The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 10.3.02 the renewed mind.

Okay then, we are now at John the Baptist's witness to the Messiah and Christ in the person of Jesus as the GOD man of the Father of spirits. This has for eons caused many a religious person heart palpitations of almost unbearable troubles, to think that GOD and man is one being for them is an impossible thing you see, no you don't! That see the whole of their trouble as Jesus told old boy Nicodemus, As we have seen! Okay, now for verse 22 of John 3. And remember that I am using the Mirror Study Bible only here.

John 3:22-24 "Form there Jesus and his disciples and followers went to the region of Judea and spent some [1]bonding-time together - [2]immersed in conversation. (The word [1]diatribo carries the idea of a road well traveled; tarry together - the text says and there he baptized - yet in 4:2 John comments that Jesus himself did not baptize anyone. The word [2]baptitso means to immerse; for what it is worth, I thought to reflect on the bonding and cleansing that took place in their conversing, "You are already made clean by the word which I have spoken to you." John 15:3 I'm not disputing the fact that water baptism as a cleaning ritual is the context here; but Jesus' baptism shifts the real emphasis from the prophetic water symbolism to a baptism into words and spirit thoughts. He knew and communicated that his baptism into man's death, as the Lamb of GOD, is what John's prophetic baptism pointed to in the first place.) John and his disciples were not far from there at the Place of Springs, Aenon near Salim, which it a popular location for baptism. This was shortly before John landed up in jail.

John 3:25-30 "Some of the disciples of John were disputing with a Jew, who was probably baptized by the disciples of Jesus. They debated about the meaning of these purifying rituals - comparing notes as to which baptism would be the most significant between Jesus and John's. (Look at Hebrews 6:2 All the Jewish teachings about ceremonial washings (baptisms), the laying on of hands (in order to identify with the slain animal as sacrificed), and all teachings pertaining to a sin consciousness, including the final resurrection of the dead in order to face judgment, are no longer relevant. [All of these types and shadows were concluded and fulfilled in Christ, their living substance.] His resurrection bears testimony to the judgment that he faced on humanity's behalf and the freedom from an obstructive consciousness of sin that he now proclaims. [Romans 4:25; Acts 17:31; John 13:31-33] Jesus said, 'and when I am lifted up on the cross, I will draw all judgment unto me!' [look at Hebrews 9:28]) They anxiously informed John that one who was with him beyond the Jordan, whose life and mission he endorsed and bore witness to, is now attracting everyone to him - his baptism could put them out of business! To which John responded, well, he obviously has heaven's backing, so let's not be jealous; everything we have is a gift! You heard me when I said that I am not the Messiah - my mission was to introduce the Christ, not to compete with him! The Bridegroom's best man does not compete for attention - he is appointed to support the groom and to greatly rejoice when he hears his voice! This is my joy - this is what I have come for! The significance of my prophetic mission was simply to elevate him! (Look at John 1:15 John the Baptist raised his voice to announce emphatically that Jesus was what his ministry and prophetic message were all about. He declared that Jesus, though younger than him, ranked above him and was "born" before him, since he always was!)

John 3:31-36; 10:40-42 "We are dealing with two dimensions here, the one coming from above presides over all - while the reasoning from a mere earthly perspective is confined to communicate from an earthly point of view. The conversation realized as originating in heaven has the final say. (Look at 3:13 No one can fully engage in heaven's perspective, unless one's heavenly origin is realized! The Son of man declares humanity's co-genesis from above!) Even though I have seen and hear heavenly things, it seems to me that no one embraces what I have borne witness to! By trying to protect a fading prophetic perspective, you are missing the entire point! The shadow is eclipsed by the substance, not the other way around! Whoever lays hold of this testimony has the evidence of GOD's truth embossed like the impression of a signet ring resonating in their inner consciousness. For the one sent from GOD communicates GOD's gift language from the limitless resource of the Spirit. The theme of this conversation celebrates the extravagant love the Father has for the Son - and in him every gift of GOD is revealed - his hand extents GOD's touch; he is GOD's embrace of the human race! To be persuaded about sonship as unveiled in the Son is to fully participate in the life of the ages! To be unpersuaded about sonship is to remain in blindfold (in darkness) mode to life itself in the here and now and to exchange fellowship with the Author of life our design for a fearful image of a vengeful, merciless god - quite the opposite of the loving Father the Son reveals!....Meanwhile he went back across the Jordan into the reign called Peroea to the place where John first baptized, and remained there. Many people followed him say, "John didn't do any miracles, but everything he said about him is true!" Any many in that region believed him." (The Mirror)

Now what comes next I do not yet know.......? Do I now continue with John 11 or possibly head to Revelation, to do a spread on the fact that the thousands has ended in Christ's death burial resurrection and ascension, as the completion of the purely Jewish age of prophetic utterance? Because of His Spiritual return to fill all receptive humanity in this Age of Grace? Which some have dubbed "the Church Age." Or do I look at what all the church argument over as "the coming Rapture?" Not taking into a count the coming out from among them of 2Corithinas 6 and Revelation 18 and Jesus' own words as we have already seen most recently in our study of John 10:1-10.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 10.3.01 the renewed mind.

We are looking at Nicodemus and the Lord Jesus' talk with him concerning the need of re-birthing or re-genesis or our being born from above. The real subject is that of mans spirit and soul putting our perspective into the correct track to hear the voice of GOD and our own union with Him as in the beginning. I have touched on this fine point a time or two within this blog in the pass but in these days where darkness seems to be predominately in control of humanities thinking, I feel that all things Spiritual need more knowledge of GOD's understanding, this is also called light. So using the Mirror Study Bible as our only resource here we go with John 3: 9 which will lead us to John the baptist witness in verses 22-36, we will pick back up in 10 at verse 40-42.

John 3:9-15 "To which Nicodemus responded, "How is this possible? What kind of birth can this be?" Jesus answer, 'You are the teacher of Israel yet you do not know these things? Nicodemus, hear me, [amen, amen] our conversation stems from what we, humanity, have always borne witness to; we endorse what we have observed; how is it that your religious perspectives keep you so blinded to this? (Look at Paul's reference in Romans 1:3 "The Son of GOD has his natural lineage from the seed of David; 1:4 however, his powerful resurrection from the dead by the Holy Spirit, locates and confirms his being and sonship in GOD. Then he says in verse 18 that we can suppress the truth through our own stubborn unbelief, yet 1:19 GOD is not a stranger to anyone; whatever can be known of GOD is evident in every human life. 1:20 GOD is on display in creation; the very fabic of visible cosmos appeals to reason. It clearly bears witness to the ever present sustaining power and intelligence of the invisible GOD, leaving humanity without any valid excuse to ignore him. Look at Galatians 1:15 GOD's eternal love dream separeted me from my mother's womb; his grace became my identity. 1:16 This is the heart of the gospel that I proclaim; it began with an unveiling of sonship in me; freeing me to announce the same sonship in the masses of non-Jewish people. I felt no immediate urgency to compare notes with those who were already familiar with Christ from a mere historic point of view.") If I speak incarnate language to you [Plural - you Jewish Law-based-religious leaders] and you are not persuaded about our common origin, how will you be persuaded about heavenly things? (Here we are person to person - face to face - the prophetic word incarnate!) No one can fully engage in heaven's perspective, unless one's heavenly origin is realized (restored)! The Son of man declares humanity's co-genesis from above! (This is my mission: This the prophetic relevance - this is how the veil will be lifted and removed!) Remember how Moses lifted up the [1]serpent in the wilderness even so the son of man will be lifted up! (John 12:31 'Now is the judgment of this world, now shall the ruler of this world be cast out; 12:32 and I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all judgment unto myself.' John 12:33 He said this to show by what death he was to die." Revelation 12:9. John 3:13 and 14 are most significant since they point to the very essence of the Mission of Jesus - the co=begotteness of the human race now redeemed in our co-crucifixion and co-resurrection on the third day into newness of life! 1Peter 1:3 The word serpent in the Greek is [1]ophis, the old Serpent at the end of Revelation 12.) In the same prophetic pattern, I will be lifted up for all to see and be equally persuaded in the echo of the life of the ages now redeemed within them!'"

