Christ within You .010.5

Within the scriptures context of the last blog post we looked at Jeremiah 17:5, 7-8 and Isaiah 57:15-16, 18-19 and highlighted the portions of interest. In this post I shall look at a few key words of Isaiah 57:15 and 18 using the LXX and the Strong's Word Dictionary's Hebrew (H....) with some referenced passages and these not in any order of use.

inhabits (H7931, dwell, abide, rest, habitation)

eternity (H5703, repeat, witness, again, until)

dwell (H7931, to stay, abide, inhabit, rest)

contrite (H1793, seed crushed, broken)

humble (H8217, low, base)

spirit (H7307, path, travel, breath, courage, enlargement)

revive (H2421, live, life; quicken, recover)

heart (3820, think, authority inside, understanding, friendly)

contrite (H1792, seed, crush, bruise)

Now for a few scripture references, first verse 15, whose name is Holy: Job 6:10, Luke 1:49;

I dwell in: Psalm 68:4, Zechariah 2:13;

with him of contrite and humble spirit: Psalm 34:18:

Now for verse 18 of chapter 15 of Isaiah:

I will heal (H7495, man open, repair,cure)

I will lead (H5148,  guide, rest, bestow, straiten)

restore (H7999, complete, a state of wholeness, restitution)

comforts (H5150, regret, to have sorrow for an action)

mourners (H57, flow, a flowing of certainty - surely)

Now for a few passages of referenced verses of 18, I will lead him, Psalm 73:24, guide me Isaiah 58:8, and receive me John 14:3 and 2Corinthians 5:1

Now for a few lose passages:

Psalm 113: 4-7, James 4:6, Psalm 97:9, Exodus 15:11, Isaiah 66:1-2, 1Kings 8:27, Psalm 138:6-7, 34:18 and 147:3

Now there are many more of that I am sure but if your willing to do your part you'll gain much more than If I shared them all with a copy and paste of them.

Christ within You .010.4

Because of my delay in doing another post I will do a short recap of grounds already covered by way of refreshing of a few passages. These taken from me e-Sword digital study Bible and what Pastor Hoekstra has covered from Jeremiah 17 and then Isaiah 57.

Thus says the LORD: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength . . . Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; For her leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit. (Jeremiah 17:5, 7-8)

When we consider Jeremiah's contrasting the two options on trust. As we note, that there are only two choices: man or GOD. When man is the object of our hope, the result is the curse of spiritual barrenness. "Cursed is the man who trusts in man." Contrariwise, when GOD is the object of our dependence, the result is great blessing. "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD."

The spiritual blessing comes from trusting in the LORD Jesus is likened to a tree that is growing by the continual flow of a river. "For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters." The riverside is the ideal location for developing a flourishing tree. Trusting in the LORD is the only setting in which a flourishing spiritual life can be developed. A tree that is located by the river sends out its roots to take in more and more life-giving water: "which spreads out its roots by the river." The Christian who is hoping in the Lord finds the life his inner man cherishes, and he reaches out for more of that life for which he yearns.

When the heat of drought comes, it is a dreadful threat to plant-life (unless the plant is located beside a sufficient river). When the heat of battle or impossible circumstances arise, they can pose a fearful threat. Even a child of GOD is tempted to be anxious. However, if the LORD is our hope, we "will not fear when heat comes . . . and will not be anxious in the year of drought." Instead, we will continue in growth and spiritual fruitfulness. "Her leaf will be green, and will not . . . cease from yielding fruit."
What radically different results come from trusting in GOD (instead of hoping in man). We receive spiritual blessing (instead of a cursing). Our spiritual life is like a luxuriant tree beside a river (instead of like a shrub in the desert). We experience the grace resources of God (instead of the flesh resources of man).

GOD resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble . . . through whom also we have access by His faith into this grace in which we stand. (James 4:6 and Romans 5:2)

Our growing in the grace of GOD, we have examined various areas of biblical truth: such as, the Old Covenant of law, the New Covenant of grace, GOD'S sufficiency for godly living, living by the promises of GOD, and Old Testament saints who lived by GOD'S grace. Now, we turn to an extended consideration of how we avail ourselves of the glorious riches of GOD'S Grace. As noted in our studies, God's grace is accessed through humility and our trusting His faithfulness.

