I am still looking back over John chapter 17 when I come upon this statement in verse 21, beginning at verse 20 through 24, "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in US, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. The glory that You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one even as We are One, I in them and You in Me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that You sent Me and love them even as You love Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, may be with Me where I am, to see My glory that You have given Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world."
Now this strikes at no less than three areas of interest for me, these are Oneness, Union and Unity. It is these three that I will focus on for awhile the LORD willing. I may have touched on parts or even all of the material elsewhere but I want to focus on it again as it relates to us today who have received the Spirit of Christ. This point being our reality of fact, it should over time remove all the "if's" in us because of the following. The self-exposing word was, "If you obey My voice, and keep My covenant, then you will be...." Now, the new covenant has no conditions except to receive Christ, which is what we have done. That is all. Therefore we have fulfilled the only condition set upon us by the universe, which is love. When we deviate, and deviate we will, we all ways come back. So God's ultimate Covenant has no conditions and when the new covenant is given us in Hebrews 8, no conditions are with it. He says that He puts out the old covenant with its rules and conditions. For the law is a condition of do's and do not's. Where it states, "if you are, or do, something, then I'll do so and so.....," that means you are not in it and you will be if only you obey. Now GOD or as said elsewhere Christ finding fault with the old covenant, He says, "I'll make a New Covenant with the house of Israel." That is why the prophet Jeremiah said this as picked up in Hebrews 8; "This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, I will put My law in their hearts. I will be to them a GOD, they shall be to Me a people, they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD;' for they all shall know Me, from the least to the greatest." We are in a conditionless dimension, the heavenly dimension, as a kingdom, because we are it. We are it! No man need teach us to love the LORD, we all know Him, from the least to the greatest, this is the new Israel. This I have covered over the past 1200 plus posts on this blog and my other blog where I look at GOD has One Way for us all.
Now Our Oneness with the Father:
John 10:22-30, 31-39, 14:10, 17:11, 22 "At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around Him and said to Him (with sarcasm), "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." Jesus answered them (with authority), "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father's name bear witness about Me, but you do not believe because you are not among My sheep. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are One."
The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone Me?" The Jews answered him (with disgust of voice and attitude), "It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God." Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I said, you are gods'? If He called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken— do you say of Him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'? If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me and I am in the Father." Again they sought to arrest Him, but He escaped from their hands."
John 14:8-14, 15 "Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know Me, Philip? Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own authority, but the Father Who dwells in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me, or else believe on account of the works themselves. "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (our being restored to sonship as Sons a position of ownership or inheritance). If you ask Me anything in (through) My name, I will do it.
"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments."
John 17:6-19, 20-24 (Jesus is speaking) "I have manifested Your name to the people whom You gave Me out of the world. Yours they were, and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. (notice that Jesus here declares a fact of truth as being an active present tense having been accomplished before it has taken place, as seeing by faith) Now they know that everything that You have given Me is from You. For I have given them the words that You gave Me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. All Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, which You have given Me, that they may be one, even as We are One. While I was with them, I kept them in Your name, which You have given Me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Your word (of solemn promise), and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate Myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth."
John 17:20-24 "I do not ask for these only, but for those who will believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one, just as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in US, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. The glory (which removes the "if's" spoken of earlier) that You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one even as We are One, I in them and You in Me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that You sent Me and love them even as You love Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, may be with Me where I am, to see My glory that You have given Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world."
This confirms the name of Christ as known throughout the ancient history of the world as being that of GOD.
The revealing of the Revelation and the mysteries in the Light of the Gospel of the risen Lord Jesus Christ as given to Paul the Apostle to the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel. As contained in the letters of Paul, to the Romans on through Philemon and the letter of persuasion written to the Hebrews. A Bible study and other insights. So we should get off that milk bottle. We have to tell those who find us and begin to read the posts to throw the milk bottle away.