John 3:16-21 (Jesus is speaking) "'The entire [5]cosmos is the object of GOD's affection! and he is not about to [1]abandon his creation - the [2]gift of his son is for humanity to realize their true origin in him who mirrors their [3]authentic [first] birth - begotten not of flesh but of the Father! [look at John 1:13 and Genesis 1:26-27; 2:7] In this [4]persuasion the life of the ages [4]echos within the individual and announces that the days of regret and sense of [1]lost-ness are over! (The KJV reads, "Whoever [4]believes in him shall not [1]perish but have eternal life." The same word translated in the KJV to perish is translated in Luke 15 "to be lost." In order to underline the value of the individual, Jesus tells the famous three parables in Luke 15 of the lost sheep, coin and son; now all found, safe and sound! In everyone he repeats the word [1]lost, apollumi, to lose, to emphasize the fact that you cannot be lost unless you belong - to begin with! The word [1]apollumi, also suggests a sense of uselessness; that which comes to ruin and amounts to nothing! The word [2] didomi, to give, in this case to give something to someone that already belongs to them; thus, to return. The fact that they already are his own, born from above, they have their beginning and their being in him is now confirmed in their realization! He is the "only begotten," [3] monogenes; begotten only by the Father and not of the flesh; in him we recognize our true beginning - as in the authentic origin mold. John 1:12 The word [4]echo, to hold, or embrace, as in echo. The word, [5] kosmos in the NT refers to the entire human family.) GOD has no intention to condemn anyone - he sent his Son, not to be the Judge but the Savior of the World. Faith and not flesh defines you! In the persuasion of your authentic sonship there is no [1] separation or rejection! for someone to prefer not to embrace this is to remain under their own judgment sustained by their futile efforts to define themselves through personal performance. In their stubborn unbelief they [1]reject what is revealed and redeemed in the Name of the Son, begotten only of the father and not the flesh. (The word [1] krino, means to separate; to reject; to judge; to condemn. In naming his Son Jesus, the father openly announced his resolve, which has always been to rescue and redeem his image and likeness in incarnate sonship. As Paul says in Ephesians 3:15 "Every family in heaven and on earth originates in him; his is humanity's family name and he remains the authentic identity of every nation." Also in Titus 2:11 "The grace of GOD shines as bright as day making the salvation of humanity undeniable visible." Galatians 1:16 "This is the heart of the gospel that I proclaim; it began with an unveiling of sonship in me, freeing me to announce the same sonship in the masses of non-Jewish people. I felt no immediate urgency to compare notes with those who were familiar with Christ from a mere historic and human point of view. Look at Hebrews 1:1-3) And this is the [1]crisis: the light is here right now, yet people are so addicted to their own darkness that they prefer a life of [2]labors, annoyances and hardships! (The word [1] krisis, is often translated judgment. The word for evil, [2] poneros, translated, full of hardships annoyances and labors.) When someone is engaged in something [1] worthless, they often fear exposure and feel threatened by the light! (The word, [1] phaulos means worthless; also used in James 3:16, all kinds of worthless pursuits.) (For I have good news for you Nicodemus! You won't ever need to hide in darkness again!) He who discovers the [1]poetry of truth, faces the light unashamedly - his life boldly displays the workmanship of union with GOD! His works speak for themselves - "Made in heaven - wrought in GOD!'" (Like Nicodemus there are many following at a "comfortable" distance, hidden in disguise - they too are invited to turn and face the redeeming light of the Love of GOD!)

In our next installment post we will, the LORD will, look at a bit more of this conversation, where John the baptist comes in.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 10.3 the renewed mind.

Jesus has just told the Leadership of the Jewish faith based on works, that He and the Father of spirits are One and needless to say they are enraged a new. This this is where we pick up the flow in John 10 in verse 31 before dropping back to chapter 3 and Nicodemus.

John 10:31-39 "Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, 'Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?' The Jews answered him, saying, "For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God." Jesus answered them, 'Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;  Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.' Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand." (KJV)

John 10:31-39 "The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, 'I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?' The Jews answered him, "It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God." Jesus answered them, 'Is it not written in (Psalm 82:6 of) your Law, "I said, you are gods?" If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken—do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, "You are blaspheming," because I said, 'I am the Son of God?' If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.' Again they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands." (ESV)

John 10:31--39 "This filled the Jews with renewed rage and they picked up stones to stone him. Then Jesus questioned them saying, 'I have openly shown you many good works confirming my union with my Father; for which one of these do you stone me?' They said, "We are not stoning you for something that you have done but for what you have just said! You blasphemed God! You are a mere man and you make yourself equal with God! (The penalty for blasphemy was death by stoning - Leviticus 24:16.) Jesus said, 'Is it not written in (Psalm 82:6 of) your Law, "'I said you are gods?'" And if he called them gods, to whom the word of GOD came, and Scripture cannot be dissolved; dare you say of him whom the Father has consecrated and commissioned into the world, "You blasphemy!" because I said that I am the Son of GOD? (Sonship implies union with the Father. Look at Hebrews 1:1-3 and Revelation 12:7) If I was not doing my Father's works then you would have reason not to believe me; But if I do, then even if you do not believe me believe the works; then you will understand and be convinced that the Father is in me and I am in him!' And again they sought to seize him as they had tired repeatedly in the past, but he escaped out of their hands." (The Mirror)

I now want to back up to Nicodemus in John 3, to see what the Mirror Study Bible, alone reveals there. Because of what is stated there and the last portion of John 10:40-43's dealing with John the baptist and his statements concerning Jesus.

John 3:1-3 "Now among them there was a man who was a prominent leader among the Jews, a Pharisee name Nicodemus. He came to see Jesus under the cover of night and said to him, "Rabbi, it is [1]clear for all of us that you [2]came from GOD as a Teacher-the signs you perform are proof that GOD is [6] with you! [3]No one is [4]able to do these signs you do [5]if they are not in [6]union with GOD. (The thoughts from the following 6 words are repeated in the answer Jesus gives Nicodemus: [1]oidamen, from eido, to perceive, to see; to discern. [2]eleuthas, from erchomai, to come from; [3]oudeis, no one; [4]dunamis, to be capable; able; to have the power to accomplish. [5]ean me, unless; if not; meta, together with; to be included in, to be in union with.) Jesus answered him emphatically; 'no one would even be able to recognize anything as coming from GOD's domain unless they are born from above to begin with! The very fact that it is possible to perceive that I AM in union with GOD, as a human being, reveals humanity's genesis from above!' (Notice from the previous verse how Jesus employs a play of words from the question of Nicodemus. Here Jesus uses the word anouthen meaning from above - look at James 1:17, every good and perfect gift comes anothen [from above].)

John 3:4-8 "Nicodemus did not understand this answer at all and said to him, "How can a person be born if they are already grown-up? Surely one cannot re-enter your mother's womb and be born a second time? (Nicodemus looks at the subject merely from the physical material side. His "second time" is not the same as Jesus' "from above." As Godet remarks, "he does not understand the difference between a second beginning and a different beginning.") Jesus answered with, 'you have to get this, unless someone is born out of water (the womb) and Spirit, there would be no possible connection with the realm of GOD! Whatever originates out of the flesh is flesh; but what is sourced in Spirit is spirit! ( When you look at a baby, it's just that: a baby you can look at and touch. But the person who takes shape within is formed by something you can't see and touch---the Spirit! That is to say breath, breathed into it, GOD.) Don't be so surprised when I say to you[manity - plural!] You couldn't get here in the flesh unless you got here from above! (Look at John 1:13 These are the ones who discover their genesis in GOD beyond their natural conception! This is not about our GOD-begotteness; we are his dream come true! We are not the invention of our parents! [You are the greatest idea GOD ever had!]) We can observe the effect the wind has and hear its sound whenever it touches objects - yet those objects do not define the wind; it comes and goes of its own accord - if life was not born out of spirit in the first place, it would not be possible to detect spirit influence at all! We are spirit-compatible by design!'" (Spirit is our origin!(Genesis 1:26a, 27, 2:7) Not our mather's womb! Look at 2Corinthians 3:3 The fact that you are a Christ-Epistle shines as bright as day! This is what our ministry is all about. The Spirit of GOD is the living link. Every race of the Spirit's influence on the heart is what gives permanence to this conversation. We are not talking law-language here; this is more dynamic and permanent than letters chiseled in stone. This conversation is your inner consciousness. [It is the life of your design that grace echoes within us!])

I will, the LORD willing continue with this in our next post.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 10.2 the renewed mind.