If we desire to live by GOD'S Grace, we must be willing to renounce pride and to walk in humility, this silently stipulated in our bearing up our cross on a daily bases as requested by Jesus and repeated by Paul in Romans 12:1-3 where we also find the renewal of our mind found. "GOD resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." The Lord is opposed to the path of self-sufficiency, the trusting in the arm of flesh. When we pridefully assume that we can produce the kind of life GOD calls us to live, spiritual progress is prevented. Humility involves agreeing with GOD'S pronouncements concerning our inadequacies. "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves" (2Corinthians 3:5). The person who is willing to walk humbly before the LORD has an accurate understanding of our comprehensive need for the LORD to work in and through our lives. "Without Me you can do nothing" (John 15:5).

Along with humility regarding ourselves, GOD wants us to walk in His faith regarding Him. The LORD wants to work in our lives by His incomparable grace. Faith accesses grace: "through Whom [Jesus] also we have access by His faith into this grace in which we stand." The LORD is pleased by the path of "Christ-dependency."

"'For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones; For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before Me, and the souls which I have made.....I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners. I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.'" (Isaiah 57:15-16, 18-19)

GOD delights in pouring out His grace (The Holy Spirit) into humble hearts. "GOD . . . gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). What a remarkable arrangement this involves. The GOD Who dwells on high in heaven above wants to also indwell those of the humble and contrite heart here on earth below.

Our great GOD, the true and living GOD, is high and lofty. "For thus says the High and Lofty One." He is exalted. "For You, LORD, are most high above all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods" (Psalm 97:9). He rules far above, and completely over, every valid authority and every false god. Also, eternity is His rightful habitation: "Who inhabits eternity." Furthermore, Holiness is His essential character: "Whose name is Holy." Among all professed powers or spiritual usurpers, none is like our Holy LORD. "Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in Holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?" (Exodus 15:11).

In light of His Holy and eternal character, it follows that He would make this proclamation: "I dwell in the high and holy place." Beyond the atmospheric heavens, beyond the stellar heavens, the LORD God dwells in the heaven of heavens. In this spiritual dimension beyond time and space, the fullness of the LORD'S presence is known. Yet, He is even greater than this "third heaven" itself. "Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool . . . Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You" (Isaiah 66:1 and 1Kings 8:27).

The LORD Jesus is high, lofty, holy, and eternal. These truths impact us with awe and reverence. Yet, there is a corollary truth that brings us encouragement and hope (even though it seems almost contradictory). "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit." God essentially dwells on high, but He also desires to indwell man here below. Who is the person that experiences the LORD'S dwelling with them? Such communion with GOD is for the contrite and humble. The LORD wants to make Himself known in contrite and meek / humble hearts in order to bring them spiritual revitalization: "to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."

This is now our bases for further examination of what is to flow the LORD Willing, in .010.5.

Christ within You .010.3

I am about to do a copy and paste from my e-Sword Bible Study program with a thought shared therein by Pastor Hoekstra, as an introduction to the next few postings:

God Dwelling with the Humble and Contrite:

For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." (Isaiah 57:15)

God delights in pouring out His grace into humble hearts. "God . . . gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). What a remarkable arrangement this involves. The GOD Who dwells on high in heaven above wants to also dwell within the humble here on earth below.

In light of His Holy and eternal character, it follows that He would make this proclamation: "I dwell in the High and Holy place." Beyond the atmospheric heavens, beyond the stellar heavens, the LORD dwells in the heaven of heavens. In this spiritual dimension beyond time and space, the fullness of the LORD'S presence is known. Yet, He is even greater than this "third heaven" itself. "Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool . . . Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You" (Isa. 66:1 and 1Ki. 8:27).

The LORD of lords is High, lofty, Holy, and eternal. These truths impacts us with awe and reverence. Yet, there is a corollary Truth that brings us encouragement and hope (even though it seems almost contradictory). "I dwell in the High and Holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit." GOD essentially dwells on High, but He also desires to dwell within man here below. Who is the person that experiences the LORD-Spirit dwelling with them? Such communion with GOD is for the contrite and humble. The LORD wants to make Himself known in the contrite of heart and meek hearts in order to bring them spiritual revitalization: "to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."

O LORD God, I worship You as high, lofty, holy, and eternal. I exalt You as above all and ruling over all. Yet, I praise You for desiring to dwell within me here on earth below. I humble myself before You, confessing my need for spiritual revitalization, in Jesus name, Amen."

It is said that after his conversion that Smith Widglesworth prayed for the Spirit of Holiness to fill him and that he sat for days in prayer waiting for this in anticipation of it taking place as requested of him. Based on this I shall over the next few posts do some further studies as this fits like a glove what we have been sharing all along. Jesus opened the door of this event and has given to us keys to effect this for ourselves, by the Spirit of His Holiness.

