Peter is about to lay on us the change that we will carry through out eternity as images and likenesses of GOD, and the little know power of light that resonates and echos within our being, that is to say Christ Ones. He will define for us what this means.
1Peter 2:9-10, 11-12 "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation." (KJV)

It does not matter how appealing the system of the flesh-glory seemed, it can never define or fulfill us; do not allow yourselves to be lured back into its strategies and sway! We are dearly loved! I urge you form within this place of our joint [1]oneness to remain like pilgrims and strangers to the subtleties of a world-system that is foreign and alien to our true design. Avoid any influence that does not [2]resonate with by name; suggesting close and intimate companionship; innocence. (The word, [1, G3870 from G3844 and G2564 ] parakaleo, has two components; (G3844) para, suggesting close proximity and (G2564) kaleo, to surname or to identify by name; suggesting close and intimate companionship; the word [2, G567 from 568 from G575 and G2192] apechomai, (G575) apo, means away from, and (G2192) echo, to abstain from that which does not resonate.) The beautiful way in which we conduct ourselves in the company of people who are not familiar with our beliefs, will atract their attention to the resonance of their hearts as they witness for themselves GOD'S intentions as evidenced in our good work. Now you get the change that is take place within us after hearing the truth about our origin restored? What a different world this would become if all walked in his salvation and not as they do around its edges. Now may the LORD help both you and your to see the beauty of his indwelling.
