Christ within You .010.5

Within the scriptures context of the last blog post we looked at Jeremiah 17:5, 7-8 and Isaiah 57:15-16, 18-19 and highlighted the portions of interest. In this post I shall look at a few key words of Isaiah 57:15 and 18 using the LXX and the Strong's Word Dictionary's Hebrew (H....) with some referenced passages and these not in any order of use.

inhabits (H7931, dwell, abide, rest, habitation)

eternity (H5703, repeat, witness, again, until)

dwell (H7931, to stay, abide, inhabit, rest)

contrite (H1793, seed crushed, broken)

humble (H8217, low, base)

spirit (H7307, path, travel, breath, courage, enlargement)

revive (H2421, live, life; quicken, recover)

heart (3820, think, authority inside, understanding, friendly)

contrite (H1792, seed, crush, bruise)

Now for a few scripture references, first verse 15, whose name is Holy: Job 6:10, Luke 1:49;

I dwell in: Psalm 68:4, Zechariah 2:13;

with him of contrite and humble spirit: Psalm 34:18:

Now for verse 18 of chapter 15 of Isaiah:

I will heal (H7495, man open, repair,cure)

I will lead (H5148,  guide, rest, bestow, straiten)

restore (H7999, complete, a state of wholeness, restitution)

comforts (H5150, regret, to have sorrow for an action)

mourners (H57, flow, a flowing of certainty - surely)

Now for a few passages of referenced verses of 18, I will lead him, Psalm 73:24, guide me Isaiah 58:8, and receive me John 14:3 and 2Corinthians 5:1

Now for a few lose passages:

Psalm 113: 4-7, James 4:6, Psalm 97:9, Exodus 15:11, Isaiah 66:1-2, 1Kings 8:27, Psalm 138:6-7, 34:18 and 147:3

Now there are many more of that I am sure but if your willing to do your part you'll gain much more than If I shared them all with a copy and paste of them.

Christ within You .010.4

Because of my delay in doing another post I will do a short recap of grounds already covered by way of refreshing of a few passages. These taken from me e-Sword digital study Bible and what Pastor Hoekstra has covered from Jeremiah 17 and then Isaiah 57.

Thus says the LORD: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength . . . Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; For her leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit. (Jeremiah 17:5, 7-8)

When we consider Jeremiah's contrasting the two options on trust. As we note, that there are only two choices: man or GOD. When man is the object of our hope, the result is the curse of spiritual barrenness. "Cursed is the man who trusts in man." Contrariwise, when GOD is the object of our dependence, the result is great blessing. "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD."

The spiritual blessing comes from trusting in the LORD Jesus is likened to a tree that is growing by the continual flow of a river. "For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters." The riverside is the ideal location for developing a flourishing tree. Trusting in the LORD is the only setting in which a flourishing spiritual life can be developed. A tree that is located by the river sends out its roots to take in more and more life-giving water: "which spreads out its roots by the river." The Christian who is hoping in the Lord finds the life his inner man cherishes, and he reaches out for more of that life for which he yearns.

When the heat of drought comes, it is a dreadful threat to plant-life (unless the plant is located beside a sufficient river). When the heat of battle or impossible circumstances arise, they can pose a fearful threat. Even a child of GOD is tempted to be anxious. However, if the LORD is our hope, we "will not fear when heat comes . . . and will not be anxious in the year of drought." Instead, we will continue in growth and spiritual fruitfulness. "Her leaf will be green, and will not . . . cease from yielding fruit."
What radically different results come from trusting in GOD (instead of hoping in man). We receive spiritual blessing (instead of a cursing). Our spiritual life is like a luxuriant tree beside a river (instead of like a shrub in the desert). We experience the grace resources of God (instead of the flesh resources of man).

GOD resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble . . . through whom also we have access by His faith into this grace in which we stand. (James 4:6 and Romans 5:2)

Our growing in the grace of GOD, we have examined various areas of biblical truth: such as, the Old Covenant of law, the New Covenant of grace, GOD'S sufficiency for godly living, living by the promises of GOD, and Old Testament saints who lived by GOD'S grace. Now, we turn to an extended consideration of how we avail ourselves of the glorious riches of GOD'S Grace. As noted in our studies, God's grace is accessed through humility and our trusting His faithfulness.

If we desire to live by GOD'S Grace, we must be willing to renounce pride and to walk in humility, this silently stipulated in our bearing up our cross on a daily bases as requested by Jesus and repeated by Paul in Romans 12:1-3 where we also find the renewal of our mind found. "GOD resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." The Lord is opposed to the path of self-sufficiency, the trusting in the arm of flesh. When we pridefully assume that we can produce the kind of life GOD calls us to live, spiritual progress is prevented. Humility involves agreeing with GOD'S pronouncements concerning our inadequacies. "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves" (2Corinthians 3:5). The person who is willing to walk humbly before the LORD has an accurate understanding of our comprehensive need for the LORD to work in and through our lives. "Without Me you can do nothing" (John 15:5).

Along with humility regarding ourselves, GOD wants us to walk in His faith regarding Him. The LORD wants to work in our lives by His incomparable grace. Faith accesses grace: "through Whom [Jesus] also we have access by His faith into this grace in which we stand." The LORD is pleased by the path of "Christ-dependency."

"'For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones; For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before Me, and the souls which I have made.....I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners. I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.'" (Isaiah 57:15-16, 18-19)

GOD delights in pouring out His grace (The Holy Spirit) into humble hearts. "GOD . . . gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). What a remarkable arrangement this involves. The GOD Who dwells on high in heaven above wants to also indwell those of the humble and contrite heart here on earth below.