Our next area of interest is where Jesus asserts His deity but like the stiff necked people all around Him the leadership takes on the same characteristics of them, or is it the other way around? Picking up the flow at verse 22 of John 10.

John 10:22-30 "It was at Jerusalem during the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. When Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, "How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly." Jesus answered them, 'I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.'" (KJV)

John 10:22-30 "At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." Jesus answered them, 'I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name bear witness about me, but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.'" (ESV)

John 10:22-30 "Now in Jerusalem they were celebrating the feast of the Renewal of the Temple - which was in winter. (This feat of Renewal, or new beginnings - [Strong's G1456] ἐγκαίνια, egkainia, eng-kah'ee-nee-ah, [1]en=kainos - also known as the Feast of Dedication - today or the Feast of Lights - which was 3 months after the Feast of Tabernacles -today Hanukkah - meaning to understand, to teach - lasting eight days from the 25th day of Kisleo (in December) and commemorating the re-dedication of the Temple in 165 BC by the Maccabees after its desecration by the Syrians. It is marked by the successive kindling of eight lights. It was instituted by Judas Maccabeus, his friends, and the elders of the congregation of Israel in commemoration of the reconsecration of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, and especially of the altar of burnt offerings, after they had been desecrated during the persecution under Antiochus Epiphanes (168BC). This happened on the day, 3 years after the destruction of the temple. The significant happenings of the festival were the illumination of houses and synagogues, and the singing of Psalm 30.

Jesus lived and communicated from his awareness of the prophetic significance of his life's mission in laying down his life and in co-raising fallen humanity together with him in his resurrection - Hosea 6:2 / Ephesians 2:5. Look at John 2:19 To which Jesus responded, 'The temple will be completely demolished by you and in three days I will raise it up!'

It is also interesting to note that the numerical value of the name Jesus, is 888 - The name of Jesus in Greek is spelled I H S Oh U S (iota, eta, sigma, omicron, upsilon, sigma). Substituting in the Greek numeral system the equivalent numerical values to each letter in the name of Jesus and adding them up, the total is 888. The values of each letter are: iota, 8, sigma, 200; omicron, 70; upsilon, 400; sigma, 200. The sum of 10=8=200=70=400=200 is 888.)
Jesus was wandering around in the temple in Solomon's porch. (A covered colonnade on the eastern side of the outer court of the temple - a relic of Solomon's days, which had remained intact in the destruction of the temple by Nebuchadnezzar. Very much in the next Jewish festival - 4 months later - he would fulfill John 1:29 and 2:19 as the Lamb of GOD to be slaughtered by his own people - for his Father to raise him up on the 3rd day and for humanity to be rebooted into newness of life! En kainos!) Suddenly the Jews closed in on him and demanded to know, "How long will you keep our soul suspended in mid-air? If you are the Christ then tell us plainly!" Jesus answered them, 'I have told you and you would not believe; all I do is endorsed by my Father and in his name and these works confirm my words. Your unbelief shows that you are from a different Shepherd's flock, as I've said before. (You have made deception your Shepherd. John 8:38, 43, 44. John 8:43 You do not understand my language because you are not hear my logic! [My dialect seems foreign to you because you are not familiar with the Logic of GOD. You might be acquainted with the letter of the Law in Scripture but you are not acquainted with the Word! Look at John 5:39-40 and 8:31. The word lalia means dialect or language.]) My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me. And I give them the life of the ages and they shall never be lost neither shall anyone wrestle them out of my hand. as for my Father, what He has given me is most precious and no-one can snatch then out of his hand! (Look at Westcott and Hart text, which is more reliable and uses older manuscripts than the Textus Receptus. That which my Father has given me is greater than all. The greatness of the value of the flock, is the ground of their safety. And the Weymouth NT, "What my Father has given me is more precious than all besides; and no one is able to wrest anything from my Father's hand.") My Father and I are One!'"

We will look at the Jews response in our next post, the LORD willing.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 10.1 the renewed mind.

Picking up with verse 11 and the LORDS claim to being the only good Shepherd. This chapter is filled with golden treasures of wisdom and the knowledge in light of the gospel.

John 10:11-18 (Jesus is speaking) "'I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.'" (KJV)

John 10:11-18 (Jesus is speaking) "'I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.'" (ESV)

John 10:11-18 "'I am the Shepherd, the good one who lays down his life for the sheep. (Look at Ezekiel 34:23) In contrast, the hireling who is not the Shepherd and owner of the sheep, sees the wolf approaching and leaves the sheep unattended and flees for his own life while the wolf kills and scatters the sheep at will! The hireling is doing the job merely for wages and not because of any affection for the sheep. I am the Shepherd, the good one who knows what is mine and they know me! My knowledge of the Father is anchored in his knowledge of me. Because i know my Father's heart I lay down my life for the sheep. I also have other sheep that are not from this fold; I must lead them too for them to hear my voice and so there will be one flock and one Shepherd. (Second Aorist active Infinitive of ago with dei expressing the urgency of his mission.) My Father's love is the compelling urgency of my mission which is to lay down my life and receive it again in my resurrection. No one takes my life from me, I know who I am when Lay it down and from that same place of my I-Am-ness, I take it us again. This is the [2]conclusion of my Father's prophetic purpose which is what I am all about. (The word often translated authority or power is the word exousia, from ek+eimi, out of I am. The word [2]entole, which is often translated commandment or precept, has two components: en, in and telos, from tello, to set out for a definite point or goal; properly the point aimed at as a limit, that is, by implication, the conclusion of an act or state, the result; the ultimate or prophetic purpose. Strong's G5056, look at 1John 2:3 in a KJV+ Bible.)

John 10:19-21 "There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. And many of them said, "He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?" Others said, "These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?" (KJV)

John 10:19-21 "There was again a division among the Jews because of these words. Many of them said, "He has a demon, and is insane; why listen to him?" Still others said, "These are not the words of one who is oppressed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?" (ESV)

John 10-19-21 "These words brought more division in their ranks. Many of them said that he had a demon and was mad; so, "Why waste your time listening to him?" Others said, "These words are definitely not the words of someone with a demon; also, demons do not open the eyes of the blind!" (The Mirror)

Next time, the LORD willing, we will look at Jesus' assertion of His Deity, that causes so many to stumble so much.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 10 the renewed mind.

We are now in John chapter 9 and working our way through it with care as not to trip over any vital information hidden within its context. Picking up the flow with verse 18 and for this I will use only the new Mirror Study Bible, instead of doing the three, just to show that there really is not much variation in context make-up. For the real difference comes from within us as we read and GODS Spirit opens our spiritual eyes and ears to hear Him (1Corinthians 12; 2Corinthians 3:6, 18) open up the scriptures to us for us, as the living Word that abides within us.

John 9:18-23; 24-34; 35-41 "The Jews then began to doubt whether he was blind after all, so they addressed the parents. "Is this your son who you say was born blind? How is it that he now sees?" The parents said, "Of course we know that this is our son who now sees and who it is who opened his eyes, we have no idea! He is a grown boy, why don't you ask him to speak for himself?" They chose their words carefully for fear of offending the Jews since it was rumored that the Jewish leadership agreed to ban anyone from the synagogue should they confess Jesus to be the Messiah-Christ. For this reason the parents didn't want to commit themselves to an opinion but shifted the attention back to the boy himself, saying that he is of age and should be able to speak for himself.

Then they again called the man that was blind and said to him, "Give GOD the glory and agree with us that this man is a Sabbath breaker and sinner." He said, "I cannot say whether he is a sinner or not, but one thing I do know is that once I was blind but now I see!" They wanted to hear it again and asked him, "So what did he do to you, how did he open your eyes?" He said, "But I have told you and you are not hearing me; why would you want to hear it again, are you perhaps also desiring to become his followers?" They scorned him and accused him to be a Jesus-disciple! "We are disciples of Moses! We know that God communicated with Moses but who can tell where this fellow is from?" The man answered them, "I am amazed that you just cannot see this; how can you not perceive where he is from? I mean, hello! He opened my eyes! Are we not supposed to know that sinners don't dictate to GOD - but those who worship GOD and desires to perform his delight has a "hot-line" to heaven. Since the beginning of time no one has ever heard of anyone who opened the eyes of a man born blind! If this is not proof of this man's close acquaintance with GOD, then what is - he would be powerless to perform anything on his own." They replied, "You were born in utter sin and here you are trying to teach the Saints!" And they cast him out.

