"The Secret of GOD," as revealed by John in the Revelation of Christ 1:1, with a renewed mind and our victory as foretold.

We now for the gold but not of ore by of the Spirit as revealed by visual revelation to John. And holding to what I have used since we started this inspirational adventure in John's synoptic gospel of divine revelation, it being unlike the end of the OT synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. They marking the end of the economy addressed to Israel and the household of Jewish people, as span of some 3000 - 4000 years.

Revelation 1:1-3 "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand." (KJV)

Revelation 1:1-3 "The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near." (ESV)

Revelation - a lifting of the veil to bring into view what is already there!

Revelation 1:1-3 "Jesus Christ [1]unveiled! This is the revelation of GOD'S [2]gift which was wrapped up [3]in him, in order to clearly illustrate to his bond-servants that, which according to prophetic pointers, [4]inevitably [5]was to have happened in a brief moment of time. This message was [6]vividly portrayed in symbolic pictures by his [7]Shepherd-Herald, commissioned to communicate its mystery to his bond-servant John. (The word, [1, G602 is from G601] apokalupsis, means an uncovering. The word, [2, G1325] didomi, means to give, to furnish, to extend, to present. The word, [3, G846] autoo, is the personal pronoun in the Dative case, indicating location in. The word, [4, G1166 from G1163 deiknuō, from G1210] dei, is from (G1210) deoo, to bind; Thus predictably, necessarily, inevitably. John employs the verb, [5, G1096] ginomai, to beget, in the Aorist Infinitive tense, genesthai, which indicates prior completion of an action in relationship to a point in form time. Greek infinitives could have either a present or Aorist form. The contrast between the two forms was not necessary one of time, it is a difference aspect. It pictures the action expressed by the verb as being in progress. The Aorist Infinitive however does not express progressive aspect. It presents the action expressed by the verb as a completed unit with a beginging and end. The word, [6, G4591] semaino, to give a symbolic sign; Signify; To picture; To portray. Symbolism and imagery play a significant role throughout this book. John would employ pictures that his mostly Jewish audience was already familiar with in their own prophetic writings. A bond-servant is one who cleavs to his master out of no other obligation but total loving devotion. The word often translated Shepherd-Messenger or Messenger, [7, G32, G71 and G34] aggelos, has two components, (G71) ago to lead as a Shepherd leads and (G34) agele a herd of cattle or company. This word carries the idea of a Messenger both in the Shepherd as well as the prophetic context.) John gave accurate evidence to the word of GOD and the Testimony of Jesus Christ, exactly as he saw it. (The Testimony of Jesus Christ is the context of the prophetic word. Look to the notes at the end chapter 20. Colossians 3:4, The unveiling of Christ, as defining our lives, immediately implies that which is now evident in him, is equally evidenced in us, as looking into a mirror.) Blessed is the one who [1]reads and those in his audience who hear with understanding of heart the words this [2]Prophetic Enlightment and treasure what is recorded in this writing; It is [3]time has [4]come! (To read, [1, G314 from G303 and G1097] anaginosko, is from (G303) ana, and (G1097) ginosko, to know upward, thus to draw knowledge from a higher reference, from above, to recognize, to read with recognition. The word, [2, G4394 from G4396 is a compound of G4253 and G5346] propheteia, prophecy, is from (G4253) pro , before, with the idea of face to face, [look at (G4314) pros in John 1:1] and (G4346) phemi, to make known one's thoughts, (G5457) phos, light, and (G5316) phaino, to shine. The word, [3, G2540] kairos, implies a particular time, as related to some event, a convenient, appropriate time, absolutely, a particular point of time, or a particular season, like spring or winter; [4, G1451] engus pointing to that which is imminent.) Now how does this compare with other commentaries? A bite out the norm for sure. Now until our next visit may the LORD of Revelation bless you and yours in His light by His light, which for us life.