Our great GOD, the true and living GOD, is high and lofty. "For thus says the High and Lofty One." He is exalted. "For You, LORD, are most high above all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods" (Psalm 97:9). He rules far above, and completely over, every valid authority and every false god. Also, eternity is His rightful habitation: "Who inhabits eternity." Furthermore, Holiness is His essential character: "Whose name is Holy." Among all professed powers or spiritual usurpers, none is like our Holy LORD. "Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in Holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?" (Exodus 15:11).

In light of His Holy and eternal character, it follows that He would make this proclamation: "I dwell in the high and holy place." Beyond the atmospheric heavens, beyond the stellar heavens, the LORD God dwells in the heaven of heavens. In this spiritual dimension beyond time and space, the fullness of the LORD'S presence is known. Yet, He is even greater than this "third heaven" itself. "Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool . . . Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You" (Isaiah 66:1 and 1Kings 8:27).

The LORD Jesus is high, lofty, holy, and eternal. These truths impact us with awe and reverence. Yet, there is a corollary truth that brings us encouragement and hope (even though it seems almost contradictory). "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit." God essentially dwells on high, but He also desires to indwell man here below. Who is the person that experiences the LORD'S dwelling with them? Such communion with GOD is for the contrite and humble. The LORD wants to make Himself known in contrite and meek / humble hearts in order to bring them spiritual revitalization: "to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."

This is now our bases for further examination of what is to flow the LORD Willing, in .010.5.

Christ within You .010.3

I am about to do a copy and paste from my e-Sword Bible Study program with a thought shared therein by Pastor Hoekstra, as an introduction to the next few postings:

God Dwelling with the Humble and Contrite:

For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." (Isaiah 57:15)

God delights in pouring out His grace into humble hearts. "God . . . gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). What a remarkable arrangement this involves. The GOD Who dwells on high in heaven above wants to also dwell within the humble here on earth below.

In light of His Holy and eternal character, it follows that He would make this proclamation: "I dwell in the High and Holy place." Beyond the atmospheric heavens, beyond the stellar heavens, the LORD dwells in the heaven of heavens. In this spiritual dimension beyond time and space, the fullness of the LORD'S presence is known. Yet, He is even greater than this "third heaven" itself. "Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool . . . Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You" (Isa. 66:1 and 1Ki. 8:27).

The LORD of lords is High, lofty, Holy, and eternal. These truths impacts us with awe and reverence. Yet, there is a corollary Truth that brings us encouragement and hope (even though it seems almost contradictory). "I dwell in the High and Holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit." GOD essentially dwells on High, but He also desires to dwell within man here below. Who is the person that experiences the LORD-Spirit dwelling with them? Such communion with GOD is for the contrite and humble. The LORD wants to make Himself known in the contrite of heart and meek hearts in order to bring them spiritual revitalization: "to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."

O LORD God, I worship You as high, lofty, holy, and eternal. I exalt You as above all and ruling over all. Yet, I praise You for desiring to dwell within me here on earth below. I humble myself before You, confessing my need for spiritual revitalization, in Jesus name, Amen."

It is said that after his conversion that Smith Widglesworth prayed for the Spirit of Holiness to fill him and that he sat for days in prayer waiting for this in anticipation of it taking place as requested of him. Based on this I shall over the next few posts do some further studies as this fits like a glove what we have been sharing all along. Jesus opened the door of this event and has given to us keys to effect this for ourselves, by the Spirit of His Holiness.

Christ within You .010.2

We're continuing with our at the blood line from it's original starting place in the Father of Spirits as the Life in the blood  of Leviticus 17:11.

For this I want to begin with the Mirror Study Bible's rendition of John 14:1-6 as follows:

John 14:1-6 Jesus is speaking: 'Set your troubled hearts at ease by letting your belief concludes in GOD as you rest your confidence in Me. What makes My Father's house, is your place in it! If this was not the ultimate conclusion of My mission why would I even bother to do what I am about to do if it was not to prepare a place for you? I have come to persuade you of a place of seamless union where you belong. The proportions of what I will accomplish are astonishing! I will prepare a highway for you, just as in the Oriental custom,  where people would go before a king to level the road to make it possible for royalty to journey with ease and comfort. By fully identifying Myself with you I would fully identify you with Me so that  you may be completely at home where I am! In fact, you have always known this way and when all this is leading Me and where I am taking you.' Thomas said, "No, we don't get it; We have no idea where You are going with this - how could we possibly have known the way?" Jesus answered, 'My I-am-ness [is mirrored in you] is your way; This is your truth and also your life! Every single person can now come freely face to face with the Father entirely because of My doing.'"

Here's how it reads in the KJV:

John 14:1-7 Jesus is speaking: 'Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in GOD, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.' To this Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we know not where You go; And how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me. If you had known Me, you should have known My Father also: and from henceforth you know Him, and have seen Him.'

Now for another look back; GOD resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble . . . through whom also we have access by [Their, GOD'S] faith into this grace in which we stand. (James 4:6 and Roman 5:2; Matthew 10:36-38, 16:24, Mark 8:34, 10:21, Luke 9:23, 14:26-27; Romans 12:1-2)
Thus far in our daily meditations on growing in the grace of GOD, we have examined various areas of biblical truth: such as, the Old Covenant of Mosaic Law, the New Covenant of grace, GOD'S sufficiency for godly living, living by the promises of GOD, and Old Testament saints who live by GOD'S grace. Now, we return to an extended consideration of how we avail ourselves of the glorious riches of GOD'S grace. As noted earlier in our studies, GOD'S grace is accessed through humility and faith.

