Christ within You .03

In our last visit to Romans 7 and 8 verse 1-8 Paul shared the beginning of our new way of life first by use of marriage and then his own struggles with the awaken Christ within him, by doing this he also set up our next few verse of this transformed spiritual Christ life, that was resident within us from before time began or the foundations of the world were laid. This can be seen in Genesis 1:26-28 where a conversation between El, the Son...Christ and the Spirit is recorded. To see this we must look at the Hebrews name record of H430, H433, H410 to grab hold of this as it is also revealed in Leviticus 17:10 as "the Life in the blood" and "the Altar" of our divine worship is revealed. Now one more example can be seen in King David's records of the Psalms a few of them are Psalm 17:7, 36:10, 63:3 and 143:8 all revealing the loving kindness of Christ. Now a good Bible study book should have noted cross reference passages listen beside the verse or in a center column grouping to show relationship of verses that confirm the subject. Okay, now for the text of 9-11:

Romans 8:9-11 "But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God[1] dwells in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ[2], he is none of His. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; But the spirit of Christ's Spirit is life because of righteousness[3]. But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken[4] your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you."

Now there are many related passages for [1] but I'll use a shorten from "the Spirit of GOD" one such passage is 1Cor. 3:16 which states this beginning at verse 14:

1Co 3:16 of 14-17  "If any man's work abides which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; Yet so as by fire. Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; For the temple of God is holy, which temple we are."

Then we have Romans 7:5 this being a contrast against the first passage, beginning at verse 4, for the purpose of waking us up, bring us all to consciousnesses again:

Romans 7:5 of 4-6 "Wherefore, my brethren, you also are become dead to the old law by the body of Christ; That you should be married to another, even to Him Who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the old law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit to death. But now we are delivered from the old law, that being dead wherein we were held; That we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter."

Our next passage is [2] "the Spirit of Christ" which has John 3:34, 14:23, 1Cor. 6:16 and 1Peter 1:11 which state this:

John 3:34 of 31-36  'He that come from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth: He that come from heaven is above all. And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no man receives His testimony. He that has received His testimony has set to his seal that God is true. For He Whom God having sent speaks the words of God: for God gives not the Spirit by measure to Him. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He that believes the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; For the wrath of God abide on him.'

John 14:23 of 18-24 'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world sees Me no more; But you shall see Me: because I live, you shall live also. At that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He that has My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.' Judas saith to Him, not Iscariot, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answering said to him, 'If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him. He that loves Me not keeps not My sayings: and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's which sent Me.'

1Corinthians 6:16 of 14-17 And God has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by His own power. Know you not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? Know you not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? For two, said He, shall be one flesh.(Genesis 2:21-24) But he that is joined to the LORD is one spirit.

1Peter 1:11 of 10-12  Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come to you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. To whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they did minister the things, which are now reported to you by them that have preached the gospel to you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; Which things the angels desire to look into.

Our next subject is [3] righteousness: here's the passages Rom. 5:21; 2Cor. 5:21; Php. 3:9

Romans 5:21 of 18-21  Therefore (Paul points us to what he had already stated prior to this thought by using "therefore") as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; Even so by the righteousness of one the free gift comes upon all men to justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace does much more abound: that as sin having reigned unto death, even so grace shall reign through righteousness to eternal life by Jesus Christ our LORD.

2Corinthians 5:21 of 19-21  To wit, that GOD was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; And has committed to us the word of reconciliation (this the promised atonement, or at-one-meant of G2643). Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be you reconciled to God.  For He has made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; That we might be made the righteousness of God by Him.

Philippians 3:9 of 7-11  But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yes! doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my LORD: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the old law, but that which is through the faith in Christ, the righteousness which is of GOD by His faith: that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings (this the taking up of our cross on a daily bases), being made conformable to His death; If by any means I might attain the resurrection of the dead.

Okay, [4] is next up here's one from the OT first:

Ezekiel 37:14  I shall put My spirit in you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land (of rest): then shall you know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, says the LORD.

1Corinthians 6:14-15  GOD has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by His own power. Know you not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot (religion here spoken of)? God forbid.

1Corinthians 15:19-22  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of them that slept (remain as Adam as seen in Genesis 3 and life thereafter until Christ changed the lay of the land to that of rest). For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection (the awakening, recovery, raised to life again) of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Okay, with our next visiting we shall the LORD willing look at Romans 8:12-17.
