I shall try to complete chapter 11, wherein Paul explains many of the hardships he and his team suffered to get the gospel of his assignment and it's revelation out. Today we face similar hardships as we are misunderstand as he and his team members were. But we can take heart in this because the Lord Jesus told us ahead of time that like him we also would suffer these things and more to the point of and including our own physical death. Okay, lets see what we shall see in the text, I might point one thing out, herein we fine that some Jewish "Christians" betrayed him.
2Corinthians 11:16-29, 31-12:10 "I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little. That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting. Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also. For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise. For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face. I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also. Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I. Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?
If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed(G2128) for evermore, knoweth that I lie not. In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me: And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands. It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth); How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, 'My grace is sufficient(G714) for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure(G2106) in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities(G318), in persecutions, in distresses(G4730) for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then I am(G1510) strong. " (KJV)
2Corinthians 11:16-29, 30-12:10 "I repeat, let no one think me foolish. But even if you do, accept me as a fool, so that I too may boast a little. What I am saying with this boastful confidence, I say not as the Lord would but as a fool. Since many boast according to the flesh, I too will boast. For you gladly bear with fools, being wise yourselves! For you bear it if someone makes slaves of you, or devours you, or takes advantage of you, or puts on airs, or strikes you in the face. To my shame, I must say, we were too weak for that! But whatever anyone else dares to boast of—I am speaking as a fool—I also dare to boast of that. Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they offspring of Abraham? So am I. Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one—I am talking like a madman—with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death. Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; in toils and hardships, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?
If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, he who is blessed(G2182) forever, knows that I am not lying. At Damascus, the governor under King Aretas was guarding the city of Damascus in order to seize me, but I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall and escaped his hands. I must go on boasting. Though there is nothing to be gained by it, I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord. I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows. And I know that this man was caught up into paradise—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— and he heard things that cannot be told, which man may not utter. On behalf of this man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses— though if I should wish to boast, I would not be a fool, for I would be speaking the truth; but I refrain from it, so that no one may think more of me than he sees in me or hears from me. So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient(G714) for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am(1510) strong." (ESV)
2Corinthians 11:16-29, 30-12:10 "Let me put it to you plainly, if I am already behaving foolishly in your opinion, would you please bear with me in this foolishness of my boasting! I am not saying, "the LORD says!" but allow me to say a few foolish things in my own defense! Since there are so many who are boasting according to the flesh, I might as well enroll in the competition! Your wisdom certainly equips you to grin and bear with this foolishness of others! The ability to perceive things from an elevated place of divine wisdom already gives you the advantage to bear with their insults. Their intent is obvious: all they wish to achieve is to bring you back into their bondage of their own Jewish legalism. They wish to abuse and devour you; their apparent attempts to raise themselves to your divine level are only to slap you in the face. Since Timothy and I did not take any part in their bravado at the time, it perhaps appeared to you as a weakness on our part. I know this might not make sense to you, but whatever extreme measure they pride themselves in, I can match! Every possible advantage they claim through their natural lineage, whether it be their Hebrew language, their Jewish identity or their connections to the patriarch Abraham himself, I can equal that! If you want to compare notes, I eclipse their claims as ministers of Christ. I speak from personal experience; none of them could compete with me when it comes to the extremities of wearisome labors endured: I was beaten up many times, frequently jailed, often face to face with death. To be more specific, I received the infamous forty lashes less one, five times from the Jews! Three time the Romans beat me up with sticks; once I was stoned and left for dead! Three times on my journeys I have been shipwrecked. I have been adrift at sea for a night and a day. My frequent travels have kept me on the road more than most people I know; I faced flooded rivers, I was attacked by robbers and encountered life threatening dangers from both Jews and Gentiles. Everywhere I turned I was confronted with great dangers, whether in the city, countryside or at sea. It seemed that there was no safe place left for me on the planet! Even amongst fellow Christians I was snared into controversy and betrayed! I was often extremely exhausted with a burdensome workload. The list goes on and on: I had many a sleepless nights; I was frequently forced to fast since I had nothing to eat or drink; I suffered extreme exposures in better cold conditions with nothing warm to wear. Beside the many external challenges I faced daily, I continuously cared for the churches in every place with all my heart. Don't talk to me about weaknesses and scandalous insults! I have been there and bought the T-shirt! The scandal of the cross ignites me with fervor!