Continuing with Our Oneness with GOD
This writing should bring this short study to its assigned end....assigned end because it has been written and choreographed by GOD in eons past, as we saw with the lamb being crucified before the foundations of the world were laid. Genesis 1 bears this out because it rehearses man as spirit being with GOD before creation, but sadly many do not see it or even hear what it reveals because their perception is blocked by the corruption of flesh. That is why we must be born again and filled by GOD of His Holy Spirit through Whom all things become to us new, meaning that your name remains in the book of life. Now for our next few titles of interest, of which there are three in number. Now some may say that I have taken liberties of change in some passages but keep this in mind I am led of the LORD in all things of spirit which these passages themselves witness too. Also bear this out within yourselves the revelation of Christ within us. All of this is born out in John's synoptic gospel of chapter 17, in the LORD's Prayer, which changes the course of mans history by GOD's transformation. Here is a breakdown of Israel and Emmanuel, Ihs is man as is Emman, and rel and el are God, put them together we have God in man or Jesus the house of GOD-Christ. Or Jesus the Spirit man after His baptism which brought the Spirit or GOD to dwell in Him making Him from then on Christ the Father's name.
Prepared for service:
Luke 1:8-17 and Acts 15:14 "Now while he (Zacharias the father of John who became the baptizer) was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, according to the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the LORD and burn incense. And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense. And there appeared to him an angel (the Spirit) of the LORD standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he will be great before the LORD. And he must not drink wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the LORD their God, and he will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready for the LORD a people prepared."
Acts 15:12-21 "All the assembly fell silent (Peter standing before this council now slanted because of his words), and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles. After they finished speaking, James replied, "Brothers, listen to me. Simeon has related how God first visited the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written, "'After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it, that the remnant of mankind may seek the LORD, and all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the LORD, who makes these things known from of old.' (in Amos 9) Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God, but should write to them to abstain from the things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what has been strangled, and from blood. For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues."
Characterized by zeal:
Titus 2:11-14, 15 "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing (redemption and then His) salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live (by the Spirit within) self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession who are zealous for good works.
Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you."
The law written upon our heart: (This next passage could be labeled a Better Ministry)
Hebrews 8:1-13, 1Peter 2:9 and Revelation 21:3 "Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, a minister in the Holy places, in the true tent that the LORD set up, not man. For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; thus it is necessary for this priest also to have something to offer. Now if HE were on earth, HE would not be a priest at all, since there are priests who offer gifts according to the law. They serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things. For when Moses was about to erect the tent, he was instructed by God, saying, "See that you make everything according to the pattern that was shown you on the mountain." But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant He mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion (a necessity) to look for a second. For HE finds fault with them when HE says: "Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel (Ihs-rels) and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not continue in My covenant, and so I showed no concern for them, declares the LORD. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel (Ihs-rel, men who have returned to GOD as His position) after those days, declares the LORD: I will put My law (of love and faith, in grace and truth) into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they shall all know ME, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more." In speaking of a new covenant, HE makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away."
1Peter 2:9-10 "For you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence's of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy."
Revelation 21:1-4 "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from GOD, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of GOD is within man. He will dwell within them, and they will be His people, and GOD Himself will be within them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

Continuing with Our Oneness with GOD
Before continuing on I want to look back by way of review at John 10 and verses 14 through 16 which states this by our Lord Jesus, "I am the good shepherd. I know My own and My own know Me, just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd." With this in our last post I began with John 17 verse 10 in which we have this statement, "All Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them." From this point we are looking at who we are to become in the knowledge of the LORD of lords. Now when we take all that our Bible reveals to us be it the old standard of the KJV or another other translation out there remains one element required to bring the hidden to life. He being the Holy Spirit the author and authority of the Bible text no matter the version being used. For without Him the words are just words like any other book. And the mystery remains just that a mystery
(Det. 29:29, Mark 4:11, 22, Luke 8:17 and John 18:20) accept where Jesus reveals these things about Himself and the Father. There were men before Jesus' birth who fond Christ who never knew Jesus by this name, because all that they knew was Christ in His eternal being; Jesus is His human name. He, was not Jesus Christ before Bethlehem. He was always Christ through eternity, the anointed Son, and in God's sight always had been crucified and risen. The Bible says in that remarkable phrase in 1Peter 1:20 and Revelation 13:8, that He was "the lamb slain from the foundation of the world." So in God's eyes, where there is no time factor, He always has been the Savior, even before there was a world to be saved. It is from this stand point that we are to approach our studies of Him as asked of us all in Mat. 11:28-30 where this is fond, "Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Are you ready to) Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me (?), for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light."
