The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 1Corinthians 15:35; the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

As stated in the intro of our last blog post, we are looking into the revelation of Jesus' words of John 12:24-25 and their meaning for us of this age of revelation, or as some label it, the "age of grace". The age of body growth in the knowledge of Christ. Like so many of these revelation of our co-resurrection and our co-righteousness in Christ I have found it easier to take it paragraph by paragraph when studying them. In this way we are able to do a word by word study with profound results.

1Corinthians 15:35-41 "But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die (John 12:24 of 24-25): And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another (Matthew 27:51-54; John 5:24-29, Hosea 6:2, Ephesians 4:8-14). There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory." (KJV)

1Corinthians 15:35-41 "But someone will ask, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?" You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.(John 12:24 of 24-25) And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body. For not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish. There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly is of another (Matthew 27:51-54; John 5:24-29, Hosea 6:2, Ephesians 4:8-14). There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory." (ESV)

1Corinthians 15:35-41 "There might be many skeptics who would say, "How are the dead raised and what does the resurrection body look like?" Think about it this way, a seed that is sown has to first die before it lives again (John 12:24-25). And the plant that grows from the seed does not even resemble the grain that was sown. If you only know what wheat looks like in its seed form you might not be able to recognize its plant (Matthew 27:51-54; John 5:24-29, Hosea 6:2, Ephesians 4:8-14). For GOD has designed a unique body for every plant species. The human body differs from the bodies of animals and so do the bodies of fish and birds differ from all other bodies. There are celestial bodies as well as terrestrial bodies. The glory of the one differs from the other (Matthew 27:51-54; John 5:24-29, Hosea 6:2, Ephesians 4:8-14). There are skin-bodies and spirit-bodies. (Our skin-bodies have a sell by date; our spirit-bodies are eternal. [2Corinthians 5:11] ) The glory of the sun differs from the glory of the moon; (while the one radiates light, the other reflects that light.) Also the stars differ from one another. Each one occupies its own unique place in space." (The Mirror)

We shall the LORD willing continue with this in our next visit. Until then may the LORD bless you and yours, keep all safe under his gaze.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 1Corinthians 15:29; the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

It has been very interesting so far to see through redeemed eyes to hear what the living Word is actually speaking within and then through us. Instead of just settling for some translators words in print as if that were the only way to get to hear GOD. The Mirror Study Bible has put into print what I have been saying all most from the beginning of this blog. In little more refined wording. Paul is soon to explain the meaning of the Lord Jesus' words of John 12:24-25 which states this, from the KJV: "'Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.'" Now for the ESV, "'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; But if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.'" Like any good lawyer Paul is lying the ground work for his revelation and argument of the Lord Jesus' meaning in these scriptures. This we shall see in the next few posts.

1Corinthians 15:29-34 "Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? And why stand we in jeopardy every hour? I protest by your rejoicing which I have in(G1722) Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die (from Isaiah 22:13). Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (KJV)

1Corinthians 15:29-34 "Otherwise, what do people mean by being baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized on their behalf? Why are we in danger every hour? I protest, brothers, by my pride in you, which I have in(G1722) Christ Jesus our Lord, I die every day! What do I gain if, humanly speaking, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."(from Isaiah 22:13) Do not be deceived: "Bad company ruins good morals." Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame." (ESV)

1Corinthians 15:29-34 "Now here's a novel idea: if someone died who didn't get baptized then you can baptize someone else in their stead. (That should convince GOD to raise that person from the dead one day; this way you don't have to worry about anything, just remember to charge a decent fee so that you can build an Olympic size pool in your church!)

(There is no doubt that this passage was squeezed in here by some heretic church father; since the practice referred to only existed in some churches 200 plus years later and is in total contradiction to Paul's message; as were other practices that later evolved in churches, such as buying indulgences to shorten a deceased loved one's time in the church's idea of "purgatory!"