My frailties are my claim to fame! GOD, the Father or our Lord Jesus Christ, has the full panorama of my life and testimony. In Jesus the ages concluded in beautiful logic! He is the ultimate reason of the universe! (The word, [1,G2182 from G2127 from a compound of G2095 and G3056] eulogetos is often translated, blessing, is from (G2095) eu, beautiful or well done and (G3056) logos, meaning word, thought or logic. [While "promise" is from G1860 from G1861 from G1909 and the base of G32) epaggelia, to announce, is from (G1909) epi, is a primary preposition properly meaning superimposition, and (G32) aggelos, meaning a messenger And the OT Hebrew of H1697, dâbâr, a matter spoken of, is from H1696, dâbar, meaning to teach.]) Oh yes, and here is another bit of adventure: while in Damascus the governor under King Aretas set up a military guard in the city of Damascus to hunt me down and arrest me. I escaped through a window in the cities wall, having been let down in a basket! (Acts 9:25) It would be inappropriate for me to boast about anything as though I achieved it by my own doing! My confident persuasion in what I have received by revelation of the LORD is not to be confused with arrogance! I know of an encounter in Christ fourteen years ago now, where a person was translated into the third heaven. Only GOD knows whether it was in or out of the body; it does not really matter to me! This person was caught up into paradise! There he heard words that could not be articulated into common language; he understood a conversation that did not [1]originate in human thought! (The word, [1,G1832 exesti, from a third person singular present indicative of a compound of G1537 and G1510] or exousia, has two components, (G1537) ek, a preposition pointing to the origin of something, and (G1510) eimi, I am, in this case Paul refers to who I am as a human being.) Of this encounter I will confidently boast because it has nothing to do with anything that I did to promote myself! I would rather glory in that which emphasizes my failure to get it right by myself! Divine revelation is a gift, not a reward! Even though I have legitimate reasons to boast, I prefer not to. My life speaks for itself and I have nothing to hide! (Look at 1Corinthians 4:10-14 and 2Corinthians 6:4-8) In sharp contrast to these spiritual revelations, the physical pain that I suffered and my severe discomfort momentarily distracted me. It was as if the old mindset of accusation (Satan) persuaded me that this affliction was actually GOD's way of keeping me humble. (Note that it was not a Messenger from GOD, but from the deceiver (Satan)! The word, (G4567 Hebrew origin H7845) satanas, means accuser! By these revelations of extreme proportions and consequence Paul understood that we are indeed co-seated together with Christ in heaven places. In his resurrection he already elevated us beyond any claim of accusation. Look at Hosea 6:2 and Ephesians 2:5-6. We cannot get any more elevated into the bliss of our redeemed innocence than discovering our joint-seatedness with Christ in the Throne room! Colossians 3:1-3.) I almost believed this lie and even implored the LORD three times to remove the thron from my flesh. Finally it dawned on me that grace is GOD's language; he doesn't speak "thorn-language!" He said to me, 'My grace [1]elevates you, to be fully content.' And now, instead of being overwhelmed with a sense of my own weakness, he overwhelms me with an awareness of his strength! Oh what [2]bliss to rejoice in this fact, of truth that in the midst of my frailties I encounter the dynamics the grace of GOD to be my [3]habitation! (The word, [1,G714 from G142] arkeo, content, stems from the word (G142), airo, which means to elevate. The word, [2] hedista, is from hedeos, meaning pleasure. The word, [3] episkenoo has two components: epi, continual influence upon and skenoo, to encamp, to reside in a tent; the noun, skenos reminds of the English word skin! Paul suggests that GOD's grace fits you like a skin! One feels most at home in the consciousness of his grace! [My own limited understanding of Greek kept me from locating the Greek words referenced.]) I now enjoy a [1] delightfully different frame of mind when I encounter things that would normally make me feel frail, whether it be from insults or when I am in situations where [2]I'm forced to do things with my arms twisted behind my back; whether I am persuaded or feel squeezed into [3]claustrophobic spaces. because of Christ, every time that I encounter weakness I escape into the strength of my [4]I am-ness! (The word, [1,G2106 from G2095 and G1380] eudokeo is a compound word from, (G2095) eu, well done, beautiful, and (G1380) dokeo, to form an opinion. The word, [2,G318 from G303 and the base of G43] anagke to bend the arm like when your arm is locked behind your back, where your own efforts to clear or save yourself are completely neutralized. The word, [3,G4730 from a compound of G4728 and G5561] stenochoria , means a narrowness of place. The word, [4,G1510] eimi, is the verb, I am.) (The Mirror)
Now I know that we have covered allot of ground but I think the benefit our shines the moment or two of time required to ready this. Now may the LORD our GOD give you and your his bliss.
