Continuing with Our Eternal link to GOD in Christ as exposed by Him, the I AM. Part 5j.0.c

     With this section of our studies I will venture into on chartered grounds, this dealing with our acquiring a fragrance known to GOD and those who oppose Their revelation. This found in 2Corinthians 2 beginning at verse 14 through chapter 3 verse 3 which reads:

2Corinthians 2:14-15 of 12 through 3:3 "Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened for me of the Lord, I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia. Now thanks be to GOD, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savor of Their knowledge by us in every place. For we are to GOD a sweet savor of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: to the one we are the savor of death unto death; And to the other the savor of life unto newness of life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of GOD: but as of sincerity, for it is of GOD, in the sight of GOD speak we in Christ. Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you? We are our own epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: inasmuch as we are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, in us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living GOD; Not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart." 

Now for our look into what maybe hidden from view in this passage, and then what other related passages may reveal. Do not get me wrong there is indeed plenty of words that warrant our investigation here but we are some what limited as many to do take the time or effort to stay with much reading, as they have been programed by religion to ignore things. Like Paul's teachings to name but one of many.

Thanks be to GOD (G2316), which always causes us to triumph (G2358, G3842, G2248) in Christ, and makes manifest (G5319) the savor (G3744) of Their knowledge (G1108) by us in every place. For we are to GOD a sweet savor (G2172) of Christ, in them that are saved (G4982), and in them that perish (G622): to the one we are the savor (G3744) of death (G2288) unto death (G2288); And to the other the savor of life (G2222) unto newness (G1519, G2538) of life. And who is sufficient (G2425) for these things?

So beginning with G2316 from the Strong's: theos  theh'-os  Of uncertain affinity; A deity, especially (with G3588 [ho  hē  to  ho, hay, to The masculine, feminine (second) and neuter (third) forms, in all their inflections; the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom): - the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.]) the supreme Divinity (They, Them, Their, Our, of Genesis 1:26-28, the origin of image and likeness); figuratively a magistrate; by Hebraism very: - X exceeding, GOD, God, god [-ly, -ward].

Triumph, G2358: thriambeuō  three-am-byoo'-o  From a prolonged compound of the base of G2360 [throeō  thro-eh'-o  From θρέομαι threomai (to wail); to clamor, that is, (by implication) to frighten: - trouble.] and a derivative of G680 [haptomai  hap'-tom-ahee
Reflexive of G681 {haptō  hap'-to  A primary verb; properly to fasten to, that is, (specifically) to set on fire: - kindle, light.  }; properly to attach oneself to (to accept the yoke of Mat. 11:29, the yoke of Elohiym of Gen. 1:26-28), that is, to touch (in many implied relations): - touch.] (meaning a noisy iambus, sung in honor of Bacchus); to make an acclamatory procession, that is, (figuratively) to conquer or (by Hebraism) to give victory: - (cause) to triumph (over). 

Always, G3842: pantote  pan'-tot-eh  From G3956 [pas  pas  Including all the forms of declension; apparently a primary word; all, any, every, the whole: - all (manner of, means) alway (-s), any (one), X daily, + ever, every (one, way), as many as, + no (-thing), X throughly, whatsoever, whole, whosoever.] and G3753 [hote  ho te  hē te  tō te hot'-eh, ho,t'-eh, hay'-the, tot'-eh  From G3739 and G5037; at which (thing) too, that is, when: - after (that), as soon as, that, when, while.
Second form also feminine, third form also neuter and fourth form simply the article G3588 followed by G5037; so written (in some editions) to distinguish them from G3752 and G5119.]; every when, that is, at all times: - always (-s), ever (-more).

Us, G2248: hēmas  hay-mas'  Accusative plural of G1473 [egō  eg-o'  A primary pronoun of the first person, “I” (only expressed when emphatic): - I, me. For the other cases and the plural see G1691, G1698, G1700, G2248, G2249, G2254, G2257, etc.]; us: - our, us, we.

Manifest, G5319: phaneroō  fan-er-o'-o  From G5318 [phaneros  fan-er-os'  From G5316 {phainō  fah'ee-no  Prolongation for the base of G5457; to lighten (shine), that is, show (transitive or intransitive, literal or figurative): - appear, seem, be seen, shine, X think.}; shining, that is, apparent (literally or figuratively); neuter (as adverb) publicly, externally: - abroad, + appear, known, manifest, open [+ -ly], outward ([+ -ly]).]; to render apparent (literally or figuratively): - appear, manifestly declare, (make) manifest (forth), shew (self).

Savor, G3744: osmē  os-may'  From G3605 [ozō  od'-zo  A primary verb (in a strengthened form); to scent (usually an ill “oder”): - stink.]; fragrance (literally or figuratively): - odour, savour.