Christ within You .010.2

We're continuing with our at the blood line from it's original starting place in the Father of Spirits as the Life in the blood  of Leviticus 17:11.

For this I want to begin with the Mirror Study Bible's rendition of John 14:1-6 as follows:

John 14:1-6 Jesus is speaking: 'Set your troubled hearts at ease by letting your belief concludes in GOD as you rest your confidence in Me. What makes My Father's house, is your place in it! If this was not the ultimate conclusion of My mission why would I even bother to do what I am about to do if it was not to prepare a place for you? I have come to persuade you of a place of seamless union where you belong. The proportions of what I will accomplish are astonishing! I will prepare a highway for you, just as in the Oriental custom,  where people would go before a king to level the road to make it possible for royalty to journey with ease and comfort. By fully identifying Myself with you I would fully identify you with Me so that  you may be completely at home where I am! In fact, you have always known this way and when all this is leading Me and where I am taking you.' Thomas said, "No, we don't get it; We have no idea where You are going with this - how could we possibly have known the way?" Jesus answered, 'My I-am-ness [is mirrored in you] is your way; This is your truth and also your life! Every single person can now come freely face to face with the Father entirely because of My doing.'"

Here's how it reads in the KJV:

John 14:1-7 Jesus is speaking: 'Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in GOD, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.' To this Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we know not where You go; And how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me. If you had known Me, you should have known My Father also: and from henceforth you know Him, and have seen Him.'

Now for another look back; GOD resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble . . . through whom also we have access by [Their, GOD'S] faith into this grace in which we stand. (James 4:6 and Roman 5:2; Matthew 10:36-38, 16:24, Mark 8:34, 10:21, Luke 9:23, 14:26-27; Romans 12:1-2)
Thus far in our daily meditations on growing in the grace of GOD, we have examined various areas of biblical truth: such as, the Old Covenant of Mosaic Law, the New Covenant of grace, GOD'S sufficiency for godly living, living by the promises of GOD, and Old Testament saints who live by GOD'S grace. Now, we return to an extended consideration of how we avail ourselves of the glorious riches of GOD'S grace. As noted earlier in our studies, GOD'S grace is accessed through humility and faith.

If we desire to live by GOD'S grace, we must be willing to renounce pride and to walk in humility, by the taking up of our cross on a daily bases as set out by Jesus. "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." The LORD is opposed to the path of self-sufficiency. When we pridefully assume that we can produce the kind of life GOD calls us to live, spiritual progress is prevented. Humility involves agreeing with GOD'S pronouncements concerning our inadequacies, these brought about by man's religions. "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves" (2Corinthians 3:5). The person who is willing to walk humbly before / with the LORD has an accurate understanding of our comprehensive need for the LORD to work in and through our lives. "'Without Me you can do nothing.'" (John 15:5).

Christ within You .010.1

From the last post where this was stated: the blood that follows from the Father of our creation,,,ie..beginning, on throw all generations of humanity? I have it in a type of scripture short hand written my outline and that leaves me puzzled on how to write it out, though much of what is used has been shared already through the years of this study.

In 1John 4:1-6, 7-21; 5:1-6, 7-13, 14-21; we find these things explained.

Hosea 13:14, Galatians 4:56, Titus 2:14, Micah 4:10d

Now for a passage by passage examination:

Genesis 1:1  In the beginningH7225 GodH430 createdH1254 (H853) the heavenH8064 and the earth.H776

H430; H1254 (H853) Proverbs 8:22-24 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; When there were no fountains abounding with water.

Psalm 100:3  Know you that the LORD He is GOD: it is He that has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

John 1:1-3  In the beginning was the Word (H430), and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with GOD. All things were made by Him; And without Him was not any thing made that was made.

Hebrews 1:10-12  And, You, LORD, in the beginning have laid the foundation of the earth; And the heavens are the works of Your hands: They shall perish; but You remain; and they all shall wax old as does a garment; And as a vesture shall You fold them up, and they shall be changed: but You are the same, and Your years shall not fail.

1John 1:1-3  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show to you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested to us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.

Leviticus 17:11  For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.

Genesis 5:1-2  This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that GOD created man, in the likeness of GOD made He him; Male and female created He them (Genesis 2:7, 21-24); And blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

James 3:9  Therewith bless we GOD, even the Father; And therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude (G3669 from G3666 from 3664, resemblance, resemble; character; G3674 at the same place or time, from G260 denoting close association, together with) of GOD.

1Corinthians 11:7-9  For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, for as much as he is the image and glory of GOD: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman; But the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; But the woman for the man.