The revealing of the Revelation and the mysteries in the Light of the Gospel of the risen Lord Jesus Christ as given to Paul the Apostle to the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel. As contained in the letters of Paul, to the Romans on through Philemon and the letter of persuasion written to the Hebrews. A Bible study and other insights. So we should get off that milk bottle. We have to tell those who find us and begin to read the posts to throw the milk bottle away.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 2Corinthians 11:12; the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
Picking up where we left off with Paul's revealing the false Apostles of his day and time, but we today can include not only false Apostles but Prophets and the whole system of religion in his scenario. Let's get on with it shall we. For within our text we find a surprise or two.
2Corithians 11:12-15 "But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan(G4567) himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." (KJV)
2Corinthians 11:12-15 "And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan(G4567) disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds." (ESV)
2Corinthians 11:12-15 "The way I do things exposes the agendas of others who claim that we are in the same team! They are obviously operating under the deceitful disguise of an Apostleship with a hidden agenda! They are certainly not Apostles of Christ. It shouldn't be a surprise since the [1]Accuser often comes camouflaged as a bearer of light! (The word, [1,G4567, origin is H7845] satanos means the accuser. The dispensationial period of the Law is the ministry of accusation.) Therefore it is no big deal if his associates in ministry would claim to also teach righteousness under the disguise of grace, while their message clearly promotes a righteousness based on their own works and not upon the finished work of Christ!" (The Mirror)
Until our visit where we shall look into Paul's sufferings as an Apostle, may our LORD and GOD be within us all in the power of the resurrection.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 2Corinthians 11:1; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
Well now, Paul is about to reveal the false Apostles, but we can include all religions of this world order as many of today are finding out. So let see what he has to say. And then as become our custom we shall look again with clear eyes and unblurd thought.
2Corinthians 11:1-7, 8-11 "Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent(G3789) beguiled(G1818) Eve through his subtilty(G3834), so your minds should be corrupted(G5351) from the simplicity(G572) that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles. But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.
Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely? I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service. And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself. As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop(G4972) me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia. Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth." (KJV)
2Corinthians 11:1-7, 8-11"I wish you would bear with me in a little foolishness. Do bear with me! For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. But I am afraid that as the serpent(G3789) deceived(G1818) Eve by his cunning(G3834), your thoughts will be led astray(G5351) from a sincere and pure devotion(G572) to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. Indeed, I consider that I am not in the least inferior to these super-apostles. Even if I am unskilled in speaking, I am not so in knowledge; indeed, in every way we have made this plain to you in all things.
