Divine Spiritual Richness (Individual call to Consecration)

Continuing with "can two walk together except they be in agreement" and "in the beginning, GOD." I am now on my third look into "Victory" that is ours "In Christ." This being by it's own nature an area of separation from the world and how we perceive Life and the darkness, lawlessness of the world all around us. Because the next area of "Victory" reveal the measure of how the marks of defeat degrade that are left upon the old man. But for the evil person shame with destruction is their only gain. But first Pastor Hoekstra and his teaching on Grace. And making use of the ESV translation and under the leading of LORD I will look at the degrading marks impress of sin's fading way.
"Scorn for the Scornful, Grace for the Humble"

"Surely He scorns the scornful, but gives grace to the humble." (Proverbs 3:34)

"The scriptures emphasize the LORD's commitment to pour Grace upon those who walk in humility, while opposing the path of those who walk in pride. "But He gives more Grace. Therefore He says: 'GOD resists the proud, but gives Grace to the humble' . . . Be clothed with humility, for 'GOD resists the proud, but gives Grace to the humble' . . . Though the LORD is on high, Yet HE regards the lowly; But the proud He knows from afar" (James 4:6; 1Peter 5:5; and Psalm 138:6). In our present verse we have another pointed example. "Surely He scorns the scornful, but gives Grace to the humble."

It is an absolute certainty that the LORD will scorn the scornful. "Surely He scorns the scornful." The scornful person shows arrogant disregard for the LORD and His righteous ways. He is a mocker of godliness and a boaster in wickedness. The LORD will assuredly scorn such people. He will treat them with a holy disdain. He will reject their path with holy contempt.

For so many of us who have a heart for the LORD, walking scornfully before the LORD is not a likely threat. However, somewhat related attitudes may become a part of our walk (even inadvertently). Pride and haughtiness are two of the most common, and most deadly perils of man. "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18). These companion evils could both be summarized as self-exaltation. Such an approach to life always results in devastating downfalls. These attitudes and their consequences are most fully illustrated by the history of the devil himself. Before he became the ultimate rebel against GOD, he was a magnificent, privileged angelic being. "You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; you were on the holy mountain of GOD . . . You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you." (Ezekiel 28:14-15). This iniquity that developed was self-exaltation. "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! . . . For you have said in your heart: . . . I will be like the Most High" (Isaiah 14:12-14). This haughty exalting of self brought a disastrous fall, which will end up forever in hell's fire itself. The same expected end for rebellious, lawless mankind.

May we daily chose to walk with GOD's humble saints, refusing to join the ranks of the proud, with their self-advancing schemes. "Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud" (Proverbs 16:19)."

The Disfigurement of Sin and its Degrading Marks, the Impress of sin left upon Man fades,

Proverbs 21:21-31 "Whoever pursues righteousness and loyalty will find life, righteousness, and honor. A wise man scales the city of the mighty and brings down the stronghold in which they trust. Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.  "Scoffer" is the name of the arrogant, haughty man who acts with arrogant pride. The desire of the sluggard kills him, for his hands refuse to labor. All day long he craves and craves, but the righteous gives and does not hold back. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; how much more when he brings it with evil intent. A false witness will perish, but the word of a man who hears will endure. A wicked man puts on a bold face, but the upright gives thought to his ways. No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the LORD. The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the LORD."

Isaiah 3:1-12 "Behold, the LORD GOD of hosts is taking away (from Jerusalem and from Judah support and supply, all support of bread, and all support of water; the mighty man and the soldier, the judge and the prophet, the diviner and the elder, the captain of fifty and the man of rank, the counselor and the skillful magician and the expert in charms. And I will make boys their princes, and infants shall rule over them.) And the people will oppress one another, every one his fellow and every one his neighbor; the youth will be insolent to the elder, and the despised to the honorable. For a man will take hold of his brother in the house of his father, saying: "You have a cloak; you shall be our leader, and this heap of ruins shall be under your rule"; in that day he will speak out, saying: "I will not be a healer; in my house there is neither bread nor cloak; you shall not make me leader of the people." For Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen, because their speech and their deeds are against the LORD, defying His glorious presence. For the look on their faces bears witness against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves. Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds. Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for what his hands have dealt out shall be done to him. My people—infants are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people, your guides mislead you and they have swallowed up the course of your paths."

Revelation 13:11-18 and 14:9-11 "I (John) saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666."

Revelation 14:9-11 "Another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of GOD's Wrath, poured full strength into the cup of His anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name." Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of GOD and their faith in Jesus.

Revelation 16:1 and 2 "Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, "Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of GOD."
Then the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image."

Revelation 19:19-21 "I (John) saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against Him Who was sitting on the horse and against His army. And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of Him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh."