Ephesians 4:20-25  But we have not so learned Christ; If so be that you have heard Him, and have been taught by Him (Matthew 11:29 of 26-30, as the truth is in Jesus: That you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; That you put on the new man, which after GOD is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.

Colossians 3:10 of 8-11  But now put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all

1Corinthians 1:2 of 1-3  Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the Will of GOD, and Sosthenes our brother, unto the church of GOD which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ (G5547, From G5548 through the idea of contact, G5530, to furnish what is needed ) Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our LORD, both theirs and ours: Grace be with you, and peace, from GOD our Father, and from the LORD Jesus Christ.

Psalm 31:23-24  O love the LORD, all you His saints: for the LORD preserves the faithful, and plentifully rewards the proud doer. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all that hope in the LORD.

I shall for the time being leave this here as is, the LORD willing.

I am not sure how to share the study that I did about the blood that follows from the Father of our creation on throw all generations of humanity? I have it in a type of scripture short hand and that leaves me puzzled on how to write it out, though much of what is used has been shared already through the years of this study.

Christ within You .09

This morning I took a friend to a their doctor's appointment, while waiting I began reading Luke 1 and when I got to verse 50, something got my attention and I began a study of it. It dawned on me after I signed off on this that most of humanity misplaced their understanding of man's origin, as recorded in Genesis 2. Thereafter including the loss of our origin and knowledge of identity, by the death found in Genesis 3. For in Genesis 3 is where religion is first introduced as found in verse 15. This post will be mostly about what I found in Luke 1 verse 50, but first a look at King David's thoughts as found in the Psalms 119, the foundation of the Words importance.

Living According to God's Word:

You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word . . . Let my cry come before You, O LORD; Give me understanding according to Your word. (Ps. 119:65, 169)

Those who profess to live according to God's word will characteristically have this testimony. "You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word." This is true, because the word of God is to be our comprehensive source of the Lord's direction and of His provision. When God's mercy is applied to salvation or is it really our redemption which the much needed for, new life, one must turn to God's word. "Let Your mercies come also to me, O LORD—Your salvation according to Your word" (Ps. 119:41). When reviving is needed for those who have new life, one must again turn to God's word. "I am afflicted very much; Revive me, O LORD, according to Your word . . . My soul clings to the dust; Revive me according to Your word" (Ps. 119:107, 25). Whatever the need maybe, the Lord invites us to face it according to His word.

When we do not understand the issues of life that press painfully in upon us, it is again time to run to the Lord and His word. "Let my cry come before You, O LORD; Give me understanding according to Your word." So often, perplexity is our human plight. The word of the Lord can sort it all out.

Now for Luke 1:50 and what is revealed within it, beginning at verse 46 through 55 to capture the whole thought:

Luke 1:50 of 46-55 And Mary said, "My soul does magnify the LORD, and my spirit has rejoiced in GOD my Savior. For He has regard of my low estate of His handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For He that is mighty has done to me great things; And holy is His name. His mercy (Ps. 103:17) is on them that fear[1] Him from generation[2] to generation. He having shown strength with His arm; He having scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He has filled the hungry with good things; And the rich He has sent empty away. He has given help His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy; As He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever."

Now for [1] fear's meaning in the Strong's Greek Dictionary it is G5399, from G5409 meaning, to be in awe of, that is, revere; for Thayer's Greek for G5409, reverence for one’s husband, this takes us back to Ruth's kinsmen redeemer of Strong's H1350, to redeem (according to the Oriental law of kinship), that is, to be the next of kin.

Now for a Psalm 38:11, where King David speaks in this fashion, as he states this: "'My lovers and My friends stand aloof from My sore; And My kinsmen (H7138, From H7126; near (in place, kindred or time): - allied, approach, at hand, + any of kin, kinsfolk; H7126, be at hand, join, be near, offer, present, produce, make ready, stand) stand (H5975, means to stand, in various relations, to abide, in place and time) afar off.'" This is but one example of many of King David's seemingly being present in the Heavenliest place, over hearing what was spoken by the Father to His Son or son's, as first seen in Genesis 1:26-28 passage also reflects.

Here's [2] generation: The Strong's G1074, from G1085, an age (the period or the persons): - age, generation, nation, time. G1085 From G1096, “kin,” diversity, generation, kind (-red), nation, offspring, stock. G1096, A prolonged and middle form of a primary verb; to cause to be; be found, be fulfilled, grow, happen, have, be kept, be made, be married, be ordained to be, partake of.

I got excited by this find....!
