I must exercise much restraint and care to keep from doing what always has been done by men of the flesh or those who focus on purely the literalism of the text. You see, Paul as in all of his Epistles is addressing those who have received of the Spirit of the LORD and are therefore partakers of His second coming in Spirit form, as found in Acts 2. This is the restoration as first promised man in Genesis 3:15. At first as the Holy Spirit, as our deposit and promise of better things of inheritance, yet to come. And then after we have progressed according to God's plan through Redemption. Wherein we come face to face with our own undoneness and total bankruptcy of sin and are faced again with a crisis of choice. We can choose Life and the better things or remain dead to God, our choice. The way we choose will determine our own destination or will determine our progression into His Salvation and resurrection Life with the companing power of Truth or to be spued out of His mouth as being lukewarm or cold. Our very life then depends on His Life within, a Life of continued revelation of the LORD, as we learn of Christ.
It is through this study that I will in the LORD attempt to remove or lift this veil from understanding as this has been my goal from the get go.
Our
first call will be on the antichrists. These
people will reflect the following charactistics by having the nature
of the “Man of Sin,” discribed in 2Thessalonians 2:3, the “Son
of Perdition” in 2Thessalonians 2:3-4, the “Wicked one,”
described in 2Thessalonians 2:8-12, the “Antichrist” in 1John
2:18-23 and the “Beast” described in Revelation 11:7.
Then
as “the Lawless” in 2Thessalonians 2:3-12, “Opposing Christ”
in 2Thessalonians 2:4, “Working lying signs and wonders” in
2Thessalonians 2:9, “Deceiving the world” in 2John 7 and
Revelation 19:20, “Persecuting Christians” in Revelation 13:7,
being “Satan inspired” in 2Thessalonians 2:9, “Denying Christ's
incarnation” in 1John 4:3, 2John 7, “One of Many” in 1John
2:18-22, “a Person and a System” in 2Thessalonians 2:3 and 7,
“Seeks man's worship” in 2Thessalonians 2:4.
Then
we will look at “his coming foretold” in 2Thessalonians 2:5-12,
“in the last time” in 1John 2:18, “now hinders” in
2Thessalonians 2:6, “follows the removal of his hinderence” in
2Thessalonians 2:7-8, “before Christ's retrun” in 2Tessalonians
2:8, “Satan's deception” in 2Tessalonians 2:9-10.
Lastly
the Destruction of, “at Christ's return” 2Thessalonians 2:8 and
Revelation 19:20, “Eternal Hell” in Revelation 20:10.
You
will notice that many of these chacteristics are described within the
framework of the same passages of chapter 2:3-12 and may even seem to
overlap in many cases, this I'll leave as is to allow the Spirit of
Truth within you to reveal how, who and why it is so.
The Man of Sin
2Thessalonians
2:1-2 “Now we (the LORD'S ontological
essense within Paul) beseech you, by the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ (His restoration or incarnation within those receptive of Him
in Spiritual form), and by
our gathering together unto him, that
you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit,
nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is
at hand.”
