Continuing with Sheep not of this fold

Having just discovered that Jesus always intended to bring others besides Israel to GOD as His own. Now I will look a little closer at this through chapter 14 on through 17, but in stages as the LORD-GOD the Holy SPIRIT leads. Beginning with Jesus confirming His Deity while confronting His disciples and then moving to the required need of all of humanity our receiving the seal of the blood and water marriage vow the Holy SPIRIT.

Jesus the only way to the Father

John 14:1-7, 8-14 "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for (those who follow after) you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. And you (will) know the way to where I am going." Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going. How can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through (within) Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also. From now on you do know Him and (because you) have seen Him (meaning I and the Father are One)."

Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know Me, Philip? Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own authority, but the Father who dwells in Me (I must interject that Jesus did not become the Christ until he as the son of man Jesus, had his day of Pentecost at His baptism by the hands of John) does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me, or else believe on account of the works themselves. "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes (en, this is to say believes, depends on) Me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name (here it comes the secret of GOD, established in marriage union having taken GOD's name of Messiah or Christ), this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My (union) name, I will do it."

The Promise and Role of the Holy SPIRIT

Joh 14:15-17, 18-24, 25-31 "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments (the set goal, the established result and purpose of God). And I will ask the Father, and HE will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, Whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for HE (it is that) dwells with you and will be in you.
"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come (again) to you. Yet a little while and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will know that I Am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. Whoever has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to (within as being spirit to SPIRIT in) him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep (receive) My word, and My Father will love him, and WE will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever does not love (act as I AM) Me does not keep My words. And the word that you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me (implying we are to speak as the Father spoke through the man Jesus being restored to union with HIM).
"These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name (Christ), HE will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you (is not meaning a singular or a particular group of people as the door is open wide for all of humanity after the day of reformation and transition, Pentecost) Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard Me say to you, 'I am going away, and I will come to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on Me, for I do as the Father has commanded Me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go from here."

Continuing with Sheep not of this fold

To begin this examination of Jesus' own words with the dead vail lifted, circumcised, by the hand of God. To give clear and accurate perception for wisdom knowledge and the light of understanding of Him, again. I will begin in John's synoptic gospel with chapter 10. My prayer is that those who find these many years of posts will have the vail removed from their spiritual eyes and ears to see clearly and to hear clearly the revelation of Christ (the Spirit union of GOD) restored to mans being. As promised eons ago by God based on His workings on our behalf through His Son and our LORD, who is the LORD of both the old and new blood covenants. Now I will make use of the ESV translation in this effort as it is easiest to read and hopefully find the understanding. To see what was and has been the plague for mankind for those eons of past history. I will begin at verse one and then go through most of this chapter as I plain to do with chapters 14 through 17 that are to follow in their own order, so far.

"I am the good Shepherd"

John 10:1-10 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers."
This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them (there remained the vail of separation hanging in the temple of their being is why this was so). So Jesus again said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I Am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers (referring to the priests of long ago and even still there are many), but the sheep did not listen to them. I Am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. (here comes a warning for all who would be a shepherd) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

John 10:11-18, 19-21 "I Am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. (picking back up with the warning) "He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep." I Am the good shepherd. I know My own and My own know Me, just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. (this is the distinction of there being a separation between sheep and goats that is to follow) And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from My Father."
There was again a division among the Jews because of these words. Many of them said, "He has a demon, and is insane; why listen to him?" Others said, "These are not the words of one who is oppressed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?"

"I and the Father are One"

John 10:22-30 "At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are (GOD's Messiah) the Christ, tell us plainly." Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's (the Messiah is this) name bear witness about Me, but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. (here is the distinction of separation that separates true sheep from the others of the worldly and religious) My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are One."

John 10:31-39, 40-42 "The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone Me?" The Jews answered him, "It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God." To this Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I said, you are gods'? If He called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken— do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'? (here He is saying I Am GOD's position, are you, is the question herein implied) If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me and I Am in the Father." (this is our positional relationship as well when we receive Him) Again they sought to arrest Him, but He escaped from their hands.
He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing at first, and there He remained. And many came to Him. And they said, "John did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true." And many believed in Him there."

Sheep not of this fold.

In John's synoptic gospel Jesus is quoted as saying that He has other sheep not of the Hebrew fold, or household, this is chapter 10 verse 16. Throughout this chapter Jesus is building up to what He shares in chapters 14 through 17. For it is in chapter 17 that His high priestly prayer is found which speaks of God's plan and purpose for Jesus' coming in the first place. For the next few weeks I will look into this teaching and revelation of GOD being restored to the soul of all humanity after the ascension and the day of Pentecost. This is spoken of in Hebrews in the use of the term the day of transition or transformation, in other areas it is spoken of as "the day of the LORD," there being many such days in mans history. The term "Christ" is the central figure of expression used as we are to become identified as being Christ ones in the family of God. Now this also causes confusion among many because of other terms used such as church and body. Now here is a big one, there is no nation of God as being a singular nation nor is there a church as a singular unit. In fact there is no church or synagogues spoken of in the heavenly kingdom. Because God's kingdom is composed of people of all tribes tongues and nations being brought into one family, as part of His divine being. This is seen in the Revelation of Christ after the first three chapters where the early churches are being warned and spoken of. Then chapter 4 begins with the vision of a door in heaven this door Jesus spoke of as being Himself in John 10:9. So John like Enoch before him enters this door located in Heaven as they are both Christ ones.

