Continuing with Our Eternal link to GOD in Christ as exposed by Him, the I AM. Part 5i.10d part a

I am continuing my thought as it was spoken to just about a week ago now. This post will draw from Leviticus 19 and 20 for this purpose, and will show their relatively in the NT values for us who actually believe the Lord Jesus and His teachings and requests.

Leviticus 19:2 of 1 "The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 'Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them, you shall be holy (H6918): for I the LORD your God am holy. You shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God. Turn not to idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.'"

Leviticus 20:7-8 of 5-8 (The LORD is speaking) "'Then I will set My face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people. And the soul that turns after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set My face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. Sanctify (H6942) yourselves therefore, and be holy (H6918): for I am the LORD your God. And you shall keep My statutes (H2708), and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.'"

Now for the NT passages that accompany these passages. Which by the way many a religious person say they are not, that is to say "perfect" as this word is reflected within the OT passages shared first for this reason.

Leviticus 19:2; from this base we find the following NT passages associated with it:

Ephesians 1:4 of 3-14 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who have blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as They had chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: having predestined us to the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Themselves, according to the good pleasure of Their will, to the praise of the glory of Their grace, wherein They have made us accepted in the beloved. In (By) Whom we have redemption through Their blood, the forgiveness (blotting out) of sins, according to the riches of Their grace; Wherein They have abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known to us the mystery of Their will, according to Their good pleasure which They have purposed in Themselves: that in the dispensation of the fullness of times They might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; Even in Themselves: in Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predesignated according to the purpose of Them Who work all things after the counsel of Their own will: that we should be to the praise of Their glory, who first trusted in Christ. In Whom we also trust, after that we heard the word of truth, the gospel of your (redemption that brings about) salvation: in Whom also after that we believe, we are sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of Their glory."

Colossians 3:12 of 12-17 Put on therefore, as the elect of GOD, Holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do we. And above all these things put on charity (mercies of compassion), which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of GOD rule in your hearts, to the which also we are called in one body; And be thankful. Let the words of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; Teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the LORD. And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to GOD and the Father by Him."

1Thessalonians 5:23 of 23-24 "And the very GOD of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray GOD your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful are They that called you, Who also will do it."

1Peter 1:16 of 13-16 "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: but as They which have called you are Holy, so be Holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye Holy; for I am Holy."

In the next section, part b, we shall continue with Leviticus 20's passage and the NT links to it.
