Thessalonians part 68

By way of reminder we are looking at 2Thessalonias 2 where we find this statement, in 2Thessalonians 2:8-12 “Then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming: Even him,* whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

(*this is added by the translater and can be omitted and when we do this is what we get, Whose coming is after that of Satan with all lying power and signs and lying wonders as the deceiver of all mere natural, earthy, carnal people as it these who will perish. Look withcare at verses 17-22 of 2Peter 2 quoted below.)

The other thing is that what I share and say is more than the norm because of the presense of the LORD'S own Spirit within me as He was in Peter, Paul and those few who came out from among them over the past 1986-2000 years. And at times what I say will be in opposition to what many of the religious community say and preach or even may live by as their doctrine. Like with Jesus, Paul and others we are in a class of few people and like them we are not alone for we have the Father from Whom comes all things known of the LORD. He increases within us as we progress along the narrow path which is entered after we have faced off with the cross and lost, yes lost to the workings of the cross within and then received His resurrection within our soul returned to His rule.

Lastly we will look at the teaching of corruption in 2Peter 2 beginning at verse 4 through the end, in the fashion 4-16, 17-22, where it states this, “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, (these were free roaming beings during the period of time before the flood of Noah, when they were killed off by this flood and cast into the pit. It was these fallen angles who procreated through woman the nephilim of Gen. 6:4) but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved to judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And later turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example to those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust to the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the Knowledge of the LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it is happened to them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”

Seeing that the word prophet has to do with teaching there are also false teachers and pastors that are part of this outline under the same heading.