Jesus heard that they cast him out and went looking for him; when he found him, he asked him, 'Do you believe in the son of GOD?' He answered, "Then who is he Sir, that I may believe in him?" Jesus said, 'You have seen him, and he is speaking to you!' And he said, "Lord, I believe." And he worshiped him. 'I have come to judge the world's blindness - so that they who are blind may see and those who think that they see may become blind.' Some of the Pharisees overheard him and said, "So, are we also blind?" Jesus said, 'If you were blind you would have no sin, but now you say you see and your sin continues!'" (The Mirror)

Okay, now for chapter tens gold mine of treasures and riches of divine inspiration of great wealth. My intent is to combine chapter 3 with its Nicodemus teaching into chapter 10, just where and how I am not at this moment sure.

John 10:1-10 (Jesus is speaking) "'Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.' This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. Then said Jesus unto them again, 'Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.'" (KJV)

John 10:1-10 (Jesus is speaking) "'Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.' This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them. So Jesus again said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.'" (ESV)

John 10:1-10 "'I want to make this very clear to you, someone whose agenda is to steal and to plunder the sheep will not come through the gate of the sheepfold; they would climb over the wall or use some other obscure way. The Shepherd of the sheep enters by the door. (In the context of Jesus' conversation he emphasizes that the sheep wouldn't expect the Shepherd-Messiah to come from anywhere else from the Father.) The gate warden lets him in and the sheep recognize his voice; he calls his sheep by name and leads them out. (He leads them out of the prophetic enclosure - the fold of safety - into life - where my soul is restored in green pastures! By the waters of reflection my soul remembers who I am - and even if I go through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil. Psalm 23) And when he leads (Corinthians 6:11-7:3, Revelation 18, our being called out from among them) them out, he goes before them and the sheep follow him; for they are familiar with his voice. They will never follow the stranger but will flee from him since they do not know his voice.' Jesus told his disciples this illustration but they did not understand what he meant by it. 'Let me say it like this then,' Jesus continued with, 'I am the doorway of the sheep. The so-called Shepherds and saviors who preceded me are the thieves and plunderers but the sheep did not recognize their voices. I am the door and the sheep who enter because of who I am are safe to roam freely and find pasture. While the thief "Shepherds" have no other agenda but to steal, kill, destroy and he couldn't care less if he [1]lost some sheep. I have come with the sole purpose for you to have life in its most complete form.' (The word [1] apolumi, to lose, is often translated to perish. Look at Luke 15)" (The Mirror)

The LORD willing we will pick things up again here at verse 11, next time.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 9 the renewed mind.

I have turned the page and found chapter 9 of John's synoptic gospel where a blind man receives sights, and I have to ask have You? For I to was blind and I told the LORD so. This took place back on September 16th of 1966 after repeating the "sinner's prayer" printed out in the back cover of a small Gidgeon Serviceman's Bible. Now for chapter 9 of John's gospel proof of the authority and power of Christ in the man Jesus.

John 9:1-12 "And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, "Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, 'Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.' When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, and said unto him, 'Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.)' He went (made) his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, "Is not this he that sat and begged?" Some said, "This is he:" others said, "He is like him: but he said, I am he." Therefore said they unto him, "How were thine eyes opened?" He answered and said, "A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight." Then said they unto him, "Where is he?" He said, "I know not." (KJV)

John 9:1-12 "As Jesus passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, 'It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.' Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud and said to him, 'Go, wash in the pool of Siloam' (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing. The neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar were saying, "Is this not the man who used to sit and beg?" Some said, "It is he." Others said, "No, but he is like him." He kept saying, "I am the man." So they said to him, "Then how were your eyes opened?" He answered, "The man called Jesus made mud and anointed my eyes and said to me, 'Go to Siloam and wash.' So I went and washed and received my sight." They said to him, "Where is he?" He said, "I do not know." (ESV)

John 9:1-12 "On his way Jesus noticed a man who was born blind. And his followers asked him, "Master, whose sin is responsible for this man's condition; is he punished for his own sins, or perhaps for his parent's sins? Why was he born blind?" Jesus answered emphatically, 'His condition has absolutely nothing to do with any sins committed either by himself or his parents! Neither him nor his parents were guilty of sin, this is an opportunity for GOD's action (in Christ) to be unveiled in him! (Jesus again disarms the Karma-principle that religion hings on!) [1]We together must occupy ourselves to accomplish the work of him who sent me - you must take sides with me! (The best texts read [1]ἡμᾶς, hēmas (Strong's G2248), us, instead of ἐμέ, eme (Strong's G1691), me. We cannot pull in two opposite directions in the same team! Grace and Karma do not go hand in hand!) The [1]repeated presence of my "I-am-ness" in the world is the light of the world! I am the light of the cosmos!' (Look at Colossians 3:4, The word, [1]otan, often translated as "when" is better translated to read "every time." Thus, "Every time Christ is revealed we are being co-revealed in his glory." According to Walter Bauer Lexicon, otan is often used of an action that is repeated. The word, kosmos in the NT refers to the entire human family.) Having said that, He spat on the ground and made clay with the spittle; then he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. (The clay reminds of the Genesis 2 account of mans creation as the earthen vessel that became flesh - after the "fall," flesh represents the blindfold-mode, now to be washed off in the waters of spirit dimension.) And said to him, 'Go was in the pool of Siloam. The Hebrew word meaning outflow. The man went there and washed and returned seeing! (An outflow of waters which reminds of Jesus' urgent announcment at the pool of Siloam on the great day of the feast of tabernacles, 'Rivers of living waters will flow out of your innermost being!') The people in the neighborhood and those who knew him before said, "Is this not the blind beggar?" Some agreed while others doubted but he said, "Yes, I am he!" Then they asked him, "How did it happen that you received your sight?" He answered with, "A man named Jesus made clay and smeared it over my eyes and said to go to Siloam and wash there, so I went there and washed and [1]looked up!" ([1]ἀναβλέπω, anablepō [Strong's G308] means to look up, as in Matthew 14:19 and Mark 16:4) They wanted to know where Jesus was, but the man did not know." (The Mirror)

John 9:13-17 "They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, "He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see." Therefore said some of the Pharisees, "This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day." Others said, "How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles?" And there was a division among them. They say unto the blind man again, "What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes?" He said, "He is a prophet." (KJV)

John 9:13-17 "They brought to the Pharisees the man who had formerly been blind. Now it was a Sabbath day when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes. So the Pharisees again asked him how he had received his sight. And he said to them, "He put mud on my eyes, and I washed, and I see." Some of the Pharisees said, "This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath." But others said, "How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?" And there was a division among them. So they said again to the blind man, "What do you say about him, since he has opened your eyes?" He said, "He is a prophet." (ESV)

John 9:13-17 "Then they took him to the Pharisees, since it was Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes. (They knew that the Pharisees would have something to say about their Sabbatical Laws that were disregarded by this man Jesus!) The Pharisees demanded to know exactly how it happened that he received his sight. He said, "He put clay on my eyes and I washed and now I see." The Pharisees were divided in their opinion; some of them immediately said, "This man cannot be closely associated with God at all since he does not honor the Sabbath. While others were in question with, "How can someone who is an obvious sinner according to our law, do such miracles?" They then asked the blind man, "So what do you say about this man who opened your eyes?" He said that he thinks Jesus is a Prophet." (The Mirror)

The rest of this chapter is rich in spiritual things but lacked definitive statements for argument. There is one area where Jesus states just who He is and affirms His Deity. So I may just plow through to this area.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 8.4 the renewed mind.

Today we find the Jewish leadership snapping back at Jesus with their only legitimate claim to fame that being their heirship to Abraham. But even than they have run their only claim into the ground by their lack of faith in GOD. Jesus being who He is stands His ground and tells them just who and what they are, and then blows them away by saying that before Abraham was I am. Beginning at verse 48 through the end of chapter 8, here goes.

