Thessalonians part 3

1Thessalonians 3:1-5, 6-10, 11-13 “Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone; And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlaborer in the gospel of Christ [who's gospel is it, the Gospel of Christ, not of Moses or Israel as it was during the time or dispensation of its administration where GOD was dealing primarily with the Hebrews as the people through whom He would come as promised in Genesis 3:15 and 12:3 in vailed language], to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith: That no man should be moved by these afflictions (this is another confirmation of our stand that we are not to be as proclaimed by todays false gospel, that being on easy street [the broadway of mans creation under Satan's own control and influence as these two letters point out so clearly] through this life in Christ*): for yourselves know that we are appointed thereto. For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, as you know. For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith (Timothy, of verse 2 above), lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labor be in vain.
*When we have acquired the image of Christ restored within we will take up His standard against evil and all falsehood of man, as Christ-like-ones. It is from this standard that we will be misunderstood and acused of being false, by the false ones.

Now when Timotheus came from you to us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that you have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you: Therefore, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord. For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God; Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

Now God Himself, our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you. And the LORD make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the end He may establish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.”

Here again Paul is maintaining that the day of the LORD as being on the horizon, as the range of mans limited knowledge or interest, not to leave out his personal experiences. Paul was executed around 68AD. And from that time forward man has been looking the this day to happen in each generation based upon the record of, wars and rumar of wars, and a few others signs of the times. In our own day we have the rise of the false christs, false prophets and antiChrists in large numbers. Infact as I stated earlier we have also the black, dark or pale horse riders of Relevation 6, who carries the balance of law and religion in his hand now operating among us. From the foundation of the world and its beginning of time God has not been without a Prophet to point the way back to Him, with the Lord Immanuel-Jesus being the greatest of these. Because He, in Jesus came as that one and same Prophet through Whom GOD changed the nature of fallen mankind forever. GOD pulled off the worlds greatest coup d'etat against man and Satan who ruled mankind and still does as a wounded devil. Jesus through His resurrection and that of the ancients made a public spectacle of the deception and this blindsided Satan. Which the Epistles clearly point out as do the Psalms and Prophets within the vailed language of the Old Testament, which requires our having received anew the SPIRIT to both see and hear the rhema of GOD's own words. Upon which we are to live move and have our being.

Thessalonians part 2

1Thessalonians 2:1-8, 9-12, 13-16, 17-20 “For yourselves, know our entrance in to you, that it was not in vain: But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as you know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God with much contention (a struggle to bring out the Truth against those of the oposition who perpetrated a hoax or lies as the false prophets or false Christs who are counted among the anti-Christs, for Paul many of these were his Hebrew brothers of his former life as a Pharisee among the politically and economically correct of his day). For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile [making refference to those stated above]: But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust [stewards] with the [this] gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, Who tries our hearts. For neither at any time used we flattering words, as you well know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is our witness: Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherishes her children: So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted to you, not the gospel of God [this relates to what Jesus told Peter and from Whom Peter revealed that Jesus was the Son of God and that it is upon this way of understanding and revelation that He would build His Church as a Body or Family unit, His heirs of Psalm 2:6-8, and John 10:14-16, 27-28 and 2Corinthians 5:14-15] only, but also our own souls, because you were dear to us.

For you remember, our labor and travail: for laboring night and day, because we would not be chargeable to any of you, we preached to you the [this] gospel of God. You are witnesses, and so is God, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: As you know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father does his children, that you would walk worthy of God, Who has called you to His kingdom and glory.

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in Truth, the word [rhema or revelation a Life restoring Truth] of God, which effectually works also in you that believe. For you, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for you also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews* [Paul did not say the Romans, or Gentiles but says the Jews, those who later and elsewhere he referres to as dogs, and remember he is writing under the influence of the Spirit of Truth, Who is Christ Jesus. Is in ontological form as the Spirit of Genesis 1 and indeed as all other scriptures reveal Him]: Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

But we, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavored the more abundantly to see your face with great desire. Wherefore we would have come to you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us*. For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy.”

