of GOD's plan for the whole world. Once the nations realize the full extent of their inclusion, then all Israel shall also be saved. Just as it is written prophetically, "'There shall come a Deliverer out of Zion; he shall turn ungodliness away from Jacob. For this is my covenant with them that I shall take away their sins.'" ( "'And as a Savior he will come to Zion, turning away sin from Jaboc, says the LORD.'" [in Isaiah 59:20] "'And as for me, this is my agreement with them, says the LORD: my spirit which is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouth of your children, or from the mouth of your children's children, says the LORD, from now and for the ages to come'" [by Isaiah in 59:21 ]) In your estimation they appear to be enemies of the gospel, but their father's love for them has not changed. he knows their original worth. For GOD's grace gifts and his persuasion[G2564] of humanity's original identity are irrevocable. ([G2564 is the base of G2821] kaleo - to surname, to identify by name.) In days gone by, you did not believe GOD; yet in a sense Israel's unbelief opened the door for you to realize GOD's mercy. Now you are returning the favor as it were; your testimony of his mercy extends an opportunity to them to turn from their unbelief and embrace mercy. In GOD's calculation the mass of humanity is trapped in unbelief. This qualifies all humanity for his mercy." (The Mirror)

The LORD willing we shall finish chapter 11 with our next visit, but as we shall see it does not end at verse 36 but continues no.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 11.2, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

To begin this post I will again repeat the last line of the last post. I do this because of the importance of keeping scriptures in order and alignment of thought. That means picking things back up with verse 10 of Romans 11, where we find this as stated in the Mirror Study Bible. Then we shall look at a parable of the tree and its branches of John 15:1-7 as explained to Paul by the LORD while he sat under His teaching while Paul was in the wilderness.

Romans 11:10 "This is the penalty of their disbelief; eyes that constantly fail to focus on the fact that Christ took their burdens and now their backs are still bending to the point of breaking under the strain of their own burdens."

Romans 11:11-16 "I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches." (KJV)

Romans 11:11-16 "So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous. Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean! Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry in order somehow to make my fellow Jews jealous, and thus save some of them. For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead? If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches." (ESV)

Romans 11:11-16 "Does this mean that the Jews are beyond redemption? is their stumbling permanent? No! May it never be too late for them. Their failure emphasized the inclusion of the Gentile nations. May it only prove to be their wake-up call. If their stumbling enriches the rest of the worlds nations and their lack empowers the Gentiles, how much more significant will their realizing their completeness be? In my capacity as a representative of the Good News to the Gentiles, I will speak in such a way that the clarity of my conclusion will provoke my own flesh-and-blood family to jealousy. I know that my words will rescue many of them. The Gentile nations realized their inclusion in Christ in a sense at the expense of the Jews; to now also embrace the Jews in the welcome of GOD is to raise them from the dead. The seed sets the pace; it sanctifies what the sprouts form it. Seed produces after its kind. If the invisible root is holy so are the visible branches." (The Mirror)

Romans 11:17-24 "And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? (KJV)

Romans 11:17-24 "But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. Then you will say, "Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in." That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree." (ESV)

Romans 11:17-24 "And if some of the original branches were broken off, and you Gentiles like a wild olive tree were to be grafted in to partake of the same nourishing fatness of the roots, then these is no cause for boasting against the ignorance of the Jews because you are now suddenly better off than they are. Remember, the roots sustain the branches, and not the other way around! There is no point in thinking that in order to accommodate you, GOD had to first break off the Jewish branches. For their unbelief was their loss; your faith is your gain. GOD could do them no favors just because they were the natural branches; neither does GOD now owe you any special privileges. Both GOD's goodness as well as his decisiveness are based on his integrity; unbelief is not tolerated, not in them, neither will it be tolerated in you. His favor is not to be taken for granted; instead, continue to embrace and appreciate his goodness with gratitude. The moment Israel turns from their unbelief, GOD is ready to immediately graft them back into the tree. You were cut out of the unfruitful olive tree and were grafted into the stock of the original tree. How much more will these natural branches be grafted again into their original identity." (The Mirror)

There we got through this thought without having to look at word meanings for true and correctness of understanding. In our next post the LORD willing, we shall delve into the mystery of Israel's salvation.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 11.1, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

Picking backup with the last verse of our last post, at verse 6 of now Romans 11. And this from the "Mirror Study Bible," with slight paraphrasing by me. Before heading headlong into the passages of contention for may of a Hebrew heritage. After a quick look at grace I shall head into our text beginning at verse 7, of Paul argument for grace's rule over that of Jewish tradition of Mosaic Law, which only brings condemnation to all and most of all No Salvation let alone redemption.

Romans 11:6 "Grace cannot suggest debt or obligation at the same time. This word "grace" can only what it says. The same argument goes for humanity's good works, of good intentions; if salvation or any advantage for that matter is to be obtained according to prescribed regulations of conduct, then that's it! For No amount of grace can change the rules! Grace means "GRACE" and work's means works, no argument remains." [For there are only four meanings spoken of within the text of scripture two in the OT (H2580 and H8467) and two in the NT (G5485 and G2143) but the ones both used most speak (H2580 and G5485) of divine influence on the heart of humanity as a heart full of cheer and gratitude, joyful liberty.]