John 8:48-59 "Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, "Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?" Jesus answered, 'I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.' Then said the Jews unto him, "Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, "'If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.'" Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?" Jesus answered, 'If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.' Then said the Jews unto him, "Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?" Jesus said unto them, 'Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.' Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by." (KJV)

John 8:48-59 "The Jews answered Jesus with, "Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?" Jesus answered, 'I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me. Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it, and he is the judge. Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death." The Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, "'If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.'" Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be?" Jesus answered, 'If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, 'He is our God. But you have not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word. Your father Abraham rejoiced that he saw my day. He saw it and was glad.' So the Jews said to him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?" Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am!' So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple." (ESV)

John 8:48-59 "The Jews snapped back at Jesus, "We were right all along! You are a Samaritan dog and demon possessed!" Jesus answered, 'I do not have a demon and I honor my Father while you insult me! I am not here to defend my own opinion; GOD is the judge of my glory. Truly truly do I say to you, that anyone who treasures my word will not consider death to be of any relevance beyond this age!' The Jews replied, "Now we are more convinced than ever, that you do have a demon! Abraham and the Prophets died and you say that if someone treasures your word death will be of no relevance to them unto the (this) age! Are you greater than our father Abraham who is dead and the Prophets who are also dead? Who do you think you are?" Jesus said, 'If I honor myself, my honor means nothing; actually it is my Father who honors me, the one you claim to be your God! You have never really known him; I know him personally and would lie if I'd say that I haven't seen him! I am not lying like you; I have seen him and treasure his logos! (Deception is born in the "I-am-not" idea.) Your father Abraham was leaping with joy to see my day! What he was made him exceedingly glad!' Then the Jews said, "Ha! You're not even fifty years old and you claim to have seen Abraham!" 'Most certainly do I say to you that before Abraham was born, I am!'(John 1:1 Three times in this sentence John uses the imperfect of eimi, namely ane, to be, which conveys no idea of origin for GOD or for the Logos, but simply continuous existence, "I AM." Quite a different verb egeneto, "became," appears in John 1:14 for the beginning of the Incarnation of the Logos.  The Incarnation is not the origin of Jesus, neither of us! Look at the distinction sharply drawn in John 8:58, "before Abraham was [born, genesthao from ginomai] I am." The word eimi, I am; the essence of being, suggesting timelessness in existence. Look at 1Peter 1:16.) By now they were ready to stone him, but Jesus slipped out of their sight and left the temple area." (The Mirror)

In our next chapter there are some interesting things reported, which we shall look into, the LORD willing, next time. Or at least we will begin to. By now we should all be or have grown in the true and accurate knowledge of the LORD and I am thinking based on that that maybe I should look at doing something else with this blog. How many can express the wonders of GOD and the LORD of Lord?

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 8.3 the renewed mind.

Still in John 8, now beginning at verse 39 where we find the Jewish leaders hung up on the old Abraham heritage, not see the significance of it. Being blinded by their own outward sin, of a distorted mindset, that only sees the worst of the world around them. Now I might say this, the term Christ or Messiah means, One Sent as the anointed.

John 8:44 of 39-47 "They answered and said to Jesus, "Abraham is our father." Jesus saith unto them, 'If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father.' Then said they to him, "We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God." Jesus said unto them, 'If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.'" (KJV)

John 8:44 of 39-47 "They answered him, "Abraham is our father." Jesus said to them, 'If you were Abraham's children, you would be doing the works Abraham did, but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did. You are doing the (distorted, wrong mindset) works your father did.' They said to him, "We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father—even God." Jesus said to them, 'If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me. Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me. Which one of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.'" (ESV)

John 8:44 of 39-47 "They immediately responded with, "But Abraham is our father!" To which Jesus replied, 'If you were conceived by Abraham's faith, you would mirror his persuasion! (Jesus said in John 6:29 This is the work of GOD, your belief in the Christ the One that He sent!) But here you are, desiring to destroy me because I declare to you the truth which I heard from a place of intimate acquaintance (this is our own starting place once our eyes and ears are set right, we begin to see and hear what the Scriptures speak to us personally just as they did Jesus) with GOD; this certainly does not reflect Abraham's faith!  Your actions clearly show who your father is!' They said to him, "We are not conceived in fornication, God is our Father!" Jesus said, 'If you were convinced that GOD was your Father, you would love me. Look, here I am! I did not arrive here by my own doing; (neither did or do we) I proceeded from him who sent me! You do not understand my [1]language because you do not hear my logic! (My dialect seems foreign to you [this is also true of our's when speak as Jesus did] because you are not familiar with the Logic of GOD. You might be acquainted with the letter of the Law in Scripture but you are not acquainted with the Word! Look at John 5:39-40 and 8:31. The word [1]lalia means dialect or language.) You are the offspring of a [1]fallen mindset and you desire to prove its diabolic parenthood in your willingness to execute its cravings. This "cast down" mindset is what kills the [2]antropos since the beginning - [it violently opposes the idea of the image and likeness of GOD in human form.] The diabolos mindset cannot abide the truth. There is no connection with truth - lying is its [3]language; in fact, the diabolos is the father of lies! (The word, [1]diabolos, Devil, has two components, dia, because of or through, and ballo, to cast down; thus referring to the cast down condition humanity suffered in (Genesis 3) association with Adam's fall [from grace]. The word for the human species, male or female is anthropos, from ana, upwards, and tropos, manner of life; character; in like manner. Look at John 1:51, 2:25. The word [3]lalia, means dialect or language.) And here I am communicating that which is absolutely true but you are not at all convinced! Is there anyone among you who can prove me guilty of sin? So if I am telling you the truth, why would you not believe me? Whoever realizes their origin in GOD immediately recognizes the language of GOD; you do not make that connection since you don't realize your true origin in GOD!'" (The Mirror)

Now this should explain the difference of humanities beings, as those of the right, One with GOD having a right mindset and those of the left, those of a false mindset. Our next area is connected to this one and we will complete it, the LORD willing, next time.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 8.2 the renewed mind

In our last post we saw the "light of GOD" in Christ Jesus, where Christ is the wisdom of GOD the Father as first heard of in Genesis 2 when it states that GOD brought man to a place of naming all life forms. Shortly after forming man a body of dirt, made from mud and water and the breath of GOD's breathing into this clay substance His Spirit, "breath," of His Light and Life. Made in His image and likeness an "I am one being" with my Father. In absolute harmony and divine relationship. This is what man lost in Genesis 3 and what Jesus as the anointed Christ, mission was to restore within receptive humanity. Now still in John 8 we find that this Truth will set you free, and then the opposition or the party of great resistance. Here goes!

John 8:31-33, 34-38 "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, 'If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.' They answered him, "We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, 'Ye shall be made free?'"
Jesus answered them, 'Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.'" (KJV)

John 8:31-33, 34-38 "So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, 'If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.' They answered him, "We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, 'You will become free?'"
Jesus answered them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. I know that you are offspring of Abraham; yet you seek to kill me because my word finds no place in you. I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.'" (ESV)

John 8:31-33, 34-38 "Jesus then said to those Jews who were believing in him, 'To take my word to its complete conclusion and then to abide in seamless union with its logic is to truly be my disciple. (Here, he is not referring to some future "red-letter-edition Bible" highlighting his "words;" Jesus is speaking about the Logos defining his "I-am-ness" [of the first Adams being], the face to face with GOD before time was being, then documented in prophetic language in ancient Scripture and now unveiled in incarnate human form, as in a mirror.) In this abiding you will fully know the truth about who you are and this knowing will be your freedom.' They answered him, "We are the seed of Abraham; we have never been anybody's slaves! Why do you suggest that we are not free?"
Jesus answered and said, 'I say to you with absolute certainty that everyone engaged in the distorted mindset of sin is slave to it!' (Sin is not about things you do or don't do - sin is missing out on sonship! Their failing to see Jesus as their Messiah, and him as the mirror image Redeemer of their true sonship, is their sin. Religion is enslaved to the fruit of the wrong tree. The sin-system is governed by the idea of justification by personal effort, performance and pretense; which is the typical fruit of the "I am-not-mindset" which Peter refers to as the futile ways we inherited from our fathers. 1Peter 1:18) The difference between the slave and the son is that the slave only works there; for the son, the father's house is home! With the freedom found in sonship there is [1]no pretense! (Free indeed! The word, [1]ontoos, indeed is the opposite to what is pretended.) I know you are the seed of Abraham, yet you are seeking opportunity to kill me because my word finds no [1]reonance in you! (The word χωρέω - chōreō - kho-reh'-o Strong's G5562, relates to a [1]chorus, harmony in song or dance; the word could also derive from χώρα - chōra - kho'-rah, Strong's G5561, which refers to space between limits.) I observed my Father's voice with close attention; this inspires my every expression. You hear a different father's voice and behave accordingly!'"

