Our author of the Mirror Study Bible makes short works of both 1Peter and 2Peter so with this writing we'll close this study of the Peter's letters and then move on into 1John. With 1John, Francois de Toit, covers much of the first book but does nothing with the other two, instead he moves on into Revelation, which for now I do not wish to get into, that is unless prompted by the LORD. Now for the sure witness and the Prophetic word.

2Peter 1:16-18, 19-21"We are not con-artists, fabricating fictions and fables to add weight to our account of his majestic appearance; with our own eyes we witnessed the powerful display of the illuminate presence of Jesus the Master of the Christ-life. (His face shone like the sun, even his raiment was radiant white [Matthew 17].) He was spectacularly endorsed by GOD the Father in the highest honor and glory. GOD'S majestic voice announced, 'This is the Son of my delight; he completely pleases me.' For John, James, and I the prophetic word is fulfilled beyond doubt; we heard this voice loud and clear, as a trumpet sound is heard, from the heavenly realm while we were with Jesus in that sacred moment on the mountain.
For us the appearing of the Messiah is no longer a future promise but a fulfilled reality. Now it is your turn to have more than a second-hand, hearsay testimony. Take my word as one would take a lamp at night; the day is about to dawn within you, in your own understanding. When the Morning Star appears, you no longer need the lamp; this will happen shortly on the horizon within your own hearts. It is most important to understand that the prophetic word recorded in Scripture does not need our interpretation or opinion to make it valid. The holy men who first spoke these word of old did not invent these thoughts, they simply voiced GOD'S oracles as they were individually inspired by the Holy Spirit." (The Mirror, with editing)

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in 2Peter 1:12; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
Peter has been sharing our new way of life as Christ ones who have entered eternities unknown but know because we are in continual fellowship with our restored divine nature of faith, light, life, love and grace where grace is soon to also pass as change of garments change to glory, and glory once lost. Grace gets us through the pilgrimage walk as mere flesh and blood humans, our outer casing, made of the earths elements for that purpose but subject to emotions feelings hurts and sorrows as well as wrong perspectives of thought and reasoning gone astray. Until re-birthing takes hold then reasoning and thought came into the spiritual realm of light.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in 2Peter 1:1; from a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
Peter opens this up with a short introduction and then gets into the meat of his subject, so lets us see what inspiration he has to share with us. By keeping with the theme of our being one with our divine origin.
2Peter 1:1-2, 3-11 "Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained[1] like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The word, [1, G2973] lanchona, means to be measured out beforehand; to be allocated something by allotment (in our own fallen imaginations as being real, self imposed, as seen in Genesis 3). This emphasizes the fact that nothing we did or determined to achieve had any influence upon GOD to qualify us. Faith is not something we do to persuade GOD; faith is what happens to us when we realize how persuaded GOD is about us. Salvation belongs to everyone based on exactly the same merit. GOD'S righteousness persuades us. What GOD did right in Christ canceled out everything that Adam, or we did (imagined that was) wrong! Look at Romans 1:17, Herein lies the secret of the power of the Gospel; there is no good news in it until the righteousness of GOD is revealed (realized and accepted by us)! The dynamic of the gospel is the revelation of GOD'S faith as the only valid basis for our belief. The Prophets wrote in advance about this fact, that GOD believes that righteousness defines the life that he always had in mind for us. "Righteousness by his (GOD'S) faith defines life." The word, [2, G2473 from G2470 isos, equal and G5092 timē, value] isotimos, means to esteem of equal value.) GOD'S [1]desire is that we may now increasingly be overwhelmed with grace as his divine influence within us and become fully acquainted with the awareness of our [2]oneness. The way he has always [3]known us is realized in Jesus our Master. The verb [1, G4129] plethunthein, means to increase, to multiply, is in the Optative mood which expresses a wish (prayer). The word [2, G1515] eirene, means peace, is from (G ) eiro, to join, to be set at one again, in carpentry it is the strongest point, referred to as the dove-tail joint. The [3]knowledge of GOD is not our knowledge of him; it is GOD'S knowledge of us! He knew us before he formed us in our mother's womb! Jeremiah 1:5. In this context no one can ever feel ignored or neglected again.)
By his divine [1]engineering he gifted us with all that it takes to live life to the full, where our ordinary day to day lives mirror our [2]devotion and romance with our Master. His [3]intimate knowledge of us [4]introduces us to ourselves again and [5]elevates us to a position where his [6]original intention is clearly defined and perceived! (I have translated the word, [1, G1411 from G 1410] dunamis, meaning power or ability, as engineering, in this context. The word [2, G2152] eusebeia, means devotion or worship. The word, [3, G1922 from G1921] epignoseos , suggests an intimate knowledge; here it is in the Genitive case, which means GOD is the owner of this knowledge. Jeremiah 1:5 and 1Corinthians 13:12. The word, [4, G2564] kaleo, means to surname, I translated it, "he introduced us to ourselves again," which reminds us of Jesus declaring to Simon, son of Jog that the son of man is indeed the son of GOD, now celebrated in the Ekklesia, which literally means our original identity. Matthew 16:17-18. The word, [5, G703] arete is from (G730) aireo, and means to elevate, to lift one's perspectives; often translated, virtue. The word, [6, G1391] doxa, often translated, glory, is from (G1380) dokeo, meaning original intention, opinion.) This is exactly what GOD always had in mind for us; everyone of his abundant and priceless promises pointed to our restoration participation in our [1]godly origin! This is his gift to us! In this fellowship we have escaped the distorted influence of the corrupt cosmic virus of greed. ([1]His image and likeness has been redeemed in us. This is exactly what it means to exhibit the divine character. We are the choir conductor of our own life. Familiarize yourselves with every ingredient that faith unfolds! See there how [4]elevated you are, and from within this position (of your co-seatedness in Christ), [5]enlightened perspective will dawn within you. (The moment one forgets the tremendous consequence of the fact that we were cleansed from our past (exonerated fully) sin, one seems to become pre-occupied again with the immediate sense-ruled horizon, which is what short-sightedness is all about; this makes one blind to his blessings. Therefore I would encourage you my fellow family members, to make every immediate effort to become cemented in the knowledge of our [1]original identity [2]revealed and confirmed in the logic of GOD. Fully engage these realities in your lifestyle, and so you will never [3]fail. The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed by 1Peter 2:18; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
We as living stones have Christ as are examples as we learn and walk the pilgrimage of heavenly birth through re-birthing or the awakening and on into eternity with GOD as Christ ones once born of woman. The world has many nationality's and all have this pattern of his life seeded within them but not all will awaken to his calling of them. Or many of the religious world would have us to believe but with GOD this just is not so. Peter being petros and under the inspiration of holiness spreads out the Isaiah passage of 53:4 through 9 in his illustration of our Christ likeness.

