The Secret and Mysteries of GOD revisited, part 21.02b

I am looking at the "anointing" of the Anointed One, Who is Christ by way of meaning of the term or Word. Lets see what Daniel Webster's 1828 Bible Dictionary has this to say about the term anoint: "To consecrate by unction, or the use of oil (the Holy Spirit is the inference here). To prepare, in allusion to the consecrating use of oil. The use of oil in consecrations, was of high antiquity. Used for Kings, prophets and priests were set apart or consecrated to their offices by the use of oil. Hence the peculiar application of the term anointed to Jesus Christ." Now when one receives the baptism of the Spirit of GOD, that is to say the Holy Spirit as did Jesus they are of the anointed just as He was, this making them One as He was. One with Whom why One with GOD, is the correct answer. We of this age should all be in the know because of the unction that abides within each of us once we have received of GOD's Spirit, known as Christ, the hidden name of GOD, the very name revealed to the disciples by Jesus. Also bear this in mind that Isaiah by the Spirit of Holiness speaks to us using a double meaning in Isaiah 61:1-3, as we have become the Christ-ones.

The Anointed One, Christ,

Psalm 45:7 of 6-9 "Your throne, O GOD, is forever and ever. The scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore GOD, Your GOD, has anointed You with the oil of gladness beyond Your companions; Your robes are all fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia. From ivory palaces stringed instruments make You glad; daughters of kings are among Your ladies of honor; at Your right hand stands the queen in gold of Ophir."

Isaiah 61:1 of 1-3 "The Spirit of the LORD God (YHWH) is upon me, because the LORD has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor; HE has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor (H8141, to awaken from a deep sleep), and the day of vengeance of our GOD; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified."

Dan 9:24 of 24-27 "Seventy weeks are decreed about Your people and Your holy city, to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy. Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time. And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolation's are decreed. And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolated."

Luke 4:18 of 16-30 "Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as was His custom, He went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and He stood up to read. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to Him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written (in 61:1-2), "'The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor.'" Then He rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, 'Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.' And all spoke well of Him and marveled at the gracious words that were coming from His mouth. And they said, "Is not this Joseph's son?" And He said to them, 'Doubtless you will quote to Me this proverb, 'Physician, heal yourself.' What we have heard You did at Capernaum, do here in Your hometown as well." Saying that He said, 'Truly, I say to you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown. But in truth, I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heavens were shut up three years and six months, and a great famine came over all the land, and Elijah was sent to none of them but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha, and none of them were cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.' When they heard these things, all in the synagogue were filled with wrath. And they rose up and drove Him out of the town and brought Him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw Him down the cliff. But passing through their midst, He went His way."

Acts 4:27 of 23-31 "When Peter and John were released, they went to their friends and reported what the chief priests and the elders had said to them. And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to GOD and said (from Psalm 146:6), "Sovereign LORD, Who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them, Who through the mouth of our father David, Your servant, said by the Holy Spirit (then from Psalm 2:1-2; Daniel 9:24-25), "'Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together, against the LORD and against His Anointed'—for truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy servant Jesus, Whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever Your hand and Your plan had predestined to take place. And now, LORD, look upon their threats and grant to Your servants to continue to speak Your Word with all boldness, while You stretch out Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of Your holy servant Jesus." And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of GOD with boldness."

Acts 10:38 of 34-43 "Peter opened his mouth and said: "Truly I understand that GOD shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears (to reverence, respect, venerate, to treat with deference or reverential obedience) Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him. As for the word that He sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (He is LORD of all), you yourselves know what happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John proclaimed: how GOD anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for GOD was with Him. To this we are witnesses of all that HE did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put Him to death by hanging Him on a tree, but GOD raised Him on the third day and made Him to appear, not to all the people but to us who had been chosen by GOD as witnesses, who ate and drank with Him after HE rose from the dead. And HE commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that HE is the one appointed by GOD to be judge of the living and the dead. To Him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name."
