The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 19.5 the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

We are about to hear of the Lord's burial which is our burial, as co-members of His flesh and body make-up. For all of humanity shares this one thing the DNA of our flesh-man the outer shell or outside of our being, around which the blood and life in the blood flows if our skins underside is operating properly, that is. But Jesus is not at all at rest for He is well on the way carrying the worlds judgment to mans hell while the body hangs of the tree as a cursed thing, according to Scripture now fulfilled. (Deuteronomy 21:22-23; 2Corinthians 5:21, Galatians 3:13) But keep this in mind Jesus was an innocence man of our own humanity make up, as seen in Genesis 2 and more importantly Genesis 1:26-27. This is overlooked by the worlds religions and others, Jesus now in mans hell. These things we are soon to see were in operation within the very next chapter, but more on that later. Look at Hosea 6:2-3; Matthew 27:51-54 and think upon what is stated (here's a clue, descended) and revealed here.

John 19:38-42 "And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand." (KJV)

John 19:38-42 After these things Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away his body. Nicodemus also, who earlier had come to Jesus by night, came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds in weight. So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there." (ESV)

John 19:38-42 "Then Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate permission to remove the body of Jesus which Pilate was pleased to do. Joseph was a prominent leader, and  secret follower of Jesus, (but here, while most of his close friends and followers forsook him, Joseph fearlessly offers to bury Jesus in his own rockhewn tomb! Look at Matthews account in 27:60. He was a rich man and a counsellor of the great Sanhedrin in Luke 23:50. Mark emphasizes the boldness of this act in Mark 15:43) also Nicodemus, who was the one who approached Jesus in the shelter of the night in order not to be public associated with him, made a very bold announcement of his love for jesus and brought expensive sweet-smelling spices; a mixture of myrrh and aloes which weighed about a hundred pounds. Then Joseph and Nicodemus took Jesus' body and prepared it for burial. And according to Jewish custom they wrapped the body in linen cloths together with the spices. In the area where he was crucified was a garden with a new tomb which was never used before. Since it was still during their preparation for the Sabbath the location of the tomb where Joseph and Nicodemus placed Jesus was conveniently close. (The Hebrews reckoned two evenings, an earlier and a later. The former began midway between noon and sunset, or at three o'clock in the afternoon. The latter began at sunset, six o'clock. The reference here is to the earlier evening, though the time may have been well on toward the beginning of the later. The preparation had to be hurried because of the Sabbath which would begin at sunset.)

We shall, the LORD willing, move on to chapter 20 in our next meeting.