I said all of this to say that Jesus was under restraint of the Law and Prophets and could only reveal just so much of what was to follow after Him. This is why He spoke in parables metaphors, figures of language or symbolisms. Leaving their revelation to the Holy Spirits work in man to bring the knowledge of Christ to those who will receive and hear Him.

Now I will break my own rule and share but this one verse using the ESV translation: John 10:16 "I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd."

Continuing with the Children of light

I have been looking at our being children of light no longer a child of darkness and I would hope that we have learned what it means to become one. Now there is another area that lays along the same line and its term is " sons of light." Like so many other the things GOD deems important for us HE has the Holy Spirit repeat them some in the same language of phrase in words used, some with a slit change of words, some are so important that they are only repeated and repeater then again within the same verse or close in the same passage. That said I will I am sure repeat in this short study some of the same passaged covered in my last. And as always I will be making use of the ESV translation for this one also. Before I get into our study, why did the Bible translators change the old testament use of LORD to Lord because of  the name or title of Jesus? He remains the LORD Adonai or Master as seen throughout the old. He was Jesus in mans flesh for a short time to legally accomplish His assignment of returning man to his place as promised in Genesis 3:15 and in 12:3 as the nations here.

Sons of Light:

Luke 16:19 "Jesus also said to the disciples, "There was a rich man who had a manager, and charges were brought to him that this man was wasting his possessions. And he called him and said to him, 'What is this that I hear about you? Turn in the account of your management, for you can no longer be manager.' And the manager said to himself, 'What shall I do, since my master is taking the management position away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg. I have decided what to do, so that when I am removed from management, people may receive me into their houses.' So, summoning his master's debtors one by one, he said to the first, 'How much do you owe my master?' He said, 'A hundred measures of oil.' He said to him, 'Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.' Then he said to another, 'And how much do you owe?' He said, 'A hundred measures of wheat.' He said to him, 'Take your bill, and write eighty.' The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light. And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings."

John 12:27-43 (Jesus is speaking) "Now is My soul troubled. And what shall I say? 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this purpose I have come to this hour. Father, glorify your name." Then a voice came from heaven: "I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again." The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, "An angel has spoken to Him." Jesus answered, "This voice has come for your sake, not Mine. Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to Myself." He said this to show by what kind of death He was going to die (being clothed in mans flesh His death in and of the flesh bruised the head of Satan in that flesh, casting out his influence as the strongman of the flesh). So the crowd answered Him, "We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?" So Jesus said to them, "The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in (receive) the light, that you may become sons of light." When Jesus had said these things, He departed and hid Himself from them. Though He had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in Him, so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: "Lord, who has believed what he heard from us, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?" Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said, "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them." Isaiah said these things because he saw His glory and spoke of Him. Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in Him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God."

Ephesians 5:6-14 "Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the LORD. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the LORD. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine in you."

1Thessalonians 5:1 "Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the LORD will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "There is peace and security," then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For GOD has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."

At this moment I have nothing by way of assignment and I have taken a stand not to force any thing, so I will take the posture of waiting on the LORD. I hope that I have given you something to conceder and do some deep thought on. Seek the Holy Spirit guidance for all things spiritual and then practical by way of fruit.

Continuing with the Children of light

We have looked at Spiritual Light in our past studies and I think our GOD as Light. But in this study I am focused on our being light as posers of Christ's Spirit within our vary being as the first Adam and woman were also posers of His being in Genesis 2. For the LORD of the old came forward from His invisible realm to our visible but limited universe to reconnect GOD and man into One being, again. One more thing, this is about the book of the Revelation of Christ and it is this there is no temple in it....this we will see later. And ho by the way I am using the ESV translation in this study in case you have not figured that out yet.

Christ the Light of the World:

2Corinthians 4:1-6 "Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of GOD, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with GOD's word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of GOD. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of GOD (making Him GOD as in the beginning of Genesis 1:1). For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as LORD, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For it was GOD, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of GOD in the face of Jesus Christ."

Ephesians 5:6-14 (Luke 1:67-79) and 1John 2:7-11 "Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of GOD comes upon the sons of disobedience.
(Luke 1:67-79 And his (John the Baptist's) father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying, "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people (His Is-re's) and has raised up a horn of salvation (limiting in whom salvation is operative) for us in the house of His servant David, as HE spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from of old, that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us; to show the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant, the oath that he swore to our father Abraham, to grant us (Genesis 12:3c) that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all our days. And you, child (John), will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare His ways, to give knowledge of salvation to His people in the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light (2Peter 1:19) to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.")

