Divine Spiritual Richness (Individual call to Consecration)

I have looked into our walking in agreement and the subduing of our flesh, under the led of the LORD. Today I am looking into what is required for our "Victory" in Christ, after all that is also part of our promise as Sons of our family Patriarch and Father, GOD. The very One Who fills the universe of His Creation constantly with His presence. As HE fills our new lives by faith, in Godly Love, fear and Grace just as HE did the Lord Jesus and a host of others as the Bible witnesses when our spiritual eyes and ears have been opened to hear and see His secrets, other wise it remains just another book sitting on the table or in a bookshelf. Also when this takes place within our being we are given discernment and distinction in separation, to know the deference between the worldly renditions of what it believes the word of God is saying, which is a perversion of His Eternal Message. The earthy people focus on those misinterpretations as a child does his favorite toy, an athlete does his financial successes and a movie star his award of a Emmy, such things a health wealth and prosperity or name it and claim it kind of theology. But as we have seen so many times GOD resists the proud and those who place so much emphasis on material things as an action of rebellion. It all falls into the classification of idolatry, which is witchcraft and trusting in mans flesh above the LORD-GOD. Enough for my rant, today I am looking at the victory of Christ. But first Pastor Hoekstra and his teaching on Grace. And then making good use of the ESV translation, what is our victory.

"Pride and Shame or Humility and Wisdom"

"When pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble is wisdom . . . The wise shall inherit glory, but shame shall be the legacy of fools." (Proverbs 11:2 and 3:35)

"In order to live by the Grace of GOD, we must be willing to walk in humility, instead of in pride. "GOD resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (1Peter 5:5). We must be willing to acknowledge our daily, desperate need for GOD. This can be done through Romans 12:1-2. Any other approach to life is based upon pride (which is a foolish, inaccurate assumption that we are adequate to produce a life on our own). Those who walk in pride end up with shame. Those who walk in humility end up with wisdom. As I pointed out in my introduction above this takes many forms in the worldly churches and individual lives, even among the young redeemed people as they are still as unschooled children of the new birth, having just received the Holy Spirit. From which sadly many do not pass on to spiritual maturity as planned and purposed by GOD. This to I have revealed many times over the years of growing in the knowledge of Christ in our posting on this blog and my other one linked on the cover page @whmaynard.blogspot.com.

The scriptures describe those who foolishly walk in pride [with pride the teaching of materialism, such as health wealth and prosperity can be added, for even pride falls under idolatry] as well as declaring the shame that they experience. "When pride comes, then comes shame . . . shame shall be the legacy of fools." One example would be the wicked way that many privileged and powerful persecute the downtrodden and the vulnerable. They are demonstrating their pride. "The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised" (Psalm 10:2). Their shame is that they can become entangled in the very schemes that they have contrived. Another example is those who arrogantly oppose the people of GOD. "This they shall have for their pride, because they have reproached and made arrogant threats against the people of the LORD of hosts" (Zephaniah 2:10). Their shame was announced as a barrenness so severe as to be likened to the end of Sodom and Gomorrah.

" 'Therefore, as I live,' says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, 'Surely Moab shall be like Sodom, and the people of Ammon like Gomorrah — overrun with weeds and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation' " (Zephaniah 2:9).

In contrast to the shame that comes to the prideful, is the wisdom (and resulting glory, or honor) that comes to the humble. "With the humble is wisdom . . . The wise shall inherit glory [GOD]." Those who walk humbly before the LORD find the godly wisdom that is available in the LORD's infallible word. "The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple" (Psalm 19:7). This wisdom from GOD brings honor to the humble ones who live by it. "A man's pride will bring him low, but the humble in spirit will retain honor" (Proverbs 29:23). Again, this honor for the humble is in striking contrast to the wretched and ignoble ends that pride engenders."

The Victory,

The Presence of the Victorious Christ gives Assurance:

Isaiah 53:10-12 "Yet it was the Will [plan and purpose] of the LORD to crush Him; HE has put Him to grief; when His soul makes an offering for guilt, HE shall see His offspring; HE shall prolong His days; the Will of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. Out of the anguish of His soul He shall see and be satisfied; by His knowledge shall the Righteous One, My Servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the many, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet He bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors."

Matthew 12:15-24 "Jesus, aware [knowing] of this, withdrew from there. And many followed Him, and He healed them all and ordered them not to make Him known. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: (Isaiah 42:1-2) "Behold, My Servant Whom I have chosen, My beloved with Whom My soul is well pleased. I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He will proclaim justice to the Gentiles. He will not quarrel or cry aloud, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets; a bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not quench, until He brings justice to victory; and in His name the Gentiles [Nations] will hope."

John 16:29-33 "Jesus' disciples said, "Ah, now You are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech! Now we know that You know all things and do not need anyone to question You; this is why we believe that You came from GOD." Jesus answered them, "Do you now believe? Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave Me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with Me. I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."

1Corinthians 15:20-28 "In fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first-fruits, then at His coming those who belong to Christ. [a distinction being made between two claims] Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to GOD the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For "GOD has put all things in subjection under His feet." But when it says, "all things are put in subjection," it is plain that He is excepted Who put all things in subjection under Him. When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subjected to HIM Who put all things in subjection under Him, that GOD may be all in All." [the secret of Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning, "GOD"]

Revelation 3:14, 15-22 "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: 'The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of GOD's creation.
"'I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me. (Amos 3:3, two in agreement as One) The one who conquers [sets aside the desires of the flesh in all of it's many forms, including the worlds many religions], I will grant him to sit with Me on My throne, as I also conquered and sat down with My Father on HIS throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"

Revelation 6:1-2 "I [John] watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, "Come!" And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to Him, and HE came out conquering, and to conquer."

Revelation 17:8-14 "The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see this beast, because it was and is not and is to come. This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must remain only a little while. As for the beast that was and is not, it is an eighth but it belongs to the seven, and it goes to destruction. And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast. These are of one mind, and they hand over their power and authority to the beast. They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for HE is LORD of lords and King of kings, and those with Him are called and chosen and faithful."
