Continuing with, Our Eternal link to GOD in Christ as exposed by Him, the I AM. Part 5i.5

With today's blog I want to take another deep look at Genesis 1:26-28, which in one of my study Bibles is marked as a complete thought and as I have stated it is like those of King David's found in the Psalms as one sitting among the Host of Heaven listening to Their discourse of discussion, this is what is born out by this Bibles authors by their separation of this as a thought, separated from the discourse of the Creation narrative which is the bases of chapter 1 through 2:3, where verse 4 picks up the creation after the "seventh day rest" of GOD. Verse 5 stating that there was no man found to till the ground nor had there been any rain to moisten, water the ground. Humanity was missing from this narrative and it flowed the seventh day narrative making it the eighth day. Remembering that the days had no name at that time just simple numbers of 28 or 30 in total. This determined by the moon and the sun's movement across the horizon. The Julian calendar did not come about until after Paul and Peter's death in 83 ADE. It using the pagan names of the stars formations and warriors of mythology under Constantine who claimed that Peter was the first Pastor/Pope of the Catholic faith, it being of his creation in an effort to win converted people to Catholicism and taxation.

Okay, now for the rest of the story of Genesis 1:26-28, we shall look at each word if necessary, first the KJV and then the KJV+ as an aid in this study: "GOD said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.' So God created man in His Own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them, and God said to them, 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.'"

Genesis 1:26-28 "GODH430 said,H559 'Let Us makeH6213 manH120 in Our image,H6754 after Our likeness:H1823 and let them have dominionH7287 over the fishH1710 of the sea,H3220 and over the fowlH5775 of the air,H8064 and over the cattle,H929 and over allH3605 the earth,H776 and over everyH3605 creeping thingH7431 that creepethH7430 uponH5921 the earthH776.' So GODH430 createdH1254 (H853) manH120 in His Own image,H6754 in the imageH6754 of GODH430 createdH1254 He him; maleH2145 and femaleH5347 createdH1254 He them. And GODH430 blessedH1288 them, and GODH430 saidH559 to them, 'Be fruitful,H6509 and multiply,H7235 and replenishH4390 (H853) the earth,H776 and subdueH3533 it: and have dominionH7287 over the fishH1710 of the sea,H3220 and over the fowlH5775 of the air,H8064 and over everyH3605 living thingH2416 that movesH7430 uponH5921 the earth.H776'"

Before we get started I want to point out that the Strong's does not supply a number for "Us," "Our" or the word "own" as used by the translators. Interesting. For that reason I have capitalized them.

Our first word which the translators chose to use is H430 giving it this meaning from the Strong's numbering index: 'ĕlôhı̂ym   el-o-heem'  Plural of H433 {'ĕlôahh    'ĕlôahh   el-o'-ah, el-o'-ah  (The second form is rare); probably prolonged (emphatically) from H410 ['êl   ale  Shortened from H352 {'ûl
ool  From an unused root meaning to twist, that is, (by implication) be strong; the body (as being rolled together) also powerful: - mighty, strength.}; Strength; As adjective mighty; especially the Almighty (but used also of any deity): - GOD, God (god), X goodly, X great, idol, might (-y one), power, strong. Compare names in “-el.”]; a deity or the deity: - GOD, God, god.}; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme GOD; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative: - angels, X exceeding, God (gods) (-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty (GOD, Elohiym, Father, LORD, Son the "o" and Spirit Holy, the "ahh." of H410. In our word the Son remains as is but the Spirit is "heem" or "hiym.").

Our next word H6213, translated as "make:" ‛âśâh   aw-saw'  A primitive root; to do or make, in the broadest sense and widest application: - accomplish, advance, appoint, apt, be at, become, bear, bestow, bring forth, bruise, be busy, X certainly, have the charge of, commit, deal (with), deck, + displease, do, (ready) dress (-ed), (put in) execute (-ion), exercise, fashion, + feast, [fight-] ing man, + finish, fit, fly, follow, fulfill, furnish, gather, get, go about, govern, grant, great, + hinder, hold ([a feast]), X indeed, + be industrious, + journey, keep, labor, maintain, make, be meet, observe, be occupied, offer, + officer, pare, bring (come) to pass, perform, practice, prepare, procure, provide, put, requite, X sacrifice, serve, set, shew, X sin, spend, X surely, take, X thoroughly, trim, X very, + vex, be [warr-] ior, work (-man), yield, use.

Then we come upon this word H120, translated as "man:" 'âdâm   aw-dawm'  From H119 {'âdam
aw-dam'  To show blood (in the face), that is, flush or turn rosy: - be (dyed, made) red (ruddy).}; ruddy, that is, a human being (an individual or the species, humanity, etc.): - X another, + hypocrite, + common sort, X low, man (mean, of low degree), person. (Being set apart from the animal world or kingdom. Of lower degree from his maker, but not as man's many religions reflect him to be. Which Jesus brought in as our being co-equal to, as He was a human-being, Clothed in our humanity, John 5:18, Philippians 2:6.)

Next comes the word H6754, translated as "image:" tselem   tseh'-lem  From an unused root meaning to shade; a phantom, that is, (figuratively) illusion, resemblance; Hence a representative figure, especially an idol: - image, mirror image of, vain shew.

Next we find the word H1823, translated as "likeness:" demûth   dem-ooth'  From H1819 {dâmâh   daw-maw'  A primitive root; to compare; by implication to resemble, liken, consider: - compare, devise, (be) like (-n), mean, think, use similitudes.}; resemblance; concretely model, shape; adverbially like: - fashion, like (-ness, as), manner, similitude.

Again as before when a matter is of great importance it is repeated again within a verse or two to stress it's importance, in this case it is the very next verse (26-27). So like Elohiym humanity is first and foremost spirit: (an invisible entity, which Jesus said was only known as a breeze that passes by, in John 3:8) within a body or a church family) which is otherwise an empty structure awaiting occupancy, Romans 8:9.

Paul, in Romans 12 verses 1-3 discloses our need for mercies, the taking up the cross, both on a daily bases and the renewing of the mind sometimes called the mind of Christ. All of which Jesus by His vicarious death brought about and into play through today. As we grow in the knowledge of Him having taken His yoke upon us, this giving us Oneness with Him. Keep in mind that Jesus spoke of Himself as being seed in John 12:23-24 where we find this: "Jesus answered them, saying, 'The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say to you, Except a corn (seed) of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.'" Remember that seed is generally stored in a dry place, often in a bag or some other such thing. He by so speaking introduces the seed meaning for all of Humanity is but seed (wheat) not sheep, be it true seed or tares, of the evil ones doing as spoken of in Matthew 13.