Chosen by (Yehovah) Jehovah:
Deuteronomy 14:2 "For you are a people holy to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for His treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth."
Romans 12:1-3 "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned." (Titus 2:14 and 1Peter 2:9 as seen in our first study on this medication)
Exalted above all nations:
Deuteronomy 26:16-19 "This day the LORD your God commands you to do these statutes and rules. You shall therefore be careful to do them with all your heart and with all your soul. You have declared today that the LORD is your God, and that you will walk in His ways, and keep His statutes and His commandments and His rules, and will obey His voice. And the LORD has declared today that you are a people for His treasured possession, as He has promised you, and that you are to keep all His commandments, and that He will set you in praise and in fame and in honor high above all nations that He has made, and that you shall be a people holy to the LORD your God, as He promised." ( tied in here is 1Sam. 12:24 and Ps 29:11, and again we have 1Peter 2:5, 9 with Rev. 1:5-6)
Guided as a flock:
Psalm 78:40-53 and 100:1-3 "How often they rebelled against Him in the wilderness and grieved Him in the desert! They tested God again and again and provoked the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power or the day when He redeemed them from their foes, when He performed His signs in Egypt and His marvels in the fields of Zoan. He turned their rivers to blood, so that they could not drink of their streams. He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them, and frogs, which destroyed them. He gave their crops to the destroying locust and the fruit of their labor to the locust. He destroyed their vines with hail and their sycamores with frost. He gave over their cattle to the hail and their flocks to thunderbolts. He let loose on them His burning anger, wrath, indignation, and distress, a company of destroying angels. He made a path for His anger; He did not spare them from death, but gave their lives over to the plague. He struck down every firstborn in Egypt, the firstfruits of their strength in the tents of Ham. Then He led out His people like sheep and guided them in the wilderness like a flock. He led them in safety, so that they were not afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies."
Psalm 100:1-3 "Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into His presence with singing! Know that the LORD, He is GOD! It is He Who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture." (here we find John 17:3, 2Cor. 4:6, Gal. 4:8-9 and 1John 5:20 where we find the following)
1John 5:18-22, 21 "We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God, (it is God Who) protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him Who is true; and we are in Him Who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
Little children, keep yourselves from idols."
The LORD willing tomorrow when it comes I will endeavor to conclude this study.

Our Oneness with GOD
I have been thinking on what Jesus said in John 17 and relooked at this whole scripture to find a key verse or two that catches my attention. Now I rechecked my posts on the promises and related areas of scripture for more back ground on our being now counted One with God by God (Elohim, El, Yhwh) and other titles of His divine nature as known by the Hebrews and His prophets in eons gone by. The main one that stands out is the "LORD" sometimes used by the Bible translation writers. It is from this perspective that I now share a few of my findings for thought and consideration for all. The following are general references to our being God's people as hidden within the context of scripture. These having their origin in John 17:8-10 where we find this said, "For I have given them the words that You gave Me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are yours. All mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them."
A peculiar treasure:
Exodus 19:5-6, Titus 2:11-14 and 1Peter 2:4-8, 9-10 "Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, you shall be My treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel."
Titus 2:11-14 "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession who are zealous for good works."
1Peter 2:4-8, 9-10 "You come to Him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture: "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame." So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone," and "A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense." They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy."
Tomorrow the LORD willing I will continue with such things as our being a chosen by Yehovah, exalted above all nations and our being guided like a flock and much more.