*Here Paul places and ties those Jews, of verses 14 where it states, "even of the Jews," through 16. And indeed all others who are hindering him from his assignment of proclaiming the LORD'S Gospel, or God's Gosple, in the mystery or secret hidden in or by God, as being agents of Satan. These agents of Satan are the false prophets, false Christs and anti-Christs of our own day. Among whom are found many without number as being church members and those who become pastors, teachers, politians, economists and rules or kings of the nations. This should bring us back to the time that as Saul of Tarsus, Paul was all about doing the samething that he now accuses his fellows of the Jews faith, religion, of now doing to him and those who come to Christ as their LORD. Because as he found out for himself he was not persecuting them but was persecuting the ontological essence of Christ who was restored within them.

Thessalonians part 1

1Thessalonians 1:1, 2-10 “Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, to the church of the Thessalonians which are in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

With this introduction Paul shows the Church, Body and Family are all parts of GOD's Glory or the armor which we as believers, who place our confidence, hope, trust and belief in His Truth are now covered by His Light, Light being glory as it first covered Adam and woman in Genesis 2. And later covered the face of Moses which Moses covered with a vail to hide this glory. But with this also comes the message as given to the Corinithians in chapter 11 of his second letter, where we find this statement of rebuttle beginning at verse 1 through the end of verse 6, “Would to God you would bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that comes preachs another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you receive another spirit, which you have not received, or another gospel, which you have not accepted, you might well bear with him. For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles. But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.”
Here in Corinthians as in all of his epistles Paul is warning of the deception, twisting and perversion of his revelation gospel of God in Christ and Christ restored within our soul. Where Paul calls this the perfect day in Philippians 1:6 and Peter even eludes to it in 1Peter 1:2-3 and 2Peter 3:10. Both speak of the angel of light who perverts this gospel in a manor that is easly digested because of mans imaginations acceptance, these things also called vain, which wants and desires worldly things, material things to satify the hunger of the unredeemed soul, ruled by the flesh. Paul is here speaking of spiritual things as he does in the context of all of his epistles.

Back to Thessalonians:

“We [Paul counts those that are with him as one unit by the use of this word, “we.” And the fact that he writes under the direction of the Holy Spirit within him is also reflected by the use of this word. He thereby shifts the credit to the LORD the Spirit within] give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Knowing, beloved, your election of God; For our gospel came not to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. You became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction [not in wealth and prosperity or physical healings but rather], with joy of the Holy Ghost: So that you were ensamples [an example to be imitiated] to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia [this could just as well read in New Jersey, Idaho, or even Wisconsin or more accurately any cities name as a larger unit or House of God's presence wherein He is the ever present One]. For from you sounded out the word of the Lord [they acted as messengers of the Lord's Gosple] not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing. For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God [I so wish that this was still so, but because of what Paul states later in 2Thessalonians and what Jesus Himself states it will not remain so for much longer]; And to wait for His Son from heaven, Whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, which delivered [this is a limiting term used in the pass tense form being that it may not remain so, if the wornings are not heard and properly acted upon] us from the wrath to come.”

Who delievers us from the appointed wrath to come upon all the unGodly? Jesus does! This is a play on words for the trained ear because it is a line or even a circle drawn in the sands by God's own hand. Much like the metaphor of a wheel within a wheel of Ezekiel, signifying parts or stages for our sancification. If we fail to remain part of the wheel we will fall away and become part of the worlds church of unbelief, just as Israel as a nation has done. This wheel has like all other wheels a hub or centeral post, an axel, which is Christ. Because it is around Him that all things move, as He is both the Head of a Family or His Church and Body, all being One unit. Each being a metaphor for the other.

Thessalonias

Thessalonians study out line.
For years I have shund doing a study of the Thessalonians letters. But for the past few weeks now I have felt the need to read and reread them which I have been faithful to do. With no particular agrenda in mind but to just listen to them. I started by reading the introductions to both books, in two or three different translations and publishers to see if there was anything that I could pick up on by them as an aid.
Today with the tremendous advancement of evil or so it seems, these two epistles speak volums even to the untrained and unsanitized or sanctified eyes and ears. I will cover them as one unit combining both letters as one study. And will also eleminate the term “brothern” used repeatedly within these two Epistles. Let's see how the LORD leads.