Romans 11:7-10 "What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded (According as it is written [in Deuteronomy 29:4 and Isaiah 29:10], "God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day." And David saith [in Psalm 69:22-23], "Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway." (KJV)

Romans 11:7-10 What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened, as it is written[in Deuteronomy 29:4 and Isaiah 29:10], "God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day." And David says [in Psalm 69:22-23], "Let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them; let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see, and bend their backs forever." (ESV)

Romans 11:7-10 "The very thing Israel sought to obtain through their diligent labor they failed to get; yet those who embrace grace as GOD's original intent hit the bull's eye every time, leaving the rest groping around in the dark (darkness of religions and political blindness) like blindfolded archers. (eklego: the original reasoning, logic, word. ) Isaiah said that GOD has given them a spirit of slumber, causing their eyes and ears not to function (properly). This drowsiness seems to prevail even to this day. (Unbelief and religious ritual are blindfolds. "And the LORD said, 'this people draw near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips but remain removed in their hearts as their hearts and minds are far from Me, and their fear and reverence for Me are a commandment of men that is learned by repetition....'" [Isaiah 29:10, 13; paraphrased]) David sees how the very table of blessing has become a stumbling block to them through their ignorance. The table of the LORD is the prophetic celebration of the sacrificed Lamb; where GOD himself provides redemption according to the promise; yet therein they were trapped and snared and they stumbled by their own unbelief (unwilling to accept what was theirs by promise). Now their only reward is the table they set for themselves. ( [Look at Psalm 69]. From the Commentary by John Gill: "....the table may be called an altar." 'You put unclean bread on My altar. And you say, "How have we made it unclean?" By your saying, the table of the LORD is of no value [in Malachi 1:7].
The sacrifices offered up upon "the table;" their meat offerings and drink offerings, and all others, likewise the laws concerning the differences of meats and indeed the whole ceremonial law which lay in meats and drinks and such like things; now the Jews are placing their justifying righteousness before GOD, in the observance of these rites and ceremonies, and imagining that by these sacrifices their sins are really expiated and atoned for; they neglected and submitted not to the righteousness of Christ, but went about to establish their own so that which should have led them to Christ became a handwriting or ordinances against them, and rendered Christ of no effect or value to them. Moreover, the sacred writings, which are full of spiritual food and divine refreshment, the prophecies of the OT which clearly pointed out Christ, are not understood but misapplied by them, and proved a trap, a snare, and a stumbling block to them" ) This is the penalty of their unbelief; eyes that constantly fail to focus on the fact that Christ (their promised Messiah, Deuteronomy 18:18-19 of 15-22) took their burdens and now their backs are still bending to the point of breaking under the strain of their own burdens." (The Mirror)

Now until we meet again, the LORD willing I will leave it with you.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 10.3, 11, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

In this posting we shall look at Israel yet again as the prototype of humanity's lost state as that is exactly where we were before the day of Jesus as GOD's Christ, or messenger of peace and restored unification rose again from humanity's place of judgment. Causing that which is a judgment, that lias ahead to be against those who willfully refuse to accept the redemption leading to salvation, of that which is theirs in Christ. This one will run into chapter 11 of Romans, I know this because I looked ahead just a moment ago.

Romans 10:18-11:6 "But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.[Psalm 19:4] But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith [in Deuteronomy 32:21], "'I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.'" But Esaias is very bold, and saith [in Isaiah 65:1], "I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. But to Israel he saith [in 65:2], "'All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.'" I say then, hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew [G4267]. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying [in 1Kings 19:10 and 14] "LORD, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life." But what saith the answer of God unto him? [in 1Kings 19:18] "'I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.'" (look at 2Corinthians 6:11-7:4) Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work." (KJV)

Romans 10:18-11:6 "But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for [Psalm 19:4] "Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world." But I ask, did Israel not understand? First Moses says [in Deuteronomy 32:21], "I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; with a foolish nation I will make you angry." Then Isaiah is so bold as to say [in Isaiah 65:1], "'I have been found by those who did not seek me; I have shown myself to those who did not ask for me.'" But of Israel he says [in 65:2], "All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people." I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew[G4267]. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? [in 1Kings 19:10 and 14] "LORD, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life." But what is God's reply to him?[in 1Kings 19:18] "'I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.'" (look at 2Corinthians 6:11-7:4) So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace. But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace." (ESV)

Romans 10:18-11:6 "Has GOD not given humanity a fair chance to hear? Psalm 19:4 says, "His words touch the entire world like the rays of the sun; nothing is hid from its heat; yes, truly their resonance resounds in all the earth, and their voice unto the ends of the earth." I cannot understand how Israel could be so blind as to miss the Messiah in their midst. First it was Moses who predicted that GOD would provoke them to jealously with a mass of people who are the nobodies in their estimation; a seemingly senseless bunch of people will steal the show to the disgust of Israel. (The LORD saw and He said "'They have stirred me to jealousy with what is no god; they have provoked me with their idols. So I will stir them to jealousy with those who are no people; I will provoke them with a foolish nation.'" [in Deuteronomy 32:21 of 19-21 the RSV]) Then Isaiah in no uncertain terms hears GOD say, "'I was stumbled upon by them who did not even bother to seek me, I became obvious to a people who did not pursue Me [in Isaiah 65:1].'" "'Yet My hands were continually hovering over Israel in broad daylight beckoning them, while their [1, G544] unbelief and negative and [2, G483] contradictory conversation caused them to blatantly ignore Me [in Isaiah 65:2].'" (The word, [1, G544, from G545] apetheo, (apathy) means refusal to believe; and [2, G483, from G473 and G3004] antilego, means contradictory conversation, from G473 meaning anti.) I want to make it clear that I am not saying that GOD rejected israel, my onw life bears witness to that, and I am as Jewish as you can get; you can trace me back to Benjamin and Abraham. GOD did not push his people aside; his reference is his knowledge of them before they rejected him. Scripture accounts where GOD has abundant reason to abandon Israel. Elijah hits out against them and lists their sins to persuade GOD to utterly cast them off [G4267]. ([G4267] proginosko - to know in advance, foreknew.) "LORD, they butchered your Prophets, and undermined your provision through the sacrificial altar; I am the only one left and scared to death." (1Kings 19:14) Yet GOD answers him in a completely different tone, "'You are counting wrong, you are not alone; I have seven times a thousand on reserve who have not bowed the knee to Baal. They have not exchanged Me for a foreign owner.'" (Seven times a thousand refers to an innumerable amount and not to an exact 7000 people. The Hebrew word "Baal" means owner, husband or master. [1Kings 19:18]) Thus even in today's context, GOD's original word of grace has preserved a remnant of much larger proportion than what we can number. [look at 2Corinthians 6:11-7:4](The word, ekloge, is from ek, a preposition denoting source or origin, +logos, a word or logic, thus translated as the "original word." Tradition this is translated as "election." ) Grace cannot suggest debt or obligation at the same time. The word grace can only mean what it says. The same argument goes for humanity's good works; if salvation or any advantage for that matter is to be obtained according to prescribed regulations of conduct, then that's it! No amount of grace can change the rules! Grace means grace and work means work." (The Mirror)

This has been an interesting mine field to go through but go through we must. There remains more ahead and the LORD willing we shall do His best to get us through what lies ahead.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 10.2, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

Has anyone ever wondered why the risen Lord today is not capitalized to show the respect of His divine person as in the OT days. Because he is the same person now as He was back then, LORD of all. We also found out that the translators used the wrong word in their translation of Isaiah 26:18 and 49:23. Mainly because of the closeness of pronunciation of two words, they being cush and bush in the Hebrew dialect. One meaning haste and the other meaning ashamed. Okay lets move on into verse 13 again before undertaking verse 14 and 15.

Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (KJV)

Romans 10:13 For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (ESV)

My version: Romans 10:13 For "everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved."

Romans 10:14-15 "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written (Isaiah 52:7), "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" (KJV)

Romans 10:14-15 "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written (by Isaiah in 52:7), "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"(ESV)

Romans 10:14-15 "How is it possible to convince people of [1, G1941]their identity in him while they do not believe that he represents them? How will they believe if they remain ignorant about who they really are? How will they understand if the Good News of their inclusion is not announced? (The word,[G1941] epikaleomai, traditionally is translated as "to call upon," and is from[G2564 the base akin to G2753] kaleo, which literary means to surname, or to identify by name, from the akin base[G2753] of, to command. This is also the stem root [G1577] of Ekklesia, with[G1537] ek being a preposition that denotes origin, and[G2564] kaleo. In the context of Matthew 16 where Jesus introduces the word, he reveals that the son of man is indeed the son of GOD, "'I say to you Simon, son of Jonah, you are Petros [Rock] and upon this petros [G4073, petra] I will build my[G1577] Ekklesia!'" Look also at Romans 9:33.) What gives someone the urgency to declare these things? It is recorded in the prophetic scriptures [Isaiah 52:7], "How lovely on the mountains (where the watchmen were stationed to witness the outcome of a war) are the feet of them leaping with the exciting news of victory. Because of their eyewitness encounter they are qualified to run with the Gospel of peace and announce the consequent glad tidings that will benefit everyone." (The Mirror)

Romans 10:16-17 "But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias [in 53:1] saith, "LORD, who hath believed our report?" So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (KJV)

Romans 10:16-17 "But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah [in 53:1] says, "LORD, who has believed what he has heard from us?" So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." (ESV)

Romans 10:16-17 "It is hard to imagine that there can yet be a people who struggle to hear and understand the Good News. Isaiah said [in 53:1], "LORD, who has believed our report?" It is clear then that faith's [1, G1537] source is found in the content of the message heard; the message is Christ! (We are GOD's audience; Jesus is GOD's language! The Greek, [1, G1537] ek , is a preposition that denotes source or origin; thus, faith comes out of the Word that reveals Christ. The word "Christ" appears in the best manuscripts. Herein lies the secret of the power of our Gospel; there is no good news in it until the righteousness of GOD is revealed! [Look at Romans 1:17] The good news is the fact that the cross of Christ was our success. GOD rescued our life the original design [of Genesis 1:26-27, and 2:7]; He redeemed our innocence. Humanity would never again be judged righteous or unrighteous by their own ability to obey moral laws! It is not about what someone must or must not do but what Jesus has done! GOD now persuades everyone to believe what he knows to be true about themselves. [It is from faith to Faith.] The Prophets wrote in advance about this fact and truth, that GOD believes that righteousness unveils the life that He always had in mind for us. "Righteousness by His (GOD's) Faith, now defines our life." [Habakkuk 2:4].) (The Mirror)

The LORD willing we shall close chapter 10 in our next visit.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 10.1, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

We are now heading into an area that in my study Bibles is headed by "The Message of Faith for All." This when understood and accepted should change the landscape for all the world, but sadly it has not done so for almost 2000 years now. And why is that, because humanity for the most part remains in darkness and unbelief, as in the beginning of times. This entire section is loaded with cross-referenced passages of scripture backing up scripture, so please bear with me while we wade through some of them, as they are all very important to get the understanding of GOD's revelation.

Romans 10:5-13 "For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the Law, that the man which doeth those things shall live by them[Leviticus 18:5]. But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise (in Deuteronomy 30:11-14, Proverbs 30:4; Romans 9:30), "Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) [Matthew 27:51-54; Romans 4:25, Hebrews 13:20, 1Peter 3:18, 22, Revelation 1:18] But what saith it? (in Deuteronomy 30:14) The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess[G3670] with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession[G3670] is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith (in Isaiah 28:16, 49:23, Jeremiah 17:7; 1Peter 2:26), Whosoever believeth on him shall[H954] not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. (in Joel 2:32 we have) For "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (KJV)

Romans 10:5-13 "For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the Law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them[Leviticus 18:5]. But the righteousness based on faith says(in Deuteronomy 30:11-14, Proverbs 30:4; Romans 9:30), "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down) "or 'Who will descend into the abyss?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). [Matthew 27:51-54; Romans 4:25, Hebrews 13:20, 1Peter 3:18, 22, Revelation 1:18] But what does it say?(in Deuteronomy 30:14) "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses[G3670] and is saved. For the Scripture says (in Isaiah 28:16, 49:23, Jeremiah 17:7; 1Peter 2:26), "Everyone who believes in him will not[H954] be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. (in Joel 2:32 we have) For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (ESV)

