The Secret and Mysteries of GOD revisited, part 13b x6 continued

Continued with the preeminence of Christ because of what we saw in His preexistence.

Christ's Preeminence,

Matthew 3:10, 11-12 (John the baptist is speaking) "Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
'I baptize you with water for repentance, but HE Who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will clear His threshing floor and gather His wheat into the barn, but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire."

John 3:31-36 with 13:13 and Acts 2:36 (John the baptist is speaking) "He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all. He bears witness to what He has seen and heard, yet no one receives His testimony. Whoever receives His testimony sets (6:27; Romans 4:11) His seal to this, that GOD is true. For He Whom God has sent utters the words of God (Deuteronomy 18:18-20), for He gives Him the Spirit without measure. The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains in him."

John 13:12-20 "After Jesus had washed their feet and put on His outer garments and resumed His place, He said to them, 'Do you understand what I have done to you? You call Me Teacher and LORD, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, am your LORD and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, 'He who ate My bread has lifted his heel against Me.' (Psalm 41:9) I am telling you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may believe that I am He. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives the one who sent Me.'"

Acts 2:29-36 (Peter is speaking) "Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the (Messiah) Christ, that He was not abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. (Psalm 16:8-11) This Jesus GOD raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. Being therefore exalted at the right hand of GOD, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, "'The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool."' (Psalm 110:1) Let all the house of Israel (Ezekiel 36:22, 32, 37; 45:6) therefore know for certain that GOD has made Him both LORD and (Messiah) Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified."

Romans 14:5-9 "One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. For to this end (Messiah) Christ died and lives again, that He might be LORD both of the dead and of the living."

Colossians 1:15-20 "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent. For in Him all the fullness of GOD is pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross."

Hebrews 1:1-4 "Long ago, at many times and in many ways, GOD spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days HE has spoken to us by His Son, Whom HE appointed the heir of all things (Psalm 2), through Whom also HE created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of GOD and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name (of Christ) He has inherited is more excellent than theirs."

Hebrews 3:1-6; 8:6 "Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession, who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, just as Moses also was faithful in all God's (temple, family) house. For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. (For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is GOD.) Now Moses was faithful in all GOD's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, but Christ is faithful over GOD's house as a son. And we are His house if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope."

Hebrews 8:1-6 "Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, a minister in the holy places, in the true tent that the LORD set up, not man. For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; thus it is necessary for this priest also to have something to offer. Now if He were on earth, He would not be a priest at all, since there are priests who offer gifts according to the Law. They serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things. For when Moses was about to erect the tent, he was instructed by God, saying, 'See that you make everything according to the pattern that was shown you on the mountain.' But as it is, (Messiah) Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant He mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises."

Revelation 1:8, 9-11  "'I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the LORD God, Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty.'
I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet saying, 'Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.'"
