We are at verse 17 of Romans 16 and bring a close to Paul's Roman letter, where he gives some final instructions to those waiting for him as his dear friends with words of warning which we of today need to pay all due attention to ourselves. And so we shall soon see "obedience" and "innocent" mean more than we have been lead to believe, as we are the righteousness of GOD!
Romans 16:17-20 "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. For your obedience [G5218] is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple[G185] concerning evil. And the God of peace shall bruise Satan[G4563] under your feet shortly.

Romans 16:17-20 "Consistent with who you really are my Friends, be alert to avoid anything that causes disunion or offense, contrary to the teaching that you have become acquainted with from me. For there are those who are not addicted to our LORD Jesus Christ but, prompted rather by the hidden agenda of their own fleshly appetites, they use their clever manipulation of words and eloqent speech to deceive the emotionally unstable.Your [1, G5218] obedience (faith-focus) has become known everywhere. I am so happy for you; still, I desire for you to be wisely and exclusively acquainted with that which is good and [2, G185] innocent (unmixed) of evil. (Paul's mission was to bring about the obedience prompted by faith [Romans 1:5, 16:26]. The word, [1, G5218 from G5219 from G5259 and G191] hupakoē, hupoakouo, is translated as obedience or accurate [G191] akouō, hearing; and [2, G185] akeraios as in unmixed, innocent.) GOD Who is the author of our peace shall quickly and utterly trample [1, G4563]Satan, doing it with your own feet. Your victory is realized in the revelation of the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ, and echoed (Personalized) in your amen. (We are the body of Christ. GOD desires to demonstrate his reign of peace in us by confirming satan's defeat in our practical day to day experiences. The word, satanas, means accuser, The law of faith defeated the Law of works! And totally set it aside forever as the means of satan's accusing us as not able to measure up to its standards.)