Or did I commit a sin in humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached God's gospel to you free of charge? I robbed other churches by accepting support from them in order to serve you. And when I was with you and was in need, I did not burden anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my need. So I refrained and will refrain from burdening you in any way. As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine will not be silenced(G4972) in the regions of Achaia. And why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!" (ESV)
2Corinthians 11:1-7, 8-11 This might sound a little foolish, but please bear with me! I feel a divine jealousy for you that you might [1]pine away through the [2]illusion of separation from Christ and that, just like Eve, you might become [3]blurry-eyes and [4]deceived into believing a lie about yourselves. The temptation was to exchange the truth about our completeness (I am) with the idea of incompleteness (I am not) and shame; think that perfection required your toil and all manner of wearisome labor! (The word, [1,G5351] phteiro, means to pine or waste away, to whither. Any idea of separation causes one to whither away in loneliness! The word, [2,G572 from G573 from G1 and the base of G4120] haplotes is from (G1) hama, a particle of union, and (G4120) pleko, to braid or plait together; sometimes translated, simplicity or unmixed. Look at James 1:5 where we find, entwined eyes. The Greek word, [3,G3789 from G3700] ophis, is translated serpent and comes from (G3700) optomai, to gaze, in this case, to present a visual idea through illusion. The word, [4,G1818 from G1537 and G538] exapatao , is from (G1537) ek , source+ (G538) apateo, meaning apathy, as the source of deception, to be without faith, believing a lie about yourself! Hebrews 4:6, "Israel died in the wilderness because of their unbelief." [Both Adam and Israel believed a lie about themselves. (And throughout history this lie has been perpetuated, passed out to each generation of humanity.)] In Numbers 13:33, Joshua 2:11-12, 2Corinthians 4:4] The word, [5,G3834 from G3835 from G3956 and G2041] panourgia , is from(G3956) and G2041) the words, pas, meaning all, and(G2041) ergon, work or toil, where your entire existence is reduced to wearisome labor. This word is often translated, cunning or craftiness. Look at 2Corinthians 4:2, "We have renounced hidden agenda [employing a little bit of the Law in an attempt to "balance" out grace]; we have distanced ourselves from any obscure craftiness to manipulate GOD's word/promises, to make it/them mean what it/they does not say!" ) You will know by the echo within you whether the Jesus someone else preaches is the same Jesus we proclaim to you. You will recognize the same spirit; if it is a different spirit, it is not the same gospel! Why would you politely put up with deception, even if it comes packaged in prominent names and titles! I am not inferior by any calculation to the "Apostles" so highly ranked in your estimation! I am not here to entertain you with my public speaking skills, or to impress you with [1]me, but to impress you with you! It is not in the plausible sounding words of my conversation, it is in what I know to be true about you. This is clearly evident in all of our dealings with you. ( Look at 1Corinthians 2:4, "My message was not with persuasive arguments based on secular wisdom, since my aim was not to point people to me but rather to the powerful working of the Spirit in them." Thayer's Greek definition of [1,G585 from G584] apodeiknumi is to point away from oneself. Previous translations of this word have often given the impression that the great, miracle-working man of GOD would steal the show and entertain the masses! This was so unlike Jesus and Paul! Paul never writes about how many people he healed and brought to faith. His all-consuming concern was that the eyes of our understanding would be illuminated with the revelation of our own redemption leading us to salvation. Note 2Corithinas 10:10 {RSV}, "For they say, 'Paul's letters are weighty and strong, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech of no account.'") Something doesn't seem to match here -- am I humbling myself in order to elevate you by not putting a price tag on my preaching of GOD's gospel? Am I presenting a distorted picture?
It seems to me that you are taking it for granted that other churches sponsored my ministry to you! Even while I was with you I did not burden you with my personal needs, but received provision from my Macedonian friends. I have no intent to ever be a burden to you! The integrity of my ministry is [1]endorsed by Christ in me and not by human opinion; the same goes for my confident joy even in the regions of Achaia! (The word, [1,G4972 from G4973] sphragizo, to set a mark upon by the impression of a seal or a stamp. Achaia was that part of Greece of which Corinth was the capital.) How is it possible for you to think that i do not love you? GOD knows my heart!" (The Mirror)
Now all I can ask is for all to consider what has been revealed as our measuring rod herein. Now may our LORD and GOD bless you and your in the days and weeks ahead.
2Corinthians 11:1-7, 8-11 "Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 2Corinthians 10:12; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
I am going to use the first bits of the first line of our next passages as my introduction. We are not contesting with those who desire to commend themselves, while they compete and compare notes with one another and by this completely miss the point of this gospel! It is not that we consider ourselves better or anything like that no not at all! It is only this, it is part of my own calling that drives me on. My call, of autumn of 1971, of the LORD, is seen best in 2Timothy 4:2 of 1-4 where we have this in the ESV; "preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching." This caused me to withhold from any seeking to be among those who build churches and denominations. Instead I waited and waited for the LORD to do as he promised.