Here is Paul's take on baptism: 1Corinthians 1:17, "My mandate was not about winning members for some "Christian club" through baptism! I am commissioned to declare the Good News without any strings attached; nothing to distract from the powerful effect of the revelation of the cross of Christ." [The mystery of the cross is the revelation of humanity's inclusion in his death and resurrection. Look at 1Corinthians 2:7]) Why would we bother to constantly put ourselves in life threatening situations by preaching this gospel if it is all coming to nothing in the end anyway? My passion for your joy in Christ Jesus our LORD puts my life at frequent risk. As [1,G1722]certain as I am of your salvation, so certain am I of the resurrection; therefore, I am more than confident to daily live in danger and closely to death. (This [1,G1722] ne is a particle of swearing. People swear or affirm by their objects of dearest affections and deep desires; our salvation and joy was Paul's dearest affection.) If I like many other prisoners had to fight wild beasts in the amphitheater of Ephesus, what would be my gain if the dead are not raised; then we might as well live by the philosophy, "let us eat and drink as much as we can today for tomorrow we die!" (from Isaiah 22:13) Do not be distracted by a message that excludes the revelation of the resurrection; yielding yourselves to the persuasive conversation of others, their message of negative influence in your lives would be inevitable. Awake to righteousness (innocence), and the distortion of sin will have no further effect on you. GOD is not confused. What a shame that anyone should exchange what GOD knows to be true about us to someone else's inferior opinion." (The Mirror)

Next time we shall, the LORD willing get into the hidden seed faith, spoken of by Jesus in a veiled language, of our co-resurrection revelation. Until then may he increase our own revelation of his gospel message.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 1Corinthians 15:20; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

In this section of chapter 15 of 1Corinthians Paul discloses the order of  humanity's resurrection which in itself is fascinating. And many an intellectual and religious personality have brought forth their version of thought on this matter over the ages of this revelation. Setting those aside lets see what we may find by the Spirit of GOD within us, are his thoughts on the matter, shall we. Seeing as how when Jesus ascended he led all of humanity (from Adam to the very last person born of the earth, or the womb of woman) to his place at the right hand of the Father. This means that the kingdom of Spirit is within all of humanity as a NOW I AM, kind of thing. Though the religious world does it best to hide this fact and truth from prying eyes. It should also be of note that many of our Bible translators follow the edicts of some religion and therefore their efforts are conflicted.

1Corinthians 15:20-28 "But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming(G3952). Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down(G2673) all rule(G746) and all authority(G1849) and power(G1411). For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all." (KJV)

1Corinthians 15:20-28 "But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming(G3952) those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying(G2673) every rule(G746) and every authority(G1849) and power(G1411). For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For "God has put all things in subjection under his feet." But when it says, "all things are put in subjection," it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all." (ESV)

1Corinthians 15:20-28 "However this very moment the risen Christ represents us in this life then imagine the severity of our disappointment if it all had to come to an abrupt end when we die. However this very moment the risen Christ represents everyone who has ever died; exactly like the first fruit represents the complete harvest. The same humanity who died in a man was raised again in a man. (Matthew 27:51-54; Ephesians 4:8-10, Colossians 2:11-15) In Adam all died; in Christ all are made alive. All are individually made alive in the order of Christ; he is the first fruit and in [1,G3952]his immediate presence we are personally revealed as his own. (The word, [1,G3952] parousia is often translated to mean the coming of the Lord; however, the two component (G3918, from G3844 and G1510 of this word are (G3918), para, a preposition indicating close proximity, a thing proceeding from a sphere of influence, with a suggestion of union of place of residence, to have sprung from its author and giver, originating from, denoting the point from which an action originates, intimate connection; and (G1510) eimi, I am, I exist: his immediate presence realized in me.) the complete conclusion in his work of redemption is celebrated in his yielding the full harvest of his reign to GOD the Father, having [1,G2673]brought to naught the Law of works which supported every definition of dominion under the fall, including all [2,G746]principalities, and all [3,G1849]authority and every [4,G1411]dynamic influence in society. (He brought to naught the Law of works, [1,G2673 from G2596 and G691] katargeo, is from (G2596) kata, meaning intensity, and(G691) argo, meaning labor; thus free from all self-effort to attempt to improve what GOD has already perfected in Christ. All principalities, [2,G746 from G756] arche, or chief ranks, i.e., kings, governors; this includes any governing system whereby one is ranked above the other on the basis of their performance or preference. All authority, [3,G1849 from G1832 a compound of G1537 and G1510] exousia, comes from(G1537) ek, denoting origin and(G1510) eimi, I am; in this case, because of what I can do I am defined by what I can do better than you; therefore, I have authority over you. Every dynamic influence in society, [4,G1411 from G1410] dunamis, means power, in this case, willpower. Every government structure in society will be brought under the dominion of grace where the Christ life rules.

