Discovering the Great and Precious Promises of GOD (Divine Teacher)

By now we should all have reached one-ness with our LORD-GOD. For this is ultimate plan and purpose of Will. With fresh on our minds I want to look into Who is our teacher of Divine Truth. For this first comes our Creator Father then Christ as they both work as One in the Holy Spirit. But first Pastor Hoekstra and his teaching on Grace. And then with the use of the ESV translation Our Teacher with the over sight and led of the LORD, I will get into our targeted subject. By way of reminder the bases of all our works is found in the hidden question of Matthew 11:29-30 and the declaration of Galatians 2:20-21.

"More on the Promise of Eternal Life"

"And this is the promise that He has promised us — eternal life . . . And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son." (1John 2:25, 5:11)

"We previously referred to the promise of Eternal Life as "the promise of all promises" (regarding its impact upon man). Thus, we will give it additional attention. We saw that Eternal Life (everlasting life) has both a quantitative aspect (lasting forever) and a qualitative aspect (growing in fullness). Also, Eternal Life is a Gift of GOD's Grace. As both Grace and Truth are the central characteristics of Christ Jesus.(John 1:14, 17) These being received in humble faith. There are other distinctives of eternal life that are very edifying to contemplate.

The gift of eternal life is to be possessed now, not just awaiting for us in eternity. "He who believes  the Son has everlasting life . . . Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes Him Who sent Me has everlasting life . . . Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life" (John 3:36; 5:24; 6:47). Those who have placed their trust (faith) in the Lord Jesus already have eternal life here on earth. Furthermore, that reality can be embraced with assurance. "And this is the testimony: that GOD has given us Eternal Life, and this Life is in His Son. He who has the Son has Life; he who does not have the Son of GOD does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of GOD, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of GOD" (1John 5:11-13). Eternal Life is innate to Jesus Christ. "I am the resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live . . . I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life" (John 11:25; 14:6). He is the Life. All who have trusted in the Lord Jesus have Him dwelling in their lives. Therefore, they are assured of having Eternal Life.

In addition to granting us assurance, these verses emphasize the most profound aspect of eternal life. The realities of that life are all related to Jesus. "I am the resurrection and the life . . . I am the way, the truth, and the life . . . GOD has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son" (John 11:25; 14:6). In order to grow on that life, one must only pursue a growing relationship with the one Who has the Life. "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true GOD, and Jesus Christ Whom You have sent . . . but grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." ( John17:3 and 2Peter 3:8)

GOD as our Divine Teacher,

Exodus 4:10-17 "Then Moses said to the LORD, "Oh, my LORD, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since You have spoken to Your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue." Then the LORD said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now therefore go, and I Will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak." But he said, "Oh, my Lord, please send someone else." Then the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses and HE said, "Is there not Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Behold, he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart. You shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth, and I Will be with your mouth and with his mouth and Will teach you both what to do. He shall speak for you to the people, and he shall be your mouth, and you shall be as God to him. And take in your hand this staff, with which you shall do the signs."

Deuteronomy 4:32-40  "Indeed for ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that GOD created man on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other, whether such a great thing as this has ever happened or was ever heard of. Did any people ever hear the voice of a god speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and still live? Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, and by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? To you it was shown, that you might know that the LORD is GOD; there is no other besides Him. Out of heaven HE let you hear His voice, that HE might discipline you. And on earth HE let you see His great fire, and you heard His words out of the midst of the fire. And because HE loved your fathers and chose their offspring after them and brought you out of Egypt with His own presence, by His great power, driving out before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is this day, know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the LORD is GOD in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. Therefore you shall keep His statutes and His commandments, which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land that the LORD your GOD is giving you for all time."

Psalm 25:12-15 "Who is the man who fears the LORD? Him will HE instruct in the way that HE should choose. His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land. The friendship of the LORD is for those who (highly reverence and respect) fear Him, and HE makes known to them His covenant. My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for HE will pluck my feet out of the net."

Psalm 32:8-11 "I Will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I Will counsel you with My eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast Love surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!"

Psalm 71:17-21 "O God, from my youth You have taught me, and I still proclaim Your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim Your might to another generation, your power to all those to come. Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You Who have done great things, O God, who is like You? You Who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth You Will bring me up again. You Will increase my greatness and comfort me again."

Psalm 94:8-11 "Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise? He Who planted the ear, does He not hear? He Who formed the eye, does He not see? He Who disciplines the nations, does He not rebuke? He Who teaches man knowledge — the LORD — knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath."

Isaiah 2:2-3 "It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it, and many peoples shall come, and say: "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that HE may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths. " For out of Zion shall go the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem."
He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide disputes for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore."

Isaiah 28:23-29 "Give ear, and hear My voice; give attention, and hear My speech. Does he who plows for sowing plow continually? Does he continually open and harrow his ground? When he has leveled its surface, does he not scatter dill, sow cumin, and put in wheat in rows and barley in its proper place, and emmer as the border? For he is rightly instructed; his God teaches him. Dill is not threshed with a threshing sledge, nor is a cart wheel rolled over cumin, but dill is beaten out with a stick, and cumin with a rod. Does one crush grain for bread? No, he does not thresh it forever; when he drives his cart wheel over it with his horses, he does not crush it. This also comes from the LORD of hosts; HE is wonderful in counsel and excellent in wisdom."

Isaiah 48:17-19 "Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your GOD, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way you should go. Oh that you had paid attention to My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea; your offspring would have been like the sand, and your descendants like its grains; their name would never be cut off or destroyed from before Me."

Isaiah 54:11-17 "O afflicted one, storm-tossed and not comforted, behold, I Will set your stones in antimony, and lay your foundations with sapphires. I Will make your pinnacles of agate, your gates of carbuncles, and all your wall of precious stones. All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. If anyone stirs up strife, it is not from Me; whoever stirs up strife with you shall fall because of you. Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals and produces a weapon for its purpose. I have also created the ravager to destroy; no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication from e, declares the LORD."

Jeremiah 32:26-35 "The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: "Behold, I am the LORD, the GOD of all flesh. Is anything too hard for Me? Therefore, thus says the LORD: Behold, I am giving this city into the hands of the Chaldeans and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall capture it. The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city shall come and set this city on fire and burn it, with the houses on whose roofs offerings have been made to Baal and drink offerings have been poured out to other gods, to provoke Me to anger. For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done nothing but evil in My sight from their youth. The children of Israel have done nothing but provoke Me to anger by the work of their hands, declares the LORD. This city has aroused My anger and wrath, from the day it was built to this day, so that I Will remove it from My sight because of all the evil of the children of Israel and the children of Judah that they did to provoke Me to anger—their kings and their officials, their priests and their prophets, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. They have turned to Me their back and not their face. And though I have taught them persistently, they have not listened to receive instruction. They set up their abominations in the house that is called by My name, to defile it. They built the high places of Baal in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to offer up their sons and daughters to Molech, though I did not command them, nor did it enter into My mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin."

Micah 4:1-5 "It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it, and many nations shall come, and say: "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that HE may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations far away; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore; but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid, for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken. For all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our GOD forever and ever."
