The LORD our Passover

Continuing with the indexing for May 7

Isaiah 7:10-16 “Moreover the LORD spoke again to Ahaz, saying, Ask a sign of the LORD your God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD. And He said, Hear now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary My God also? Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel (the hidden one, equal with El). Butter and honey shall He eat, that He may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that you abhor shall be forsaken of both her kings.”

Jeremiah 31:22 “How long will you go about, O you backsliding daughter? for the LORD has created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.”

Galatians 4:1-5 (4) “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differs nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; but is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were children, were held in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.”

Matthew 1:22-23, 25 “Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us......Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took to him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.”

It must be note that Moses and Jesus has the same meaning, salvation through water. And this is what was spoken that a prophet like Moses would come from among his people like Moses.

Then in John 12:35-36 we find this as quoted; “Jesus said to them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not whither he goes. While you have light, believe the light, that you may be the children of light.”

Jesus is defiantly making reference to Himself as the Light that has come into the world, just as He was the Light called to dispel the darkness of Genesis 1. This is further emphasized by John in his synoptic gospel chapter 1, in fact John's revelation mentions light more times then any of the other synoptic gospels with 16 verses and 24 matches. I also make reference to the parable of the cloth and wine as they apply here, I should also include the fig-tree as further evidence.