The kingdom of GOD is the authority of the Christ life in ordinary, day to day life, where righteousness is based on who we are and not on who we are trying to impress. The Law of works is duty and guilt driven, whereas the law of faith is love driven. [Romans 3:27, Galatians 5:6. Also 2Corinthians 10:12, "When they measure themselves by one another, competing and comparing, they are without understanding." ) His dominion is destined to subdue all hostilities and contractions under his feet. (The lowest parts of the human body will equally share in this victory. "The LORD said to my Lord, sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool." [Psalm 110:1] Jesus is the LORD of lords; in his victory humanity is restored to lordship; "I say are gods, all of you are sons of the Most High!" [Psalm 82:6, RSV] ) Resurrection life will finally triumph over every definition of death. When David says in Psalm 8 that humanity is destined to reign over all things he obviously does not mean that humanity will also rule over their Maker. ( He has made humanity all but equal to himself, he crowned them with his own glory and dignity, and appointed them in position of authority ( in Genesis 1:25-29) over the works of his hands." [Hebrews 2:7-10 and Psalm 8:4-6; no Shepherd-Messenger can boast that.] GOD's intention was that humanity should rule the planet. He subjected everything without exception to their control. Yet, looking at the human race, it does not seem that way at all. But what is apparent is Jesus ["but now GOD spoke to us in a Son...." Hebrews 1:1-3 "Let us then consider him in such a way that we may clearly perceive what GOD is saying to humanity in him. In the death he suffered he descended for a brief moment below the lowest ranked Shepherd-Messanger in order to taste the death of the entire human race; and in doing so, to fulfill the grace of GOD and be crowned again as a man, representing all humanity with glory and highly esteemed honor. He now towers in conspicuous prominence far above all things. He is both their author and their conclusion. He now summons every son of his, through a perfected salvation, to his own glory. The extent(G4241) of the suffering he bore is the measure of the perfection of this salvation over which he presides. [The word(G4241), perpo, means to tower above in prominence. Look also at Hebrews 7:26]

Ephesians 4:8-10 "Scripture confirms that he led us as trophies in his triumphant procession on high; he repossessed his gift [likeness] in humanity. [Ephesians 2:6, We are also elevated in his ascension to be equally welcome in the Throne room of the heavenly realm where we are now seated together with him in his authority. Quote from Hebrew text in Psalm 68:18; lakachta mattanoth baadam, thou hast taken gifts in human form, in Adam. [The gifts which Jesus Christ distributed to us he has received in us, in and by virtue of his incarnation (GOD in man again). Commentary by Adam Clarke.] The fact that he ascended confirms his victorious descent into the deepest pits of human despair. [In John 3:13: "No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended from heaven, even the son of man." All humanity originates from above; we are(G509) anouthen, from above. Look at James 1:17-18.] He now occupies the ultimate rank of authority from the lowest regions where he stood down to rescue us to the highest authority in the heavens, having executed his mission to the full. (Fallen humanity is fully restored to the authority of the authentic life of their design and origin. [Psalm 139:7-8, "Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from they presence? if I ascend to heaven, You! If i make my bed in Sheol, You!]) In subduing all things under him, the Son himself in his own submission to the Father will confirm that GOD is All and in all. (John 14:20, "In that day you will know that i am in my Father and you in me and I in you." The day Jesus refers to here happened when he died our death and was raised again; the day for us downs the moment we realize our co-inclusion in his death and resurrection.)

