Our last blog post looked into the witness of Christ's revelation as the anointing of GOD, in an effort to find out more in that plan and purpose of Will of GOD, or put another way to stay on that plain of frankness, I will endeavor to look at the witness of His followers of that day. I must of needs say that many phrases and words have been altered by the translators through the ages. As mans thinking and reasoning abilities are in subjection to what we have seen of 2Thessalonians 2:1-12.
The Witness of the Apostles of Christ's Divinity,
Matthew 16:16 of 13-21 "Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, 'Who do people say that the Son of Man is?' (While looking at the images of man made figures of idols of strange gods worshiped in the valley below them.) To this they said, "Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." He said to them, 'But who do you say that I am?' To that Simon Peter replied, "You are the "Christ!" in the Son of the living GOD." And Jesus answered him, 'Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock (revelation wisdom) I will build My church (the elect who receive of the anointing), and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (them of the anointing). I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.' Then Jesus strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that He was the Christ. From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised."
John 1:1-2 of 1-5 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was GOD. He was in the beginning with GOD. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life, and His life is the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
Romans 1:4 of 1-7 "Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of GOD, which HE promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures, concerning His Son, Who was descended from David according to the flesh and was declared to be the Son of GOD in power according to the Spirit of Holiness by His resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our LORD, through Whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of His (secret, sacred) name among all the nations, including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ, To all those in Rome who are loved by GOD and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from GOD our Father and the LORD, Jesus Christ."
Romans 9:5 of 1-5 and Colossians 1:15 of 9-14, 15-20 "I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness by the Holy Spirit—that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen (of Israel) according to the flesh. They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the [Mosaic] Law, the worship, and the promises. To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, Who is GOD over all, blessed forever. The Amen."
Colossians 1:15 of 9-14, 15-20 "For this reason, from the day you heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the LORD God, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of GOD. May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in His Light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in Whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of [delusions of] sins.
He is the image of the invisible GOD, the firstborn (chief ) of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.(by His ascension and return as Spirit to dwell in man again, given as His creation) And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And HE is the head of the body, the church. HE is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything HE might be preeminent (hold first place, be retained as chief). For in Him all the fullness of GOD was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile (to restore to its original state and condition) to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross."
Colossians 2:9 of 6-7, 8-15 "Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the LORD, so walk with Him, being rooted and built up by Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For as Christ the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled with Him, Who is the head of all rule and authority. In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh (the foreskin of your heart), by the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised with Him through faith in the powerful working of GOD, Who raised Him from the dead. And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, GOD made alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us (speaking as a Jews Jew) with its legal demands. This HE set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in Him."
1Timothy 3:16 of 14-16 and 6:15 of 11-16 "I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that, if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of GOD, which is the church (assembly) of the living GOD, a pillar and buttress of the truth. Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory."
1Timothy 6:15 of 11-16 "But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I charge you in the presence of GOD, Who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, Who in His testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our LORD Jesus Christ, which HE will display at the proper time—HE Who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and LORD of lords, Who alone has immortality, Who dwells in unapproachable Light, Whom no one has ever seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion. The Eternal Amen."
Hebrews 1:3 of 1-4 and Revelation 19:16 of 11-17 "Long ago, at many times and in many ways, GOD spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days HE has spoken to us by His Son, Whom HE appointed the heir of all things, through Whom also HE created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of GOD and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High, having become as much superior to angels as the name (the secret, sacred name of Christ) He has inherited is more excellent than theirs."
Revelation 19:16 of 11-17 "Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness HE judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flames of fire, and on His head are many diadems, and HE has a name written that no one knows but Himself. HE is clothed in a robe dipped in blood (of His saint's), and the name by which HE is called (Christ) is The Word of GOD. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and HE will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of GOD the Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh HE has a name written, King of kings and LORD of lords."