Romans 10:5-13 "Moses is the voice of the Law; he says that a person's life is only justified in their doing what the Law requires [in Leviticus 18:5; but in Galatians 3:12 we have this] But faith finds its voice in something much closer to a person than their most disciplined effort to obey the Law. Faith understands that Christ is no longer a distant promise; neither is he reduced to a mere historic hero. He is humanity's righteousness Now! Christ is no longer hidden somewhere in the realm of heaven as a future hope. For the Jews to continue to ask GOD to send the Messiah is a waste of time! That is not the language of faith. Faith knows that their Messiah is not roaming somewhere in the region of the dead [Matthew 27:51-54; Romans 4:25, Hebrews 13:20, 1Peter 3:18, 22, Revelation 1:18]. "Who will descend into the abyss to bring Christ back from the dead," is not the language of faith. (Those who deny the resurrection of Christ would wish to send someone to go there and confirm their doubts, and bring back final proof that Jesus was not their Messiah. Faith announces a righteousness that reveals that humanity has indeed been co-raised with Christ; the testimony of the risen Christ is confirmed in our hearts and by our lives, His Light in every believer.) Faith-righteousness announces that every definition of distance in time, space, or hostility has been cancelled. Faith says, "The Word is near you. It is as close to you as your voice and the conviction of your heart." We publicly announce this message (because we are convinced that it belongs to everyone.) Now your salvation is realized! Your own [1, G3670]words echo GOD's voice. The unveiling of the Masterful act of Jesus forms the words in your mouth, inspired by the conviction in your heart that GOD indeed raised him from the dead. (In this resurrection, GOD co-raised us [Hebrews 6:2]. His resurrection declares our innocence [Romans 4:25]. Salvation is not reduced to a recipe or a "sinners prayer" formula; it is the spontaneous inevitable conversation of a persuaded heart! To confess, [1, G3670 from G3674 and G3004] homologeo, homo, the same thing +logeo, to say.) Heart-faith confirms the fact of humanity's righteousness (innocence) and ignites the kind of conversation with salvation. (He restored us to blameless innocence! It is impossible not to boldly announce news of such global consequence [Isaiah 40:9]) Scripture declares that whosoever believes in Christ (to be the fulfillment of the Promise of GOD to redeem humanity) will [1, H954]not be ashamed ([2; H2363]hesitate) to announce it. ([look at Isaiah 28:16] These two Hebrew words, [2; H2363] cush, to make haste, and [Isaiah 49:23] [1; H954] bush, to be ashamed, look very similar amd were obviously confused in some translations----the Greek from Hebrew translation, the Septuagint, was the Scriptures of Paul's use as he was most familiar with and there the word was translated from the word [1; H954] bush.) Nothing distinguishes the Jew from the Greek when it comes to the generosity of GOD. He responds with equal benevolence to everyone who sees themselves identified in him (they realize that GOD defines them and not their cultural identity). salvation is to understand that every person's [1, G1941] true identity is revealed in Christ. (Whosoever shall [1, G1941 from G1909 and G2564]call upon the Name of the LORD shall be saved; [1] epikaleomai, to entitle; to identify by name, is to be surname.) (The Mirror)

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 9.5, 10, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

Here we are where Israel in unbelief denies its own Promised Messiah, because its religious leadership did not know the season nor the year of his visitation. For He was only to come for a short period in the figure of Moses. So maybe just maybe we shall see why and at the same time find out how to maintain a constant walk of faith which is our victory. The very thing that Israel never accomplished.

Romans 9:30-10:4 "What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; As it is written (by Isaiah in 8:14-15, 28:16, 8:14), "'Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.'" Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness (Isaiah 51:1), have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." (KJV)

Romans 9:30-10:4 "What shall we say, then? That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith;  but that Israel who pursued a law that would lead to righteousness did not succeed in reaching that law. Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone, as it is written (by Isaiah in 8:14-15, 28:16, 8:14), "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame." Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own (Isaiah 51:1), they did not submit to God's righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes." (ESV)

Romans 9:30-10:4 "This conclusion of the prophetic reference pointed towards the rock as the spirit identity of human life. In Messiah, GOD has placed his testimony of humanity's identity in front of [our] their eyes, in Zion, the center of their religious focus, yet, blinded by their own efforts of their own eyes efforts to justify themselves, they tripped over him. But those who recognize him by faith, as the Rock from which they were hewn, are freed from the shame of their sense of failure and inferiority. (Look at Deuteronomy 32:18, "you have forgotten the Rock that birthed you....", and in Isaiah 51:1, "Look to the Rock from which you were hewned." It is only in him that humanity will discover what they are looking for. "Who is the son of man?" Humanity's physical identity is defined by their spiritual  origin, (Genesis 1:26-27), the image and likeness of GOD, "I say you are Petros; you are Mr. Rock, a chip of the old block! [Look at Matthew 16:13-19]. Humanity's origin and true identity is preserved and recorded again in the Rock of ages. The term, "rock" in those days represented what we call the "hard drive" in a computer and its language; the place and evidence of life. Look at 1Peter 2:6.) GOD knows how my heart aches with deep and prayerful longing for israel to realize their salvation. I have been there myself. I know their zeal and devotion; their problem is not their passion; but their ignorance. They are tirelessly busy with their own efforts to justify themselves while blatantly ignoring the fact that GOD already justified them in Christ. Christ is the conclusion of the Law, everything the Law required of humanity was fulfilled in him; he thusly represents the righteousness of the human race, based upon faith (and not personal performance). (The Mirror)

Again I am inclined to go further but the LORD willing this I shall do in our next visit. When we pickup the message of Salvation.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 9.4, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

Well now we know, but, do we understand that those people of the world were never ever discarded by GOD? As the religious and even those of Israel wrongly supposed eons ago. Lets take another look at verses 25-26 of Romans 9 before we move on. Then we shall look at Israel's unbelief as the close of this chapter, or is it?