Now we have covered allot of Revelation ground and we shall move even farther into this, the LORD willing in our next post. Until then may He increase your respectability of him.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 1Corinthians 15:12; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

I am repeating the intro of our first entry into this chapter. Now Paul reaches the pinnacle of his gospel message the mystery of the resurrection and the power of GOD released within it on humanity's behalf. Oh! the wonder and splendor of this one event in humanity's past existence, for it corrected the wrong of the first and of many other such offenses. This old pattern now broken and secured by the blood (death burial) and resurrection of humanity's image and likeness of GOD that is Jesus the Christ, his messenger of this gospel (Deuteronomy 18:15-18 of 15-22, Psalm 2).

1Corinthians 15:12-19 "Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins (unbelief). Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable." (KJV)

1Corinthians 15:12-19 "Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins (unbelief). Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied." (ESV)

1Corinthians 15:12-19 "What is important though is that you understand the revelation of his resurrection. The resurrection of Christ from the dead is the theme of preaching; for some to say that he is not also raisen within you is to miss the whole point of the message. If our co-resurrection is not proclaimed then the resurrection of Jesus from the dead is no longer relevant. If Christ is not raised from the dead there is nothing left for us to preach and nothing left for us [you] to believe. We would be misrepresenting GOD since we declared that he raised Christ from the dead; when in fact he did not, so it would be man's word against GOD's! If there is no global resurrection from the dead then there can be no individual resurrection from the dead; then Jesus did not really rise from the dead. And if Jesus is still dead your faith has no revelance and you are still in your sins. (In Paul's understanding the body of Christ on the cross was the document of humanity's guilt and the resurrection was the receipt of our acquittal [Colossians 2:14-1 and Romans 4:25]. If humanity was still guilty after Jesus died, his resurrection would neither be possible not relevant! This explains Acts 10:28, 2Corinthians 5:14-16 and Acts 17:31 says, "because GOD had fixed a day on which he would judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given assurance to all men by raising his from the dead." ) No resurrection implies no hope for anyone beyond the grave; it makes no difference whether you believe that you were included in Christ's death or not. If our hope in Christ was restricted to only benefit us in this life then imagine the severity of our disappointment if it aall had to come to an abrupt end when we died." (The Mirror)

I wonder what Paul would respond if Islam was active in his time, just a thought. Until our next visit may the LORD of All be with you and yours.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 1Corinthians 15:1; the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

Now Paul reaches the pinnacle of his gospel message the mystery of the resurrection and the power of GOD released within it on humanity's behalf. Oh! the wonder and splendor of this one event in humanity's existence, for it corrected the wrong of the first of many offenses. And for those who find their way to the revelation of this will never live in the old same fashion they did in their beginning. This is just a little taste of what chapter 15 and how it fights with the LORD's Prayer of John 17, and the rest of Paul's revelation of Christ, his gospel message is all about. Paul comes clean, if you will. For there is but one way back home and that is to restoration of our fellowship with our Creator and Father, the LORD of all!

1Corinthians 15:1-2, 3-11 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time(G1626). For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed." (KJV)

1Corinthians 15:1-2, 3-11 "Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely(G1626) born, he appeared also to me. For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed." (ESV)

1Corinthians 15:1-2, 3-11 "Friends and sisters, herewith a summary of the Good News that I endorse; I announced to you with glad confidence how greatly advantaged you are in Christ; you immediately associated yourselves with this message in which you are now firmly established. In this gospel [ground] you realize your salvation; the words I spoke echoed in your hearts; I now desire to reinforce your faith in order to erase any possible grounds for doubt.
I fully included you in this message I embrace with my whole being. Of first importance is this truth of fact that the death that Jesus (our very humanity) died for our sins was in exact fulfillment of the promise recorded in Scripture. [in Isaiah 53:4-5, Psalm 22]  Also his burial and third day resurrection [our third days resurrection of Hosea 6:2] were actually foretold. Then there are the many eyewitnesses; Kefas, as well as all the other disciples who saw his after his resurrection (recorded by Matthew in 27:51-54). He then appeared to more than five hundred followers of whom most are still alive at this time of my writing. After that he was seen by James ( Jesus' half brother; Galatians 1:19), then again by all the Apostles (at the Mount of Olives), and finally he also appeared to me; certainly not as a reward for my spirituality or good behavior! It was like an unexpected traumatic birth. (The word, (G1626 a compound word of G1537 ek, denoting origin, and troma) ektroma, means out of trauma.) Because i persecuted the church of GOD, I cannot even begin to rate myself along with the Apostles. I am the least of the least and unworthy to even be called an apostle (a delegate, ambassador, messenger, G652). While my own doing completely disqualified me; his doing now defines me. I am what I am by the grace of GOD. I am because he is! His grace was not wasted on me; instead I am inspired to labor beyond the point of exhaustion, more than anything I ever did under the Law of performance; whatever it is I accomplish now has grace written all over it. I take no credit for it. Whether you came to faith through my preaching or someone else's is not important." (The Mirror)

