"The Secrets of GOD," as revealed by John in the Revealtion of Christ, chapter 18:21, with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

We shall close this chapter that records the "Fall of Babylon."

The Fall of Babylon

Revelation 18:21-24 "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, "Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; And the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth." (KJV)

Revelation 18:21-24 "Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "So will Babylon the great city be thrown down with violence, and will be found no more; And the sound of harpists and musicians, of flute players and trumpeters, will be heard in you no more, and a craftsman of any craft will be found in you no more, and the sound of the mill will be heard in you no more, and the light of a lamp will shine in you no more, and the voice of bridegroom and bride will be heard in you no more, for your merchants were the great ones of the earth, and all nations were deceived by your sorcery. And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on earth." (ESV)

Revelation 18:21-24 "And a huge Shepherd-Messenger lifted a stone like a massive millstone and cast it into the sea, saying, "So shall Babylon the great city be hurled into the ocean and not a single trace of her existence shall ever be found again. (Matthew 18:6, 'But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.') Never again will the festive sounds of harpists, singers, flutists and trumpeters be heard in you. Not even a trace of any art or creative skills and crafts will remain to remind of days gone by! The familiar grinding sound of the millstone will be silent forever. Not even a hint of a candlelight or any lamp will ever bear testimony to your forgotten night-life again. The voice of the bridegroom and bride will forever be silent in you. Her merchants were the great untouchable tycoons of the world who seduced all the nations with her pharmaceutical potions and spells. The blood of the Prophets and the Saints and every one [1] slaughtered in the scapegoat-sacrificial system of the world order were evidenced in her." (The word, [1, G4969] sphazo is the verb, slaughtered used of the slain Lamb.) (The Mirror, with editing.)

This brings chapter 18 to its close. Until our next visit may the LORD of ALL increase our understanding and knowing of Him.

I might here say this, The words and teaching of this chapter stand out as a reflection on the world and especial here in America these days. When it all comes down to this: Come out of her, My people - These words appear to be taken from Isa. 48:20; Jer. 1:8, 51:6, 45. The poet Mantuanus expresses this thought well: - "Vivere qui sancte cupitis, discelite; Romae
Omnia quum liceant, non licet esse bonum. “Ye who desire to live a godly life, depart; for, although all things are lawful at Rome, yet to be godly is unlawful." Meaning to me that we are to acquire a renewed mind or as it has been put by others; Acquire the Mind of Christ! I will say it with this quote from Paul as he stated it in: Romans 12:1-2, as written in the KJV, with my editing; "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to GOD, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of GOD!"
