Sabbath
desecration is our next subject area and it is found in John 9:16
where Jesus had just healed a man that had been blind from his birth (this is symbolic of all mankind and especially the Hebrew children under the Priests of Judaism, which had become a defiled religion of man),
to get the flow I'll beging with verse 13 through 17:
“They
brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. And
it was the Sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his
sight. He said to them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and
do now see. Therefore some of the Pharisees said, This
man is not of God, because He keeps not the Sabbath day.
Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And
there was a division among them. They said to the blind man again,
What say you of Him, that He has opened your eyes? He said, He is a
prophet.” Today a Prophet has this ablilty: in the assemblies of the Christians, they are moved by the Holy Spirit to speak, having power to instruct, comfort, encourage, rebuke, convict, and stimulate, their hearers with the Spirit of God, who by God’s authority and command in words of weight pleads the cause of God and urges salvation of men.
Each
and every wonder or miracle that GOD did through the person of His
Son was to reveal His, GOD'S presence among men. A sign of the power
of His Truth and Grace in the person of Jesus which John in chapter 1
also reveals. What was so diffent about Jesus besides the fact that
within Him GOD was housed, He revealed just how GOD'S Faithfulness
works. It works through Love and Grace as Grace is the benefit of the
benefitactor. When in its porper operation and operating atmosphere
it will move mountains, it will even grow in strength like a oak
tree. But we are dealing here with the Sabbath rest to see the
beginning of this rest I'll have to go to Genesis 2 after the six
days of creation took place and before GOD creates the body of clay
into which mans spirit and soul are housed. Genesis
2:1-5
“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of
them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made;
and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in
it He had rested from all His work which God created and made. These
are
the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were
created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
and every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every
herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it
to rain upon the earth, and there
was
not a man to till the ground.” GOD had not yet formed, fashioned man
from the clay of the ground, but none the less man as a spirit was
present as seen in chapter 1:26-28 which states this, “God said,
Let us make man in Our Image, after Our Likeness: and let them have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and
over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping
thing that creepeth upon the earth. So
God created man in His Image,
in the Image of God created He him; male and female created He them
(in
other words man and woman was without form and invisable a spirit
being in GOD'S own Image and Likeness).
And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful, and
multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion
over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over
every living thing that moves upon the earth.” This is the realm
that Jesus Himself moved around in while here as the visible
manifeastation of the invisible GOD. This is key to our understanding
of all scripture and the blood of man which has the life in it (when we see that man became a living soul). This
happened in verses 6 and 7 of Genesis 2 when GOD formed man and
breathed the spirit into this clay figure and it became a living
being / soul. This soul contained the Spirit of GOD within it
conjoined to mans spirit as one in Spirit.
