Continuing with Our Eternal link to GOD in Christ as exposed by Him, the I AM. Part 5i.8c

Like with the last post wherein we looked at an Old Testament passage from Zechariah 4, I shall pull from another OT favorite this time from Ezekiel chapter 36 beginning at verse 32 where GOD says that He will place within humanity a new spirit. Now because Ezekiel was a Jew and a Prophet he addresses the Hebrews as Jews in other words they're the ones with a stony heart, as I have been pointing out this is another way of saying the beam or mote within humanity's perception of understanding the things clearly stated as Truth and backed up by Grace both the work of the Holy Spirit for the renewing our our own spirit, heart and soul which contains the image and likeness of our Creator given to all freely. Okay beginning at verse 32 with my targeted verses being 26-27. And remember who it is that is speaking...GOD! By the Spirit through Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 36:22-32 (26-27)  "'Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which you have profaned among the heathen, whither you went. And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which you have profaned in the midst of them; And the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, says the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them. And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; And you shall be My people, and I will be your GOD. I will also save you from all your uncleanness's: and I will call for the corn (seed), and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that you shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. Then shall you remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. Not for your sakes do I this, says the Lord GOD, be it known to you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.'"

Now for verses 26 and 27 in the KJV+: 26-27 "'A newH2319 heartH3820 also will I giveH5414 you, and a newH2319 spiritH7307 will I putH5414 withinH7130 you: and I will take awayH5493 (H853) the stonyH68 heartH3820 out of your flesh,H4480 H1320 and I will giveH5414 you a heartH3820 of flesh.H1320 And I will putH5414 My SpiritH7307 withinH7130 you, and causeH6213 you to walkH1980 inH854 My statutes,H2706 and you shall keepH8104 My judgments,H4941 and doH6213 them.'"

What is GOD speaking of here? He is speaking of the end of the age of the Old Testament and the beginning of the New Spirit age of Grace.

The first word of the Hebrew language H2319 Strong's translates as "new:" châdâsh   khaw-dawsh'
From H2318 {châdash   khaw-dash'  A primitive root; to be new; causative to rebuild: - renew, repair; this is Isaiah 53:5's healing H7495 by His stripes}; new: - fresh, new thing.

Our next word is the Strong's H3820 translated as "heart:" lêb   labe  A form of H3824 {lêbâb   lay-bawb'  From H3823; the heart (as the most interior organ); used also like H3820: -  + bethink themselves, breast, comfortably, courage, ([faint], [tender-] heart([-ed]), midst, mind, X unawares, understanding.}; the heart; also used (figuratively) very widely for the feelings, the will and even the intellect; likewise for the centre of anything: -    + care for, comfortably, consent, X considered, courage [-eous], friend [-ly], ([broken-], [hard-], [merry-], [stiff-], [stout-], double) heart ([-ed]), X heed, X I, kindly, midst, mind (-ed), X regard ([-ed)], X themselves, X unawares, understanding, X well, willingly, wisdom.

Next is the Strong's H7307 translated as "spirit:" rûach   roo'-akh  From H7306 {rûach   roo'-akh  A primitive root; properly to blow, that is, breathe; only (literally) to smell or (by implication perceive (figuratively to anticipate, enjoy): - accept, smell, X touch, make of quick understanding.}; wind; by resemblance breath, that is, a sensible (or even violent) exhalation; figuratively life, anger, unsubstantiality; by extension a region of the sky; by resemblance spirit, but only of a rational being (including its expression and functions): - air, anger, blast, breath, X cool, courage, mind, X quarter, X side, spirit ([-ual]), tempest, X vain, ([whirl-]) wind (-y).

Then we come upon the Strong's H5414 translates as "put:" nâthan   naw-than'  A primitive root; to give, used with great latitude of application (put, make, etc.): - add, apply, appoint, ascribe, assign, X avenge, X be ([healed, as in Isaiah 53:5]), bestow, bring (forth, hither), cast, cause, charge, come, commit consider, count, + cry, deliver (up), direct, distribute do, X doubtless, X without fail, fasten, frame, X get, give (forth, over, up), grant, hang (up), X have, X indeed, lay (unto charge, up), (give) leave, lend, let (out), + lie, lift up, make, + O that, occupy, offer, ordain, pay, perform, place, pour, print, X pull, put (forth), recompense, render, requite, restore, send (out), set (forth), shew, shoot forth (up). + sing, + slander, strike, [sub-] mit, suffer, X surely, X take, thrust, trade, turn, utter, + weep, X willingly, + withdraw, + would (to) God, yield.

Then we're faced with another of Strong's words H7130 translated as "within:" qereb   keh'-reb  From H7126 {qârab   kaw-rab'  A primitive root; to approach (causatively bring near) for whatever purpose: - (cause to) approach, (cause to) bring (forth, near), (cause to) come (near, nigh), (cause to) draw near (nigh), go (near), be at hand, join (as in union with), be near, offer, present, produce, make ready, stand, take.}; properly the nearest part, that is, the centre, whether literally, figuratively or adverbially (especially with preposition): - X among, X before, bowels, X unto charge, + eat (up), X heart, X him, X in, inward (X -ly, part, -s, thought), midst, + out of, purtenance, X therein, X through, X within self.

The next one is what Zachariah 4 was all about, it is here as it was there the Strong's H7307 translated as "Spirit:" rûach   roo'-akh  From H7306; wind; by resemblance breath, that is, a sensible (or even violent) exhalation; figuratively life, anger, unsubstantiality; by extension a region of the sky; by resemblance spirit, but only of a rational being (including its expression and functions): - air, anger, blast, breath, X cool, courage, mind, X quarter, X side, spirit ([-ual]), tempest, X vain, ([whirl-]) wind (-y). The importance of this word is capitalized upon by it's used twice within the thought here being stated. The rest is an explanation of our leading a Christ centered life, of the Holy Spirit within, of our original innocence of Genesis 2. Nothing of Scripture is ever new it is a repetition of the first law.