Paul's claim is my own claim for we both have the same experience. until next time, the LORD willing, when we shall continue from here. May the LORD of Grace increase within you and yours his faith.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 1Corinthians 14:26; the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

As we have discovered there is a lot of food for thought within these often overlooked passages of the Corinthian letters. But hold on to your seats there is more ahead, especially from a renewed mind set that the LORD brought about when our spiritual eyes and ears were pierced, causing them to be opened. I was going to break this up into two posts but after rethinking I will include them herein.

1Corithians 14:26-33 "How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." (KJV)

1Corithians 14:26-33 "What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up. If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn, and let someone interpret. But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silent in church and speak to himself and to God. Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said. If a revelation is made to another sitting there, let the first be silent. For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged, and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets. For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints." (ESV)

1Corinthians 14:26-33 "I would encourage you to conduct your meetings in such a way that everyone is mutually edified. Each one in turn may contribute in music, in a teaching; anothers may bring a tongue with its revelation and interpretation. I want to be very clear on this issue of tongues and its practice in assemblies: if someone insists on speaking in tongues; keep it short, let it be only two or at most three in turn, definitely not all three at the same time, and let one interpret what was said. If there is no interpretation, let the one who wants to talk in tongues rather be quiet; he can have his own private conversation with GOD when he is alone. Let only two or three Prophets speak while the others weigh what is said. If another picks up on something that is not consistent with the revelation of the gospel, he should bring the conversation back to order while the first person is silent. (Which is exactly what I have done with verses 34-38. I do not consider them legitimate Scripture from Paul. As it is the custom of the old style of assembly of the Jews and other, shall I say religions.) The two or three people prophesying should take turns to speak; if more than one speaks at the same time the objective is lost and no one can gain any insight or encouragement from the Prophet. Confusion is not of GOD; peace and harmony sets the pace in all the churches of the Saints." (The Mirror)

1Corinthians 14:34-36, 37-38, 39-40 "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the Law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order." (KJV)

1Corinthians 14:34-36, 37-38, 39-40 "The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church. Or was it from you that the word of God came? Or are you the only ones it has reached?

If anyone thinks that he is a prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge that the things I am writing to you are a command of the Lord. If anyone does not recognize this, he is not recognized.

So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. But all things should be done decently and in order." (ESV)

1Corinthians 14:34-35, 36-38, 39-40 "(Women should shut up in church; they should know their place of submission just as they are taught in the Law! If they need to know anything their husbands can instruct them at home; church is certainly not a place where women should voice their opinion; they also do not qualify to operate in any of the [spiritual] gifts of the Spirit!

Hee hee hee! This sounds like a grumpy old church father voicing his opinion!

This is certainly not consistent with Paul's revelation that in Christ there is neither male nor female! [look at 2Corinthians 5:14-16, Galatians 3:28, and also 1Corinthians 11:3-17])

36-38 (Now to add insult to injury, the same author of the previous verses lashes out against anyone who would not share his sentiment concerning women.)

39-40 "To conclude the tongues and prophecy debate; encourage prophecy with greater enthusiasm than tongues. However do not forbid tongues altogether, but let it all happen with discretion and dignity!" (The Mirror)

In our next visit we shall, the LORD willing get back to the gospel message. Now may the LORD give you and yours the wonder of his light.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 1Corinthians 14:20; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

In today's post we learn part of the secret that makes those of GOD different from those of the flesh realm and mans many religious systems. This being a deeper knowing as we have seen and heard before. For me these are exciting times as I get to share his light and life with those who find us. That said lets get into our studies.