This study could well be titled the revealing of the Axis of Evil. Satan as the deceiver of mankind works overtime to destroy the power of Truth in God's people and His Living and Life emparting Word. And man by the operation of his own imagination plays into Satans hand by the refusal of the acknowledgeing of evils exsistance within man as is often expressed through others. For me this is brought about because man eats from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which causes ignorance and denial of the exsistance of evil through mans own religious forms in what Paul calls the tradition of man, in Colossians 2:8 which states this; “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Peter states this in 2Peter 3:17; “You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.” So it is possible to fall from the convictions of our inward knowing of Christ. If this is or was not so there would have been no need to warn those who have experienced the inward baptism of the heart wherein the sanctification takes place by GOD'S own hand. In the cutting away of the seed shell which covers it. It is the Holy Spirit who alone breaks up the otherwise stoney heart (this takes place during our Redemption period and is spoken of as our being the husbandman or tilage of GOD) to prepare the hearts reception of Light onto Life Eternal. Many of the scripture passages I will look at tie together as they have double and triple meanings and purposes within them. This is GOD'S way of making His point and is ment for our learning onto comprehension.

One more thing I will break up the follow of these passages not in a verse by verse form but rather in a complete thought or in paragraph form, as close as I can get. Many translations have a symbol of some sort located at what maybe the beginning break of a paragraph and it is from these breaks that I will draw from. The other thing that I have noticed is that the first letter is a word of encuragement and exhortation before Paul begins a stronger second letter of warning against antichrists, false Christs and false prophets also known as lawlessness and the son or sons of perdition. This is a patren used by the Holy Spirit throughout scripture and is most obvious in the first three chapters of Revelation and the LORD'S calling out of the churches that would soon fall to the ancient goddess of religion. First found in Babylon (but is hidden in the context of Genesis 3) the symbolic city of sin and death in that sin, through its king Nimrod (known as the Assyrians people, made up from Asshur and Nimrod, Genesis 6:11, 10:6 [9-11]-19, 13:13, 1Chronicles 1:10-16) and his wife and mother [also known by Mother Earth and Mother Nature, the furtility goddess of the Winter and Spring Solstice, which runs with the Spring and Winter Equinox or the spirit called Jezebel which is also seen in Revelation 2:20]. And their gods and goddesses some of which are known by Adramelech, Molech or Moloch (2Kings 17:24-33 [30-31]). First to succum to them was Israel through what todays is known as Islam of the Persians. The very people God told Joshua to destroy (Joshua 10), these people were from Ham, Ishmeal and Esau and are spoken of by Ehoch as becoming ravenous, devious, wild wolves (Micha 5:6, 7:2, Jeremiah 6:14-18), who are devoid of the God who created man in His image and likeness. These early Christian churches become Muslims themselves. When the Turks slaughtered millions of them in what is called a holy Jihad. In the turning away from being Christ centered, to man centered. It could be said that they fell away from the Faith as prototypes ment for our learning.

1Thessalonians 1:1, 2-10 “Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, to the church of the Thessalonians which are in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ."

Colossians Study Outline

The Cross Abolished all Legalism in ordinances in the Law of Moses and the forefathers standards built on their traditions. Jesus Christ is the visible manifeastion of the invisible Godhead as the Son of man, our second Adam as promised in Genesis 3:15.

Colossians 3:18-21

"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. Children, obey your parents in all things; for this is well pleasing unto the Lord." Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged."
How many wives are submitting to their own husbands these days? Not many because we see the divorce rates climb even among Christians, mainly because of a rebellious heart in both parties. Here Paul touches on another matter, that being the seed of bitterness which is at the root of each person born to woman through the offices of a man. It is this root that causes so many divorces and troubles among all peoples and nations. Jesus being the one and only exception because He was born through a divine intervention to a virgin girl as Prophesied. And this is in fulfillment of the promise of Genesis 3:15, through the offices of the Father and LORD of spirits. Then Paul touches on another credtical area of life in the soul of man then rage and anger provoked by fathers within the offspring. This being another root of evil that governs our yougth among all nations and peoples.

Colossians 3:22-23
“Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”
We have to use common sense as fathers and leaders in business practices. Then he comes down to employees with regards to their employer, and all of this is just plain practical common sense instructions for a child of God.

Colossians 3:24-25

“Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.”
This speaks in plan language that our reward is in serving the Lord Christ and by serving those who He sends, brings or leads us to or them to us. But if we take lightly His message we shall receive for the wrong we've done. Paul also interjects a word of warning, that being that we are not to be a respecter of persons, which simply means we treat all people alike and as equals. Because we all have the same origin and beginnings.