For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. We are still on the theme of our being priest's like onto Melchizedek, which reflects the Lordship of Christ that resonates within us, as Christ is our shining example.
1Peter 2:13-17 "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: as free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king." (KJV)

Yes we are free ( from man-made rules and institutions to govern our behavior) but do not use our freedom in a way that others may read it as a disguise for an evil agenda! We are GOD-governed! (Where love and his faith rule!) Esteem all people with equal respect. Love family with much affection. Revere GOD, Respect the King." (The Mirror)

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in 1Peter 2:9; from a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
Peter is about to lay on us the change that we will carry through out eternity as images and likenesses of GOD, and the little know power of light that resonates and echos within our being, that is to say Christ Ones. He will define for us what this means.
1Peter 2:9-10, 11-12 "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation." It does not matter how appealing the system of the flesh-glory seemed, it can never define or fulfill us; do not allow yourselves to be lured back into its strategies and sway! We are dearly loved! I urge you form within this place of our joint [1]oneness to remain like pilgrims and strangers to the subtleties of a world-system that is foreign and alien to our true design. Avoid any influence that does not [2]resonate with by name; suggesting close and intimate companionship; innocence. The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed by 1Peter 2:4; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
Now we will find that Peter by inspiration of the revelation, this is to say, Christ! That he now reveals in him that are Christ's, all of humanity is become living stones of the larger revelation that is Christ, Emmanuel's GOD in humanity meaning. He does so by bring forward Isaiah's much loved quote found in Isaiah 28:16 and others by bring them forward for our benefit of understanding by enlightenment. In the same way that I am attempting to carry on with.
1Peter 2:4-8 "To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture (Isaiah 28:16, Zechariah 10:4), "Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded." Everything that was prophetically mirrored in the shadow tabernacle of Israel, (we are now), has finally found its relevance in Jesus Christ; he fully unveils the real deal; the temple, the priestly-order and the people are all one in him. This is [1]central to the prophetic theme of Scripture: as voiced by Isaiah in 28:16: "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, (a true, tired and tested) cornerstone, the [2]exact and precise reference to the the authentic thought of GOD; the one who exhibited the perfect idea of human life indwelt by GOD, again. This made him most precious and desirable; he will not disappoint anyone's belief that he is indeed the true Messiah, the Savior of the world! He exhibited human life as the true temple of GOD'S indwelling. (The word, [1, G4023 from G4012 and G2192 ] periecho, is from (G4012) peri, which, in compounds, retains substantially the same meaning of circuit (around), excess (beyond), or completeness (through), with (G2192) echo, to hold, to resonate. The word, [2, G1588, G1586 eklegomai, from a middle voice from G1537 and G3004] eklego, is from (G1537) ek, meaning origin, and (G3004) lego, meaning idea, thought.
Look at Ephesians 2:20, The first evidence of this building was Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone, he is the first visible testimony to the restored image and likeness of GOD in human form.
Also at Romans 9:33, The conclusion of the prophetic reference pointed towards the rock as the spirit identity of a person. GOD placed his testimony of their identity in front of their eyes, in Zion, the center of their religious focus, yet, blinded by their own efforts to justify themselves, they tripped over him. But those who recognized him by faith, as the Rock from which they were hewn are freed from the shame of their sense of failure and inferiority. [Look at Deuteronomy 32:18, "you have forgotten the Rock that birthed you;" and in Isaiah 51:1, "Look to the Rock from which you were hewn."] It is only in him that humanity will discover what they are looking for. Who is the son of man? His physical identity is defined by his spiritual origin (just as is ours), the image and likeness of GOD, I say you are petros, you are rock [look at Matthew 16:13-19]. Humanity's origin and true identity is preserved and revealed again in the Rock of ages. The term, rock in those days represented what we call the hard drive in computer's technology; the place where data is most securely preserved. Rock fossils carry the oldest data and evidence of life.