2Corinthians 10:12-18 "For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare(G4921) ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach(G2185) even unto you. For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ: Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly, to preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand. But "he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord." (taken from Jeremiah 9:34) For not he that commendeth himself is approved(G1384), but whom the Lord commendeth." (KJV)
2Corinthians 10:12-18 "Not that we dare to classify or compare(G4921) ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding. But we will not boast beyond limits, but will boast only with regard to the area of influence God assigned to us, to reach(G2185) even to you. For we are not overextending ourselves, as though we did not reach you. For we were the first to come all the way to you with the gospel of Christ. We do not boast beyond limit in the labors of others. But our hope is that as your faith increases, our area of influence among you may be greatly enlarged, so that we may preach the gospel in lands beyond you, without boasting of work already done in another's area of influence. "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord." (taken from Jeremiah 9:34) For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved(G1384), but the one whom the Lord commends." (ESV)
2Corinthians 10:12-18 "We are not contesting with those who desire to commend themselves! While they compete and compare with one another they competely miss the point; they fail to [1,G4921]comprehend our joint I-am-ness! To the denying their own righteousness! (The word, [1,G4921 from G4862 and G2476] suniemi, means a joining together like that of two streams; a fusion of thought.) Why boast in something you can take absolutely no credit for! The only valid measure that defines our lives and explains why we have [1,G2185]arrived on your doorstep with the gospel, is the one wherewith GOD has measured us in Christ. (One cannot measure temperature with a ruler. The word, [1,G2185 from G1909 and a cognate of G2240] ephikneomai , is from (G1909) epi, continual influence upon, and (G2240) heko, to have come, to have arrived, to be present. Look at Romans 6:14, "Sin was your master while the Law was your measure; now grace rules." [The Law revealed your slavery to sin; now grace reveals your freedom from it.] Also Romans 3:27, "The law of faith cancels the Law of works, which means there is suddenly nothing left for humanity to boast in. No one (or religion based on faith) is superior to another. Bragging only makes sense if there is someone or something to compete with or impress. "Through the righteousness of GOD we have received a faith of equal standing." Look at 2Peter 1:1 (RSV) "The OS (operating system) of the Law of works is willpower; while the OS of the law of faith is Agape. Galatians 5:6, Agape set faith in motion. The Law presented humanity with choices; grace awakens belief! Willpower exhausts, agape ignites! If choices could save us we would be our own Savior! Willpower is the language of the Law, Agape is the language of grace and glory that ignites faith that leads to romance; falling in love beats all "making a decision to believe in Agape!" Look at Romans 7:19.) Our ministry to you is proof that there are no geographic limitions that could possibly exclude you from the gospel of Jesus Christ! We are not competing with others for your membership; our vision for you is to see your faith mature into full harvest; this is our standard rule, we have no other expectation! To the same degree that your faith matures, our field among you is greatly increased! So if you desire to boast about anything, boast in the LORD! (Even as Jeremiah wrote in 9:23-24, "The LORD says: 'Let not the wise glory in their wisedom, let not the mighty glory in their might, let not the rich glory in their riches; but let the one who glories glory in this, that they have understanding and know me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast Agape, justice, and righteousness in the earth; for in these things i delight, says the LORD.'" ) The true [1,G1384] recipe for authentic ministry is not in clever marketing schemes; let the LORD promote you, he beats the best! (The word, [1,G1384 from G1380] dokimos means test, proof, accepted, particularly of coins and money.) (The Mirror)
Well we have completed this chapter so what lays ahead? More foolishness? I don't think so. Until our next visit may the LORD develop within you and yours an inner knowing of his grace and glory.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 2Corinthians 10:7; the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
We are looking into the restoration of humanity's original innocence of the glory of GOD as in the beginning. I say this by way of reminder of what the secret of Deuteronomy 29:29 and the mystery of the NT is all about. And just to keep all in order we are using the KJV, ESV and the Mirror Study Bible as our bases, each with as little as possible editing by the Spirit, I say as little because I do not to grieve her. Today's area of reference is short in length.