I would really like to look at what comes next, but at times I have carried things a bit to far and this could well be said of the next issue. Therefore I will hold it back until next time, the LORD willing. When we shall look into, "You Are of Your Father the Devil!"

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 8.1 the renewed mind

We are in chapter 8 of John's synoptic gospel being with the revealed revelation of who Christ is, through the mouth of Jesus Himself. His being the first of millions upon millions who would flow in agreement with Him and become His brothers and sisters of GOD's original intent. This section being where Jesus uses the word "light" to describe Himself, this is but one example of His being for not long ago He said that He was (His flesh was) the bread, and that His blood was true drink, placing the pass over meal into its proper place. The combining of two into one human being, made of flesh as GOD'S true being. Then Jesus as the Spirit (Christ) combined in John's chapter 17, is where He expresses, in Jesus' priestly prayer, that which reveals our true one-ness of spirit. Many say that to have a renewed mind is to have the mind of Christ, today, begins the adventure of just how true this thought is.

John 8:12-20 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, 'I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.' The Pharisees therefore said unto him, "Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true." Jesus answered and said unto them, 'Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.' Then said they unto him, "Where is thy Father?" Jesus answered, 'Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.' These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come." (KJV)

John 8:12-20 "Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.' So the Pharisees said to him, "You are bearing witness about yourself; your testimony is not true." Jesus answered, 'Even if I do bear witness about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from or where I am going. You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me. In your Law it is written that the testimony of two people is true. I am the one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.' They said to him therefore, "Where is your Father?" Jesus answered, 'You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.' These words he spoke in the treasury, as he taught in the temple; but no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come."  (ESV)

John 8:12-20 "And Jesus continued to say, 'I am the light of the world - whoever journeys with me shall not walk (again) in darkness but will [1]radiate the light of life!' (The word [1]echo, to hold; resonate; in this case, radiate.) The Pharisees took offence at this and responded with, "You assume things about yourself; how can you expect us to believe your record to be true?" Jesus answered, 'Whatever I declare concerning myself is absolutely true because I know where I am from and where I am going. You have no clue where I come from and therefore cannot discern my destiny. You form your own judgment according to the flesh; I judge no-one. And even if I do make a judgment, it is true since I am not making it up in my imagination or on my own accord, my reference reflects the testimony of the Father who sent me. That should settle it for you since it is written in your Law that the testimony of two, is true! (This combined witness of two is not true just because they agree, unless true in fact separately. But if they disagree, the testimony falls to the ground. Deuteronomy 17:6 and 19:15 - See also Hebrews 6:13-20 and Revelation 11:3.) I am witness to who I am and my Father himself also bears witness to me.' Then they said to him, "So where is your Father?" And Jesus answered with, 'My Father is just as invisible to you as I am - if you perceived me you would have also seen my Father!' Jesus spoke these words in the temple treasury; yet no-one arrested him since his time was still not due." (The Mirror)

John 8:21-30 "Then said Jesus again unto them, 'I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.' Then said the Jews, "Will he kill himself? because he saith, 'Whither I go, ye cannot come.'" And he said unto them, 'Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.' Then said they unto him, "Who art thou?" And Jesus saith unto them, 'Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.' They understood not that he spake to them of the Father. Then said Jesus unto them, 'When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.' As he spake these words, many believed on him." (KJV)

John 8:21-30 "So he said to them again, 'I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.' So the Jews said, "Will he kill himself, since he says, 'Where I am going, you cannot come'?" He said to them, 'You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.' So they said to him, "Who are you?" Jesus said to them, 'Just what I have been telling you from the beginning. I have much to say about you and much to judge, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him.' They did not understand that he had been speaking to them about the Father. So Jesus said to them, 'When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me. And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.' As he was saying these things, many believed in him." (ESV)

John 8:21-30 "And again Jesus said to them, 'I will go on my way and [1]disappear from your view and you will still seek me, yet die in your [2]sin; your belief-system keeps you trapped in blindfold-mode to make it impossible for you to reach me where I am - your religion is a cul-de-sac!' (The word [1]upago, to lead under, as in a sinking out of sight, to disappear. The word for sin, [2]hamartia is in the singular, suggesting not sinful acts but rather a condition of a distorted mindset - from ha, negative and meros, portion of form, thus to be without your allotted portion or without form, pointing to a disorientated, distorted identity; the word meros, is the stem of the word morphe, as in 2Corinthians 3:18 where the word metamorphe, with form [transform] is the opposite of hamartia - without form. Sin is to live out of context with the blueprint of one's design; to behave out of tune with God's original harmony.) The Jews reasoned that maybe he would kill himself in order to go to a different world because he said, "You cannot come with me." Jesus said to them, 'You draw your conclusions from the sense ruled world here below - my source points to a different dimension, a realm which is above the horizon of the senses. (Look at Colossians 3:1-4) That is why I said that you will die in your sins because you are not convinced about who I am, you wouldn't know who you are! Your unbelief in my I-am-ness will keep you trapped in this death-ruled dimension, the very dimension that I have come to deliver you from!' They asked him again, "Then who are you really?" He answered, 'I have told you from the beginning who I am! I have many things to say to you and conclude about you in my personal capacity but since you do not believe in me it will mean nothing to you; but he who sent me is true, above your suspicious scrutiny. I speak to the world those things which I have from my close companionship with him.' They just could not make the connection - Jesus' claim about the Father made no sense to their reasoning at all. 'When you have lifted up the Son of man, [on cross of your judgment] then you will know and understand that I am and that my I-am-ness is demonstrated in my doing; nothing that I do [1]distracts from that; my doing mirrors exactly what my Father has taught me even as my speech reflects his word. ([1]apo, away from, and emautou myself. He constantly reminds them of the conclusion of his mission, see 3:14. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up.) And he who sent me on my mission also accompanies me; the Father has never [1]abandoned me for a moment! It is my delight to always do that which [2]pleases him. ([1]aphieimi - a word also used for a husband divorcing his wife. The word [2]arestos to please; it suggests to accommodate one's self to the opinions desires and interests of others.) While listening to him, many were persuaded that he was indeed the Christ." (The Mirror)

The LORD willing we will look at next "the Truth that sets us Free," part of which we have already studied. Now, I am not at all defending mans "Christendom," because no defense can be made for man's religions that so loosely claim to be what they are not! Look at Mark 7:7-9 of 6-9 (KJV) "He (Jesus) answered and said unto them, 'Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.' And he said unto them, 'Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.'"
Now for the ESV translation for ease of reading: "And he said to them, 'Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, "This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.'" And he said to them, 'You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition!'" Many churches have been founded over the last two millennia claiming to belong to Jesus, that He does not recognize. Looking at Matthew 15:13 of 12-14 where we find this in the ESV: "Then the disciples came and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?" Jesus answered, 'Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.'" It is Jesus who builds His church not some man with / of good intentions.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 8 the renewed mind

Starting chapter 8 of John's synoptic gospel message of witness to Christ in Jesus, the man of promise (Deuteronomy 18:15-22), and purpose of GOD's divine will, for the restoring our original design. To through Him, restoring humanity to a right mindset, the mindset of Genesis 2. By puting aside the I am-not being that works against GOD's intent for His human-beings. Okay! Lets look at John 8 where Jesus has retreated to the Mount of Olives.

John 8:1-11 "Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, they say unto him, "Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?" This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, 'He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.' And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, 'Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?' She said, "No man, Lord." And Jesus said unto her, 'Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.'" (KJV)

John 8:1-11 "Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them. The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst they said to him, "Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?" This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, 'Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.' And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. Jesus stood up and said to her, 'Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?' She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, 'Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.'" (ESV) [How many miss this point, no where does Jesus tell this woman to repent of her wrong way of life, He does however tell her not to remain in her former ways doing the old habits.]