Continuing with Sheep not of this fold
So far we have discovered GOD's plan and purpose for Jesus and that of humanity, is but one. That is to say to bring all back to Himself through the man Jesus. And His anointing of Him by His Holy Spirit making Him Christ and making All others One in Him and through Him to live out the promises and the abundant Life while here on earth being His students and thereby His witnesses. Now we have reached the largest stepping stone, the one that has seemed to cause the religious church world the greatest of consternation and unbelief. This chapter can be broken up into two sections, e first Jesus' High Priestly Prayer and the second His students or disciples in the world. Over the years I have said some sharp criticisms against the religious and religious institutions composed churches of the worldly and earthy sort holding millions upon millions who have chosen to walk in abstract poverty of spirit and thereby denying the Christ and becoming anti-Christ's just as revealed in the book of Christ's Revelation states would come about. There is one more thing to add I have not imposed the scripture links to other epistles that reveal the same thing shared to keep all clean and clearly focused on the subject at hand. I leave this to you to do while the LORD's Holy Spirits help and guidance. In Paul's writings are found the confirmation of Jesus' prayer. And before in Acts record the promise of the Father is realized by the giving of the Holy Spirit's indwelling of humanity at the moment of redemption. Now chapter 17 of John's synoptic gospel, again using the ESV translation.
Jesus' High Priestly Prayer for His own
John 17:1-12 "After Jesus had spoken these words (of chapters 14-16), He lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify You, since You have given Him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they know You the only true GOD, and Jesus Christ Whom You have sent. I glorified You on earth, having accomplished the work that You gave Me to do. And now, Father, glorify Me in Your own presence with the glory that I had with You before the world existed. "I have manifested Your name (Christ) to the people whom You gave Me out of the world. Yours they are, for You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word (plan and purpose of Will). Now they know that everything that You have given Me is from You. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled."
The Students or Disciples in the world
John 17:13-26 "But now I am coming to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Your word (Your Promises), and the world hates them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is Truth. As You sent Me into the world, so I send them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate Myself, that they also may be sanctified in (this) truth. "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one, just as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in US, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. The glory that You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one even as We are One, I in them and You in Me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that You sent Me and love them even as You love Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, may be with Me where I am, to see My glory that You have given Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, even though the world does not know You, I know You, and these know that You have sent Me. I made known to them Your name (Christ), and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them, and I in them."
We are now in GOD's so great a Salvation because our home and family life are now one with GOD and GOD alone, having the Godhead within our temple the body of clay. We are the living stones of which the Lord Jesus said that the Father would rise up. Now I will show the scripture references to what I just stated beginning with 1Peter 2:4-5, 4:10-14, Colossians 3:16-17. To this point there are references to this in Matthew, Mark and Luke in relation to the raising of stones to Abrahams lineage.

Continuing with Sheep not of this fold
In this next study we will be looking at chapter 16 of John's synoptic gospel in which Jesus first gives a stern warning of persecution and then He explains the working of the Holy Spirit and after that His departure. Lastly He reveals His overcoming the evils of this world. When we have received the promise of all promises we too are empowered to Learn of Him, the vail is rent that covers our own heart to be empowered to see clearly and hear unhindered GOD's word within our being like never before. This is what we acquire as the abundance of His Life is all about. Now for years I have wondered why is it that todays people and churches have not the witness in power of the Holy Spirit. In this study we just may find out why. You see we are called to be set apart and a peculiar people indwelt by GOD, the Godhead, to walk as His ambassadors and stewards of His word just as did a few men and women throughout the worlds history. This is the power or authority spoken of through our Bible and seen within its pages. We are to be His witnesses of Christ coming in the flesh, again. Yes I said "again" because of Genesis where we have the Spirit of the LORD...ie' Christ, present as John bears out in John chapter 1. John having spent time close to Jesus and then walking with Paul before writing by revelation the things of Christ including the stand alone book of Christ's Revelation. Now I will turn again to the ESV translation to do this study.