Look also at Romans 10:11, Scripture declares that whosoever believes in Christ [to be the fulfillment of the promise of GOD to redeem humanity] will not be ashamed (hesitant) to announce him. [Look also to Isaiah 28:16, H2363] These two Hebrew words cush, to make haste, and [Isaiah 49:23, H954] bush, to be ashamed, look very similar and were obviously confused in some translations---the Greek form of the Hebrew translation. the Septuagint was the Scriptures Paul was most familiar with and there the word translated from the word bush.) His irreplaceable and priceless value is now realized in our convictions; the very stone rejected by the unbelief systems of religion and its religious leaders of the day (are still active today), has become the head of the house! Unbelief is such a predictable set-up where that which is highly esteemed by faith, seems scandalous and offensive to the self-righteous mind. Since there is no ground left for boasting, grace offends the typical "law of works-mentality." The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in 1Peter 1:22; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
We are still in Peter's inspiration of the revelation of Christ restored to and within humanity, GOD'S creation. Peter will soon tie his name, little stone, petros to us as living stones of the revelation of Christ within us as our origin showed. A stone taken from the larger living rock of Prophecy.
1Peter 1:22-2:3 "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: being born again[1], not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For Isaiah states in 40:6-8, "all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: but the word of the Lord endureth for ever." And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: if so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious." 1Peter 1:22-2:3 As a result of our accurate hearing of the unveiled truth, and through the agency of the Spirit, we have engaged our souls fully with the purifying effect of our inclusion in his glorious work of redemption. (Look at our commentary note in 1Peter 1:14. The same Spirit of Christ who spoke from within the OT Prophets, now endorses truth within our spirit.) This co-resurrection-new-birth[1] does not compare to the fading qualities of that which is produced by the perishable seed of the carnal works and performance-based mindset. The indestructible living seed of the word of GOD conceives resurrection life within our [1]host; this life in [2]equal to its source. (The word, [1, G313] anagennaō, means to beget, be a host, and has two parts, G303 and G1080, G303 ana, means upward, and G1080 gennaō, to proceed from, to procreate, a host; [2, G3306] meno means, abiding in seamless union, or, to remain the same. we are giving stature to the rise of a new person (host); a new resurrection generation of a host people who are coming out of obscurity into marvelous light!) "All flesh is grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, but my word is [1]risen for ever." This word is the exact same message of the glad tidings announced by the Prophets and now proclaimed to you! (Peter again quotes from Isaiah 40, this time verse 6 and 8. The Hebrew word [1, H6965]Qum, means to lift and rise up; like in Hosea 6:2. "After two days he will revive us, on the third day, he will raise us up!" Isaiah 40:6, 8; also look at our note on 1:13. The word [2, G3306] meno is used in the Septuagint and also here in the Greek text, Peter uses the word, meno, to remain the same; to continue to be present.) Now, since we are rebooted and redefined in this eternal conversation, any distracting talk is inappropriate. Do away with everything associated with the old performance based mindset! Anything perverse, all manner of guile and hyprocrisies and spiteful jealousies as well as any kind of backbiting is to be shunned. There is zero nourishment in such conversations. Imagine how a newborn babe would crave nothing else but pure mother's milk; in just the same way, drink with total abandonment from the unmixed milk of the (inspired) word. This is our true nourishment! (Approach all Scriptures with an attitude of a new born babe, drawing milk from the mother.) Once you've tasted pure grace, we are spoilt for life! Grace rules! The Lordship of Jesus is established upon this dynamics, of his goodness." (The Mirror, with editing.)
Now is the time to enter eternity by his faith and the Father's faithfulness. For this is the uncovered gospel of our origin restored in redemption unto his salvation, of ascension. where we are already seated with him at the right hand of origin, Father's side. (Genesis 1:26-27) We are the host of his divine being awakened.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in 1Peter 1:17; from a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
We are following Peter's line of inspiration in the revelation of Christ that Jesus spoke of. That deals with our living in Salvation's long time awaited hope of manifestation. After all we have learned of religions false doctrines of delay and future time, as being hindrances to our spiritual growth, in the true and accurate knowledge of GOD in Jesus, a man as we are and like us in every way known.
1Peter 1:17-21 "And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass[1] the time of your sojourning here in fear: forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God." (KJV)
1Peter 1:17-21 "And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout[1] the time of your exile, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God." (ESV)
1Peter 1:17-21 "Now since we are defined in our Father, who does not judge anyone on face value, but always only according to his work; (his finished works in Christ) wherever we find ourselves located geographically or emotionally, [1]returned to our 'at-home-ness' in him, with a deep sense of GOD-consciousness; for we are not defined by circumstances. (The word, [1, G390 from G303 and G4762 ] anastrepho, suggests a radical returning; a literal turning upside down! Actually (G303) ana, means upwards-so, it's actually a turning downside up! Look at 2Corinthians 3:16's note.) It is clear to see that we were ransomed from the futile, fallen mindset that we inherited from our fathers, not by the currency of our own labor, represented by the fluctuating values of gold and silver, and the economy of their or our own religious efforts; for we are redeemed with the priceless blood of Christ; he is the ultimate sacrifice; spotless and without blemish. He completed the prophetic picture! (In him GOD spoke the most radical scapegoat language of the Law of judgment, and brought final closure to a dead and redundant religious system! In Psalm 40:6-7, it is clearly stated that GOD does not require sacrifices or offerings! Jesus was that Lamb of GOD! He collides victoriously with the futile sacrificial system whereby offerings are constantly made to the pseudo, moody, monster gods of mans trumped up imagination! This is the scandal of the cross! GOD does not demand a sacrifice that would change the way he thinks about his humanity; he provided the sacrifice of himself as Christ in order to forever eradicate sin-consciousness from humanity's minds and thinking and radically changed the way we think about our Maker, one another and ourselves! [Sin-consciousness is in essence a works-based consciousness.] GOD did not cloth Adam with the skin of a slain animal because of a divine need to be appeased, but