Romans 9:25-26 "As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved. And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God [Hosea 1:9-10." (KJV)

Romans 9:25-26 "As indeed he says in Hosea, "Those who were not my people I will call 'my people,' and her who was not beloved I will call 'beloved.'" And in the very place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' there they will be called 'sons of the living God [Hosea 1:9-10].'" (ESV)

Romans 9:25-26 "Hosea voiced the heart of GOD when he said, "I will call a people without identity, my people, and her who unloved, my Darling.'" He prophesied that the very same people who were told that they are not God's people, 'will be told that they are indeed the children of the living GOD [Hosea 1:9-10].'" (The Mirror)

Romans 9:27-29 "Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved (in Isaiah 10:20-23): For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness (Isaiah 28:22, 30:12-14, Daniel 9:26-27) because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth. And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha (Isaiah 1:9, 6:13, 13:19; Jeremiah 49:18, 50:40)." (KJV)

Romans 9:27-29 "And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel (in Isaiah 10:20-23): "Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved, (in Isaiah 28:22, 30:12-14, Daniel 9:26-27) for the Lord will carry out his sentence upon the earth fully and without delay."  And as Isaiah predicted (in Isaiah 1:9, 6:13, 13:19; Jeremiah 49:18, 50:40), "If the Lord of hosts had not left us offspring, we would have been like Sodom and become like Gomorrah." (ESV)

Romans 9:27-29 "Isaiah weeps for Israel: "You might feel lost in the crowd, because your numbers equal the grains of the sand of the sea, but GOD does not abandon the individual."(in Isaiah 10:20-23) Numbers do not distract GOD's attention from the value of the one. ( "Isaiah maintained this same emphasis: If each grain of sand on the seashore were numbered and the sum labelled 'chosen of GOD,' They'd be numbers still, not names; salvation comes by individual realization. GOD doesn't just count us; he calls us by name. Arithmetic is not his focus."  ---The Message Bible) For his word will perfect his righteousness without delay; his word is poetry upon the earth. ( John 1:1, 14; Romans 1:16-17) The LORD of the [1] multitudes preserved for us a Seed, to rescue us from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. (From (Isaiah 1:9) the Hebrew, H6635, tsâbâ', (tsebâ'âh), a mass of people. [Look at Romans 3:10] In Genesis 18, Abraham intercedes for Sodom and Gomorrah, "If there perhaps are 50 righteous people, will you save the city on their behalf?" He continues to negotiate with GOD, until he's down to "perhaps ten?" "....there was none righteous, no not one... ." The remnant represents the one Seed that would rescue the mass of humanity! In Romans 5:17, "one man's obedience and act of righteousness, surpasses the effect of a multitude of sins!" If spiritual (deadness) death saw the gap in one sin, and grabbed the opportunity to dominate humanity in Adam, how much more may we now seize the advantage to reign in righteousness in this life through that one act of Christ, who declared us innocent by his grace. Grace is superior in authority to the transgression! The single grain of wheat did not abide alone! [Look at John 12:24] Romans 5:18-19 states, "The conclusion is clear: it took just one offense to condemn humanity; one act of righteousness declares the same humanity innocent! The disobedience of the one exhibits humanity as sinners; the obedience of another exhibits humanity as righteous!") (The Mirror)

Upon reading over the next few passages I see that the last four verses are not the end of Paul's thought, so the LORD willing we shall pick this back up next time.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 9.3, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

In the last study and the last line in that study we saw that GOD shows mercy to who He alone chooses to do so. For that is just how many religious men and women have interpreted this line, but I believe that the Mirror is most accurate. That said we shall look at the rest of the story of redemption and justification in the righteousness that is of GOD, there after. The other thing is that there are a load of Scripture quotes in these passages. For it reads as flows in both the KJV and ESV and then in the Mirror as this:
Romans 9:18 "Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth."(KJV)
Rom 9:18 "So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills."(ESV) Rom 9:18 "The same act of mercy that he willingly bestows on everyone, may bless the one and harden the heart of the other." (The Mirror)

Romans 9:19-26 "Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? (Job 23:13-14; Daniel 4:35) Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? (Job 33:13; Isaiah 29:16, 45:9-11) Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? (Jeremiah 18:3-6) What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction (Proverbs 16:4): And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? (Genesis 49:10, Psalm 22:27) As he saith also in Osee (in Hosea 2:23), "'I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.'" (in Hosea 1:10) "And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, 'Ye are not my people;' there shall they be called 'the children of the living God (Hosea 1:9-10; Isaiah 43:6).'" (KJV)

Romans 9:19-26 "You will say to me then, "Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?"(Job 23:13-14; Daniel 4:35) But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, "Why have you made me like this?"(Job 33:13; Isaiah 29:16, 45:9-11) Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? (Jeremiah 18:3-6) What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction (Proverbs 16:4), in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory— even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles? (Genesis 49:10, Psalm 22:27) As indeed he says in Hosea (in Hosea 2:23), "Those who were not my people I will call 'my people,' and her who was not beloved I will call 'beloved.'" (in Hosea 1:10) "And in the very place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' there they will be called 'sons of the living God (Hosea 1:9-10; Isaiah 43:6).'" (ESV)

Romans 9:19-26 "This just doesn't sound reasonable at all! What gives GOD the right then to still blame anyone? Who can resist his will? [Job 23:13-14; Daniel 4:35] Who can dispute with GOD? [Job 33:13; Isaiah 29:16, 45:9-11] The mold dictates the shape.[Jeremiah 18:3-6] (There is only one true mold of humanity's design: the image and likeness of GOD!) The Potter sets the pace; same Potter, same clay; one vessel understands its value and another not; one realizes that it is priceless, the other seems worthless to itself. [Proverbs 16:4; Jeremiah 18:3-6] Their sense of worthlessness has labelled them for destruction, yet GOD's power and passion prevails in patient endurance. (GOD is not schizophrenic, having to balance out a seemingly unstable character by creating a nice guy and a bad guy: one for blessing and one for wrath! He cannot be both the Author of Light and darkness; there is in him no shadow of compromise or change, no inconsistency or distortion whatsoever! [James 1:17-18]. Humanity deceive themselves when their knowledge of their true identity becomes blurred by the flesh. "They go away and immediately forget what manner of person they are [Luke 9:55, James 1:24]."
Paul's noble birth carried no further significance when he discovered his spiritual identity revealed in Christ. The recorded history of Israel [humanity] prepares the prophetic stage of GOD's dealing with global humanity. Faith and not the flesh would be the medium of GOD's dealing with man. Flesh reduces man to the senses and the soul realm, while faith's substance reveals humanity's true spirit identity. Truth ignites faith! His patience's is shown in Pharaoh: "So get your livestock under roof, everything exposed in the open fields, people and animals, will die when the hail comes down." All of Pharaoh's servants who had respect for GOD's word got their workers and animals under cover as fast as they could, but those who didn't take GOD's word seriously left their workers and animals out in the field [Exodus 9:19-21]. "For good news came to us just as to them; but the message which they heard did not benefit them, because it did not meet with faith in the hearers." [Hebrews 4:2]) He has set the stage to exhibit the wealth of his mercy upon the vessels of value. he desires to confirm in them his original intent.(His glory[H6286; G1391, from G1380], doxa, opinion, intent.) being Jewish or Gentile no longer defines us; GOD's faith defines us. (He "called"[G2564, from G2753] us; kaleo, to identify us by name, to surname us.) Hosea voiced the heart of GOD when he said, "I will call a people without identity, my people, and her who was unloved, my Darling [Hosea 2:23]." (Even Esau whom you said that I hated. [look at verse 13] It was common among the Hebrews to use the terms "love" and "hatred" in this comparative sense, where the former implied strong positive attachment, and the latter, not positive hatred, but merely a less love, or the withholding of the expressions of affection [compare Genesis 29:30-31; Luke 14:26].) He prophesied that the very same people who were told that they are not God's people, will be told that they are indeed the children of the living GOD. [Hosea 1:10]" (The Mirror)