If we desire to live by GOD'S grace, we must be willing to renounce pride and to walk in humility, by the taking up of our cross on a daily bases as set out by Jesus. "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." The LORD is opposed to the path of self-sufficiency. When we pridefully assume that we can produce the kind of life GOD calls us to live, spiritual progress is prevented. Humility involves agreeing with GOD'S pronouncements concerning our inadequacies, these brought about by man's religions. "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves" (2Corinthians 3:5). The person who is willing to walk humbly before / with the LORD has an accurate understanding of our comprehensive need for the LORD to work in and through our lives. "'Without Me you can do nothing.'" (John 15:5).

Christ within You .010.1

From the last post where this was stated: the blood that follows from the Father of our creation,,,ie..beginning, on throw all generations of humanity? I have it in a type of scripture short hand written my outline and that leaves me puzzled on how to write it out, though much of what is used has been shared already through the years of this study.

In 1John 4:1-6, 7-21; 5:1-6, 7-13, 14-21; we find these things explained.

Hosea 13:14, Galatians 4:56, Titus 2:14, Micah 4:10d

Now for a passage by passage examination:

Genesis 1:1  In the beginningH7225 GodH430 createdH1254 (H853) the heavenH8064 and the earth.H776

H430; H1254 (H853) Proverbs 8:22-24 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; When there were no fountains abounding with water.

Psalm 100:3  Know you that the LORD He is GOD: it is He that has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

John 1:1-3  In the beginning was the Word (H430), and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with GOD. All things were made by Him; And without Him was not any thing made that was made.

Hebrews 1:10-12  And, You, LORD, in the beginning have laid the foundation of the earth; And the heavens are the works of Your hands: They shall perish; but You remain; and they all shall wax old as does a garment; And as a vesture shall You fold them up, and they shall be changed: but You are the same, and Your years shall not fail.

1John 1:1-3  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show to you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested to us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.

Leviticus 17:11  For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.

Genesis 5:1-2  This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that GOD created man, in the likeness of GOD made He him; Male and female created He them (Genesis 2:7, 21-24); And blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

James 3:9  Therewith bless we GOD, even the Father; And therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude (G3669 from G3666 from 3664, resemblance, resemble; character; G3674 at the same place or time, from G260 denoting close association, together with) of GOD.

1Corinthians 11:7-9  For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, for as much as he is the image and glory of GOD: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman; But the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; But the woman for the man.

Ephesians 4:20-25  But we have not so learned Christ; If so be that you have heard Him, and have been taught by Him (Matthew 11:29 of 26-30, as the truth is in Jesus: That you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; That you put on the new man, which after GOD is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.

Colossians 3:10 of 8-11  But now put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all

1Corinthians 1:2 of 1-3  Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the Will of GOD, and Sosthenes our brother, unto the church of GOD which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ (G5547, From G5548 through the idea of contact, G5530, to furnish what is needed ) Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our LORD, both theirs and ours: Grace be with you, and peace, from GOD our Father, and from the LORD Jesus Christ.

Psalm 31:23-24  O love the LORD, all you His saints: for the LORD preserves the faithful, and plentifully rewards the proud doer. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all that hope in the LORD.

I shall for the time being leave this here as is, the LORD willing.

I am not sure how to share the study that I did about the blood that follows from the Father of our creation on throw all generations of humanity? I have it in a type of scripture short hand and that leaves me puzzled on how to write it out, though much of what is used has been shared already through the years of this study.

Christ within You .09

This morning I took a friend to a their doctor's appointment, while waiting I began reading Luke 1 and when I got to verse 50, something got my attention and I began a study of it. It dawned on me after I signed off on this that most of humanity misplaced their understanding of man's origin, as recorded in Genesis 2. Thereafter including the loss of our origin and knowledge of identity, by the death found in Genesis 3. For in Genesis 3 is where religion is first introduced as found in verse 15. This post will be mostly about what I found in Luke 1 verse 50, but first a look at King David's thoughts as found in the Psalms 119, the foundation of the Words importance.

Living According to God's Word:

You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word . . . Let my cry come before You, O LORD; Give me understanding according to Your word. (Ps. 119:65, 169)

Those who profess to live according to God's word will characteristically have this testimony. "You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word." This is true, because the word of God is to be our comprehensive source of the Lord's direction and of His provision. When God's mercy is applied to salvation or is it really our redemption which the much needed for, new life, one must turn to God's word. "Let Your mercies come also to me, O LORD—Your salvation according to Your word" (Ps. 119:41). When reviving is needed for those who have new life, one must again turn to God's word. "I am afflicted very much; Revive me, O LORD, according to Your word . . . My soul clings to the dust; Revive me according to Your word" (Ps. 119:107, 25). Whatever the need maybe, the Lord invites us to face it according to His word.

When we do not understand the issues of life that press painfully in upon us, it is again time to run to the Lord and His word. "Let my cry come before You, O LORD; Give me understanding according to Your word." So often, perplexity is our human plight. The word of the Lord can sort it all out.

Now for Luke 1:50 and what is revealed within it, beginning at verse 46 through 55 to capture the whole thought:

Luke 1:50 of 46-55 And Mary said, "My soul does magnify the LORD, and my spirit has rejoiced in GOD my Savior. For He has regard of my low estate of His handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For He that is mighty has done to me great things; And holy is His name. His mercy (Ps. 103:17) is on them that fear[1] Him from generation[2] to generation. He having shown strength with His arm; He having scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He has filled the hungry with good things; And the rich He has sent empty away. He has given help His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy; As He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever."

Now for [1] fear's meaning in the Strong's Greek Dictionary it is G5399, from G5409 meaning, to be in awe of, that is, revere; for Thayer's Greek for G5409, reverence for one’s husband, this takes us back to Ruth's kinsmen redeemer of Strong's H1350, to redeem (according to the Oriental law of kinship), that is, to be the next of kin.

