After what has
been transpiring on the world scene and listening to what many of the
Muslim faith have stated, it appears to me that they like so many
others caught up in the worlds religion have no knowledge of what
transpired through the love sacrifice of Jesus. This we must keep
in mind is GOD's Love offering to restore man to Himself. The world as a whole
does not acknowledge man as being a spiritual being housed within a
body of earth and it is because of this that they do not acknowledge
a spiritual being. They donot hear what is so plannly stated in the
scriptures because of blindness and unbelief all of which is
unacceptance of man having a futher state of being. The same state
that man had in Genesis 1:26-27 where man as a spirit was with GOD
before GOD rested in Genesis 2:1-3. This area does not tell us how
long it was that man and GOD were one in the heavens while He waited
for the earth to take its form in verses 4-6. In verse 6-7 is where
GOD takes of the earth and fashions a body for the spirit of man into
which He breaths the soul or life on man into this lump of clay. The
clay then takes on the look of reddness as blood and water flow
through it. This is the meaning of 2Corinthians
4:3-4
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom
the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe
not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is the
image of God, should shine in them.” It
is for each of us to come to acquiring the knowledge of the LORD on
our own merits but this is only done after we have heard the
revelation of Christ as the written word of the sword of the spirit.
This word is the written word held within a Redeemed soul who has
passed from darkness into His Life and Light by faiths receptivity of
Grace's giving. This is why the Bible is a radical book unlike all
others be they the Torah, Quran or some other book. The particular
translation does not seem to matter as long as it contains the
written word that was first spoken by the breath of GOD.
Before I get into
the next passage allow me to state that the Jewish day was broken up
in watches which started at sunset (6PM in the evening counted as the
day), this being the first watch of three hours duration. To first
show it as it appears looking at Matthew 27:45-54 where it reads:
“Now from the sixth hour (midnight to 3 AM) there was darkness over
all the land until the ninth hour (3-6 AM). And
about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli,
Eli, lama sabachthani?
that is to say, My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Some of
them that stood there, when they heard
said, He
calls for Elias. And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge,
and filled it
with vinegar, and put it
on a reed, and gave Him to drink. The rest said, Let be, let us see
whether Elias will come to save Him. Jesus, when He had cried again
with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the
temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; [51b] and the
earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and
many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the
graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and
appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with
him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were
done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.”
This is where His
first ascension is revealed in Matthew 27:51b, to clearly see this as
His first ascension we must understand the use of this punctuation
sign as used as a symbol indicating a time break (this happens in
other areas of scripture as well, such as Psalm 2 verse 7 for
one). The verse should be read as follows, “and the earth did
quake, and the rocks were broken and graves were opened and many
bodies of the saints which slept arose and came out of the graves
after His resurrection and went throughout the city and appeared to
many,” this also repeated in 28:2-4 though worded somewhat
differently. When Jesus ascended into Abrahms bosom which held the
ancients or saints who were awaiting Him. He proclaimed the hidden
gospel to them who waited for Him, He Whom they only saw as a dim light
at some distance. These then He took as captivity captive and
ascended with them into the holiest of all. This is spoken of in
Ephesians 4:1-25, with our emphasis on 7-16 and Colossians 1:12-20,
with emphasis on 18-20.