Colossians 4:1

“Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.”
Are you a pastor, a businessman an owner of a business or a headmaster of a school of education no matter its level or doctrines. If the answer is yes and your a true believer of this Gospel of the LORD Christ then this applies to you. Treat all people with respect and limitation of personal power as was the practice of Christ Jesus in all things.

Colossians 4:2-4

“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.”
For me on a personal level the Lord asked, if I was ready to receive and accept my calling, to which my response was yes, LORD. As long as You remain my source, sufficiency and supply through it all, because You must increase while I decrease. He then showed me that we (my wife and I) were to be a type of life preserver. In that we would throw or give out a message of reconciliation which would have a lite twine type of rope attached but untied. If the party accepted the message the twine would become tied under that condition. The party would have to remove all idols from themselves (from their vain imagination of perception) and their homes. And Christ then would be their Lord otherwise the twine would slip off and away from the life preserver and they would seal their own doom (Jude 21-23). So my request is that of Paul's “that an open door for utterance of these secrets of Christ be granted us” and that there'd be hearts open to receive Him like Lydia's before us.

Colossians 4:5-6

“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without (in other words let the Light of Life in Christ shine through), redeeming the time (this is today and is what I am about doing as He leads). Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man (be so filled by the Holy Spirit, Love, Faith and Grace and the wisdom He imparts at the time of need that it is He who speaks through us).”

From here Paul lists his fellow workers and the assemblies where this Epistle is to be read as a means of strengthening their hearers. Then he says in verse 12 the following; “ a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” We as servants first of Christ and then of you, and I say our Amen to this statement.

The Cross Abolished all Legalism in ordinances in the Law of Moses and the forefathers standards built on their traditions.

Colossians 3:17

"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."
There’s the process again, as Paul also gave it in Ephesians on how we’re to pray. We still have people ask, "Are we still supposed to pray in the name of Jesus?" Absolutely! Because we reside in Him, a wife uses her husbands name every time she writes a check to draw on their bank account. But she like us does not repeat in Jesus' name because we are in Him and He is in us as the “one” of 2Corinthiand 5. After doing many Epistle outlines it has become clear to me that to repeat the phrase, “in Jesus name” as and ending for prayer is some what demeaning. What I mean is this, according to John 10:14-16 and 27 and when we know Him as we are cautioned to know Him we are clothed within Him and to repeat a phrase does not reflect this knowledge. To me it simply means I do not have any revelation of what it means to be clothed in Christ, its as if I were naked and exposed to the world, as a young child might be when running around with only a diaper on. Or how about this, in todays society there are some men who dress in womans clothing imaiting a femenist personality instead of being a mans man. Some of these people even demand that right to use the facilities set aside for only women which is making a mockery of who God made them to be, men. Come back with me to Ephesians chapter 5. You’ll see this is plain English, this is the process.

Ephesians 5:20
"Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father (how?) in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;"
That’s the Scriptural instruction, but remember that the Jesus, the Son of man, in mans flesh nature remains where? and Paul says the same thing here in Colossians. Now looking at Colossians again.

Colossians 3:17
"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."
“By Him,” is the key here, our being one in and with the Lord Christ Jesus, because after all He’s the One that is our focus as the centeral theme of all this Bible has to reveal. And is at the right hand of the Father, He’s the One that’s the Advocate, He’s the One that is the Intercessor, our Mediator and it only makes common sense that His Spirit reigns supreme in me as He does in you. In fact another verse comes to mind in 1Timothy chapter 2 which expresses our knowing “the knowledge of this Truth.” Again it’s a good admonition for all of us.

1Timothy 2:1-5
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings (our government), and for all that are in authority (the pastor and teacher as the guardians of your souls), that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honestly. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God (Christ) our Savior. Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"
Oh aren’t you glad you don’t have to go through a priest, or a religion, but you have clear access into the throne room. Oh boy, let’s come back to Colossians. And we will wind up Colossians , we'll ask folks to just read chapter 4, because it has a lot of greeting in it, but now Paul has one more strong admonition for the family in verse 18, before we move into chapter 4.

Colossians Study Outline

The Cross Abolished all Legalism in ordinances in the Law of Mosesand the forefathers standards built on their traditions.

There is no need for Christians to go through life without having peace and rest in God.

