We are looking into the passion or as most Bible translations have it, the wrath of GOD, here in chapter 16, so without a do, I will get right into the text and let it speak for itself.
Revelation 16:4-7, 8-9 "And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the waters say, "Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy." And I heard another out of the altar say, "Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments." And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory." (KJV)
Revelation 16:4-7, 8-9 "The third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood. And I heard the angel in charge of the waters say, "Just are you, O Holy One, who is and who was, for you brought these judgments. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. It is what they deserve!" And I heard the altar saying, "Yes, Lord God the Almighty, true and just are your judgments!"
The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory." (ESV)
Revelation 16:4-7, 8-9 "And the third did the same to the rivers and fountains which all became like blood. (Every single water source will give testimony to the covenant sealed in the blood of the Lamb.) Then I heard the Shepherd-Messenger who interprets the message in the water say, "Righteous are You in the conclusion of Your judgment. Your I-am-ness defines time - present, past, and future." (There is nothing in prophetic time, past, present or future that distracts from GOD'S supreme purpose and ultimate conclusion of redemption - no trace of any definition of Santanas, sin-consciousness or accusations will ever interfere with the sweet bliss of eternal companionship to be celebrated in the romance of the ages.) Since they are the ones who poured out the blood of the Saints and the Prophets You gave them blood to drink as their [1] due. (The word [1, G514 from G71 agō, to induce] axios - having the weight of another thing of like value - the message of the blood! The blood of Jesus speaks of better things Heb. 12:24. See the extended notes commentary on the Blood at the end of the book.) And I heard the Altar speak again, in the same language of the song of Moses and the Lamb, "Oh LORD GOD You certainly hold sway over all things! Righteousness and Truth are Your trademarks in every detail of judgment!" (Oh LORD GOD, the Almighty - kurie ho theos ho pantokrator. Just as in Rom. 15:3 in the Song of Moses and the Lamb, see Deu. 32:4, "A Scribe greatness to our GOD the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are just. A GOD of faithfulness and without injustice; Righteous and Truth is He. In GOD'S act of righteousness in which the human race was acquitted and justified, GOD spoke the language of the highest courts of Justice, having had no-one greater to swear by, he swore by Himself, thus, making it impossible for His resolve not to be fulfilled, thereby ending all possible grounds for dispute! See Hebrews 6:13-19.)
And the fourth Shepherd-Messenger poured out his golden fire-pan upon the sun giving it authority to scorch humanity with its heat as in a fiery furnace. And humanity's minds were fried in the heat of their own "natural" light ( the sun, is symbolic of how their stubborn mindsets of their own making are placed in the furnace to remove the dross from the gold!). They, just like in Pharaoh's day, continued to blaspheme the name of GOD Who has the authority over these plagues. They did not show any change of hearth towards GOD to acknowledge His thoughts about them as unveiled in Christ." (The Mirror, with editing.)
