Colossians Study Outline

Jesus Christ the Creator God, the Visible Manifeastation of the Invisible Godhead.

Paul's warning to those with limited sight or vision.

How does the Father speak to us? He does so through His Son, the anointing that is within us (1John 2:24-29) is the Son speaking within us, in what is known as illumination or revelation (*revealed), as Spirit speaks to spirit. Look at 1Corinthians 2:4, 10-14 where we find this: 4-5 first, “My speech and my preaching is not with enticing (persuasive, flattering contrivance**) words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God....God has revealed them (His Revelation) to us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teachs, but which the Holy Ghost teachs; comparing spiritual things with Spiritual. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know (understand or discern) them, because they are spiritually discerned (judged).”
**This is also the enmity placed between Satan and woman because all who remain born of man and woman have this enmity the sin nature between man and God (this we will find in Colossians 2:15). This is why when we speak using only the earthy words of the flesh there is no spiritual life in them, they remain the Letter of the Law which only had one job / assignment of condemnation and death through that condemnation. Israel as a nation chose to remain earthy, carnal, worldly, through externality, of the flesh and the worlds lusts in literalism of His words. Which are earthy in sin and under the tutor of the Law of Moses to this very day. Because of this many who choose to do as Israel has done will not receive the spiritual re-birthing required of them. This is the other side of the coin, hiden from veiw and understanding.

Romans 1:16a
"For I am not ashamed of the (this) gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;…"

1Corinthians 1:18
"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved (Redeemed by believing) it is the power of God (unto salvation)."

Romans 10:9-10a
"That if thou shalt confess with the mouth the LORD Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (redeemed, as this comes first). For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness…." (becomes right with God, we have peace and rest (Genesis 2:2-4, in God in His Salvation)
The Peace that all the worldly ones say to pray for because they lack spiritual understanding. The world is constantly trying to stay just like they did in Paul’s day. "That’s not enough. You’ve also got to do this or that." Paul’s Gospel says, "Christ did it all!" It’s done, it’s complete and consummated, and we dare not try to add to it. Remember Colossians 2:8, tells us that if you add to it, then you cancel it! This is what mans tradition does (look at what Jesus said in Mark 7:8-9, 13). But that’s what so many dothey add to it by their religious holidays be it Halloween, Christmas, Easter or any one of the other pagan holydays, renamed to mask what god is being worshiped. Mans traditions nullify the power of the Word. Why and how? By there superseding God's own Will revealed in His words. Ok, back to Colossians 2 verses 11 and 13, which now should make a little more sense.

Colossians 2:11
"In whom (in Christ by virtue of our believing this Gospel and we’ve been placed in Christ by the Holy Spirit, which you’ll to see in verse 12) also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands (it is spiritual. The cutting off of our old Adam-Satan nature or the shell which covers the seed of mans spirit. That which defeats us every time we turn around, or so it may seem while we remain in Redemptions school. But he’s been taken away so far as his influence) in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:"
This is what the Lord Himself said in John chapter 12 verse 24.

John 12:24-26
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow (imiate, the first letter “A in the Alpha” union conjoined to) me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.”
How plan can I make it? Then to verse 13.

Colossians 2:13

"And you, being dead in your sins (absolutely, we were as under the control of the old sin nature, our spirit as a seed covered by it's shell was completely out of fellowship and communion with God and so that’s what Paul says we were in the world. We were dead in sin) and the uncircumcision of your flesh (by virtue of being Gentiles, it should be noted that Israel was and is in the same condition as the circumcision of mans flesh did them no good) but hath he (God) quickened (has regenerated our spirit. He has crucified old Adam-Satan nature of death in sin and has given us a new nature. A divine God-child nature) together with him (Christ Jesus), having (already) forgiven you all trespasses."
The “already forgiven us all trespasses” also hold true for Israel but because of sin and the hardness of the crust of the shell that seed is a hard nut to scratch or crack. Let’s look at Colossians chapter 3 verse 13. And again, Paul repeats this twice in two chapters to drive it home. And oh, most of Christendom has a hard time swallowing this, I know they do. But here it is again.

Colossians 3:13
"Forbearing one another, (remember, he’s writing to believers congregated in an assembly) and forgiving one another, if any may have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."
This is to be done wherever two or more are gathered together. Even if the one described here is not among the ones gathered, though it is better done when all are in company as a gathering or an assembly. This is so practical as a norm for all in God's salvation.

Look at this verse very carefully. Is there any demand in this verse that you forgive your enemy before you can be saved? NO! That’s already done by the Grace of God. You’re forgiven, Redeemed. But now since we are forgiven, what should we be ready to do? Forgive whoever we have ought against, whether it’s in the Church, neighborhood or whatever. There is nothing stipulated in Paul’s Gospel, nor his writings that first we have to forgive everybody before we can be forgiven like the Lord Jesus said during His earthly ministry under Law. For example, The Lord’s Prayer isn’t appropriate for us today. The Lord’s Prayer was under the Levitical Law. It was to and for Israel only. And it says "forgive us our trespasses (when?) as we forgive those who trespass against us." Now that’s the Levitical Law. And absolutely a Hebrew could not be forgiven until he went and forgave his neighbor. But that doesn’t hold true today. We’re forgiven by the Grace of God, through the Blood* in which Redemption is received. And if we’re forgiven, then why in the world can’t we forgive our neighbor? That’s our teaching. So twice in two chapters he says we have been forgiven of all our trespasses and all our sins, this is the work of Redemption and it is compleat, as being consummated. Now let’s go back to Ephesians chapter 2 verse 1. *Remember that I said “through the Blood” means our death in His flesh on the tree or Roman cross. But here is the voidance of it, mans traditions be what ever form they may be.