because of their unconditional love for Adam; they spoke the language of Adam's own judgmental (guilt, shame) attitude, seen when he acknowledge their nakedness before him: Adam, not GOD, was embarrassed about his nakedness. The clothing was not to make GOD look at Adam differently, but to make Adam see himself differently by feeling better about himself! And ultimately it was to prophetically prepare Adam for the unveiling of the mystery of humanity's redemption in the incarnation. Where Deity would clothe themselves in human skin, in a Son; and the Lion of Judah became the Lamb of GOD in order to free our minds to re-discover his image and likeness in our skin! Look at 1Peter 1:2.) He was always destined in GOD'S prophetic thought; GOD knew even before the beginning of time that the [1]fall of his ordered world order would order his Son, and he would be the Lamb, to be made manifest in these [2]last days, because of us! (We are the reason Jesus died and was raised! The word, [1, G2602, katabolē, to deposit, a conception, from G2598 ] kataballo, means "to fall away, to put in a lower order," instead of (G2310) themelios, meaning " foundation" [see Ephesians 2:20]; thus, translated as, "the fall of the world," instead of "foundation of the world." The entire "Fall" was a falling away in our minds by religions design from our true identity as image and likeness bearers of Elohim. Just like Eve, we were all deceived to believing the lie about ourselves, which is the fruit of the "I-am-not-tree." The hidden meaning of the world "religion" that binds and enslaves. We all, like sheep have gone astray. [Isaiah 53:6] The word, [2, G2078] eschatos, means extreme; last in time or in space; the uttermost part, the final conclusion. What GOD said about 'you-manity' in Jesus defines eschatology!) He is the conclusive cause of our belief in GOD. Seeing then how perfectly we fit into the scheme of things, it is no wonder (miracle) that our faith in GOD'S act of raising Jesus from the dead became the glorious reference to our own new birth! The glory that GOD gave Jesus by raising him from the dead, is the conclusion of everything that our faith longed for, now realized! (This is the redeemed glory that the Prophets pointed to! Hosea 6:2 speaks of in this way, "After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up!" Isaiah 40:5 speaks in this way, "And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see (know) it together!" ) (The Mirror, with editing.)

He was always destined in GOD'S prophetic thought; GOD knew even before the beginning of time that the [1]fall of his ordered world order would order his Son, and he would be the Lamb, to be made manifest in these [2]last days, because of us! (We are the reason Jesus died and was raised! The word, [1, G2602, katabolē, to deposit, a conception, from G2598 ] kataballo, means "to fall away, to put in a lower order," instead of (G2310) themelios, meaning " foundation" [see Ephesians 2:20]; thus, translated as, "the fall of the world," instead of "foundation of the world." The entire "Fall" was a falling away in our minds by religions design from our true identity as image and likeness bearers of Elohim. Just like Eve, we were all deceived to believing the lie about ourselves, which is the fruit of the "I-am-not-tree." The hidden meaning of the world "religion" that binds and enslaves. We all, like sheep have gone astray. [Isaiah 53:6] The word, [2, G2078] eschatos, means extreme; last in time or in space; the uttermost part, the final conclusion. What GOD said about 'you-manity' in Jesus defines eschatology!) He is the conclusive cause of our belief in GOD. Seeing then how perfectly we fit into the scheme of things, it is no wonder (miracle) that our faith in GOD'S act of raising Jesus from the dead became the glorious reference to our own new birth! The glory that GOD gave Jesus by raising him from the dead, is the conclusion of everything that our faith longed for, now realized! (This is the redeemed glory that the Prophets pointed to! Hosea 6:2 speaks of in this way, "After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up!" The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed by 1Peter 1:13; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
We are looking into Peter's knowledge of Salvation and how we are to live within. Lets see what he has to say on this new way and abiding life that carries us on-ward and for eternity up-ward, for we now in eternity's hope and glory that is Salvation.
1Peter 1:13-16 "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written (in Leviticus 11:44-45, 19:2, and 20:7), 'Be ye holy; for I am holy.'" Do not allow the old mindset of a future or delayed tense glory to intoxicate you and distract you from the relevance of this moment! Stop pointing to delayed or future Messiah! You're it! You are who the Prophets pointed to! You are the fruit of his sufferings; you are the glorious resurrection generation! Fully engage your [2]minds with the consequence of this grace in the revelation of Jesus Christ! He [3]completes our every [4]expectation, in the here and now! In one act of righteousness, GOD removed every possible definition of distance and delay! Every excuse that we could have to feel separated from GOD was forever cancelled, destroyed! This is what the Prophets saw: "Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountian and hill be made low; the crooked places shall be made forever straight, even the rough places shall be made smooth. And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken." Isaiah 40:4-5) Our [1]accurate hearing is what distinguishes you as the resurrection generation; the days of being driven by every [2]desperate, distortion passion of our former ignorance (blindness and delusion) are over! The [3]fashions and patterns of a redundant system are no longer relevant nor a issue! (The word, [1, G5219 from G5259 and G191] upoakoo, is often translated, obedience, is from (G5259) upo, meaning under, as in under the influence of, and (G191) akoo, to hear. In the context of this chapter, Peter urges us to hear accurately (not presumptuously) what is communicated in the prophetic word concerning the life of our design, now rebooted (restored) into newness by our joint resurrection (venture) with Jesus Christ! The word, [2, G1939 from G1937] epithumia, translates, desire, craving, longing, desire for what is forbidden, lust. Quite a different verb egeneto, "become," appears in John 1:14 for the beginning of the Incarnation of the Logos. The Word 'became' flesh. The incarnation is not the origin of Jesus. See the distinction sharply drawn in John 8:58, "before Abraham was [born, genesthai from ginomai] I am." The word, eimi, I am; the essence of being, suggesting timeless existence. You did not begin in your mother's womb. You began in GOD'S I-am-ness! You are the most magnificent idea that the engineer of the Universe has ever had! The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in 1Peter 1:10; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
Peter is speaking on the theme of the Prophetic era of thought which spoke of humanity's salvation in language that they did not know or understand totally at that time. But we of this age of grace both know and understand by divine inspiration, by the Spirit of Christ within us, redemption's given newness of life. This speaks of humanity's salvation not religions false delay or future offness, as a lie of some day kind of thing.
