Romans
13:1
"Let
every soul be subject unto the higher powers (a
token control). (He is talking about
spiritual power here. He’s talking about political power or
government.) For there is no power (government, economy
or religion) but (how?) of God: the powers that
be are ordained of God."
There
has never been a government, economy or mans religion on the face of
the earth that wasn’t ordained of God. Because it was He who
established them shortly after the flood of Noah as fond in Genesis
chapter 9 verses 5 through 7 and before when He took council, in eternatity past. Even
Hitler and Stalin and the Hebrew Holocaust were predetermined by Him. They are all there for His purposes. They are all
ordained of God and we can’t ignore that. Come back to Colossians
and it says just exactly what it means and it means what it says.
That Jesus the Christ, the very epitome of the Godhead bodily is
still the One Who is the head of all principality and power. I'm
going to have to do this with a couple of verses here like I did
before. I'm going to have to jump down to cover verse 13, before I
cover verse 11. This may seem like gobbledy-gook to you but I think
it’s going to make sense when you see what I'm doing. Let’s drop
in at verse 13 and then I'll come up and deal with verse 11. Don’t
worry, I'm going to hit verse 12 too, but I'll leave it for now.
Colossians
2:13
"And
you, (talking to believers) being dead
(separated from God) in your sins and the
uncircumcision of your flesh (the
unredeemed heart), hath he (God) hath
he quickened (made you alive, re-birthed in preporation as
having been allowed the right to become sons again) together
with him, having (past tense) forgiven you (how
much?) all trespasses;"
I'm
going to look at the word ‘justification.’ We’ve been justified
from all things. You remember what our definition of ‘justification’
is? It’s the judicial act of God whereby He declared the sinner
"'just as if’ he had never sinned." That’s beyond mere
human comprehension. But you see, that is what the Grace of God does
the moment we believe from the heart or with our whole heart. No,
its not through some kind of mental ascent. It is not by works of
self effort. That is what Israel did not hear back in Deuteronomy
chapter 6 verses 5 and 6. And if they did it did not sink into them
what was said. Let’s explain from Scripture what Paul's
talking about in verse 13. Come back a few pages again, to Ephesians
chapter 2. This is going to get a little sticky and I know it is. I’m
going to have to go as slow as I can. Let’s look at verses 11 and
12.
For emphasis I placed parentheses (“) around the words.
Ephesians
2:11a
"Wherefore
remember, that ye (the Ephesians. But he’s writing just as
well to us today) being in time past Gentiles in the flesh,…"
In
other words, our genetics were not Jewish. They are non-Hebrews, so
we are Gentiles, as men like Seth, Enoch, Noah, Shem, Eber, Abram / Abraham, and Isaac were. That’s all the word Gentile means. A Gentile
simply means someone who is not a Hebrew. So whether you’re
Oriental, African, American Indian, European, or whatever, as long as
we’re not out of the stock of Jacob, we’re a
Gentile (that includes those of Ishmael and Esau). It’s just that
simple. So now then Paul is saying of us –
"In
whom ye also trusted, (trust
is our beginning point for faith) after that ye
heard the word of truth, gospel of your salvation: (what
did you do with it?) in whom also
after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of
promise."
I’m
not doing any violence to Scripture to say that at same moment you
were baptized by the Holy Spirit and thereby God branded us as His
own through the cutting away of the deadness of our hearts foreskin. And so the only
valid baptism, spiritually speaking, is when the Holy Spirit baptizes
us into the Body of Christ by the circumision of the foreskin of our
heart. We then are clothed with Christ as a wife is clothed by her husbands name, she becomes Mrs. so and so. This takes place during the revelation of Christ in the Gospel
of our Salvation. Which is hiden in the context
of the Last Supper on through our
ascension within Him when He returned to take His rightful place at
the Righthand of God. If we take of the LORD'S communion
without this knowledge we take of it in an unworthy fashion and this brings upon
us sickness and often premature death, look at 1Corinthians 11 and
lesson closely to what it is saying. Now
the reason I have to emphasize that is because of Ephesians chapter 4
and verse 4. Oh, this is hard for people to swallow but it is so
plain and simple. Just
as simple as it can be.
Ephesians
4:4-5
"There
is one body, (body here being the Church, not
1500. I read somewhere that there were 1500 Christian
denominations in California alone. But there really is not.)
and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of
your calling: One Lord, one faith, one (what?)
baptism."
And
what is it? The Holy Spirit. It’s the only one that counts. I don’t
forbid water baptism. All I tell people is that it has nothing to do
with your eternal destiny because the only baptism that counts for
eternity is, "have you been placed
into the Body of Christ by the baptizing power of the Holy Spirit?"
If you haven’t had that, you’re doomed. I don’t care how many
times you’re baptized in water, it’s the Holy Spirit baptism that
settles it for Eternity. This happens by way of revelation of all
that took place the evening of the LORD'S Last Supper on through He
ascesion. As one continues action of God's sancification through death, where the cutting away of the foreskin flesh our heart takes place. Which brings us into His
Life Eternal through this Gospel. From which woman and then Adam had
extinguished His image and likeness in themselves and all their seed
after them. As in the beginning there is only One Church, One Body,
One LORD, One Faith, One Baptism all others are phonies and false.
There is only One Way back home to God and it is His, not anothers or
many. But ONE and Only ONE Way and this what Jesus as the Son of man took
as our living example, even though it ment death to our flesh. Adams
flesh did not immedately die, it took it 900 plus years to succumb, through
his rebellion into sin through his spiritual death, separation from God. This is why it is said the Jesus is the second
Adam because He rose again into or by the Life that was within Him in
the resurrection power of the Spirit. He walked each and every day in
this power of Spirit during His ministry to Israel.
"…that
ye being in time past Gentiles, in the flesh, who are called
Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh
made by hands;"
The
Uncircumcision. That was the Jewish term for a non-Jew. He was the
Uncircumcised worthless old dog. But this now can also be for those of the Hebrews
who choose not to come back to God because they like the Nations are
not circumized of heart. And a lot of times they would add the word,
"dogs." "Uncircumcised Dogs" is what they thought
of Gentiles. Now, we're going to give you one more. Come back a
few more pages to Galatians chapter 2 and verse 7.
