We are still in Peter's inspiration of the revelation of Christ restored to and within humanity, GOD'S creation. Peter will soon tie his name, little stone, petros to us as living stones of the revelation of Christ within us as our origin showed. A stone taken from the larger living rock of Prophecy.
1Peter 1:22-2:3 "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: being born again[1], not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For Isaiah states in 40:6-8, "all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: but the word of the Lord endureth for ever." And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: if so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious." 1Peter 1:22-2:3 As a result of our accurate hearing of the unveiled truth, and through the agency of the Spirit, we have engaged our souls fully with the purifying effect of our inclusion in his glorious work of redemption. (Look at our commentary note in 1Peter 1:14. The same Spirit of Christ who spoke from within the OT Prophets, now endorses truth within our spirit.) This co-resurrection-new-birth[1] does not compare to the fading qualities of that which is produced by the perishable seed of the carnal works and performance-based mindset. The indestructible living seed of the word of GOD conceives resurrection life within our [1]host; this life in [2]equal to its source. (The word, [1, G313] anagennaō, means to beget, be a host, and has two parts, G303 and G1080, G303 ana, means upward, and G1080 gennaō, to proceed from, to procreate, a host; [2, G3306] meno means, abiding in seamless union, or, to remain the same. we are giving stature to the rise of a new person (host); a new resurrection generation of a host people who are coming out of obscurity into marvelous light!) "All flesh is grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, but my word is [1]risen for ever." This word is the exact same message of the glad tidings announced by the Prophets and now proclaimed to you! (Peter again quotes from Isaiah 40, this time verse 6 and 8. The Hebrew word [1, H6965]Qum, means to lift and rise up; like in Hosea 6:2. "After two days he will revive us, on the third day, he will raise us up!" Isaiah 40:6, 8; also look at our note on 1:13. The word [2, G3306] meno is used in the Septuagint and also here in the Greek text, Peter uses the word, meno, to remain the same; to continue to be present.) Now, since we are rebooted and redefined in this eternal conversation, any distracting talk is inappropriate. Do away with everything associated with the old performance based mindset! Anything perverse, all manner of guile and hyprocrisies and spiteful jealousies as well as any kind of backbiting is to be shunned. There is zero nourishment in such conversations. Imagine how a newborn babe would crave nothing else but pure mother's milk; in just the same way, drink with total abandonment from the unmixed milk of the (inspired) word. This is our true nourishment! (Approach all Scriptures with an attitude of a new born babe, drawing milk from the mother.) Once you've tasted pure grace, we are spoilt for life! Grace rules! Now is the time to enter eternity by his faith and the Father's faithfulness. For this is the uncovered gospel of our origin restored in redemption unto his salvation, of ascension. where we are already seated with him at the right hand of origin, Father's side. (Genesis 1:26-27) We are the host of his divine being awakened.