2Corinthians 10:7-11 "Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's. For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters. For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible. Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present." (KJV)
2Corinthians 10:7-11 "Look at what is before your eyes. If anyone is confident that he is Christ's, let him remind himself that just as he is Christ's, so also are we. For even if I boast a little too much of our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for destroying you, I will not be ashamed. I do not want to appear to be frightening you with my letters. For they say, "His letters are weighty and strong, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech of no account." Let such a person understand that what we say by letter when absent, we do when present." (ESV)
2Coritnhians 10:7-11 "Do you form your perceptions on mere face value? No one has a secret advantage in his of her claim of Christ; think again: each one belongs equally to him, despite appearances or whether they realize it or not! There is nothing superior in my confidence in who I am! GOD's gift to you wrapped up in me is not to intimidate you but to edify you! The intention of my letters is not to daunt you with eloquent words! Some are of the opinion that my letters are forceful, but my physical appearance is feeble and I am not much of a public speaker. I assure you that the words my Epistle communicate in my absence, are confirmed in my day to day lifestyle." (The Mirror)
Now what I did not say in my introduction is this, the Mirror as a base is written of the revelation of Christ standpoint and from that a new view point of having the mindset of GOD in Christ-likeness. This the Bible translators left out of their translations and word use, was ignored or outright changed, depending on which religious preference backed their translation operation. For example if it was Catholicism it leaned toward repentance as a means to sell penitence's at a cost for their coffers. And a host of made-up doctrines to keep people in darkness behind the veil (slumber) as Israel was and is. Okay, lets move on with clear eyes and thought, in the revelation of Christ given to his family, the church united in his death, resurrection and ascension. May our LORD and GOD richly bless you and your in your studies.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 2Corinthians 10:1; the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
The world systems of religion are resistant to the operations of GOD in his human form, known as humanity. This heard and seen both in Jesus and later in his disciples among whom Paul is to be numbered along with those who sat and now sit under him. His character as a Pharisee is changed to be one of GOD's shining stars, lights of his glory and grace. Now for chapter ten of 2Corinthians, wherein we learn of man without glory and his vices and weaknesses of the flesh, double mindedness, instability, slanderous, a liar, a person of vane imagination, corrupt in all they say and touch, to name but a few of sins powers. Certainly without the grace and glory of GOD within them, men of greed and believers of the lie.
2Corinthians 10:1-6 "Now I Paul myself beseech(G3870) you by the meekness and gentleness(G1932) of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you: But I beseech(G1189) you, that I may not be bold when I am present(G3918) with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of (fleshly) strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity(G163) every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having(G2192) in a readiness(G2092) to revenge(G1556) all disobedience(G3876), when your obedience is fulfilled." (KJV)
2Corinthians 10:1-6 "I, Paul, myself entreat(G3870) you, by the meekness and gentleness(G1932) of Christ—I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold toward you when I am away!— I beg(G1198) of you that when I am present(G3918) I may not have to show boldness with such confidence as I count on showing against some who suspect us of walking according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy (fleshly) strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive(G163) to obey Christ, being(G2192) ready(G2092) to punish(G1556) every disobedience(G3876), when your obedience is complete." (ESV)
2Corinthians 10:1-6 "So here I am, Paul, somewhat shy when I am face to face with you, but, according to some rumors, my courage borders on arrogance in my absence. I [1,G3870]address you from this place where there is no distance; our authentic identity is referenced in gentleness and [2,G1932]Christlikeness. (The word, [1,G3870 from G3844 and G2564 with a base of G2753] parakaleo , which we have seen before comes from (G3844) para , a preposition indicating close proximity, a thing proceeding from a sphere of divine influence, and (G2564) kaleo , meaning to be identified by name, to surname. The word, [2,G1932 from G1933, from G1909 and G1503] epeikeia, is from (G1909) epi, a continual divine influence upon, and (G1503) eiko, to be like, to resemble.) I am [1,G1189]cautious not to come across arrogantly when I am [2,G3918]present with you. Yet I am extremely