The saga of "The Secret of GOD", as shown in 1Corinthians 7:32; with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

Okay, we have three more thoughts to look at here in 1Corinthians 7, which means that I shall again break them up into two because the last is but two sentences. In this one Paul is continuing his discussion of the unmarried.

1Corinthians 7:32-35 "But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife. There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction." (KJV)

1Corinthians 7:32-35 "I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided. And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit. But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband. I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord." (ESV)

1Corinthians 7:32-35 "In my opinion the unmarried person lives an uncomplicated life; fully devoted to the LORD without any distractions; while the married person is confronted with all the typical domestic challenges absorbing his attention in his commitment to his wife and her delights and demands. The same goes for the ladies; the unmarried woman can give her undivided attention to the LORD without any emotional or physical marital obligations. I really have your focus devotion to the LORD at heart and desire for you to live a beautiful life without any distractions that could possibly snare you." (The Mirror)

In our next visit I shall finish chapter 7's last two thoughts on marriage, the LORD willing. Until then may our GOD bring you success in all of your efforts of life sharing his life with others.