1John 2:7-11 "Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard. At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining. Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes."

Revelation 21:22-27 "I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the LORD GOD the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of GOD gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, and its gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there. They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations. But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life."

From here I want to look at Sons of Light, the LORD willing.

Children of light

Continuing with a look into our being children of life in light. This being restricted to those who are receivers and posers of the Spirit of Christ because as we will soon see that it is in Jesus that all life originates and this life spring from again it source is Jesus, or the old testament LORD.

Christ the light of this world:

John 1:1-5 and 9-13 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was GOD. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him is life, and this life is the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.....The true light (1John 2:8), which gives light to everyone, coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, yet the world did (still does) not know Him. He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him. But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gives the right to become children of God, who are born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God."

John 8:12-20 "Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows (walks with) Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." So the Pharisees said to Him, "You are bearing witness about yourself; your testimony is not true." Jesus answered, "Even if I do bear witness about Myself, My testimony is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from or where I am going. You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. Yet even if I do judge, My judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent Me. In your Law it is written that the testimony of two people is true. I am the one who bears witness about Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness about Me." They said to Him therefore, "Where is your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father. If you knew Me, you would know My Father also." These words He spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; but no one arrested Him, because His hour had not yet come."

John 12:27-43 and 46-50 (Jesus is speaking) "Now is My soul troubled. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to Myself." He said this to show by what kind of death He was going to die. While you have the light, believe in the light (that is receive), that you may become sons of light."
When Jesus had said these things, He departed and hid Himself from them. Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed Him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from GOD....Jesus cried out and said, "Whoever believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And whoever sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes Me may not remain in darkness. If anyone hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save (bring healing to) the world. The one who rejects Me and does not receive My words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority, but the Father who sent Me has Himself given Me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. And I know that His commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told Me."

I shall continue with this soon.

Children of light

I am not going to be long in way of introduction on this short study as I have been in my past. I now am willing to let the LORD by His Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Christ to do all the speaking in those who find and ready this blog. There is another light spoken of it being Spiritual Light, this light is reflected from believers / receivers of Christ and I may look at this later on.

Christ the Light of the World:

Isaiah 9:1-7 and 42:5-9, Matthew 4:12-16, Luke 1:67-79 "But there will be no gloom for her who was in anguish. In the former time He (the LORD) brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the latter time He has made glorious the way of the sea, the land beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone. You have multiplied the nation; You have increased its joy; they rejoice before You as with joy at the harvest, as they are glad when they divide the spoil. For the yoke of his burden, and the staff for his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, You have broken as on the day of Midian. For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult and every garment rolled in blood will be burned as fuel for the fire. For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over His kingdom (reign), to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this."

Isaiah 42:5-9 "Thus says God, the LORD, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread out the earth and what comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it: "I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give You as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations, to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness. (John 8:32, Romans 6:18) I am the LORD; that is My name; My glory I give to no other, nor My praise to carved idols. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them."

Matthew 4:12-16 "Now when Jesus heard that John had been arrested, He withdrew into Galilee. And leaving Nazareth He went and lived in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali, so that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: "The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles— the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned."

Luke 1:67-79 "John the Baptist's father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying, "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David, as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from of old, that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us; to show the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant, and the oath that He swore to our father Abraham, to grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all our days. And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the LORD to prepare His ways, to give knowledge of salvation to His people in the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."
This is but the first more is to follow.

Children of Light

I will begin with the Lord Jesus' own words as recorded by John in chapter 10 of his synoptic gospel account of Jesus which establishes for us the fact that Jesus was and is indeed and truth the promised one the Christ-Messiah. But it was Isaiah who had the vision of the Christ and Messiah of Israel as he recorded it in chapter 9 of his book. Now for our scripture passage beginning at verse 22 through 30 with 37-38 and then back up to 11 through 18; "At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around Him and said to Him, "How long will You keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father's name bear witness about Me, but you do not believe because you are not among My sheep. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.....If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me and I am in the Father.....I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. I am the good shepherd. I know My own and My own know Me, just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd (Ephesians 4).For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My (this limited) life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from My Father."

Now for the area of interest which is located in chapter 12 beginning at verse 20 where Jesus looked by some interested Greeks and shortly there after He is speaking of His coming death; "Now among those who went up to worship at the feast were some Greeks. So these came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and asked him, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus." Philip went and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus. And Jesus answered them, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, he must follow (walk as one with, Amos 3:3) Me; and where I am, there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him."
"Now is My soul troubled. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to Myself." He said this to show by what kind of death He was going to die. So the crowd answered Him, "We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?" So Jesus said to them, "The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest (this worlds) darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light." When Jesus had said these things, He departed and hid Himself from them.

Now I have italicized the area of interest which states this once again, "that you may become sons of light" and the other passage states this from chapter 10; "I have other sheep not of this fold." Okay, I think that I am ready to get into the study of Christ the light for all men who come into this world.