1Peter 1:10-12 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into." (KJV)
1Peter 1:10-12 "Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look." The Law of required works to show ones obedience would never replace the grace spoken of in shadow language.) In all of their conversation there was a constant quest to determine who the Messiah would be, and exactly when this would happen. They knew with certainty that it was the Spirit as Christ within even them that pointed prophetically and gave testimony to the sufferings of the Christ and the subsequent glory. (Whatever glory was last by Adam, would be redeemed again through Jesus Christ, Emmanuel!) It was revealed to them that this glorious grace message that they were communicating pointed to a specific day and person beyond their own horizon and generation; they saw us in their prophetic view finder! This [1]heavenly announcement had us in mind all along! They proclaimed glad tidings to our advantage, by the Holy Spirit, commissioned from heaven; the Shepherd-Messenger themselves longed to gaze deeply into his complete fulfillment. (Peter uses the word, [1, G312 from G303 and the base of G32 aggelos, messenger] anaggello, where the preposition, (G303 ) ana, points upwards to the source of the announcement.) The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in 1Peter 1:3; from a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
We are now learning from Peter, the man feed by GOD'S inspirational food of wisdom and understanding, that the others also acquired the moment of their redemption through which they pasted into Genesis 2's salvation, from there all else is but history if written on paper other wise it just is, Now Salvation! Back during the Prophetic era it was but a theme of shadowy invisible images. You see light, love, truth and yes divine spiritual life is, Now! The body of our earth occupation is also become Now. Just as was Jesus' Now, from the moment of his birth through the gate by which Emmanuel, Messiah lived the Genesis 2 life in our humanity of innocence once again as the second Adam. But without an Eve of this realm, as our messenger assigned the mission of introduction to Heavens Kingdom in which there Light, Love, and Life of unspeakable richness. This is where we are even while our bodies struggle through on earth awaiting our spirit departure.
1Peter 1:3-9 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls." 1Peter 1:3-9 "So let us [1]boast about it and bless GOD and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with articulate acclaim! He has reconnected us to our original genesis through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead! This new birth endorses and celebrates the hope of the ages; GOD'S eternal love dream concluded in life! (Now here is where it gets interesting; the word, [1, G2128 from G2127 eulogeō, a compound of G2095 epopteuō, to inspect, and G3056 logos, something said, divine expression, inspiration] eulogetos, means to brag, to bless, to speak well of. Jesus reminds Nicodemus that we are born anouthen, from above in John 3:3 and then again in 3:13. No one can fully engage in heaven's perspective, unless one's heavenly origin is realized! The Son of man declares humanity's co-genesis from above! And now through our joint resurrection, we are reconnected again to our original identity as sons. The word, anagennao, is from (G303) ana, meaning upward, reconnecting with anouthen - John 3:3 - from above, where we came from in the first place (Genesis 1:26-27 to 2:6-7); and (G1080) gennao, to regenerate, a variation of G1085 genos, to procreate, give birth. As much as his death brought dramatic closure to our futile and failed attempts to justify and define ourselves, our co-resurrection rebooted the original blueprint of our Maker's image and likeness within us! ) We are reintroduced to an [1]imperishable inheritance, which has been [2]flawlessly [3]preserved for us in the heavenly realm, where neither Adam's fall, nor humanity's failures to justify themselves, could possibly [2]contaminate, discredit or diminish the original portion of our true sonship realized in Christ Jesus! (Herein Peter employed three adjectives to reinforce the idea of the absolute imperishable integrity of our inheritance. The word, [1, G862 is from G1 with G5351] aphthartos, is from (G1+G5351) a + ptheiro, incorruptible, indestructible, that which time cannot decay or decrease; the word, [2, G283] amiantos, is G1+G3392 a + maraino, extinguish, neither time nor decay could touch or contaminate it in any way! The verb, (G5083) teteremenen, is the perfect Passive tense, which translates having been kept, to guard from loss or injury, to keep ones eye upon (as in Deuteronomy 32:10, Zechariah 2:8). Look also at Hebrews 6:16-17) Your legitimate inheritance was guarded all along by GOD'S belief in you, to be fully unveiled in the [1]conclusion of time as the perfect solution to humanity's predicament! ([1]Jesus is the incarnate Word (revelation of GOD), Hebrews 1:1-3, Galatians 4:4) So, regardless of any degree of contradiction, whether prolonged, or swift, your reason for exuberant joy remains uninterrupted; even at times where you might have occasion to feel utterly miserable. This will help you in those difficult times: think of your belief as something much more precious than any possible evaluation of gold; remember that fire does not destroy this metal, it serves to reveal it! Now even gold is an inferior comparison to faith! Gold as a currency has only temporal and unpredictable value; it fluctuates as the market changes. Now, in the same way that fire reveals gold, your faith in the midst of contradiction, make Jesus Christ visible and gives much reason for testimony [1]stories worth telling. This is what has permanent [2]value, and exhibits the glory of Christ in you! (The word often translated as praise, [1, G1868 from G1909 and the base of G134 ] epainos, has two components, (G1909) epi, contunual influence upon, and (G134) ainos, which often reflects a story worth telling; the word, [2, G5092 from G5099 tinō, to pay the price] timay, means to honor, suggests a valuing by which the price is fixed. LOOK also at 2Corinthians 13:5.) So even though you have seen Jesus in your flesh you love him; even at times where he seems remote and invisible, your awareness of his presence your union with him continues to ignite belief! You are leaping with indescribable and exuberant joy as you hold him in highest esteem! In this place of joy, you are [1]beyond the reach of any harm. Joy gives your faith a voice and substance to announce the perfection of your soul's salvation. (Joy celebrates the fulfillment of Scripture! Now even gold is an inferior comparison to faith! Gold as a currency has only temporal and unpredictable value; it fluctuates as the market changes. Now, in the same way that fire reveals gold, your faith in the midst of contradiction, make Jesus Christ visible and gives much reason for testimony [1]stories worth telling. This is what has permanent [2]value, and exhibits the glory of Christ in you! The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed by 1Peter 1:1; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