1Corinthians 14:20-25 "Brethren, be not children in understanding(G5424): howbeit in malice be ye children(G3515), but in understanding(G5424) be men. In the law it is written (by Isaiah in 28:11-12), With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth." (KJV)

1Corinthians 14:20-25 "Brothers, do not be children in your thinking(G5424). Be infants(G3515) in evil, but in your thinking(G5424) be mature. In the Law it is written (by Isaiah in 28:11-12), "By people of strange tongues and by the lips of foreigners will I speak to this people, and even then they will not listen to me, says the Lord." Thus tongues are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers, while prophecy is a sign not for unbelievers but for believers. If, therefore, the whole church comes together and all speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are out of your minds? But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or outsider enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all, the secrets of his heart are disclosed, and so, falling on his face, he will worship God and declare that God is really among you." (ESV)

1Corinthians 14:20-25 "Friends and sisters, the days of being children in our understanding of spiritual matters are over! Be innocent as [1G3515]infants concerning evil but in [2G5424]understanding be perfectly articulate! (The word, [1G3515 from G3516] nepios, translates as without the command of language, babyish, gibberish [as in the day of the Tower of Babel over powering]. The word that Paul used here for understanding is the word [2G5424] phern and is where we get the word diaphragm; it refers to an inner knowing, a deeper knowledge than mere academic consent.) In the law it is written, "In foreign tongues and strange sounds I will speak to this people (Israel), and still they will not understand," says the LORD. (The law refers to the Old Covenant Scriptures, including the Psalms and Prophets. In Isaiah 28:9-11, Isaiah writes: "You say, "Who are you to lord it over us? We're not babies in diapers to be talked down to by such as you----'Da, da, da, da, blah, blah, blah. That's a good little girl, that's a good little boy.' But that's exactly how you will be addressed. GOD will speak to this people in baby talk, one syllable at a time---But they won't listen." ---The Message.)

By now you (Jews) should have been professors, able to teach the rest of the world, but still you are struggling with the ABC's of GOD's language in Christ [Hebrews 5:12]. The difference between the prophetic shadow and the real is like that between milk and meat in your idet! You cannot live on baby food for the rest of your lives [Hebrews 1:1-3]! The revelation of righteousness is the true meat of GOD's word. [Babes live on milk, "the prophetic shadow of the real, which was to come."] So does everyone who is not [1,G4044] pierced in the ear of his heart by the revelation of Christ [Romans 1:17] GOD's act of righteousness in Christ restored humanity to blameless innocence.] The word, [1,G4044 from G4012 and G4008, also G1574 from G1537 and the base of  G2759] apeiros, translates as not pierce, tested by piercing of eye and ear, also to prick or goad.

Hebrews 5:14, "This is the nourishment of the mature. They are those who have their faculties of perception trained as by gymnastic precision to distinguish the relevant from the irrelevant. (The mature are those who know the difference between the shadow and the substance; between the futility of the Law of works and willpower to work righteousness, and the righteousness revealed by the faith of GOD in the finished work of Christ.) In a certain sense tongues are also a prophetic sign pointing towards the revelation of Christ; thus unbelievers are brought to faith, by prophetic instruction is often used specifically to edify the believers; (but can also be used to convince an unbeliever, e.g., through a word of knowledge. [look at John 4:18-19, 29]

Acts 2:4-11 says it all: "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. And they were amazed and wondered, saying, "Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? Parthians and Medes and Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to the Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians, we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of GOD." [RSV]) If an unbeliever or someone completely ignorant of spiritual things happens to walk into one of your meetings while everyone is going off in tongues they will think that you are crazy and nothing will attract them to your faith. However if all speak with inspired revelation, the newcomer will feel drawn by the message that brings conviction and light. By witnessing the gift of the word of knowledge, where something that could not be known in any other way comes to light, the visitor will be struck with awe and acknowledge GOD in you and will yield himself to GOD in worship." (The Mirror)

Until next time may the LORD pierce your ears and eyes of heart, if he has not already done so. May this also happen to your friends and love ones.
