Continuing with Our Eternal link to GOD in Christ as exposed by Him, the I AM. Part 5i.10d part c

We are looking into the Holiness that we have been called into long ago in Leviticus 19 and 20, this time we are drawing from what Peter wrote in 2Peter 1 verses 1 though 11 with attention given to verses 2 and 3.

2Peter 1:2-3 of 1-11 "Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of GOD and our Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and Peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of GOD, and of Jesus our LORD; (Confirming Our Calling and Election) According as Their divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Them that have called us to glory and virtue: whereby They have given us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these we might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption (unbelief) that is in the world through lust (the false doctrines fostered by man's religion). And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; And to temperance patience; And to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; And to brotherly kindness charity (mercies compassion's). For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For they that lack these things are blind (blinded by religions scams, that is to say the beam in ones perceptions), and cannot see afar off, and having forgotten that they were purged from their old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give all diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if we do these things, we shall never fall: for so an entrance has been ministered for you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ."

Now for the word study which is of course very interesting to say the least. But fear not I will try to make it brief by only drawing from our targeted passages. With the words like: multiplied (G4129), divine (G2304), power (G1411), godliness (G2150), given (G1433), knowledge (G1922), glory (G1391) and virtue (G703).

Multiplies G 4129: plēthunō  play-thoo'-no  From another form of G4128 [plēthos  play'-thos  From G4130 {plēthō  play'-tho, pleh'-o,  A prolonged form of a primary word πλέω pleō (which appears only as an alternate in certain tenses and in the reduplicated form of πίμπλημι pimplēmi to “fill” (literally or figuratively [imbue, influence, supply]); specifically to fulfill (time): - accomplish, full (. . . come), furnish.}; a fullness, that is, a large number, throng, populace: - bundle, company, multitude.]; to increase (transitively or intransitively): - abound, multiply.

Godliness G 2150: eusebeia  yoo-seb'-i-ah  From G2152 [eusebēs  yoo-seb-ace'  From G2095 [eu  yoo
Neuter of a primary word εὖς eus (good); (adverbially) well: - good, well (done).] and G4576 [sebomai
seb'-om-ahee  Middle voice of an apparently primary verb; to revere, that is, adore: - devout, worship.]; well reverent, that is, pious: - devout, godly.]; piety; specifically the gospel scheme: - godliness, holiness.

Given G 1433: dōreomai  do-reh'-om-ahee  Middle voice from G1435 [dōron   do'-ron  A present; specifically a sacrifice: - gift, offering.]; to bestow gratuitously: - give.

Knowledge G 1922: epignōsis  ip-ig'-no-sis  From G1921 [epiginōskō  ep-ig-in-oce'-ko  From G1909 [epi   ep-ee'  A primary preposition properly meaning superimposition (of time, place, order, etc.), as a relation of distribution [with the genitive case], that is, over, upon, etc.; of rest (with the dative case) at, on, etc.; of direction (with the accusative case) towards, upon, etc.: - about (the times), above, after, against, among, as long as (touching), at, beside, X have charge of, (be-, [where-]) fore, in (a place, as much as, the time of, -to), (because) of, (up-) on (behalf of) over, (by, for) the space of, through (-out), (un-) to (-ward), with. In compounds it retains essentially the same import, at, upon, etc. (literally or figuratively).] and G1097 [ginōskō  ghin-oce'-ko  A prolonged form of a primary verb; to “know” (absolutely), in a great variety of applications and with many implications (as shown at left, with others not thus clearly expressed): - allow, be aware (of), feel, (have) known (-ledge), perceive, be resolved, can speak, be sure, understand.]; to know upon some mark, that is, recognise; by implication to become fully acquainted with, to acknowledge: - (ac-, have, take) know (-ledge, well), perceive.]; recognition, that is, (by implication) full discernment, acknowledgement: - (ac-) knowledge (-ing, -ment).

Glory G 1391: doxa  dox'-ah  From the base of G1380 [dokeō  dok-eh'-o  A prolonged form of a primary verb δόκω dokō (used only as an alternate in certain tenses; compare the base of G1166); of the same meaning; to think (reason); by implication to seem (truthfully or uncertainly): - be accounted, (of own) please (-ure), be of reputation, seem (good), suppose, think, trow.]; glory (as very apparent), in a wide application (literally or figuratively, objectively or subjectively): - dignity, glory (-ious), honor, praise, worship.

Virtue G 703: aretē  ar-et'-ay  From the same as G730 [arrhēn  arsēn  ar'-hrane, ar'-sane  Probably from G142 [airō  ah'ee-ro  A primary verb; to lift; by implication to take up or away; figuratively to raise (the voice), keep in suspense (the mind); specifically to sail away (that is, weigh anchor); by Hebraism (compare [H5375]) to expiate sin: - away with, bear (up), carry, lift up, loose, make to doubt, put away, remove, take (away, up).]; male (as stronger for lifting): - male, man.]; properly manliness (valor), that is, excellence (intrinsic or attributed): - praise, virtue.

Remember that we are looking into our acquiring the "yoke" in the name Elohiym, which Jesus also spoke of throughout His ministry as a mystery and in Matthew 11:29. And the 'Be Holy as I am Holy' of Leviticus 19 and 20 of 10d's parts a and b. We are examining how it is that all of these parts play into the full picture that GOD wants us to see.
