Ephesians Lesson 25 of 39 part 1

1Corinthians 12:12-13
"For as the body (the human body) is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ*. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink ( partake) into one Spirit."
*the Body of Christ, the true Church, the same body as seen in Genesis 1:27 and 2:7, where Christ is the life of the body concealed.
One Spirit, the same one spirit of Genesis 1 and verse 27, where by the Spirit of Truth we find Christ as that one Spirit. So is the teachings of Jesus when rightly divided and understood. This same Spirit is what ruled within the Son of man and Jesus rejoiced in the power of the spirit and said: I acknowledge the spirit of the Father, the source of everything in heaven and earth, who has revealed what was hidden from the wise and learned to the simple, because they acknowledge themselves sons of the Father. By so stating He is putting us into the One Body of Christ, as Adam was of this same body in Genesis 1:27 and 2:7 and even in verses 21-24 because the satisfaction of the Father's will gives true life. It is this satisfaction that releases us from the heavy yoke of sin and death, because the satisfaction of the personal will only leads to death.

1Corinthians 12:14
"For the body* is not one members, but many."
*the human element or the One Body of Christ.
Remember that the Lord used the figurative illustration of a loaf of bread because bread is made from many kernels of different kinds of wheat or grain. These when ground to powder and then mixed with oil, water, and some salt then baking it to make bread. If (sin is equated to) yeast with sugar added and allowed to rest will rise and then it is punched down and allowed to rise again. Then baking it the loaf will have small holes where the yeast leaves a bubble or pocket of air within the loaf. You get the picture, the body when it is formed is made of many members or grains likened to wheat. Then when finally ground under pressure, then blended with water, oil, and salt as the elements of the earth, which mans contains within the body. But to make unleavened bread, sin is left out, the yeast and sugar, and bread is a staple of life. Bread was broken and shared among many people. In this same chapter and verse 27. Paul is emphasizing this concept of the Body of Christ. The mystery hidden in Genesis 1 through 3.

1Corinthians 12:27
"Now ye (believers) are the body of Christ, and members in particular."
We do not find all that much mentioned of the Body of Christ until we get into the higher things in Ephesians. Look for example in chapter 1 and drop down to verse 23, here Paul makes another reference to the Body of Christ. Paul is the only one that refers to the One Body of Christ, the true Church a congregation of those who have the mind of Christ who by way of personal choice become His disciples. Who are the hidden apple of the eye or pupil of God. Which the first disciple of God, Enoch makes reference to in chapter (book) 99 of his writings and is made reference to by the prophets of Israel also. A church is not a building of stone and mortar or even wood and nails but is found wherever the wind blows, as Jesus said, foxes have holes but the Son of man has no where to lay His head. He also made reference to the wind when blowing as being known only by the sign of it's having been there and then says, where two or more gather together, He is in their presence. Many have been taught by the world that they have to have a church building in order to minister this is not so is it a bold faced lie and has caused much harm to Christ's Body. Back to Ephesians 1 verse 22. This is God speaking of the Son.

Ephesians 1:22-23
"And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all."
Christ is the federal head of His Church, His Living witnesses and all others are but false copies or representations. They are not even a shadow of Him because they rely on an external yoke or bondage of hindrance, in the deception of religion. For theirs, the true Church has this testimony that He yet Lives because He Lives in them by His Spirit. So this is only a Pauline term, "The Body of Christ." If we go over to chapter 3, where again, he makes reference that through one of the mysteries given to him the Gentiles are included in this One Body. The true church is to be head over all things just as God told spiritual man in Genesis 1:28. The true congregation will be the Light of the world which Israel was to have been had they accepted Jesus as their king, not in the physical but rather in the renewed spiritual sense. For this is what Isaiah and the Psalms tell us in chapter 2, in both of them.

Ephesians 3:6
"That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:"