Colossians 3:15b

"…to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."
See here it is again, the Body of Christ, counted in the “one” of 2Corinthians 5:14-15, which all believers of Paul’s Gospel are a part of. The same ones that Jesus spoke of in John's synoptic gospel in chapter 10 verses 16 and 27. With these verses there is one over looked which is verse 26 which states this: “But you believe not, because you are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.” This also agrees with what was stated earlier dealing with the word from Jeremiah 4 :14 and 18. Many have pointed a finger of displeasure and quite frankly disapproval of me because I with a few others proclaim a selective and limited or restrictive Gospel based on our understanding of God and His Word. I see the entry into God's kingdom as a very narrow passage through which many are not willing to pass for many reasons. But the chief reason to me is just plan ignorance of God and His Word because there is no knowledge of Him to be found in them. For knoweldge leads to love and love leads to clean and clear fellowship in trust which brings about worship in spirit and truth.

Moving on to the two words “one” and “all”, now here is another one of those missed opertunities in the word “But” here used and here means, taken from Webster's 1828 Dictionary: “NOTWITHSTAND'ING, the participle of withstand, with not prefixed, and signifying not opposing; nevertheless. It retains in all cases its participial signification. For example, "I will surely rend the knigdom from you, and will give it to your servant; notwithstanding, in your days I will not do it, for David your father's sake." 1 Ki 11. In this passage there is an ellipsis of that, after notwithstanding. That refers to the former part of the sentence, “I will rend the kingdom from you; notwithstanding that (declaration or determination,) in your days I will not do it.” In this and in all cases, notwithstanding, either with or without that or this, constitutes the case absolute or independent. The reason that other sheep will not become the LORD'S is because they are not given to Him by the Father, as being part of the “But” or in our case not being part of the “all”. And now you know why I claim a selective Gospel message with the intent of bring people to a true and accurate knowledge of both God and Christ Jesus as they are indeed One. For the Spirit of Truth is my LORD as He is to be the LORD of all true Christ-like-ones or Christ-ones.

Colossians 3:16a
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;…"
I’ve got to take you back to chapter 1. I could take you also to Ephesians, but I’ll make it easy on you, so just turn back a page in Colossians to 1:9. This is Paul’s prayer on behalf of the Colossi believers.

Colossians 1:9-10
"For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, (that they had become believers) do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding:"
To be able to search the Scriptures and dig these things out, and put them into daily practice, because how many times have I said, "Christianity is the most practical thing on earth." And I mean that. Christianity is what makes people a good citizen. Christianity is what makes a person a good neighbor. Christianity makes a person a good parent. Christianity makes a person a good teenager, Christianity is what makes an honest person a good and true businessman. So all the way through Christianity is so practical. It’s not pie in the sky, or some foolishness over there, but just simple practical everyday living. And that’s what God is looking for. How is this reached by us? Through a working active knowledge and spiritual relationship in Christ Jesus and our New Life in Him and He through us in all wisdom and spiritual understanding with thanksgiving.

Colossians 1:10
"That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, (we don’t have to be like sandpaper to people who are around us. However they must also realize that we’re different than the world) being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;"
Oh listen, when I realized how ignorant that I was, I also realized how ignorant so many so-called “Christians” are. And how it must grieve the heart of God and His Holy Spirit that they haven’t learned of Him. After all it took me and mine over 40 years of deep frustration before I had a change of mindset too. Remember ignorance is not a lack of brain power, that has nothing to do with it. Ignorance is a lack of teaching or training in righteousness. Now that may be of our own free will, some don’t want to be taught, but many times it’s just simply they’ve never thought about it. But to be willingly ignorant of what the Scripture says, means that you simply don’t want to learn, so remember that. The old tired attitude of, it was good for grandpa and dad and it is therefore good for me, does not fly any longer. Or to study Israel as the bases of our knowledge flies in the face of God, because with it comes all those ceremonies, rites, rituals, customs and traditions and holidays including Sabbaths, the old standards that are now set aside. Why? Because they all pointed towards the day of the Lord, Christ Jesus as their fulfilment and consummation. People with this mindset will remain in darkness which is sin. They remain the people who make light of Christ because of the darkness of their hearts. God wants us all to increase in the Knowledge of His Word and Himself. To do so requires our willingness to set aside all other forms of mans religion with all of it imposed standards, doctrines, ordinances, and traditions. He, God in Jesus, died our death to free us from deaths grip in mans religion. Saul of Tarsus who became Paul because he to died to his fromer way in mans religion, a Jew, as a Pharisee's Pharisee is our example of this.
