We are now establishing what we found in our last post of John 1:18 and then 1:9-13 as it ties to the woman of Revelation17 and how it is that all of today is tied to her as the vial image of the counterfeit god, fiat god of man's religion, political and financial systems try to over through the knowledge and legacy of Elohiym within humanity. Which I have labeled as the DC Swamp and Deep State Criminal Mafia Syndicate of this worlds flesh / earthly order. For this I will first draw our attention to 2Corinthians 3 as it draws upon the comparison of the Mosaic Law and Grace in the person of the Holy Spirit resident within humanity but suppressed long ago, in Genesis 3. Remember lambano (G2983) as it plays a key part of this message. First the KJV and then my target of verses 12-17.
The KJV: 2Co 3:1-6, 7-11, 12-18 "Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you? We are our own epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: forasmuch as we are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living GOD (Elohiym); Not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart (Ezekiel 36:26-27). And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; For our sufficiency is of GOD; Who has made us able ministers of the New Testament (Covenant); Not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the (Mosaic) letter kills, but the Spirit gives us, Love, Light, and Life, that is Grace.
For if the ministration of death, written and engraved in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; Which glory was to be done away: how shall not the ministration of the Spirit be rather (more) glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more is the ministration of Righteousness exceed in Glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excels. For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remains is glorious.
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel (representing Humanity) could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished (G2637, katargeō): for their minds were blinded (because of that which had been lost by Adam the knowledge of his, our origin): for until this day remains the same vail not taken away in the reading of the Old Testament; Which vail is done away (Mat. 27:51, Mark 15:38, Luke 23:45) in Christ. For even to this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the LORD is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. For we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the LORD, are changed into the same image from Glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD."
Okay, now let's take a look at the Mirror Study Bible, where to begin is in debate as there is allot of ground and very good learning of Jesus within the context of this chapter, as we have seen in our previous blogs.
2Corinthians 3:4-6, 7-11, "Christ is proof of our persuasion about you 1before GOD. ( The Greek preposition [1, G4314, translated as to ] pros, means towards, face to face, also 2Cor. 1:18, 19, and 20.) We have not 1 reached this conclusion by any merit of our own! Of GOD'S doing are we made competent! (the word, [1, G3049, translated as think ] logitsomai, means to reckon; making a calculation to which there can only be one logical conclusion.)
Because of its prophetic purpose even the old administration of death, carved in stone evidenced a glimpse of glory; For a brief moment the face of Moses shone with such brilliance that the people of Israel could not even look at his face. The fact that the glory reflected in Moses was brief and fading confirmed that the ministry of the letter had a "sell by" date and that it was destined 1 to be brought to naught. (It served merely to emphasize the failure of the flesh to access the glory that Adam (Gen. 3) had lost on behalf of humanity. The word, (1, G2673, translated as be done away ) katargeo, derives from [G2596 ] kata, meaning intensity, and [G691] argos, meaning labor, denotes that the law of works would be rendered entirely useless; thus, the new arrangement would free us from all self efforts to attempt to improve upon what GOD has already perfected in Christ. Consider the contrast in verse 18; from a mere glimpse of a veiled and fading glory to unveiled gazing into the face of glory as in a mirror and a transformation of life radiating the same glory.) How much more radiant would the ministry of the Spirit be. If the ministry of condemnation had a glimpse of glory, the glory that the ministry of righteousness now communicates is beyond comparison! (There are two administrations: the one confirms humanity's guilt because of Adam; The other confirms humanity's innocence because of Christ! The one was upheld by the letter of the law; The other is sustained by the Life of the Spirit. Humanity's standing before Elohiym is restored; Righteousness by the merit of the Cross far outweighs any attempt of the flesh to complete! Nothing that anyone can do can improve their standing before GOD!) What seemed glorious and important at the time has been reduced to total obscurity and irrelevance. The fragile and fading glory of the flesh is dwarfed into insignificance by the unfading glory of the Spirit! ( The ministry of the New Testament reveals oneness and permanence. In Christ the idea of distance and delay is cancelled.)
Now I shall stop just here for this can become quite lengthy as we continue.with the next seven verses. Now if the LORD tells me to carry on then I shall, lets wait on Him. Now understand that this is not about me, it is all about our learning of HIM! The I AM that I AM. Mat 11:29.