John 8:1-11 Jesus proceeded to the Mount of Olives. Early dawn he was back at the Temple where many people sought to be near him to hear his teach - he sat down and taught. Meanwhile the scribes and pharisees led a woman to him who was forcefully seized in the act of adultery and made her stand in the middle of the throng of people where everyone could stare at her. They said to him, "Teacher, this woman was caught committing adultery. Now Moses commanded us in the Law that adulterers should be stoned! What would you say?" They obviously had a clear agenda to snare him in their efforts to build a case of lawlessness against him. Jesus bent down and began to write with his finger on the ground, distracting attention from the girl. They continued to interrogate him, then he stood up and looked them in the eyes (pros) and said, 'He who is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her!' And he again bent down and continued writing on the ground. They began to walk away one after the other beginning with the oldest. Until Jesus was left alone with the girl, still standing where here accusers dumped her. ("Being convicted by their own conscience" is probably an addition made by some copyist the meaning, which is quite clear without it.) When Jesus stood up again, there was no-one there except the woman. So Jesus asked her, 'Where are they? Has no-one condemned you?' (Where are they, your accusers - your accusers was added by later copyists.) She answered, "No-one Lord!" And Jesus said to her, 'Neither am I condemning you - go and sin no more - never again believe a lie about yourself!' (The word translated sin, hamartia from ha, negative or without, and meros, portion of form; thus distorted pattern - the root of sin is to believe a lie about yourself. Romans 6:14 Sin was your master while the Law was your measure; now grace rules. [The Law revealed your slavery to sin; grace reveals your freedom from it. Jesus didn't say to the lady, "Go and sin less," He said to her 'Go and sin no more!' Jesus knew something about the life of our design that we has lost sight of! What he revealed, he also redeemed! Sin - consciousness is what empowers religion. It always amazes me how Simon could not receive the gift of the miraculous abundant catch nothing the previous night because "I am a sinful man!" He accepted his his fate as his due because his mind was educated under the Law of blessing and curses! [Deuteronomy 28.] When he witnessed the word and the miracle of the catch, he stood slotted back into his old familiar mode! "Depart from me Jesus! I am a sinful man! I am not worthy!" Luke 5:8)

Did you catch what was revealed here? Religion by its very existence is a mode of condemnation no matter it form. The LORD willing we look at  the light of the world next.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 7.15 the renewed mind.

We are slowly closing in on the end of John 7. Our next subject area is where we find division of the people concerning Jesus, and then the corrupt unbelieving priests. All examples of our own day and time, even after GOD changed the seasons of history through Christ's death, our death and burial, and our dissension into our hell and our resurrection and ascension in Him into the kingdom of heaven, His and our own place of true origin (Genesis 1:26-27). Now, Keep in mind that John by the power of the Holy Spirit within him gives an eye witness account of his observations when he walked with Jesus for His three and a half years, of doing the will of GOD. While the others, records, were done by interview with people like John, for the most part. To give witness to Christ and substance to John's witness, with that of Paul's.

John 7:40-44 "Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, "Of a truth this is the Prophet." Others said, "This is the Christ." But some said, "Shall Christ come out of Galilee? Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?" So there was a division among the people because of him. And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him." (KJV)

John 7:40-44 "When they heard these words, some of the people said, "This really is the Prophet." Others said, "This is the Christ." But some said, "Is the Christ to come from Galilee? Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the offspring of David, and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David was?" So there was a division among the people over him. Some of them wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him." (ESV)

The Mirror Study Bible has no new revelation to express here so I will not rewrite from it here.

John 7:45-8:1 "Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, "Why have ye not brought him?" The officers answered, "Never man spake like this man." Then answered them the Pharisees, "Are ye also deceived? Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him? But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed." Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,) "Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?" They answered and said unto him, "Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet." And every man went unto his own house. Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. " (KJV)

John 7:45-8:1 "The officers then came to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them, "Why did you not bring him?" The officers answered, "No one ever spoke like this man!" The Pharisees answered them, "Have you also been deceived? Have any of the authorities or the Pharisees believed in him? But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed." Nicodemus, who had gone to him before, and who was one of them, said to them, "Does our law judge a man without first giving him a hearing and learning what he does?" They replied, "Are you from Galilee too? Search and see that no prophet arises from Galilee." They went each to his own house, but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives." (ESV)

John 7:45-8:1 "At this point the temple police returned to the chief priests and Pharisees who were surprised that they came back empty handed, "Why did you not arrest him?" The police officers answered with, "We have never heard anyone speak like this before!" The Pharisees were shocked, "Are you also deceived? Surely we, your leaders should be your informed gauge to what you believe and none of our priests or any of the Pharisees believe in him! But these ignorant crowds have no knowledge of the Law and are accursed!" (Look at Deuteronomy 27:26 "Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the Law, and do them.") Then one of them, Nicodemus, who secretly came to see Jesus earlier, interposed, "Does our Law condemn someone without first giving them a proper hearing or acquainting ourselves thoroughtly with his conduct?" They answered with a sneer at him, "So are you also a Galilean? Search the Scriptures and see for yourself that their is no mention of any furture Prophet emerging out of Galilee!" (Jonah, Hosea, Nahum, possibly Elijah, Elisha and Amos were from Galilee.) [Verses 53 and 8:1 are not in some of the oldest manuscripts - the reason could probably be that some copyists didn't feel comfortable with this dramatic account - we have no original MSS of the Bible - but thank GOD for the original authentic Logos and Spirit of Christ resonating in our hearts in the unveiling of Christ in us!] Everyone went to their homes, while Jesus proceeded on to the mount of Olives." (The Mirror)

Our next sect is from John 8 and begins with the woman caught in adultery.....

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 7.14 the renewed mind.

We are moving along with Jesus and His teaching of His mission that so many misunderstand or do not see at all because of religions blindness and slumber, as a spirit of stupor given to Israel for its unbelief. (Romans 11:8 of 7-10; Isaiah 29:10, Jeremiah 5:21) Much of the so called "Christian world" sufferers from the same condition because of the same unbelief even though they claim otherwise. Many of our day defend "Christendom" with no regard for Christ's revelation or the "petros," that is to say the rock of the ages, Peter being a small portion of that rock. Of Peter's fame, after he professed Jesus to be "the Messiah and Christ of GOD!" This is also spoken of by Matthew in 16:18 of 13-20; Mark in 8:27-30 and Luke in 9:18-21. Now! Because all religions are the same and everyone believes that theirs is different, or better than anyone else's, when in fact an in all truth they are not, for they are poto-types of the old Judaism, of Israel, with maybe a slightly different sping. They remain an obstacle that stands between GOD and His people, for they were such from earlier ages, of their, Israel's history, up to and including today. For the scriptures themselves tell us that when every the OT is read and followed there remains a veil that covers their eyes and ears, and this is true of all religions known of man. Here is the truth, we are in an age of relationship not political or even religious, for any of its many and varied forms can be seen in Revelation 17-19. Okay! here we are in John 7 picking up the flow at verse 25.

John 7:25-31 "Then said some of them of Jerusalem, "Is not this he, whom they seek to kill? But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is." Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, 'Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. For I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.' Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. And many of the people believed on him, and said, "When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?" (KJV)

John 7:25-31 "Some of the people of Jerusalem therefore said, "Is not this the man whom they seek to kill? And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Christ? But we know where this man comes from, and when the Christ appears, no one will know where he comes from." So Jesus proclaimed, as he taught in the temple, 'You know me, and you know where I come from. But I have not come of my own accord. He who sent me is true, and him you do not know. I know him, for I come from him, and he sent me.' So they were seeking to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come. Yet many of the people believed in him. They said, "When the Christ appears, will he do more signs than this man has done?" (ESV)

John 7:25-31 "The residents in Jerusalem were surprised that Jesus showed up publicly since it was common knowledge that the Jewish leadership sought opportunity to kill him. Here he is as outspoken as ever and they are silent! Perhaps they too know deep inside that he is truly the Christ. "But then again we know him and his family and are of the opinion that the origin of the Christ was suppose to be a mystery." This provoked Jesus to raise his voice passionately while he was teaching in the temple, "You claim to know me and where I come from, yet you fail to recognize that I am not here on my own mission; you clearly show that you do not know him who sent me. For I know him for I am his close companion and kinsman; he is the one who sent me.' (Again a different word to the English word "from" look back at verse 17 - para, is a preposition indicating close proximity, a thing proceeding from a sphere of influence, with a suggestion of union of place of residence, to have sprung from its author and giver, of origin thusly originating from, denoting the point from which an action originated, intimate connection - Jesus introduces the Holy Spirit in the same fashion and capacity; parakletos, meaning close companion, kinsman [John 14:16] - here it is used with kletos from kaleo, to surname - thus sharing the same family name.) This made them even more determined to seize him yet no one was able to touch him since his hour had not yet come." (The Mirror)

John 7:32-36 "The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him. Then said Jesus unto them, 'Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come.' Then said the Jews among themselves, "Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? What manner of saying is this that he said, "'Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?'" (KJV)