Now for a Psalm 38:11, where King David speaks in this fashion, as he states this: "'My lovers and My friends stand aloof from My sore; And My kinsmen (H7138, From H7126; near (in place, kindred or time): - allied, approach, at hand, + any of kin, kinsfolk; H7126, be at hand, join, be near, offer, present, produce, make ready, stand) stand (H5975, means to stand, in various relations, to abide, in place and time) afar off.'" This is but one example of many of King David's seemingly being present in the Heavenliest place, over hearing what was spoken by the Father to His Son or son's, as first seen in Genesis 1:26-28 passage also reflects.

Here's [2] generation: The Strong's G1074, from G1085, an age (the period or the persons): - age, generation, nation, time. G1085 From G1096, “kin,” diversity, generation, kind (-red), nation, offspring, stock. G1096, A prolonged and middle form of a primary verb; to cause to be; be found, be fulfilled, grow, happen, have, be kept, be made, be married, be ordained to be, partake of.

I got excited by this find....!

Christ within You .08

Before I get started in our last section of study of Romans 8 and now the first thought of 29 through 9:5. I want to again call upon the insights of King David. For with man and man's many religions that have sprang up from the lost of the consciousness of our original identity as first seen in Genesis 2 to now have our identity restored by the work of our redemption, in the following:

King David Trusting in and Praising the Lord and His Word:

In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust . . . In God (I will praise His word), In the LORD (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust . . .For You have magnified Your word above all Your name. (Ps. 56:4, 10-11 and Ps. 138:2)

To live by His grace, we must trust the LORD. David urges others to trust the LORD. "Trust in the LORD . . . feed on His faithfulness . . . Commit your way to the LORD, Trust Him" (Ps. 37:3, 5). David himself trusted the LORD. "In God I have put my trust." Part of trusting the LORD involves holding His word in an exalted place (trusting in it, honoring it, praising it). David proclaimed, "I will praise His word." This is an inherent part of living by His grace and faithfulness, since it is "the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance" (Acts 20:32).

God's word is so trustworthy, and praiseworthy. David proclaimed the unique character of God's word, which gives the word its incomparable effectiveness. "The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul" (Ps. 19:7). God's word is fully sufficient. The LORD has left nothing out of it that we need for spiritual development. Therefore, they, by His Spirit can transform lives into what GOD wants them to be. Romans 12:2 is so vitally important; And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, Will of GOD is. To this Paul later stated this in; 2Corinthians 12:9  And the LORD said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you: for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest in me.

Furthermore, "The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple" (Ps. 19:7). The scriptures are absolutely reliable. They provide GOD'S indisputable insights into life on earth, as well as necessary preparation for heaven. Consequently, they bring the LORD'S wisdom to the naive and the open-minded.

Additionally, "The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the renewed heart" (Ps. 19:8). The Bible alone is irrefutably correct. Man's religions are perspectives, opinions, based on old religious systems, and theories are riddled with inaccuracies and fallacies. What a joy this brings to the inner man, knowing that there is a place to find the LORD'S absolute realities. Hidden deep within ourselves as in a vault, waiting the re-birthing from heaven.

Moreover, "The commandment of the LORD Jesus is pure, enlightening the eyes" (Ps. 19:8). GOD'S word is holy and untainted. Man's words are polluted and diluted by a sin consciousnesses that focuses on sin and self and all sorts of unrighteousness. When people feed on the contaminated words of humanity, their eyes become dull and lifeless. Contrariwise, when the words of the LORD are consistently taken in, as in eating of Jesus' flesh, one's eyes shine with heaven's light. Upon consideration of the unparalleled character and ability of God's word, it is no surprise that the Spirit of GOD inspired David to exclaim, "You have magnified Your word above all Your name."

Beginning at verse 29 on through 9:5:

Romans 8:29-9:5  For whom He did foreknow (G4267 from G1097 to know beforehand), He also did predestinate (G4309 from G3724, to mark out a boundary, to appoint) to be conformed (G4832 from G4862 meaning pro, before; and G3444; jointly formed, fashioned like) to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn (by water baptism through John the Baptizer) among many brethren. Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified. What shall we say to these things? If GOD be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of GOD'S elect? It is GOD that justifies. Who is he that condemnes? It is Christ that died, yes rather, that is risen again, Who is even at the right hand of GOD, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? That runs counteractive to GOD by man's religion.  As it is written in Psalm 44:22, "For Your sake we are killed all the day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loves us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of GOD, which we have in Christ Jesus the ascended LORD. I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness by the Holy Ghost, that I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: Who are Israelite's; to whom pertains the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the new law, and the service of GOD, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, Who is over all, GOD blessed for ever. Amen.

This for now concludes our study of Romans 8 and the first lines of chapter 9 put in it's proper place. Until the marrow in the LORD Christ within you be blessed and a blessing. For it is GOD Who works within us all to perfect His Will.

Christ within You .07

This thought will begin with verse 28 from our last entry, which reads as follows:

Romans 8:28-30 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called[1] according to His purpose. For whom He did foreknow[2], He also did predestinate[3] to be conformed[4] to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified[5].

In our last few studies we have used the records of King David's Psalm records...but will I do it again? Not sure.

[1] called; Genesis 50:20  But as for you, you thought evil against Me; but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore fear you not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And He comforted them, and spoke kindly to them.

Psalm 46:1-3 GOD is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear (be in raged, angry), though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.

Zechariah 13:9  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on My name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is My people: and they shall say, The LORD is my GOD.

2Corinthians 5:1-3  For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of GOD, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

Hebrews 12:6-12  For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. If we endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; For what son is he whom the father chastens not? But if we be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are we but bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have earthy fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits (this in Gen. 1:26-28), and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; But He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness for them which are exercised thereby. Therefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; But let it rather be healed.

