Thessalonians part 39

Yesterday I stated, “mans form of,” because being a called out one or a Christ-like-one is NOT based on mans traditions in a religious atmosphere. Just as it was not for Israel when GOD called Moses and told him to take Israel from among their captures. I get the reason for this statement from Colossians 2 where we find this statement, divided in this fashion 1-5, 6-7, 8-15, 16-19, 20-23: “I would that you know what great conflict I have for you, and them at Laodicea, and as many as have not seen my face in the flesh (speaking of us today); That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him: being rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition (to put in prison, yield up, give over) of men, after the rudiments of (to conform to) the world, and not after Christ. For in Him dwelled all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in Him, which is the Head of all principality and power: In Whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with Him in baptism (placed into the body of Christ by the washing of His blood and the water of the Word), wherein also you are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, Who having raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has He quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that were against us, which were contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing them to His cross; Having spoiled principalities and powers by this action, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it (the body of mans death, separation from GOD is death to GOD, so the LORD reversed this action).

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the Body is of Christ. Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding the Head, from which all the Body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and is knit together, increases with the increase of God.

Wherefore if you be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are you (being in) subjection to ordinances, (such as) (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will worship, humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honor to the satisfying of the flesh (these things are all done to statisify the flesh and for no other reason).”

Did you pick up on the words of warning and the thought or reason behind them? To not do so is to walk upon the cross and blood of Jesus and make it usless, void of resurrection and salvation power.

I suppose that I should also look at 2Corinthians 5:14-15 and then John 10:14-18, 27-30 to get a better picture of what is here stated. I just pray that I am not getting ahead of what the LORD wonts of me.