Knowledge, G1108: gnōsis  gno'-sis  From G1097 [ginōskō  ghin-oce'-ko  A prolonged form of a primary verb; to “know” (absolutely), in a great variety of applications and with many implications (as shown at left, with others not thus clearly expressed): - allow, be aware (of), feel, (have) known (-ledge), perceive, be resolved, can speak, be sure, understand.]; a knowing (the act), that is, (by implication) knowledge: - knowledge, science.

Sweet Savor, G2175: euōdia  yoo-o-dee'-ah  From a compound of G2095 [eu  yoo  Neuter of a primary word εὖς eus (good); (adverbially) well: - good, well (done).] and a derivative of G3605 [ozō  od'-zo  A primary verb (in a strengthened form); to scent (usually an ill “oder”): - stink.]; goodly scented, that is, fragrance: - sweet savour (smell, -smelling). 

Are Saved, G4982: sōzō  sode'-zo  From a primary word σῶς sōs̄ (contraction for the obsolete σάος saos, “safe”); to save, redeem G3084, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): - heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole. 

Perish, G622: apollumi  ap-ol'-loo-mee  From G575 [apo  apo'  A primary particle; “off”, that is, away (from something near), in various senses (of place, time, or relation; literally or figuratively): - (X here-) after, ago, at, because of, before, by (the space of), for (-th), from, in, (out) of, off, (up-) on (-ce), since, with. In composition (as a prefix) it usually denotes separation, departure, cessation, completion, reversal, etc.] and the base of G3639 [olethros  ol'-eth-ros  From ὄλλυμι ollumi a primary word (to destroy; a prolonged form); ruin, that is, death, punishment: - destruction.  ]; to destroy fully (reflexively to perish, or lose), literally or figuratively: - destroy, die, lose, mar, perish.

Death, G2288: thanatos  than'-at-os  From G2348 [thnēskō  thnay'-sko  A strengthened form of a simpler primary word θάνω thanō (which is used for it only in certain tenses); to die (literally or figuratively): - be dead, die.]; (properly an adjective used as a noun) death (literally or figuratively): - X deadly, (be . . .) death. 

The Savor of Life, G2222: zōē  dzo-ay'  From G2198 [zaō  dzah'-o  A primary verb; to live (literally or figuratively): - life (-time), (a-) live (-ly), quick, to quicken.]; life (literally or figuratively): - life (-time). Compare G5590 [psuchē  psoo-khay'  From G5594 [psuchō  psoo'-kho  A primary verb; to breathe (voluntarily but gently; thus differing on the one hand from G4154, which denotes properly a forcible respiration; and on the other from the base of G109, which refers properly to an inanimate breeze), that is, (by implication of reduction of temperature by evaporation) to chill (figuratively): - wax cold.]; breath, that is, (by implication) spirit, abstractly or concretely (the animal sentient principle only; thus distinguished on the one hand from G4151, which is the rational and immortal soul; and on the other from G2222, which is mere vitality, even of plants: these terms thus exactly correspond respectively to the Hebrew [H5315], [H7307] and [H2416]: - heart (+ -ily), life, mind, soul, + us, + you.]. 

Unto, G1519: eis ice  A primary preposition; to or into (indicating the point reached or entered), of place, time, or (figuratively) purpose (result, etc.); also in adverbial phrases.: - [abundant-] ly, against, among, as, at, [back-] ward, before, by, concerning, + continual, + far more exceeding, for [intent, purpose], fore, + forth, in (among, at unto, -so much that, -to), to the intent that, + of one mind, + never, of, (up-) on, + perish, + set at one again, (so) that, therefore (-unto), throughout, till, to (be, the end, -ward), (here-) until (-to), . . . ward, [where-] fore, with. Often used in composition with the same general import, but only with verbs (etc.) expressing motion (literally or figuratively. 

Newness of Life, G2538: kainotēs  kahee-not'-ace  From G2537 [kainos  kahee-nos'
Of uncertain affinity; new {make (G2936, ktizō  ktid'-zo  Probably akin to G2932 {ktaomai  ktah'-om-ahee  A primary verb; to get, that is, acquire (by any means; own): - obtain, possess, provide, purchase.}(through the idea of the proprietorship of the manufacturer); to fabricate, that is, found (form originally): - create, Creator, make. ) new} (especially in freshness; while G3501 is properly so with respect to age): - new.]; renewal (figuratively): - newness.

Sufficient, G2425: hikanos  hik-an-os'  From ἵκω hikō (ἱκάνω or ἱκνέομαι; akin to G2240; to arrive); competent (as if coming in season), that is, ample (in amount) or fit (in character): - able, + content, enough, good, great, large, long (while), many, meet, much, security, sore, sufficient, worthy. 

In our next visit we shall, the LORD willing, look into related passages of verses 14 and 15.