[2]foreknew; Exodus 33:17  And the LORD said to Moses, 'I will do this thing also that you have spoken: for you hast found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.

Psalm 1:6  For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Jeremiah 1:5  Before I formed you in the belly (womb) I knew you; And before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.

2Timothy 2:19-20  Nevertheless the foundation of GOD stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are His. And, Let every one that name the name of Christ depart from iniquity. For in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; And some to honor, and some to dishonor.

1Pe 1:2-5  Elect according to the foreknowledge of GOD the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you, and peace, be multiplied. Blessed be the GOD and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy having begotten us again (the new birthing from above) to a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of GOD through His faith until salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Revelation 13:8-9  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship Him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear.

[3]predestinated; Ephesians 1:4-12  According as He having chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us to the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His Will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He having made us accepted in (by) the beloved. In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace; Therein He having abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known to us the mystery of His Will, according to His good pleasure which He had purposed in Himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him: In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him Who works all things after the counsel of His own Will: That we should be to the praise of His glory, Who first trusted (for it is Christ in us that They trusted) Christ.

1Peter 1:19-23  For with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, Who was manifest in these last times for you, who by Him do believe GOD, Who that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory; That your (using His) faith and hope might be found in GOD. Seeing we have purified your souls in obeying the Truth through the Spirit in unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word (Will) of GOD, which lives and abides for ever.

[4]conformed to His image; Romans 13:14 of 10-14  Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep (this being the effect of our total redemption, the acquiring of the renewed mind of Rom. 12:1-3): for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness (man's religions and their many systems and doctrines), and let us put on the armor of light (G5457 from G5457 from G5346 to make known, understanding). Let us walk honestly, as in the day; Not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

[5]called, justified, glorified; Ephesians 4:4 of 1-8 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you were called, with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. For there is one body, and one Spirit, even as we are called in one hope of our calling; One LORD, One faith, One baptism, One GOD and Father of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in us all. For every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore He said, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men. (in Psalm 68:18 and then again in Colossians 2:15)

1Corinthians 6:11 of 9-11 Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of GOD? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of GOD. And such were some of you: but you are washed, you are sanctified, you are justified in the name of the LORD Jesus, and by the Spirit of our GOD

Colossians 1:18 of 15-20  Who is the image of the invisible GOD, the firstborn of every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before (having preeminence) all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things to Himself; By Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Jesus is here speaking: John 17:22 of 20-24 'Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe Me through their word; That they all may be one; As You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us: that the world may believe that You have sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them; That they may be one, even as We are One: I in them, and You in Me, that they may be made perfect in One; That the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them, as You have loved Me. Father, I will that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am; That they may behold My glory, which You have given Me: for You loved Me as You have Loved them before the foundation of the world.

Romans 9:23 of 22-25  What if GOD, willing to show His wrath (G3709, a hot desire (as a reaching forth or excitement of the mind), and to make His power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of due wrath fitted to destruction: And that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had afore prepared (G4282, from G2090, to fit up in advance) for glory, even in us, whom He has called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? As He stated also by Hosea, 'I will call them My people, which were not My people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.' (Hosea 2:23 and in 1Peter 2:10)

Our next visit we shall the LORD Willing pick things up at verse 31. Until then may the Rest of GOD settle in into you and yours by Christ Jesus.

Christ within You .06

We are about to look at verses 26-27 which states this, picking up at verse 25 and ending with verse 28:

Romans 8:25  But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. For likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the Will of GOD. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love GOD, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

Now I want to look again at what King David reveals in Psalm 36 verses 7-10, 37:3-5 and Psalm 63:2-6, as an aid to our understanding of a great Truth of our relationship within the risen and ascended LORD.

Psalm 36:7-10  How excellent is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of Your house; You shall make them drink of the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life: in Your light shall we see light. O continue Your lovingkindness to them that know You; and Your righteousness to the upright in heart.

Psalm 37:3-5 Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.

Those who live by grace trust in God to work in their lives. We can see David's heart to live this way, as he urges others to trust in the Lord. "Trust in the LORD . . . feed on His faithfulness . . . Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him."

God wants His people to be characterized by goodness. Yet, King David affirmed that no one does good on their own. "There is none who does good, No, not one" (Ps. 14:3). So, for anyone to do good, the Lord must do a good work in and through their lives. Those who place their trust in the Lord find the will and the strength to do that which is good in the sight of God. "Trust in the LORD, and do good." To be faithful in doing good, God's people must be nurtured in God's faithfulness. "Dwell in the land (this means to be in His rest, Gen. 2:1-3), and feed on His faithfulness." Those who place their trust in a the faithfulness God become increasingly faithful servants of God.

Of course, the work of God in lives is centered in the heart of man. King David prayed for an undivided heart of reverential trust toward the Lord. "Unite my heart to fear (H3372, means  reverence) Your name" (Ps. 86:11). Everyone who is willing to let the Lord be the captivating joy of their inner man will have God Himself planting godly desires within their heart. "Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart." These implanted desires are then worked outward in godly living.

As this godliness is developing, we desire that the Lord's path for our lives would become increasingly evident. We have a growing interest in walking in the ways of the Lord. David had such a desire in his heart toward the Lord. "Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me" (Ps. 25:4-5; Mat. 11:26-30 this first seen in Gen. 1:1). The Lord teaches those who are willing to entrust their lives into His directing. "Commit your way (this the bearing of His yoke of learning of Him) to the LORD, Trust also in Him, For He shall bring it to pass." Those who do place their lives under the sovereign care of GOD enjoy the great privilege of having the LORD God almighty governing the very steps that they take day by day. (this thought taken from the e-Sword free down load available on the internet, and I have on a limited bases edited it as the Holy Spirit directs.)