Now it would do us all well to remember that Peter was at one time Simon son of Bar Jona a businessman in the fishing business. That is until the day that he and other meet Jesus who was the promised Emmanuel and Messiah of the Prophetic Jewish history. After which he answered a question that forever changed the course for humanity and the Jewish religion based on the Levitical Law of condemnation. Matthew and Mark record this day and the question asked, for Matthew it is in chapter 16, for Mark in 8, both in the old system of Jewish habit was used as the initial entry, which unknown to them and those who would follow in the prior histories teachings was about to change the way GOD would deal with His creation. So lets see how Simon now Peter deals with divine inspiration as his new birthing guide of spiritual life and his own faith walk, which is also to be an example for us, in a living hope.

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in James 5:13; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
James, is revealing how we are to walk the faith walk of our spiritual side, by dependency on the wisdom that GOD supplies us in salvation. This is the victory of our co-resurrection and co-ascension portion of our death in Emmanuel, Christ Jesus's appearance according to his gospel mission to bring both his and our humanity through redemption. This life style we found out in our last visit has been greatly hinder by the two lies of religion, which are "future, and delay." As if the finished work of Jesus' mission was not complete according their, religions doctrine. This ploy putting the worlds religious systems above GOD'S wisdom and work.
James 5:13-18, 19-20 "Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick[1] among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray[2, 3] over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." (KJV)

The prayer (environment) [G2171 euchē, from G2172, to make known your wish] of faith shall restore the feeble. The LORD shall revitalize and quicken you; he even forgives you anything stupid you might have done to have caused the situation. (Do not tolerate vibes G3900) if you have wronged someone talk to him about it; pray for each other to maintain a healthy fellowship. Righteousness is the fuel of effective prayer. (How right things are, not how wrong things are now motivate your every prayer and conversation! Not the size or the detail of the problem.) Elijah wasn't superman, yet his prayers had supernatural results with global impact. Remember how he prayed. He prayed with such resolve that he stopped the rain for three and a half years! He prayed again and everything was back to normal; rain and harvest is season!

The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in James 5:7; from a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
Keeping in mind that James is sharing from his heart our spiritual life with GOD'S wisdom that is supplied to us from above. He like John's synoptic Gospel is set apart from the normal by this one distinction. For they both by His Spirit know first hand that His Spirit is being awakened the dormant spirit within all who come to Him without reservation. As we have also seen in our independent word searches.
James 5:7-11, 12 "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation." (KJV)

(The word, [1, G3952, from the present participle of G3918, pareimi, being near, from G3844 and G1510 ] parousia, means presence, it comes from (G3844) para, closest possible proximity, and (G1510, from the ancient Hebrew H1961, hâyâh, to breath, to exist, to be) eimi, "I am," to exist. Sadly this beautiful word has always been translated to point to yet another future event---the coming of the LORD. When He spoke the "I am" to Abram, Abram took it to mean I am to be within you, now the translators do not show it this way. Religion thrives on two lies, distance and delay! Emmanuel cancelled both in Christ! Jesus said in John 4, "Do you not say, "there are yet four months then comes the harvest." Yet you are looking at the wrong harvest! Lift up your eyes, look away from your own labor and see the harvest that is already ripe!" Meaning us!) Let your heart also be firm in patience while the [1]closeness of the embrace of his presence sustains you. (The word, [1, G1448 eggizō, from G1451] engidzo, means to bring near, reflexively ---Strong's Concordance: here translates this as "the closeness of his embrace." ) When circumstances [1]squeeze you into tight spots, don't make your problem your target or topic of conversation with one another (there is no relief in feeling sorry for yourselves by this means) while the LORD is left standing outside behind closed doors. Let him be the judge of your situation. (The word, [1, G4727 from G4728] stenadzo, means to groan, complain; it comes from (G4728) stenos, meaning narrow.) The Prophets who spoke in the Name of the LORD are our [1]mentors; consider what they had to put up with and what hardships they went through, and with what fortitude the prevailed. (The word, [1, G5262 from G5263 ] hupodeigma, means an exhibit, pattern for imitation.) To look back at the faith heroes of yesterday is always an inspiration. Even Job's life was prophetic. Consider how GOD came through for him in the end; his endurance proved GOD'S extreme compassion and tender mercies. (The first part represents life under the Law of fear, the later the law of faith.)