confident before those who accuse me of conducting myself in a mere carnal manner. (The word, [1,G1189 middle voice of G1210] deomai, to desire, comes from (G1210) deo, to bind; the word [2,G3918] pareimi refers to the close proximity of the source of my I-am-ness.) The fact that we are living in a physical world in human bodies of flesh does not mean that we engage ourselves in a combat dictated to by the typical "tit-for-tat" strategies of the worlds foolish religions and politics of the day. The dynamics of our strategy is revealed in GOD's ability to disengage mindsets and preconceived perceptions that hold people captive in pseudo fortresses for centuries! Every lofty idea (imagination) and false perception brings argument positioned against the knowledge of GOD is cast down and exposed to be a mere invention of our own imagination. We [1,G163]arrest every thought that could possibly trigger any opposing threat to our redeemed identity and innocence (righteousness) at spear point! The calibre of our weapons is most empowered by the revelation of the ultimate consequence of the obedience that is ours in Christ. (The obedience of Christ dwarfs the effect of the disobedience of Adam into insignificance! Look at Romans 5:12-21. The word, [1,G163 from G164] aichmalotizo, is from (G164) aichme, spear and (G259) halosis, to capture, thus to arrest at spear point.) Our ears are fine tuned to [1,G2192]echo the voice of [3,G1556]likeness that resonates within us. We are [2,G2092]acquainted with the articulate detail of the [4,G3876]authentic language of our origin. (The word, [1,G2192] echo, means to hold or embrace; the word [2,G2092] hetoimos , is from an old noun heteos (fitness) which means adjusted, made ready, prepared. The word, [3,G1556 from G1558 from G1537 and G1349] ekdikeo, is from (G1537) ek, denoting (G1349) origin+dike, two parties finding likeness in each other. The word, [4,G3876 from G3878, from G3844 and G191] parakoe, is from(G3844) para, meaning originating from (G191), + akouo, to hear.) (The Mirror)
Now with this short study we have found that glory with grace restored to humanity brings an every increasing awareness of GOD within us. So we have what both those of politics and religion withhold and resist to the determent of GOD's humanity. Until our next visit may our LORD and GOD increase within you and yours ability to hear his voice as in our origin.
(KJV)

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 2Corinthians 9:6; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
We are looking into the glory of GOD likeness re-genesis, along with grace within us, as we learn more of him who brought it into restorations working by his and our co-resurrection and co-ascension to the very place of our beginning, that being seated with GOD the Spirit and the LORD, as seen in Genesis 1:26-78. Where we find this in the ESV, "Then God (being of the Spirit and calls those things that be not as though they already are) said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.' So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them (without form, invisible spirits of the word/promise, as of yet). And God blessed them. And God said to them (of His Spirit), 'Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.'" Okay, now we can get into our study and notice once again the term Paul uses when speaking of his followers.
2Corinthians 9:6-15 "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth(G4255) in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful(G2431) giver. And God is able(G1415) to make all grace abound(G4052, G3956, G5485) toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency(G841) in all things, may abound(G4052) to every good work: (As it is written [by David in Psalm 112:9], "He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever." Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness(G572), which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution(G2842) unto them, and unto all men; And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift." (KJV)
2Corinthians 9:6-15 "The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided(G4255) in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful(G2431) giver. And God is able(G1415) to make all grace abound(G4052, G3956, G5485) to you, so that having all sufficiency(G841) in all things at all times, you may abound(G4052) in every good work. As it is written[by David in Psalm 112:9], "He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever." He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous(G572) in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution(G2844) for them and for all others, while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!" (ESV)