My hope is that you were able to follow all the referenced passages. The LORD willing we shall continue in our next visit, beginning with verse 27.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 9.2, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

Picking up the ball again at verse 14 of Romans 9 where we found the change from purely Israel in Isaac and Jacob to humanity's persuasion from GOD's point of view. This being accomplished by a renewed mindset by the Holy Spirit restored to humanity at the moment of resurrection as the proof of humanity's redemption that had taken place by human (flesh's) co-partnership on the Cross. The very reason and purpose of the LORD God, the living Word of Promise coming as Jesus and putting on human form. Okay, now for the rest of the story from GOD's view point.

Romans 9:14-18 "What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. For he saith to Moses (in Exodus 33:19), "'I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.'" So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh (in Exodus 9:16), "'Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.'" Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth." (KJV)

Romans 9:14-18 "What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! For he says to Moses (in Exodus 33:19), "'I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.'" So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh (in Exodus 9:16), "'For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.'" So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills." (ESV)

Romans 9:14-18 "To say that GOD is unfair, is to miss the point. Moses saw the glory of God's goodness; he saw God's mercy and the kindness of his compassion. ( Even when Israel deserved his absence he promised them his presence. Moses saw the glory and goodness of GOD, while he hid in the cleft of the rock. [Exodus 33:18-19] Throughout Scripture the Rock represents the blue-print of humanity's original identity [ Deuteronomy 32:18, Isaiah 51:1, Matthew 16:15-18] GOD's mercy is not a reward for good behavior; it is not a wreath given to the fastest athlete. GOD employed Pharaoh as a prophetic figure to demonstrate the drama of humanity's salvation from their slavery to an inferior identity. Scripture records GOD's conversation with Pharaoh, (Exodus 9:16) "'But to show you my power working in you, I raised you up so that my Name (revealing humanity's authentic and original identity) might be declared throughout all the earth.'" (Humanity's identity is not in Pharaoh's claim or some political or religious leader's influence, but in their Maker.) The same act of mercy that he willingly bestows on everyone, may bless the one and hardened heart of others." (The Mirror)

I am so tempted to carry on but I am restrained by the Spirit not to. So the LORD willing I will pick this up again next time with verse 19.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 9.1, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

Here we are in Romans chapter 9 and at verse 6 looking into the solicitude for Humanity or put another way GOD's sovereign choice. Because where ever we see Israel we can without doing any harm to the word or scripture say humanity again because these two terms are interchangeable. As we have seen along the way over the years of this blog.

Romans 9:6-13 "Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called[H7121; G2564]. (Genesis 21:12) That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son. (Genesis 18:10) And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one(Genesis 25:21), even by our father Isaac; (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election[G1589] might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.(Genesis 25:23) As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. (Malachi 1:2-3)" (KJV)

Romans 9:6-13 "But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but "Through Isaac shall your offspring be named[H7121; G2564]."(Genesis 21:12) This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring. For this is what the promise said: "About this time next year I will return, and Sarah shall have a son." (Genesis 18:10) And not only so, but also when Rebekah had conceived (Genesis 25:21) children by one man, our forefather Isaac, though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—in order that God's purpose of election[G1589] might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls— she was told, "The older will serve the younger." (Genesis 25:23) As it is written, "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated. (Malachi 1:2-3)" (ESV)

Romans 9:6-13 "It is not as though their unbelief neutralized the Word of GOD in its effect; Israel in no longer restricted to a physical family and geographic location. It is not the natural seed of Abraham that gives them their [1; H7121; G2564] identity, but Isaac, the faith-child of GOD. For GOD said, "Your children's [1]identity is revealed in Isaac." ([Genesis 21:12]; [1; H7121; G2564] qârâ'; kaleo, to surname, or to identify by name. Humanity's original identity was not preserved in the flesh, but in the Promise.) By this GOD clearly indicates that humanity's true spirit identity is revealed in faith and not in the flesh. The Promise is the fuel of faith. (The promise ignites faith. Faith gives substance to what hope sees.) Remember GOD's pledge, "In nine months time, Sarah shall have a son." ([Genesis 18:10]; "according to the time of life, thus nine months; Galatians 4:4, Jesus is the fullness of time; the promise is a Person!) Rebecca and Isaac also conceived (Genesis 25:21), consistent with the promise, to further prove the point of faith versus performance. GOD spoke to Rebecca while the twins were still in the womb. Nothing distinguished them in terms of good looks or performance (Except the fact that the one would be born minutes before the other, which would give him preference according to human tradition). It was recorded to emphasize the principle of [1; G1589] faith-identity as the ultimate value above any preference according to the flesh. (The word often translated as "election" is the word [1; G1589; from G1586, from G1537 and G3004 and G3056] ekloge, and it is from[G1537] ek, meaning origin, source and[G3004] lego is from[G3056] logos, the word, look at John 1:1, 14. Faith nullifies any ground the flesh has to boast of. Romans 3:27) She was told, "the elder shall serve the younger."(Genesis 25:23) We would say that Esua had the raw deal; he was disliked while Jacob was favored. ( And the LORD said to her, "Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples, born of you, shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other; the elder shall serve the younger." [Genesis 25:23]
The two came out of the same mold; yet they represent two types of people: one who understands his true identity by faith and one who seeks to identify himself after the flesh. Again, the Law of performance verses the law of faith is the emphasized in order to prepare the ground for the promise-principle. Humanity's salvation would be by promise and not by performance; ie..it would not be a reward for good behavior. No one will be justified by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; [H4751, from H4781; G4190, from G4192] ra‛ râ‛âh; poneros, "evil," full of hardships, annoyances and labor!) (The Mirror)

