We just saw the supremacy of Christ, now we shall take in the heed or warning of not doing so, before we look into the earth being in subjection once again to man.
Hebrews 2:1-4 "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast[1], and every transgression[2] and disobedience[3] received[5] a just[4] recompense of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?" Hebrews 2:1-4 "I have said all this to help you realize the tremendous importance of this message to you is and heave heard, but have you received it? Become completely engaged in its meaning and thus you will never drift away from its influence and appeal. The words which GOD spoken through prophetic Messengers, were not to be taken lightly; considering the fact that many and various ways in which GOD spoke to our fathers, (1:1-3) did not compromise the initial intention and [1]resolve of GOD; neither did the prophetic announcement distract from the [2]ultimate conclusion of the word, [5]realized in the Son of GOD. (Note the words, [1, G949 from G939] bebaios, steadfast, is from (G939) baino, to stand, and [2, G3845 from G3844 and G3878] parabaino, transgress, and [3, G3878 and G191 ] parakoo, to mishear, are used here; (G3844) para, closest possible proximity and baino, footprint, to stand; and then also the word para combined with (G191) akoo, to hear, hearing from the original source. The word, [4, G1738 from G1722 and G1349 ] endike, in the right, is from (G1722) en, in, and (G1349) dike, judged equal, two parties finding likeness in each other; a scale perfectly balanced. The word, [5, G2983] lambano, to receive, to realize, to grasp, to associate with.) No one can afford to underestimate and be blas'e about this final message; a salvation of such magnificent proportions! There is no alternative [1]escape. Salvation as it is articulated in Christ, is the message that GOD spoke from the beginning, and it was confirmed again and again by those who (rightfully) heard him. (WE are [1] rescued from the lies that we believed about ourselves under the law of performance.) The purpose of GOD in every sign, and gift of the Holy Spirit was (not to distract, but rather) to complement and confirm this great message of salvation." (The Mirror)
