Our Divine Spiritual Richness

I am going to look at more of the Glorified Christ, the One Who came with a most unusual anointing. And here is it's secret, it is this same anointing, that those who become Christ-ones carry as they do Christ in Spirit. Meaning they have returned to a Genesis 2 kind of person, as Promised by the LORD-GOD in Genesis 3:15, where we find His seed spoken of, which is in all of mankind. This is seen in John 1:4 and other related passages, which we have looked at. And at the same time those who come to acquire faith as did Abram, become counted with Abraham's seed as righteousness, not of their own righteousness but rather that of Christ's and more by faith. Faith being the smallest of all seeds, as described by Jesus. But when watered and feed with spiritual food it grows to be a larger tree than the oak. As humble children. Now for Pastor Hoekstra and his teaching on Grace. And then making use of the ESV translation I will under the LORD look at the Glory of Christ.

"Jesus, the Ultimate Example of Godly Exaltation"

"He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of GOD the Father." (Philippians 2:8-11)

"There is an ungodly, self-sufficient exaltation that leads to defeat and dishonor. "Everyone who exalts himself will be abased" (Luke 18:14). On the other hand, there is a godly, self-denying humility that leads to a proper exaltation. "He who humbles himself will be exalted" (Luke 18:14). We saw in our previous meditation that Jesus was the ultimate example of humility. Here, we see that He is also the ultimate example of godly exaltation.

Jesus humbly surrendered Himself to the will of the Father that our salvation [spiritual healing] might be secured through His atoning death. "He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross." The results were glorious. GOD's great salvation was purchased for man, and GOD's Son was greatly exalted. "Therefore GOD also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name." First, Jesus was raised victoriously from the dead and seated at the Father's right hand, being granted the name above all names. "HE raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 1:20). Some day He will return triumphantly. "Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He Who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war." (Revelation 19:11) Finally, He will rule forever sovereignly. " Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end . . . to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever" (Isaiah 9:7). Here is probably the hardest of secrets to grab hold of, we are currently in this period of the later portion of the Age of Grace as known by the seasons of mans allotted time. This period started the moment of the giving of the Holy Spirit to indwell mankind. The Holy Spirit being GOD the Father of Creation and the Son of creation with the Spirit of creation, the "in the beginning, GOD." There is no separation as all are One, even receptive man.

Those who must be forced to bow at the end will be separated from Him forever. Those who humbly bow and confess Him now will be exalted now (that is, "lifted up" now into heavenly realms of forgiveness, blessing, growth, and fruitfulness). Eventually, they will enter into His eternal exaltation (joint-heirs with Christ, serving Him forever)! The pathway is humility. He humbled Himself, yet, will rule eternally. We humble ourselves before Him now, yet we reign with Him forever!"

The Glory of Christ:

Manifested at His Second Coming,

Matthew 16:24-27, 28 "Then Jesus told His disciples, "If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will repay each person according to what he has done.
Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom." (Acts 1)

Shared by Believers,

Matthew 19:27-30 and 24:29-31"Then Peter said in reply, "See, we have left everything and followed You. What then will we have?" Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for My name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first."

Matthew 24:29-31 (Jesus is speaking) "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."

Beheld on the Mount,

Luke 9:28-36 "Now about eight days after these sayings He took with Him Peter and John and James and went up on the mountain to pray. And as He was praying, the appearance of His face was altered, and His clothing became dazzling white. And behold, two men were talking with Him, Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory and spoke of His departure, which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. Now Peter and those who were with Him were heavy with sleep, but when they became fully awake they saw His glory and the two men who stood with Him. And as the men were parting from Him, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for You and one for Moses and one for Elijah"—not knowing what he said. As he was saying these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My Son, my Chosen One; listen to Him!" And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent and told no one in those days anything of what they had seen."

Revealed in the Incarnation,

John 1:14-18 "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John bore witness about Him, and cried out, "This was He of Whom I said, 'He Who comes after me ranks before me, because He was before me.'") For from His fullness we have all received, Grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen GOD; the only GOD, Who is at the Father's side, HE has made Him known."

Possessed before the Foundation of the World,

John 17:1-5, 20-24 and Hebrews 3:1-6 "When Jesus had spoken these words, He lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son that the Son may glorify You, since You have given Him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they know You the only true GOD, and Jesus Christ Whom You have sent. I glorified You on earth, having accomplished the work that You gave Me to do. Now, Father, glorify Me in Your own presence with the glory that I had with You before the world existed."

John 17:20-24 "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one, just as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in US, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. The glory that You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be One even as WE are One, I in them and You in Me, that they may become perfectly One, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them even as You loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, may be with Me where I am, to see My glory that You have given Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world."

Hebrews 3:1-6 "Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Who was faithful to Him Who appointed Him, just as Moses also was faithful in all GOD's house. For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. (For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is GOD.) Now Moses was faithful in all GOD's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, but Christ is faithful over GOD's house as a Son. And we are His house if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope."

Ascribed by the Heavenly Host,

Revelation 5:11-14 "Then I (John) looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!" And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To Him Who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!" And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped."
