The LORD our Passover

Continuing the indexing list for May 2.

Then I made reference to Colossians which on higher spiritual revelation than say Galatians and Corinthians which also reveals Christ be revelation of Him through the pen of Paul.

Colossians 3:1-11, 12-17, 18-21, 22-25 “If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For you are dead (separated from the world and mans religion and its darkness, though still in it), and your life is hid with Christ in God. For when Christ, Who is our life (Galatians 2:20), shall appear, then shall you also appear with Him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience: In the which you also (formerly) walked some time, when you lived in them. But now you also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man (re-birthed In Christ), which is renewed in knowledge after the image (character) of Him that created him (Gen. 2:7, 22-23): Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long suffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do. Above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule your hearts, to the which also you are called in One Body; and be thankful. Letting the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by (through) Him.

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing to the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eye service, as men pleaser's; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: And whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as to the Lord, and not to men; Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ. But he that does wrong shall receive for the wrong which he has done: and there is no respect of persons.”

Now for the Holy Spirit as found in 2Thessalonians 3 in verse 1 through 5, alone with this there are warning which we must take heed too:

2Thessalonians 3:1-5, 6-13, 14-15, 16, 18 “Finally, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it (He) is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. But the Lord is faithful, Who shall establish (and prefect His character in) you, and keep you from evil. We have this confidence in the Lord touching (before) you, that you both do and will do the things which we command you. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

Now we command you, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walks disorderly, and not after the tradition (instructions delivered) which he received of us. For yourselves know how you ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; Neither did we eat any man's bread for naught; but wrought with labor and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample (examples to all) to you to follow us. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. But be not weary in well doing.

If any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish (give warning to) him as a brother.

Now the Lord of Peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

The LORD as a title of respect for kings in Genesis 40, which Joseph showed to those of Pharaoh's house. David did likewise as recorded in Genesis 42. This Daniel does of the Lord before Nebuchadnezzar by his witness of Him as a husband of the earth. Then as a Prophet like onto Moses in Genesis 18, 1Kings 18, 2Kings 2 and a respectable person in genesis 24. Paul as the Lord of glory in 1Corinthains 2 and John in Revelation 19.