John 7:32-36 "The Pharisees heard the crowd muttering these things about him, and the chief priests and Pharisees sent officers to arrest him. Jesus then said, 'I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me. You will seek me and you will not find me. Where I am you cannot come.' The Jews said to one another, "Where does this man intend to go that we will not find him? Does he intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks? What does he mean by saying, "'You will seek me and you will not find me,' and, 'Where I am you cannot come?'" (ESV)

John 7:32-36 "The Pharisees were extremely worried when they realized that his popularity among the people, so with the support of their chief priests they ordered the temple police to arrest him. Jesus then said to them, 'I will only briefly remain with you where you can see me, then I will be on my way again, [1]sinking out of sight, to be [2]face to face with my Sender. (The word [1]upago suggests a leading "under" as in under cover. Again John employs the preposition [2]pros.) You will search for me but not find me and where I am your religion cannot take you!' The Jews couldn't imagine where he would go where they wouldn't find him. Maybe he would join the dispersed Jews and go teach the Gentiles. What would he mean by saying that we would seek him and not find him and "where I am you are powerless!" (The Mirror)

John 7:37-39 "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, 'If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.' (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)" (KJV)

John 7:37-39 "On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, 'If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, 'Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'" Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified." (ESV)

John 7:37-39 "On the final day, the crescendo of the eight-day Feast of Tabernacles (Booths), Jesus, knowing that he is the completeness of every prophetic picture and promise, cried out with a loud voice, 'If anyone is thirsty, let him come and stand [1]face to face with me and drink! (John again employs the word [1]pros in order to emphasize the face-to-face fellowship we are invited into.) In your realizing that I am what the Scriptures are all about, [1]you will discover uniquely for yourself, face to face with me, that I am what you are all about and rivers of living waters will gush out of your innermost being!' (Jesus addresses the individual; [1]you singular. here John records how Jesus witnessed the eighth day, the great and final day of the Feast of Tabernacles, when, according to Jewish custom, the High Priest would draw water from the Pool of Siloam with a golden jar, mix the water with wine (blood), and then pour it over the altar while the people would sing with great joy from Psalm 118: 25-26, look at the entire Psalm 118 which was obviously what Jesus reminded himself of and also Isaiah 12:3; "Therefore with joy shall we draw water from the wells of salvation!" Then, Jesus, knowing that he is the completeness of every prophetic picture and promise, cried out with a loud voice: 'If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink! If you believe that I am what the Scriptures are all about, you will discover that you are what I am all about, and rivers of living waters will gush from your innermost being1'" The Siloam tunnel is a winding tunnel carved into the rock, leading from the spring of Gihon to the Pool of Siloam. This dating from the time of Hezekiah [800BC] or earlier, it was an aqueduct that effectively replaced the Middle Bronze age channel. Gihon derives from the Hebrew Giha which means "gushing forth"!
When Jesus spoke of the water gushing forth out of our innermost being, he says that you are the city! You are the bride! GOD's redeemed society! Revelation 21:2 And I saw her, in spotless magnificence, the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of the heavens; having been fully prepared as a bride and beautifully adorned for her husband. (In total contrast to the symbolic religious Prostitute city of Babylon.)) Jesus spoke about the Spirit whom those who would believe that he is the conclusion of Scripture were about to [1]grasp since who Jesus was in all of his majestic splendor was not yet fully acknowledged and thus the Spirit was not yet evident. (The word often translated, to receive, [1]lambano, means to comprehend, grasp, to identify with. Note, Holy Spirit is an outpouring not an in-pouring!)

The LORD willing our next area will pick up with the least portion of chapter 7 before looking at the adulterous woman of chapter 8.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 7.13 the renewed mind.

So! Here we are with Jesus, and His holding back from entering Jerusalem during the Feast of Booths or Tabernacles as He is the subject of GODS dwelling within His creation, which this Feast celebrates. Picking things up at verse 10 we find the following account. Allow me to say that many of the church and religious world of today say the same-things that the Jews of Jesus' day spoke of Him! Note this, all the while these things are taking place in the temple there could be a young attorney and Pharisee present, listening to the conversations, name Saul of Tarsus, just a thought.

John 7:10-13 "But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, "Where is he?" And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, "He is a good man:" others said, "Nay; but he deceiveth the people." Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews." (KJV)

John 7:10-13 "But after his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly but in private. The Jews were looking for him at the feast, and saying, "Where is he?" And there was much muttering about him among the people. While some said, "He is a good man," others said, "No, he is leading the people astray." Yet for fear of the Jews no one spoke openly of him." (ESV)

John 7:10-13 Then after they were gone he went there unnoticed and kept a low profile. The Jews were looking for him; constantly on guard and inquiring about him and his whereabouts. Jesus was the topic of conversation among the people - everyone had an opinion about him. Some said that  he was a good man - others thought him to be deceiving the crowds with trickery. This was all hush-hush since no-one was prepared to openly oppose Jewish-sentiment.."

John 7:14-18 "Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. And the Jews marvelled, saying, "How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?" Jesus answered them, and said, 'My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.'" (KJV)

John 7:14-18 "About the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and began teaching. The Jews therefore marveled, saying, "How is it that this man has learning, when he has never studied?" So Jesus answered them, 'My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me. If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood.'" (ESV)

John 7:14-18 "Then Jesus surprised them all by showing up midway through the eight-day feast, teaching openly in their temple. What amazed the Jews most was his indepth knowledge of Scriptures while he never attended any of their schools. To which Jesus replied, 'My teaching is not the product of my own invention or human perception but of my Divine connection - my mission explains my Sender's purpose. Anyone who has a desire to engage with GOD's heart dream will know without a doubt that which I teach is [1]sourced in GOD and not merely [2]my own ideas. (The preposition [1]ek always points to the source or origin; whereas the preposition [2]apo points away from - both are translated "from" in English. Look at 2Corinthians 3:18 and Romans 1:17, see also the use of para in verse 29; which is also translated "from.") He who communicates "[1]away from" his true self pursues his own [2]fame based upon popular opinion - but the one seeking the glory of his Sender [Source] finds truth unveiled in their individual I-am-ness and their true righteousness. In this person there is no trace of [3]disharmony!'" (Again the preposition [1]apo is used. The word [2]doxa means glory or opinion, here translated fame. The word [3]adikia refers to the system of unrighteousness; which is a system based upon self-righteousness according to personal pursuit and performance as opposed to the righteousness of our redeemed design. The two components of this word are, a, negative and dike meaning two parties finding likeness in each other; This is the stem word for righteousness, dikaiosune.) (Strong's NT, G1343) (The Mirror)

John 7:19-24 (Jesus is still speaking) "'Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?' The people answered and said, "Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?" Jesus answered and said unto them, 'I have done one work, and ye all marvel. Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.'" (KJV)

John 7:19-24 (Jesus is still speaking) "'Has not Moses given you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law. Why do you seek to kill me?' The crowd answered, "You have a demon! Who is seeking to kill you?" Jesus answered them, 'I did one work, and you all marvel at it. Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. If on the Sabbath a man receives circumcision, so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because on the Sabbath I made a man's whole body well? Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.'" (ESV)

John 7:19-24 "'Did not Moses give you the Law whereby you could measure your performance, yet not one of you get it right! I mean what about the "Thou shalt not kill" - part? And here you are devising ways on how you can murder me!' The people responded with, "You talk like a madman! No one's trying to kill you! You sound like someone with a demon - connection rather than a divine one!" Jesus answered them, 'I represent one single poetic expression of the sum total of GOD's work - compared to the multitude of rules Moses left you with! And you are astounded at that! (And still you want to confuse and compare me with Moses! Look back at chapter 6:28-31.) Lets take one of those rules: Moses represents circumcision as the tradition of the fathers and you are okay with performing the cut on the Sabbath; now in order not to disappoint Moses you have made your circumcision rule superior to the Sabbath; when a boy is eight days old you have no problem with performing circumcision even when it coincides with the Sabbath and here I am making a man's entire body well on the Sabbath and you're ready to kill me and break another one of the ten commandments! (Look at Genesis 17:12, "He that is eight days old among you you shall be circumcised.") Do not cloud righteous judgment with your own biased opinions and traditions.'" (The Mirror)

In our next section we will look into the divisions concerning Christ, the LORD willing.