Psalm 63:2-6  To see Your power and glory, so as I have seen You in the sanctuary (H6944, consecrated saints). Because Your lovingkindness (H2638, mercies, rarely reproof) is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus will I bless You while I live: I will lift up my hands in Your name (H8034, to memorialize, of individuality; honor, authority, character) . My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow (Leviticus 17:11) and fatness (H1880, abundance); And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips: When I remember You upon my bed, and meditate on You in the night watches.

When we can use the scriptures in the proper manner things begin to pop into place and make sense to us.

Christ within You .05

Okay, after doing our last subject of Romans 8:12-17, I did another look at the Psalms written by King David and what I found surprised me, as it links with the words of Jesus when He spoke of rivers of living waters flowing from those who would chose to walk with Him by taking up their cross on a daily bases or better yet would accept the yoke of learning of Him as spoken of in Matthew 11:26-30 (this yoke and learning is hidden in Genesis 1:1) or the abiding in Him and His abiding with us, surprisingly enough this is the main subject of John 15, here are the few that I have found:

John 12:46, 14:16, 15:4, 6-7, 10  "'I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes Me should not abide in darkness..... And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever;.....Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; No more can you, except you abide in Me....If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; And men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done for you....If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love; Even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.'"

Now for our look at Romans 8 which has the header of "Future Glory," now for18-25 which states this:

Romans 8:18-25  For I reckon that the sufferings (inflected upon Paul by the Jewish elders and Priests his former friends)[1] of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory[2] which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation[3] of the sons of GOD. For the creature was made subject to vanity (by the actions of Adam's slipping into deception's darkness, the lost of conscientiousness of his origin and true identity), not willingly, but by reason of him who having subjected the same in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of GOD. For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption (deliverance from sin's stain, the atonement..G629 a compound of G575 and G3083;) of our body. For we are saved (made whole, healed..G4982) by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it."

[1] sufferings, Matthew 5:11-12 'Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.'

2Corinthians 4:17-18  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; But the things which are not seen are eternal.

[2]glory,  Colossians 3:4-7  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall we also appear with Him in glory.  Therefore mortify your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience: In the which we also walked some time, when we lived in them.

2Thessalions 1:10-12  When He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our GOD would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of His faith with power: That the name of our LORD Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and we in Him, according to the grace of our GOD and the LORD Jesus Christ.

2Thessalions 2:14  Thereunto He called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

[3]manifestation, Malachi 3:17-18  'They shall be Mine,' says the LORD of Hosts, 'in that day when I make up My jewels; And I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him. Then shall I return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves GOD and him that serves Him not.'

1John 3:2-3  Beloved, now are we the sons of GOD, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; For we shall see Him as (in a mirror, face to face) He is. And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as He is pure.

We shall the LORD willing look at verses 26-27 in our next visit, and know that there are many confirming passages in the OT and NT for that which we have just look at. I'll let you if you will do your own investigations.

Christ within You .04

We are making progress in our study of Romans 8. Are next section begins at verse 12 and goes through 17 and it is titled in many Bibles as our being:

Heirs with Christ:

Romans 8:12-17  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if we live after the flesh, we shall die: but if we through the Spirit we mortify (Romans 12:1-3, with the other references to Jesus' own words dealing with our taking up of our cross daily) the deeds of the body, we shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of GOD, they are the sons of GOD. For we have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear (this fostered by man's religion in which billions are now snared and held captives and slaves, as shown in John's book of Revelation); But we have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of GOD: and if children, then heirs; heirs of GOD, and joint-heirs with Christ; If it be that we suffer (the religious persecutions) with Him, that we may be also glorified together.

Even King David learned of the Lord's Lovingkindness

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house. (Psalm 36:7-8)

We have been meditating from Old Testament passages in the Psalms for a few months now, and upon God's lovingkindness (a term very much like the word grace in the New Testament). We have been considering verses from David's life and testimony. David treasured the lovingkindness of the Lord. "How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!" An understanding of the far-reaching implications and applications of the Lord's lovingkindness our steadfast love, gave him this perspective. David learned that the Lord's lovingkindness (His zealous, steadfast love for His people) drew hearts to seek GOD for His gracious protection. "Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings." David also knew that God's lovingkindness fully satisfies hungry hearts that seek the Lord's fullness. "They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house."

Man is so needy, and God has so much to give. The needs of man could hardly be overstated. The resources of God could only be understated. Words like emptiness and deficiency describe humanity, snared and trapped by man's religious systems and programs, based on the workings of the flesh. Words like fullness and abundance describe our God.

Man begins his human existence in spiritual bankruptcy (born in sin and ready to pursue ungodliness). "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me . . . The wicked are estranged from the womb; They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies" (Psalm 51:5 and 58:3). For these desperate needs, the LORD has forgiveness by our being redeemed from them and more awaiting salvation, our departing. "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered . . . The LORD is . . . my salvation" (Psalm 32:1 and 18:2). Yet, once redeemed, man still must not look to himself, nor to the world from which he came.

"My soul thirsts for You . . . in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water" (Psalm 63:1). The Lord must be our new supply for the new man. Like David, we must find what we need from "the fullness of [God's] house." When we look to God's fullness to replace our inadequacy, we will find today the same spiritual satisfaction that David testified about long ago. "My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness (this hidden in Leviticus 17:11 and acknowledged in Hebrews 13:10 with 1John 5), and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips" (Psalm 63:5). We also will rejoice, because we will be "abundantly satisfied."

