Discovering the Great and Precious Promises of GOD (Christ Centered)

Before I get into todays Salvation thought I wont to look at it's Greek meaning to do that I will use the Thayer Greek Dictionary and then the Webest's 1828 Dictionary.
In the Greek New Testament there are two words used for Salvation their numbers are G4991 and G4992:

G4991
σωτηρία
sōtēria

Thayer Definition:

1) deliverance, preservation, safety, salvation

1a) deliverance from the molestation of enemies

1b) in an ethical sense, that which concludes to the souls safety or salvation

1b1) of Messianic salvation

2) salvation as the present possession of all true Christians

3) future salvation, the sum of benefits and blessings which the Christians, redeemed from all earthly ills, will enjoy after the visible return of Christ from heaven in the consummated and eternal kingdom of God.

A Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: feminine of a derivative of G4990 as (properly, abstract) noun

Thayer Definition:

1) saving, bringing salvation

2) he who embodies this salvation, or through whom God is about to achieve it

3) the hope of (future) salvation

Salvation

SALVA'TION, n. [L. salvo, to save.]

1. The act of saving; preservation from destruction, danger or great calamity.

2. Appropriately in theology, the redemption of man from the bondage of sin and liability to eternal death, and the conferring on him everlasting happiness. This is the great salvation.

Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation. 2 Cor 7.

3. Deliverance from enemies; victory. Exo 14.

4. Remission of sins, or saving graces. Luke 19.

5. The author of man's salvation. Psa 27.

6. A term of praise or benediction. Rev 19.
