The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in Hebrews 9:15; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

We are well into our examination of the reason for a New Covenant. Ours is a far better Covenant than they had in the old dispensation under the Jewish Levitical Law. And why this is, we looking into it with some detail by way of comparison, because of the Hebrews writer, who many believe to be Paul, a simple man well versed in this Law. Because ours is established by the Blood of Christ (GOD in) Jesus. The OT name of Yeshuah, meaning Salvation, in our case humanity saved, redeemed, exonerated to our original innocence, by our Representative. In other words, GOD'S righteousness, another word for innocence. In verse 20 our writer uses another quote from the Old to express GOD'S intent once again.

Hebrews 9:15-22 "And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the (Levitical) Law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, saying (in Exodus 24:8), "This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you." Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the (sacred tent of meeting) tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the (Levitical) Law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." (KJV)

Hebrews 9:15-22 "Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant. For where a will is involved, the death of the one who made it must be established. For a will takes effect only at death, since it is not in force as long as the one who made it is alive. Therefore not even the first covenant was inaugurated without blood. For when every commandment of the (Levitical) Law had been declared by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, saying (in Exodus 24:8), "This is the blood of the covenant that God commanded for you." And in the same way he sprinkled with the blood both the tent (sacred tent of meeting) and all the vessels used in worship. Indeed, under the (Levitical) Law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins." (ESV)

Hebrews 9:15-22 "As [1]fully representing humanity, Jesus' death brought an end to the old (Levitical Priesthood and its rule of Law), and introduced the New Testament. He thus redeemed us from the transgressions recorded under the first Covenant and identified us as heirs; qualifying humanity to participate in the full inheritance of all that he obtained on humanity's behalf (this the secret of Christ in Jesus). (The concept of a [1, G3316 from G3319 mesos, middle, from G3326 meta, relations of participation or proximity]mediator, mesites, in this analogy, is not a go-between, as if Jesus had to change the Father's mind about humanity; it was our minds that needed to be persuaded! Jesus did not save humanity from GOD; he is fully GOD and fully man,,,,i.e. humanity; and in him humanity is most completely represented. Look at Galatians 3:20; also Hebrews 6:16-20 in our Mirror section.) For a will to take effect the person who made it must be dead. Before the testator dies the will is merely a future promise with no immediate benefit to anyone. Even the first Covenant required a death for its actualization; the blood of the animal sacrifice represented that death. After Moses uttered the detailed requirements of the (Levitical) Law in the hearing of all the people, he would take the blood of calves and of goats, mix it with water and, dipping a bunch of hyssop bound with scarlet wool into the blood-basin, sprinkled the blood on the scroll and upon the people. While performing this cleansing ritual, Moses would solemnly declare, "This is the blood of the covenant which GOD has made binding upon you." The same blood was then also sprinkled on the tent of meeting (tabernacle), and on all the furniture and ministry utensils. Thus, according to the (Levitical) Law, all purging was by means of blood; [1]forgiveness was specifically associated with the shedding of blood. (The idea of closure to the particular case was communicated in the death of an innocent victim. The blood symbolizes this currency. Look at 1Peter 1:18-19. The word translated forgiveness, or remission is the [1, G863 from G575] aphiemi, and is from (G575) apo, away from, and hieimi an intensive form of eimi, I am; thus forgiveness is in essence a restoring of one's true 'I-am-ness.' The injury, insult, shame, hostility or guilt would no longer define the individual.) (The Mirror, with editing)

Until our next meeting may the LORD richly bless you and yours with his divine presences within.