This one seemed to be very short as it's message is simple. But the LORD awakened me to more of Him early this morning. I shall look at verses 19-26 and then 27-29, and 30-9:4.

Christ within You .03

In our last visit to Romans 7 and 8 verse 1-8 Paul shared the beginning of our new way of life first by use of marriage and then his own struggles with the awaken Christ within him, by doing this he also set up our next few verse of this transformed spiritual Christ life, that was resident within us from before time began or the foundations of the world were laid. This can be seen in Genesis 1:26-28 where a conversation between El, the Son...Christ and the Spirit is recorded. To see this we must look at the Hebrews name record of H430, H433, H410 to grab hold of this as it is also revealed in Leviticus 17:10 as "the Life in the blood" and "the Altar" of our divine worship is revealed. Now one more example can be seen in King David's records of the Psalms a few of them are Psalm 17:7, 36:10, 63:3 and 143:8 all revealing the loving kindness of Christ. Now a good Bible study book should have noted cross reference passages listen beside the verse or in a center column grouping to show relationship of verses that confirm the subject. Okay, now for the text of 9-11:

Romans 8:9-11 "But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God[1] dwells in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ[2], he is none of His. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; But the spirit of Christ's Spirit is life because of righteousness[3]. But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken[4] your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you."

Now there are many related passages for [1] but I'll use a shorten from "the Spirit of GOD" one such passage is 1Cor. 3:16 which states this beginning at verse 14:

1Co 3:16 of 14-17  "If any man's work abides which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; Yet so as by fire. Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; For the temple of God is holy, which temple we are."

Then we have Romans 7:5 this being a contrast against the first passage, beginning at verse 4, for the purpose of waking us up, bring us all to consciousnesses again:

Romans 7:5 of 4-6 "Wherefore, my brethren, you also are become dead to the old law by the body of Christ; That you should be married to another, even to Him Who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the old law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit to death. But now we are delivered from the old law, that being dead wherein we were held; That we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter."

Our next passage is [2] "the Spirit of Christ" which has John 3:34, 14:23, 1Cor. 6:16 and 1Peter 1:11 which state this:

John 3:34 of 31-36  'He that come from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth: He that come from heaven is above all. And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no man receives His testimony. He that has received His testimony has set to his seal that God is true. For He Whom God having sent speaks the words of God: for God gives not the Spirit by measure to Him. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He that believes the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; For the wrath of God abide on him.'

John 14:23 of 18-24 'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world sees Me no more; But you shall see Me: because I live, you shall live also. At that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He that has My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.' Judas saith to Him, not Iscariot, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answering said to him, 'If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him. He that loves Me not keeps not My sayings: and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's which sent Me.'

1Corinthians 6:16 of 14-17 And God has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by His own power. Know you not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? Know you not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? For two, said He, shall be one flesh.(Genesis 2:21-24) But he that is joined to the LORD is one spirit.

1Peter 1:11 of 10-12  Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come to you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. To whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they did minister the things, which are now reported to you by them that have preached the gospel to you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; Which things the angels desire to look into.

Our next subject is [3] righteousness: here's the passages Rom. 5:21; 2Cor. 5:21; Php. 3:9

Romans 5:21 of 18-21  Therefore (Paul points us to what he had already stated prior to this thought by using "therefore") as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; Even so by the righteousness of one the free gift comes upon all men to justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace does much more abound: that as sin having reigned unto death, even so grace shall reign through righteousness to eternal life by Jesus Christ our LORD.

2Corinthians 5:21 of 19-21  To wit, that GOD was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; And has committed to us the word of reconciliation (this the promised atonement, or at-one-meant of G2643). Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be you reconciled to God.  For He has made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; That we might be made the righteousness of God by Him.

Philippians 3:9 of 7-11  But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yes! doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my LORD: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the old law, but that which is through the faith in Christ, the righteousness which is of GOD by His faith: that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings (this the taking up of our cross on a daily bases), being made conformable to His death; If by any means I might attain the resurrection of the dead.

Okay, [4] is next up here's one from the OT first:

Ezekiel 37:14  I shall put My spirit in you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land (of rest): then shall you know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, says the LORD.

1Corinthians 6:14-15  GOD has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by His own power. Know you not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot (religion here spoken of)? God forbid.

1Corinthians 15:19-22  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of them that slept (remain as Adam as seen in Genesis 3 and life thereafter until Christ changed the lay of the land to that of rest). For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection (the awakening, recovery, raised to life again) of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Okay, with our next visiting we shall the LORD willing look at Romans 8:12-17.

Christ within You .02

Before I move forward I must back up into chapter 7 of Romans where Paul draws us into the marriage relationship and the freedom that a widow or widower has after their life long partner dies. And how liberating this freedom can be. He draws out the conflict of two natures at work within man. Here's what is stated:

Romans 7:14-25 "For we know that the new law in Christ is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; But what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent to the Mosaic Law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: for to will is present with me; But how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a new law (in my members), that, when I would do good, evil is exposed and present with me. For I delight in the new law of God after the inward man: But I see another law now in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the old law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank GOD through Jesus Christ our LORD! So then with the mind I myself serve the new law of God (is Christ); But with the flesh the old law of sin. For we know that the new law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold (a slave) under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; But what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent to the old law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: for to will is present within me; But how to perform that which is better I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that does it, but sin that dwells in me. I find the new law in Christ, that, when I would do the better thing, evil is present with me. For I delight in the new law of God after the inward man (Christ): But I see another better law in my members, warring against the now old law of my mind, and bringing me again to captivity to the old law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank GOD through Jesus Christ our LORD. So then with the mind I myself serve the new law of God; But with the flesh the old law of sin."