(Since you are convinced of GOD'S tender feelings towards you,) making foolish oaths does not add weight to your intentions! it makes no difference whether you attempt to tap into heaven's magic or swear by some earthly institution, or any other binding authority. Keep it simple, yes cannot mean no at the same time. Swearing silly oaths makes you look phony anyway!" (The Mirror, with editing)

(The word, [1, G1448 eggizō, from G1451] engidzo, means to bring near, reflexively ---Strong's Concordance: here translates this as "the closeness of his embrace." ) When circumstances [1]squeeze you into tight spots, don't make your problem your target or topic of conversation with one another (there is no relief in feeling sorry for yourselves by this means) while the LORD is left standing outside behind closed doors. Let him be the judge of your situation. (The word, [1, G4727 from G4728] stenadzo, means to groan, complain; it comes from (G4728) stenos, meaning narrow.) The Prophets who spoke in the Name of the LORD are our [1]mentors; consider what they had to put up with and what hardships they went through, and with what fortitude the prevailed. (The word, [1, G5262 from G5263 ] hupodeigma, means an exhibit, pattern for imitation.) To look back at the faith heroes of yesterday is always an inspiration. Even Job's life was prophetic. Consider how GOD came through for him in the end; his endurance proved GOD'S extreme compassion and tender mercies. (The first part represents life under the Law of fear, the later the law of faith.)
(Since you are convinced of GOD'S tender feelings towards you,) making foolish oaths does not add weight to your intentions! it makes no difference whether you attempt to tap into heaven's magic or swear by some earthly institution, or any other binding authority. James is speaking on living the practical side of our spiritual life with dependency on GOD'S supplying us wisdom from above, this time he speaks of the use of riches with a warning.
James 5:1-6 "Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you." (KJV)

You have indulged in a delicate lifestyle on all your properties; you have stuffed yourselves; grabbing and looting like soldiers on the battlefield. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

He never handed you the power of attorney.
Hey, you who has got your year planner out, can you already taste the profits in all your business ventures; you're going big; travel, and trade from city to city! Meanwhile, you have no handle on tomorrow! Your life is like a mist that is visible for a short while before it evaporates. My best advice for you is to wrap up all your plans and conversations in the delight resolve of GOD. Don't be so cocksure about your dreams for the future. Plans that presumptuously exclude GOD'S opinion end up to be [1]full of labors, annoyances, and hardships. ( The word, [1, G4190] poneros, is described in Thayer's Lexicon to mean, full of annoyances, hardships and labors, wicked; G4192 as, anguish.) To turn a blind eye to an obvious opportunity to do good is [1]out of character. The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in James 4:1; from a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
We are still on the practical side of our spiritual life with wisdom supplied from above, in James' discourse, this time with a warning like those of Paul's Epistles carry. Now remember also that James had to know and understand the ancient scriptures as well as Paul did as we shall soon see, for real life applications.
James 4:1-10 "From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain (in Numbers 23:19), "The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?" But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith (in Psalm 138:6 and Proverbs 3:34), "God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." (KJV)

You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says (in Numbers 23:19), "He yearns jealously over the spirit that he has made to dwell in us?" But he gives more grace. This is in such contrast to the wisdom from above, see James 1:17 and 3:17. Any sense of lack causes us to forget what manner of person we are, and how perfect and complete and without lack we actually are (when our true and correct identity is fully known) by design, as mirrored in Christ! This is again the typical arena of the Levitical Law of self works and striving against the knowledge of GOD in the law of perfect liberty, faith.) You allow your heart to become so consumed with longing for something until you are ready to kill for it. Then you are still not satisfied. What you want keeps evading you; you quarrel and strive, and you just can't get it. If you are desperately unfulfilled why don'y you simply ask of GOD to give you what you need? (This is in such contrast to the wisdom from above, see 3:17. Also James 1:5, "The only thing you could possibly lack is wisdom [One might sometimes feel challenged beyond the point of sanity]; however, make your request in such a way that you draw directly from the source [not filtered through other opinions, but your own inspiration]. GOD is the origin and author of wisdom; he intertwines our thoughts with good judgment. His gifts are available to all, without regret or partiality.) You have asked, but GOD seems reluctant to give it to you, you may say. But when your motivation is to get something just so that you can squander it on yourself, you are doing it all wrong! (This is like expecting GOD to support your own futile efforts to justify yourself. Look at James 1:2-4, 17-18, 23-25.) Adultery, whether it is the husband or the wife who does the flirting, is destructive. Can't you see that even though the world system might approve of such behavior, it is contrary to GOD'S design for us? Whose friend do you want to be? Are you prepared to distance yourself from GOD (and the life of your design) just to win the plastic applause of this world? Scripture is not quoting empty thoughts when it states that GOD yearns with jealous expectation over the spirit which he has made to inhabit us. His gift of grace (1:17) is in direct opposition to the vanity of the proud mindset of self effort, whereby people strive to prove themselves as superior to others, including GOD! Gift and reward are opposites! Humility attracts grace. Our most effective defense against any diabolical mindset, is to yield ourselves in total abandonment to GOD, and there encounter his dream-life for us. We will witness how effortlessly those thoughts flee from us. (The word, diabollos, is from two parts, diaballo, dia, because of, and ballo, to cast down; to accuse, to make false and defamatory statements against someone. This points to the develish fallen mindset-system which has engaged generations in the blind-fold mode of pride and accusation, by not seeing the image of GOD in all human life.) Snuggle up to the warm embrace of GOD; experience his closeness. (In Christ every definition of distance or delay is cancelled.) The sinner can come with all Saints washed from his hands; the double-minded can come with a purified heart. This is not a mere blase yielding. Realizing the misery that you have brought upon yourself and others is often accompanied by intense grief and weeping. This is no place for superficial laughter and make-belief joy; nor any occasion for boasting! (Your futile efforts to justify yourself through striving and fighting against the goads only reinforces your stark nakedness. The perfect law of liberty, unveiling the mirror message declares your redeemed innocence through the finished work of the Cross of Christ, deep within you.) Put down your own efforts to fight for your imaginary rights (the first lie); let him lift you up to the dignity of his [1]presence. (The word translated, presence, [1, G1799 is from a compound of G1722 and a derivation of G3700 ] enopion, means in the gaze of; face to face. See your face reflected in his! The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed by James 3:13; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
We are learning the spiritual side of life or the new life with wisdom from above in operation within the sons of GOD, known by GOD as Saints.