2Corinthians 9:6-15 "We are all familiar with the natural law that says, "Stingy sowing will always reflect in the harvest; so does liberal sowing!" Every individual must [1,G4255]thoroughly think this through in their own heart, not with thoughts of possible regret or out of a legalistic sense of duty! The agape-love of GOD inspires extravagance of [2,G2431]hilarious proportions! (The word, [1,G4255 from G4253 and G138] proaireomai, means to take full inventory; the Greek word [2,G2431 from the same as G2436] hilaros in from the stem word (G2436) hileos which means cheerful, attractive.) It is impossible to exaggerate the [1,G4052, G3956, G5485 ]dimension and detail of the grace of GOD! Plunge into the [2,G4052]extravagance of grace where he exhibits the extreme [3,G1415]dynamics of his bountiful dealings with us! We are already advantaged [2]far beyond any calculation of personal merit to be completely [4,G841]self sufficient at all times in every possible situation that we may face! The overflowing thereof amply supplies the needs of others in many creative ways to do good! (In Paul's estimate, grace and glory though not mentioned, cannot be exaggerated! He bursts into eloquent grace and glory language in an attempt to explain the extremities of GOD's goodness. He strings together one superlative after the other in order to reinforce the all-inclusive and conclusive workings of grace and glory evidenced within us! With the word [3,G1415 from G1410] dunatei, he speaks of the powerful dynamic of GOD, which is a word and a late tense that Paul inverts from the word dunamos! Only he uses it and repeats it 3 times in his Epistles. In the word, [1,G4052, G3956, G5485 ] pasan charin, Paul includes every detailed aspect of grace (G4052 perisseuō, means to superabound, from G4053 from G4012; G3956 pas, means whole; G5485 charis, is from G5463 means exceeding graciousness, with great joy); then he uses the verb, [2,G4052 from G4053] perisseuo, which means to exceed some number, measure, rank or need; to go over the limits, beyond and above, more than is necessary. Paul employs this verb in the Aorist Infinitive tense, of perisseusai, which indicates prior completion of an action in a relationship to a point in time. Greek infinitives could have either a present or an Aorist form. The contrast between the two forms have nothing to do with time. It is a difference of aspect. The present Infinitive was used to express progressive or imperfective aspect. It pictures the action expressed by the verb as being in progress. It presents the action expressed by the verb as a completed unit with a beginning and end. This is an important point since many translations of this verse suggest that GOD's ability to make all grace abound towards us can only be in response to something we must first do in order to trigger GOD into action! Our doing good is simply the overflow of his good work within us! The word, [4,G841 from G842, from G846 and G714] autarkes, is translated self sufficient; it is the feeling you have when you are completely satisfied with yourself. This word is only used here, and in Philippians 4:11 and in 1Timothy 6:6. the use of this word shows Paul's acquaintance with Stoicism. he takes this word from Greek philosophy and applies it to the revelation of our completeness of the life of our design restored in us! Paul lived his life in touch with this place within himself! He discovered that the same I-am-ness that Jesus walked in, was mirrored in him as well! I am what I am by the grace (ability) of GOD!) Here is David's take on liberty and extravagant giving: in Psalm 112:9 he says, "He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness consistently triumphs even in challenging times." The inventor of seed and bread is also the one who supplies and multiplies your resources and increases the harvest of yor righteousness! (Here Paul reminds us of Isaiah 55:10-11, "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and return not but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so will my word (promises) be that goes forth from my mouth; it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish that which i have purposed, and it will prosper in the thing for which i sent it." ) You are mutually enriched in every possible sense of the word and [1,G572]inseparably joined to one another in an undivided heart, without any hidden agendas. And together we, the conduit of your gifts, will set the stage for a joyous grace celebration to GOD! (The word, [1,G572 from G573 from G1 and the base of G4120] haplotes, is from (G1) hama, which is a particle of union and(G4120) pleko, braided or entwined, suggests an undivided heart.) This is such a win-win situation: not only are the Saints endorsed in their "I-am-ness" through this most practical translation of your generousity, but it also causes an aboundant overflow of great gratitude to GOD as the testimony of his goodness finds tangible expression in your gifts! And so the ripple effect continuses! The gospel you communicate has found a very articulate voice in your giving and produces a rich harvest of glory to GOD. Your union with them further communicates the all-in-clusive nature of the [1,G2842] koinonia we all participate in. (The word, [1,G2842 from G2844] koinonia means to participate in, to fellowship.) Can you imagine how your aboundant generosity to them has tied them to you with deep affection in their prayers for you! Gratitude is the language of grace! Your giving has given a voice to his gift, beyond words!" (The Mirror)
With our next visit, the LORD willing we shall begin a look into chapter 10. And again may the LORD increase your insight of understanding of his grace and glory in you and yours.