The LORD willing we shall continue time with verse 14

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 8.4 & 9, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

The LORD willing we should be able to close this area out with this post. For we are now into the area of Paul's explaining of GOD's Never ending Love or as spoken of in the OT His abiding Love. In the Greek it is Agape love, which is much different than man's loves of phileo or arotica. Now we have I am sure covered this all before but in what detail I am not at all sure, so here goes again.

Romans 8:31-9:5 "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared[G5339] not his own Son, but delivered him up[G3860] for us all, how shall he not with him[G4862] also freely give[G5483] us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge[G2564, from G1458 and G1722] of God's elect[G1588 from G1586]? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written (in Psalm 44:22), "For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, that I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed[G2128 from G2127] for ever. Amen." (KJV)

Romans 8:31-9:5 "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare[G5339] his own Son but gave him up[G3860] for us all, how will he not also with him[G4862] graciously[G5483] give us all things? Who shall bring any charge[G2564 from G1458 and G1722] against God's elect[G1588 from G1586]? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?  As it is written (in Psalm 44:22), "For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit— that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh. They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed[G2128 from G2127] forever. Amen." (ESV)

Romans 8:31-9:5 "All these things point to one conclusion, GOD is for Us! Who can prevail against us? The [1; G3860] gift of his Son is the irrefutable evidence of God's heart towards us. He [2; G5339] held nothing in reserve; but freely and undeservedly [3; G5483] gave everything we could ever wish to have; this is what our [4; G4862] joint sonship is all about. (The word [1; G3860 is from G3844 and G1325] paradidomi, reflects the source of the gift, the very bosom of the Father. The word [2; G5339] pheidomai, means to treat leniently or sparingly. To show one's self gracious, kind, benevolent, is the word [3; G5483] charizomai. The word [4; G4862] sun (pronounced soon) suggests complete union. Everything we lost in Adam is again restored to us in Christ. Sin left humanity with an enormous shortfall; Grace restores humanity to excellence! [Romans 3:21-24, 1Corinthians 2:7]) GOD has [1; G1458] identified us, who can disqualify us? His [2; G1588]word is our origin. No-one can point a finger; he declared us innocent! ( The word [1; G2564, is part of G1458 and G1722] kaleo, means to identify by name, to surname. The word [2; G1588, from G1586 and G1587, G3004] eklektos suggests that we have our origin in GOD's thoughts; and is from[G1587] ek, source, and[G3004] lego, to communicate. He has placed us beyond the reach of blame and shame, guilt and gossip! ) What further ground can there possibly be to condemn humanity? In his death he faced our judgment; in his resurrection he reveals our righteousness (aquittal); the implications cannot be undone! He now occupies the highest seat of authority as the executive of our redemption in the Throne room of GOD. (look at verse 1, also Romans 4:25) What will it take to distance us from the love of Christ (ie...GOD)? You name any potential calamity: intense pressure of the worst possible kind, cluster-phobia, persecution, destitution, loneliness, extreme exposure, life-threatening danger, or war? Let me quote Scripture to remind you, "Because of our association with you, we are reckoned as sheep to be slaughtered; we have been thoroughly slain on that day." (Psalm 44:22. Look also at Ephesians 2:5, 4:8-9; Hosea 6:2, "After two days he will revive us, on the third day he will raise us up! We have been co-crucified, co-raised and are now co-seated together with Christ!) On the contrary, in the thick of these things our triumph remains beyond dispute. His love has placed us above the reach of any onslaught. This is my conviction; no threat whether it be in death or life; be it Angelic beings, demon powers or political principalities, nothing known to us at this time, or even in the unknown future; no dimension of any calculation in time or space, nor any device yet to be invented, has what it takes to separate us from the love of GOD demonstrated in Christ. Jesus is our ultimate authority. What I am about to say in my honest persuasion; I am convinced beyond doubt of our inseparable union in Christ; my own conscience bears witness to this in the Holy Spirit. In the light of humanity's inclusion and redeemed innocence, i feel such sorrow and painful longing for my fellow Jews. (They are all equally included but they just do not see it!) If it could in any way profit them i would prefer myself to rather be excluded from the blessing of Christ. If my exclusion could possibly help them understand their inclusion, I would gladly offer my body as a sacrifice. Son-ship is the natural heritage of Israel; they historically witnessed the glory and covenants and the dramatic endorsement of the Law; the prophetic rituals of worship and the Messianic promises belong to them. They are the physical family of the Messiah. Yet he supersedes all our definitions; he is GOD, the [1; G2128 from G2127] source of blessing and the ultimate announcement of everything good, for all ages. Amen! (The word, [1; G2128] eulogetos, means blessed, and is from [G2127] eulogeo, good word, good news, or "well done" announcement; normally translated, blessing. The Word of GOD reaches far beyond the boundaries of Israel, it includes every nation.) (The Mirror)

The LORD willing, we shall pick things backup at verse 6 next time.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 8.3, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

The heading of this section of our subject in my study Bibles is ""Our Victory in Christ," which is also the heading of a separate area of interest yet to be added to the mix here. For we who are called sons and daughter of GOD are to walk out our lives as victors in Christ's Victory as heirs even today. This simply put means that we are not to be as the world is and does in fleshes weakness and sin rule, by walking in GOD's Faith and Grace of righteousness's innocence. That said we shall get right into to days study without any more delay. And oh, by the way we shall also see the name GOD has given us!