Jesus warns of Persecution to follow
John 16:1-3 "I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away. They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor Me. I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you. "I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you."
Jesus speaks of His leaving and then the work of the Holy Spirit
John 16:5-6, 7-11, 12-15 "But now I am going to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, 'Where are you going?' But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.
Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you. And when He comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see Me no longer (this does not mean that He is gone but rather is returned to His original state of Spirit remains ever present); concerning judgment, because the ruler (within mans being of the flesh) of this world is judged.
"I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take what is Mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is Mine; therefore I said that He will take what is Mine and declare it to you."
Sorrow turns to Joy at His resurrection (within our soul)
John 16:16, 17-24 "A little while, and you will see Me no longer; and again a little while, and you will (know Me in a new way) see Me."
So some of his disciples said to one another, "What is this that He says to us, 'A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me'; and, 'because I am going to the Father'?" So they were saying, "What does He mean by 'a little while'? We do not know what He is talking about (the unbelieving world, this includes mans religions, remains to this day in blindness and darkness to this)." Jesus knew what they wanted to ask Him, so He said to them, "Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying, 'A little while and you will not see Me, and again a little while and you will see Me'? Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. So also you have sorrow now, but I will see (be within) you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. In that day you will ask nothing of Me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in My (anointed name, this being Messiah or Christ) name, HE will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."
I have Overcome the world
John 16:25-33 "I have said these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech but will tell you plainly about the Father. In that day you will ask through My name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from GOD. I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father." His disciples said, "Ah, now You are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech! Now we know that You know all things and do not need anyone to question You; this is why we believe that You came from God." Jesus answered them, "Do you now believe? Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave Me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is within Me. I have said these things to you, that in (through) Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."
This is overcoming is spoken of in Revelation where we are told how to overcome the world through Christ and His Spirit restored within us. Next comes the LORD's Prayer that reveals GOD's transformation which took place at Pentecost. It forever changed the landscape for humanity from being of the flesh as in the days before Jesus' coming to our being spiritually endowed by GOD in Christ to become His again. During the ancient days He as the Spirit settled upon men and women but did not seem to indwell man, as they spoke and wrote as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Continuing with Sheep not of this fold
This next section picks up with Jesus telling us that He is the Vine or the Tree of Life would be another way of expressing this. He chose Vine because of the farming and agricultural area that He and His followers were in. Then He explains our relationship with the world of evil and darkness that we live in and have come out of when we have received His revelation within. And if you do not remember the word LORD, it means Master, Father, Husband, Husbandman and Vine and we can also include Christ and do Him no harm. One other thing through most of the early parts of the Old Testament the LORD reveals His many hats or titles of mans required resources, of healer, needs provider, our peace and a host of others. We willingly loose all self importance. Now chapter 15 of John's synoptic gospel and making use of the ESV translation.
Jesus the true Vine and those who are His the branches
John 15:1-11, 12-17 "I Am the true Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser (husbandman). Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit HE takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit HE prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I Am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me he (remains satan's slave and) is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in Me, and My words (in My Will) abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples (students as He is our teacher or Master as a college or university prophesier). As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Abide in My love. If you keep My commandments (charge or injunction), you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's (charge and injunction) commandments and abide in His Love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command (of separation, enjoinment to) you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I have chosen you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father through Me, HE may give it to you. These things I command (directed) you, so that you will love one another."
Our relationship to be Hatred of the world
John 15:18-27 "If the world hates you, know that it has hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, for I chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of My name, because they do not know Him (the SPIRIT) Who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever (remains a slave to sin) hates Me, hates My Father also (implying Their undivided Oneness). If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both Me and My Father. For the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: 'They hated Me without a cause.' (in Psalm 35:19, 69:4) "But when the Helper comes, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth, Who proceeds from the Father, HE will bear witness about Me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning (Genesis 1 and 2 with John 1)."
Jesus the true Vine and those who are His the branches
