The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 20 the renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

We are about to embark on the greatest victory this world has ever known and it was all done without a shot or arrow fired in anger over some line drawn in the sand between kingdoms, nations, governments, of other selfishness on man. But at the same time it included all of these as GOD judged the world systems and found them lacking substance and use, as He said that these systems died with their use and that they were all rotten to their core being made of old filthy rags. As those used during a woman's menstruation cycle. This being what was laid upon the flesh of Jesus as hung on Him before He hung on the cross. To begin this look at chapter 20 of John's synoptic gospel, I will pull from Matthews account of chapter 27 and verses 51 through 54 first, after Hosea statement in 6:2-3.

Hosea 6:1-3 "Come, let us return to the LORD; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him. Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains (of His grace and truth) that water the earth." (ESV)

Matthew 27:51-54 of 50-56 "Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit. And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom; And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!" There were also many women there, looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him, among whom were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Joseph and the mother of the sons of Zebedee." (ESV)

John 20:1-10 "The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, "They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him." Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, and the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. Then the disciples went away again unto their own home." (KJV)

John 20:1-10 "Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him." So Peter went out with the other disciple, and they were going toward the tomb. Both of them were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. And stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying there, and the face cloth, which had been on Jesus' head, not lying with the linen cloths but folded up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead. Then the disciples went back to their homes." (ESV)

John 20:1-10 "The first day of the Sabbath, Maria and Magdala came to the tomb while it was still very early and saw that the stone was lifted out of the grave. She left the tomb at once and ran to find Simon Peter and the other disciple whom Jesus was so fond of, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the grave and we have no idea where they put him!" (Mary fears a grave robbery. She did not suspect his resurrection.) So Peter and the other disciple immediately went to the tomb. They were both running but the other brother out-ran Peter and arrived at the tomb first. He stooped down and observed with careful attention the strips of linen cloth lying there, yet he did not enter. (Seeing the grave cloths, he immediately knew that it wasn't a grave robbery!) Then Simon Peter also arrived and went straight into the tomb and took a long look at the grave cloths lying there. He also noticed that the cloth that was wrapped around the head of Jesus, was not lying with the other strips of linen cloth, but neatly rolled up separately. Then the other disciple who arrived there first also went in and he saw and was convinced! (According to Luke 24:12 Peter went away "wondering" still.) It was as if they could not fully grasp that this was indeed what was predicted in Scripture, that Jesus was [1] destined to rise up out of death. (Look at Psalm 16:10 "For you will not leave my soul in Sheol; you will not let your Holy One see corruption." Destined; must happen - [1] dei. Look at Mark 8:31; Matthew 26:54; Luke 9:22, 17:25, 22:37, 24:7, 26-27, 44-46; John 3:14, 12:34; Acts 1:16. Jesus emphasized the fact and the necessity of his resurrection which the disciples slowly perceived.) The disciples went away to [1] face their own thoughts." ([1] pros hautous - facing themselves.) (The Mirror)

The LORD willing we shall pick this back up next time.
