Thessalonians part 73

From here I will look at false pastors who exhibited prevalence in Paul's time and even more so in our own because of what has already been shown, in 2Timothy 1 beginning at verse 8 through the end of this chapter where we find this, “Be not therefore ashamed of the testimony of our LORD, nor of me His prisoner: but be a partaker of the afflictions of the (this) Gospel according to the power of God; Who having saved (redeemed) us, and called us with an holy calling (HIS Great Salvation), not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and Grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus (this is the hidden secret of Proverbs 18:10) before the world began, but is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, Who having abolished death, and having brought Life and immortality to Light through the (this) Gospel: Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. For which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him against that day. Hold fast the form of sound words, which you have heard of me, in faith and love which is Christ Jesus. That good thing which was committed to you keep by the Holy Ghost which dwells in (you, if you be in) us.

This you know, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. The Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain: But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me. The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered to me at Ephesus, you know very well.”

The false pastors are a hidden power of Apostasy during this Age, in 1Timothy 4 beginning at verse 1 through 5 where it states this, “The Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times [a greater or lesser period of opportune or reasonable and seasonable time, symply put, this can be repeated as deemed necessary until the time of the gentiles is fulfilled during this economy or dispensation, because with each new generation it is continued as being new] some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God having created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is Sanctified by the word of God and prayer.”

Many are looking to a specific day for the LORD Christ's return, not understand the phrase, “as in the days of Noah” as seen in 1Peter 3:20 and Genesis 6;5, 13 nor the meaning of what took place in Acts 2 and how it relates to Acts 1:7-8, 10-11 in this phrase, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in His own power. But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses of Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.....while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, men of Galilee, why stand here gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into heaven.” In Acts 2 we have this, “When the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them cloven tongues like as of fire, and He sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

At Christ's return looking into 2Timothy 4 beginning at verses 1 through 8 is where we have this statement, “I charge you therefore before GOD, and the LORD Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick [those filled with GOD in Christ, the true Life and Light of all men] and the dead [this a metaphor for two kinds of people but they are as one, that is those who have chosen to remain separated from God who are alive and those departed souls who never accepted the Truth or revelation of Christ, as LORD, which His true Gospel affords them, as it did us, as we are now part and parcel of His kingdom Now, today] at His appearing and His kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the Truth, and shall be turned to fables. But watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but to all them also that love His appearing [notable, memorable, appearance to become clearly known as Life and Light].”

I have given a small glimse of the revelation of Proverbs 18:10 with the text herein stated, more on this as we progress.