James 3:13-18 "Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace." (KJV)
James 3:13-18 "Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. This distinguishes us with the reputation of someone who is acquainted with wisdom and skilled in understanding. If there is any hidden agenda, secretly driven by bitter jealousy and contention, you have nothing to be proud of. Your big talk sounds superficial and offers no disguise. (The true foundation of your heart always shows through!) This wisdom does not originate from above, but is clearly reduced to a kind that is earthy, ruled by the senses and emotions, and dictated by demons. (Or daimon; from daio (to distribute fortunes). The Greeks gave the word daimon the same meaning as god. What they meant by the word; however, is still a conjecture. They may have related a demon with daemmonas, knowing or being experienced in a thing, or they may have derived the word from daiomai, meaning to assign or award one's lot in life (diaitetai kai dioikemtai ton anthropon), the arbitrators or umpires and governors of men.
They conceived of them as those who ruled and directed human affairs, not as a personality, but primarily as a destructive power. Thus they called the happy or "lucky" person eudaimon, one who is favored by this divine power. The adjective, daimonios, was used for one who demonstrated power irrespective of whether it was saving or destructive. The Tragic Poets used daimon to denote fortune or fate, frequently bad fortune, but also good fortune inf the context represented it as such. Thus, daimon is associated with the idea of a gloomy and sad destiny independent of a person, coming upon and prevailing over them. Consequently, daimon and tuche, "luck," are often combined, and the doctrine of demons developed into signifying either a beneficent or evil power in the lives of people. The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as revealed in James 3:1; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.
Learning the practical side of the spiritual life wherein the old customs, rites, rituals, traditions and habits are laid aside as waist, this also includes the thought life as known and our being first raised in, more on this in chapter 4. For our re-birth requires our ability to reason by or with GOD'S wisdom which is Christ's mind-set.
James 3:1-12 "My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water." (ESV)
James 3:1-12 "My Friends, let's not be quick to assume the title of teacher. Remember when we teach we subject ourselves to greater scrutiny. It is common habit to [1]descend from a higher place (of faith) to a lower (of the sense and emotional realms of the flesh), especially in conversations. However, if you want to be in perfect charge of your whole person, the best place to begin is to take charge of your tongue. (To reflect the word that confirms your true genesis [James 1:18-19], The word, [1] peripipto, comes from, peri, and means surrounded + pipto, is from petomai, meaning to fly; thus, to descend from a higher place to a lower, to stop flying.) With bit and bridle we are able to direct the strong body of a horse; it's the little bit in the mouth that makes the difference! Consider the effect of a small rudder on a large ship, when the seasoned captain skillfully steers that vessel on a straight course contrary to fierce winds and weather. As small a member the tongue might be it can make great claims. A little fire can go out of control and consume a large forest! A tongue can strike like lightning and turn the harmony of your world into chaos; one little member can stain the whole body. It can disrupt the pattern of our design, taking its spark from the smoldering garbage heaps of [1]Gehenna. ([1]The garbage heap outside Jerusalem, commonly related to hell. Gehenna, is the Latin word; Geenas is the Greek word used for the Hebrew "Valley of Hinnom," which is modern day Wadi er-Rababi. A fiery place for the disposal of waste matter from the city of Jerusalem. The "Valley of Hinnom" lies outside of ancient Jerusalem. Thus to slander someone is to reduce that person to rubbish.) Form tigers to eagles, cobras to dolphins, humans have succeeded to curb the wild nature of beasts and birds, reptiles and sea creatures. Yet on-one can tame a tongue; no-one can restrain the evil in its fatal venom. (The Levitical Law of works operated by willpower cannot match the effect of the law of perfect liberty! Mirror likeness ignites true freedom to utter that which is precious!) We can say beautiful things about GOD the Father but with the same mouth curse a fellow human made in his mirror likeness. (The point is not what the person did to deserve the insult. The point is that people are image and likeness bearers of GOD by design! True worship is to touch someone's life with the same devotion and care you would touch Jesus himself with; even if the other person seems a most unlikely candidate.) My Friends, a blessing and a curse cannot originate from the same source. (Discovering our true source brings true freedom. [James 1:17-18] ) Not even a natural fountain produces both bitter and sweet water. As impossible as it is for a fig tree to bear olives, and a vine to produce figs, so a fountain cannot yield salt and fresh water from the same source." (The Mirror, with editing)