Paul here is explaining those things common to all men everywhere and in his case more so, because he was a Pharisee's Pharisee and a lawyer of the Mosaic Law. Yet after his conversion the awakened Christ within him he still struggles with who he was with who he now has become. I know by personally experience this even though I was no where near to his background and education levels. Now for the deeper look into what Romans 8 holds for us. Beginning at verse 1 through 8 which states this, and is now more understandable after reading chapter 7's out take:

Romans 8:1-8 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the new law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the old law of sin and death. For what the old law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the new law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; But they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; But to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity (minding the flesh, hostility) against GOD: for it is not subject to the new law (Christ activated within) of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."

What Paul reveals is what hinders millions if not billions faithful church attenders of today's people having a troubled understanding mindset of perception this generated by a spirit understanding of the old standards based on false blurred perceptions fostered by man's religious platitudes. Paul in Romans 7 using marriage as the key with the loss of a wife or husband, freedom comes suddenly, and the first 8 verses of chapter 8 describes them quite well. As we have seen, he being a Pharisee's Pharisee had three mind numbing obstacles....false perceptions to overcome after his own encounter with the light, life and love from above (in Acts 9). All three of the old guard were well entrenched in his mind and thusly his reasoning abilities were greatly diminished, handicapped and hindered. Especially after being born a new from the light, life and love, Christ, that he had recently encountered that now was at work within him, as never before known by him. Why? Because he had been hamstrung by both his religion and legal backgrounds. Oh! His childhood teachings had been well established through brainwashing to only see what he had been programmed to think and see.

Now the Spirit of Christ released within him was destroying all of these misguided falsehoods of perceptions, as he describes them in verses 1-8 of chapter 8.

We shall indever to follow this theme through the rest of the verses of chapter 8 to see why I get so upset when I hear fear, condemnation by hell fire proclaimed by professing believers, who clearly are but blank spots. As they clearly have not heard these things....love, life and light; The origin of our being now actives by our joint identity of Jesus' humanity and the gifting of Christ's reawakening. Revival, rebirth, re-genesised, being again from above, new birth...redeemed restored to health...by His stripes we are the healed.(Isaiah 53:5, Galatians 2:20, Hosea 6:1-3)

Christ within You .01

For me and those who have been reading this blog know and understand the effects of our death, burial, descent into the abyss, the resurrection and ascension of our joint being as Christ ones in the humanity of our LORD Jesus. The veil (Matthew 27:51) of the secret things of GOD and mysteries of Christ having been torn into two separate pieces by GOD'S hand. This veil symbolic of the old and the beginning of a new and living way eliminating the old void of false (religious) separation between GOD and His humanity. The true reason that the Temple of David was torn down by the Romans some 65 years later and the stones scattered about.

For some time now I have been pondering what to write and say about those who have no earthly idea of their true status of life after death as a resurrected born again Christ one this being humanity's true identity redeemed by the actions of the Cross and all that Christ Jesus went through on our behalf, from child birthing through His mission and ministry. First as the son of man (our humanity) and second as the Son of GOD (the second Adam), both of these are who we are and have been since before time or the earth become spoken into being. The disciple (a student of Christ) John in 1John 5:7 clarifies the little known trinity nature of GOD (this vehemently denied by the Hebrews), as being Father, Son..Christ, and Spirit most Holy and True. This first introduced in Genesis 1:1 where the ancients changed the ancient name or letter reference of GOD as Elohiym this made up of three parts H430, H433 and H410. John identifies the H433 as being Christ, this is also hidden in Genesis 1:26-28 by the words image and likeness in....While Leviticus 17:11 tells us that Life is in the blood with an altar, this repeated in Hebrews 13:10 and explained by John in 1John 5:1-4 the operation of Love, and 5-12 the operation of the Spirit of Truth, 13-15, 16-17, 18-20 this written that we may know.

Okay, so now for the areas of my intention this being within the context of Romans 8, for that I shall do a copy and paste first with the subheadings and then either a word study or a verse study or maybe both.

Life in the Spirit:

Romans 8:1-8, 9-11, 12-17, 18-25, 26-27, 28-30, 31-9:5  "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit is life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law's condemnation of sin and death. For what this law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of (the divine) law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (having experiences rebirth). For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; For they that are after the Spirit mind the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; For to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Rom 8:9-11  For we are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; For the Spirit is Life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead has also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.

Heirs with Christ:

Rom 8:12-17  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if we live after the flesh, we shall die: but if we through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body (this the taking up of our cross daily as a living sacrifice), we shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God (you must be born from above, born again, John 1:13, 3:3, 6), they are the sons of God. For we have not received the spirit of (religious) bondage again to fear; But have received the Spirit of adoption (John 1:13), whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; Heirs of God, and joint-heirs within Christ; If so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.

Future, no, present Glory:

Rom 8:18-25  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us (this is not at some future date or time, but rather NOW). For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God (the after effects of our joint resurrection). For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Him Who has subjected the same in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body (this being salvation not our redemption). For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for? For if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Rom 8:26-27  Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities (lack of vision, lack of insight, lack of inspiritation): for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. And He that searches the heart knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the Will (Word, law) of God.

Rom 8:28-30  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestinated, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justifies: and whom He justifies, them He also glorifies.

God's Everlasting Love:

Rom 8:31-39, 9:1-5  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifies. Who is He that condemns? It is Christ that died, yes rather, that is risen again, Who is even at the right hand of God, Who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? I think not!  As it is written, "For your sake we are killed all the day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." (Ps. 44:22) For, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loves us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our LORD.

God's Sovereign Choice:
Rom 9:1-5  I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, that I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: Who are Israelis; To whom pertains the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the comments, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, Who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen."

Don't know at this point which way I may be led.
