Post, The Secret and Mysteries of GOD revisited, part 3, False Trusts .3

Over the past few days I have been wondering if I should not change the title of the post to "The Secrets and Mysteries of GOD revised," to another. Because we are currently looking into "the calling out from among them" of 2Corinthians 6:11-7:1 and that of Revelation 18:4-8 which is part of the whole of 18 as it begins in 17 through 18 and the judgment and destruction of the idolistic church the harlot of Babylon. But alas I am leaving well enough alone for now. My next topic of the cup's contents is that of carnal security.

This leads man to dream of escape from his common ill's, Carnal Security,

Death,

Isaiah 28:15 of 9-22 "To whom will HE teach knowledge, and to whom will HE explain the message? Those who are weaned from the milk, those taken from the breast? For HE says, it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little." For by people of strange lips and with a foreign tongue the LORD will speak to this people, to whom HE has said, 'This is rest; give rest to the weary; and this is repose; yet they would not hear. And the word of the LORD will be to them precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little, that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.' Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scoffers, who rule this people in Jerusalem! Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we have an agreement, when the overwhelming whip passes through it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter;" Therefore thus says the LORD God, 'Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: 'Whoever believes will not be in haste.' And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plumb line; and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters will overwhelm the shelter. Then your covenant with death will be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol will not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, you will be beaten down by it. As often as it passes through it will take you; for morning by morning it will pass through, by day and by night; and it will be sheer terror to understand the message.' For the bed is too short to stretch oneself on, and the covering too narrow to wrap oneself in. For the LORD will rise up as on Mount Perazim; as in the Valley of Gibeon HE will be roused; to do His deed—strange is His deed! and to work His work—alien is His work! Now therefore do not scoff, lest your bonds be made strong; for I have heard a decree of destruction from the LORD God of hosts against the whole land."

Grief,

Isaiah 47:8 of 1-7, 8-11, 12-15 "'Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called tender and delicate. Take the millstones and grind flour, put off your veil, strip off your robe, uncover your legs, pass through the rivers. Your nakedness shall be uncovered, and your disgrace shall be seen. I will take vengeance, and I will spare no one.' Our Redeemer—the LORD of hosts is His name— is the Holy One of Israel. 'Sit in silence, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for you shall no more be called the mistress of kingdoms. I was angry with My people; I profaned My heritage; I gave them into your hand; you showed them no mercy; on the aged you made your yoke exceedingly heavy. You said, "I shall be mistress forever," so that you did not lay these things to heart or remember their end.
Now therefore hear this, you lovers of pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, "I am, and there is no one besides me; I shall not sit as a widow or know the loss of children": These two things shall come to you in a moment, in one day; the loss of children and widowhood shall come upon you in full measure, in spite of your many sorceries and the great power of your enchantments. You felt secure in your wickedness, you said, "No one sees me"; your wisdom and your knowledge led you astray, and you said in your heart, "I am, and there is no one besides me." But evil shall come upon you, which you will not know how to charm away; disaster shall fall upon you, for which you will not be able to atone; and ruin shall come upon you suddenly, of which you know nothing.
Stand fast in your enchantments and your many sorceries, with which you have labored from your youth; perhaps you may be able to succeed; perhaps you may inspire terror. You are wearied with your many counsels; let them stand forth and save you, those who divide the heavens, who gaze at the stars, who at the new moons make known what shall come upon you. Behold, they are like stubble; the fire consumes them; they cannot deliver themselves from the power of the flame. No coal for warming oneself is this, no fire to sit before! Such to you are those with whom you have labored, who have done business with you from your youth; they wander about, each in his own direction; there is no one to save you.'"

War and Famine,

Jeremiah 5:12 of 10-13; 21:13 of 13-14 "'Go up through her vine rows and destroy, but make not a full end; strip away her branches, for they are not the LORD's. For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have been utterly treacherous to Me,' declares the LORD. 'They have spoken falsely of the LORD and have said, "He will do nothing; no disaster will come upon us, nor shall we see sword or famine. The prophets will become wind; the word is not in them. Thus shall it be done to them!'"

Jeremiah 21:13 of 13-14 "'Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, O rock of the plain, declares the LORD; you who say, 'Who shall come down against us, or who shall enter our habitations?' I will punish you according to the fruit of your deeds,' declares the LORD; 'I will kindle a fire in her forest, and it shall devour all that is around her.'"

Humiliation,

Obadiah 3 of 1-9 "The vision of Obadiah. Thus says the LORD God concerning Edom: 'We have heard a report from the LORD, and a messenger has been sent among the nations: Rise up! Let us rise against her for battle! Behold, I will make you small among the nations; you shall be utterly despised. The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rock, in your lofty dwelling, who say in your heart, "Who will bring me down to the ground?" Though you soar aloft like the eagle, though your nest is set among the stars, from there I will bring you down,' declares the LORD. 'If thieves came to you, if plunderers came by night— how you have been destroyed!— would they not steal only enough for themselves? If grape gatherers came to you, would they not leave gleanings? How Esau has been pillaged, his treasures sought out! All your allies have driven you to your border; those at peace with you have deceived you; they have prevailed against you; those who eat your bread have set a trap beneath you— you have no understanding. Will I not on that day,' declares the LORD, 'destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of Mount Esau? And your mighty men shall be dismayed, O Teman, so that every man from Mount Esau will be cut off by slaughter.'"

Poverty,

Luke 12:19 of 13-21 "Someone in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me." But He said to him, 'Man, who made Me a judge or arbitrator over you?' Then Jesus said to them, 'Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.' And He told them a parable, saying, 'The land of a rich man produced plentifully, and he thought to himself, 'What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?' And he said, 'I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.'" But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?' So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward GOD.'"
