Thessalonians part 49

Moving on into Romans 2:1-11, 12-16, 17-24, 25-29 “Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are that judgest: for wherein you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you that judges do the same things (having an evil heart from which there is no understanding). But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to Truth against them which commit such things. And think you this, O man, that judge them which do such things, and do the same, that you shall escape the judgment of God? Or despise you the riches of His goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? But after your hardness and impenitent heart treasures up against yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life: But to them (here is where we pick up on the self-rightous of verse 3 above) that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God.

For as many as have sinned without Law shall also perish without Law: and as many as have sinned in the Law shall be judged by the Law; (For not the hearers of the Law are just before God, but the doers of the Law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the Law, do by nature the things contained in the Law, these, having not the Law, are a law to themselves: Which show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness (see Jeremiah 31:31-34), and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. (the law here spoken of is the revelation of Christ and the resistance of all mankind to HIM for in Jeremiah 31:33 He says this, “The LORD states, I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be My people.” This is not replacement theology because of what Genesis 12:3 states about those who will trust God as Abaraham and then Isaac trusted because this is repeated again in the blessing of Isaac. And is all inclusive of those of the nations.)

Behold, you are called a Jew, and restest in the Law, and makest your boast of God, and (say that you) know His Will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the Law; And are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, an instructor (correctorof the foolish, a teacher of babes, which have the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law. You therefore which teach another, teach you not yourself? You that preach a man should not steal, do you steal? You that say a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? you that abhor idols, do you commit sacrilege? You that make your boast of the Law, through breaking the Law dishonor you God? For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written. (looking to Isaiah we find this in Isaiah 29:13-14 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near with their mouth, and with their lips do honor Me, but have removed their heart far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the precept (the traditions) of men:” Therefore this is also what He states against them in the very next verse, “Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent shall be hid.” )

For circumcision verily profits, if you keep the law: but if you be a breaker of the law, your circumcision is made uncircumcision. Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge you, who by the letter and circumcision do transgress the law? For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”

The Law of Moses has no provision in it for rependence, all of its powers are based on the conviction  of offences against it and its penalties. Form which no one can escape.