Romans 8:26-27 "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession [G1793] for the "saints" according to the will of God." (KJV)

Romans 8:26-27 "Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes [G1793] for the "saints" according to the will of God." (ESV)

Romans 8:26-27 "The Spirit also sighs within us with words too deep for articulation, assisting us in our prayers when we struggle to know how to pray properly. When we feel restricted in our flesh, he supersedes our clumsy efforts and hits bull-eye every time. (He continues to call things which seem nonexistent as though they were, are! [Romans 4:17]. He is never distracted, he only sees and celebrates his (and our) perfection.) He who scrutinizes the heart understands the intention of the spirit. His [1; G1793] intercession for the Saints is consistent with the blue-print purpose of GOD. ("I knew you even before I fashioned you in your mother's womb" [Jeremiah 1:5]. "Then you will know, even as you have always been known." [1Corinthians 13:12]. He knows us so much better that what we know ourselves. He intercedes for us, [1; G1793 from G1722 and G5177] entungchano, means to hit the target with an arrow or javelin. He is not trying to persuaded GOD about us, he persuades us about the Father! He brings our conversation back to the point; the success of the Cross.)

Romans 8:28-30 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate (in Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7) to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did (in Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7) predestinate [G4309], them he also called [G2822]: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified." (KJV)

Romans 8:28-30 "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined (in Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7) to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he (in Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7) predestined [G4309] he also called [G2822], and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified." (ESV)

Romans 8:28-30 "Meanwhile we know that the love of GOD causes everything to mutually contribute to our advantage. His Master Plan is announced in our original identity. (Called according to his purpose, [G2822] kaleo, the same as klētos, [G2821] means to surname, to identify [us] by name.) He per-designed and engineered us from the start to be jointly fashioned in the same mold (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7) and image of his Son according to the exact blue-print of his thought. We see the original and intended pattern of our lives preserved in his Son. he is the firstborn from the same womb that reveals our genesis. He confirms that we are the invention of GOD. (We were born anew when he was raise from the dead! [1Peter 1:3] His resurrection co-revealed our common genesis as well as our redeemed innocence. [Romans 4:25 and Acts 17:31] No wonder then that he is not ashamed to call us his brethren! We share the same origin [Hebrews 2:11], and, "In Him we live and more and have our being, we are indeed his offspring!" [Acts 17:28].) Jesus revealed that we [1; G4309] pre-existed in GOD; he defined us. He justified us and also glorified us. He redeemed our innocence and restored the glory we lost in Adam. (As in Romans 3:23-24; [1; G4309 from G4253 and G3724] prooritso, pre-defined, like when an architect draws up a detailed plan or blue-print; kaleo, to surname, identify by name.) (The Mirror)

The LORD willing we shall pick this up again in our next post. Where we shall look at, "if GOD is for us who can stand against us."

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", taken from Romans 8.2, the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

We are now headed into the argument between our being in glory or being just average folks who just happen to believe Jesus and the gospel of Paul's revelation. And that revelation is that we are now the Righteousness of GOD and the innocence of Christ or heirs of His glory. This revelation receives stiff resistance by the religious folks who believe in a futuristic event of a far off promise yet not fulfilled, these people are the hindrance to the gospel and are part of the fallen spirit woman of Revelation 17-18 and the mystery church or man of lawlessness of 2Thessalonians. Okay, enough said about that as we have already studied these in some detail.

Romans 8:12-17 "Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led [G71] by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together." (KJV)

Romans 8:12-17 "So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led [G71] by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!" The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him." (ESV)

Romans 8:12-17 "We owe our flesh nothing. In the light of all this, to now continue to live under the sinful influence of the senses, is to reinstate the dominion of spiritual death. Instead, we are indebted to now exhibit the highest expression of life inspired by the Spirit. This life demonstrates zero tolerance to the habits and sinful patterns of the flesh. The original life of the Father revealed in his Son is the life the Spirit now [1; G71] conducts within us. (The word, [1; G71] agoo, means to conduct or to lead as a Shepherd leads his sheep.) Slavery is such a poor substitute for sonship! They are opposites; the one leads forcefully through fear while sonship responds fondly to Abba Father. His Spirit resonates within us and our spirit, to confirm this fact that we originate in GOD. Because we are his offspring, we qualify to be heirs; GOD Himself is our portion, we co-inherit with Christ. Since we were represented and included in his sufferings we equally participate in the glory of his resurrection." (The Mirror)

Romans 8:18-25 "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Matthew 11:25-30) For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it." (KJV)

Romans 8:18-25 "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. (Matthew 11:25-30) For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience." (ESV)

Romans 8:18-25 "He has taken the sting out of our sufferings; what seemed burdensome in this life becomes insignificant (Matthew 11:25-30) in comparison to the glory he reveals in us. Our lives now represent the one event every creature anticipates with held breath, standing on tip-toes as it were to witness the unveiling of the sons of GOD. Can you hear the drum-roll? Every creature suffered abuse through Adam's fall; they were discarded like a squeezed-out orange. Creation did not volunteer to fall prey to the effects of the fall. Yet within this stark setting, hope prevailed. All creation knows that the glorious liberty of the sons of GOD sets the stage for their own release from decay. We sense the global agony and pain recorded in history until this very moment. We ourselves feel the grief echo of their groaning within us while we are ready to embrace the original blueprint also of our physical stature to the full consequence of our sonship. What we already now participate in as first fruits of the spirit will bloom into a full gathering of the (promised) harvest. (The glorified physical body [Matthew 17 and John 17; Mark 9 and Luke 9]. Also the full realization of everything reconciled in Christ. In James 1:18, "It was his delightful resolve to give birth to us; we were conceived by the unveiling logic of GOD, the Word of Truth." We lead the exhibition of his handiwork, like first fruits introducing the rest of the harvest he anticipates.) For what we already experience confirms our hope and continues to fuel our expectation for what we still cannot see. In the final visible completeness of the harvest, hope has fulfilled its function. In the meantime our expectation takes us beyond visual confirmation into a place of patient contentment and contemplation." (The Mirror)

The LORD willing, we shall carry this on next time, with our victory in Christ; This being an outline still under the LORD's construction.
